When America sneezes, the world catches a cold. Trump is the one of reasons we had a covid pandemic. He disbanded the American bio-defense team stationed in Asia to prevent spread of flu like diseases/viruses like covid. Several corona virus comes out of China, but they are usually detected early and controlled. Well, until Trump disbanded that team.

The world hasn't even fully recovered from effects of covid. Inflation that came up as result of cut in interest rate is still biting. Things are still crazy expensive. Supply chain is still a mess. Prior to covid, it takes 3 months to get a new Toyota vehicle ordered from factory, nowadays to buy same or similar Toyota vehicles can take up to 2 years from when order is placed to receive them.

Trump should just go away and spend time with his grandkids. Same with Biden.

Alright. So this married man has been disturbing her to get down with him. The thing is, she doesn't know how to tell the man no or how to discourage him. She doesn't know how to turn him down in order not to come off as rude, and also because of the money the man gives her.

Please, how best do you think she can do this. As a lady, how do you put off a married man who wants to get down with you, without sounding rude? And also without affecting the friendship you have with such person. She said she wants to do it in such a way that the man will not be offended. And also she doesn't want the issue to affect his financial gestures towards her.

I disagree,
Had it been they are in Nigeria I may agree but in Europe who will ever talk to them that they will hear!
They become lords unto themselves especially like this one the man married that brings nothing to the table thinking it is her private part that is most important to a man.

In 1986, when African writers decided to boycott the Nobel Prize for the apparent discrimination from the Royal Academy (up until then, no African was considered good enough for the prize), Soyinka showed up as a betrayer of the African collective cause and got the award

.....Soyinka might have a Nobel Prize, but that is not surely a comment on his social value as a writer. Even Abdulrazak Gurnah who was awarded the prize in 2021 said he thought it was a joke. Nobody knew him and he knew he did not deserve it.

In contrast, Ngugi wa Thiong'O has consistently been ignored by the Royal Academy, even though everyone in the literary field knows he is supposed to have long won it on merit. To put things in perspective, he taught Gurnah way back, and has taught many other greats

Ngugi's sin is that he would never bend to the Western ideologies, and he has canvassed on different occasions for African writers and indeed, writers from the Orient, to develop literature in their languages, instead of enriching metropolitan languages.

The West hates people like Ngugi, and can never reward them with their treasured literary prizes like the Nobel. To be an African writer deserving of the award, you have to have no hurtful opinion about the West. It is basically politics by the institutions of World Lit.
Achebe cut the perfect figure for the prize, and it was not surprising that he got it in 1986. Canonised writers like Achebe who took on Greene and Conrad could not have been rewarded for questioning the jaundiced representation of Africans in Western literature

What most of you don't know supporting such a leaders who ought to make things better but making excuses for them, make them more horrible than they are. You ask for the job, fix the God dam problem and stop making excuses.

If you are an employer if one of your employees keep making excuses or performs badly, will you keep making excuses for him?. Most of you won't take what is happening to Nigeria, if it were your personal business.

Others are making giant strides in their country not because they have two heads but because they understood the problem and have them fix. If he continues like this Nigeria a docile country might end up being a country where me and you want be able to live in.

Thank you for the education. After reading your explanation, we are saying the same thing. Anyone will enter the train, after collecting the details from them and stamping the ticket free. It is open to abuse when it is free. It is also taxpayers money funding the 'free' rides so how do we maintain it By the time government wants to put fees on it, people are used to freebies they don't want to pay again. If it was a form of subsidy to certain people, that will even make more sense but free, who no like free thing?
