@LagosNIV @AbujaNIV; I am on F-1 visa and my wife is on F-2 visa. She's currently pregnant and this is our first child. I want to apply for her mother to stay with her so that I can concentrate on my studies. What kind of visa should we apply for her? Looking forward to seeing a response from you. |

What document(s) do I need to give her for her visa interview? Do I need to write letter inviting her or?. Please guide me. Thanks! |

Hello,
I'm done with one year of my masters and will be starting my second year in August. Should I evaluate my B.Sc and one year of my masters transcript or I evaluate only my B.Sc? |

She said have just showed them the remitta receipt and explaining to them that she paid 5k for processing and 20k for sending to WES... funshobabs: Please my people, my wife just came home and start telling me that the contact in unilag said they want 20k to process her transcript and send to Wes, after paying 25k through remita. Am so appalled right now. This is so unfair... Plz any help. |

Hi,
I send a tweet to WesCanada on Twitter to make ask the question; if GCE can send my evaluated transcript to them and I was told my institution need to send to them directly.
Another question; which of organizations listed by IRCC is the fastest? I don't want to use WES... |

Step two is to follow all the links provided there.
You can use GCE if it's on the list of evaluating agencies approved by IRCC.
If GCE is not on the list, then pick one from the list and visit their website for their requirements. WES for one requires your transcript in an envelope sealed and stamped by your institution. |

Hi,
I have read 0 page of this thread. Kudos to the guy who took his time to write that vital infos. I have a question, I have my B.Sc. transcript evaluated by GCE. Do one need to still evaluate my transcript again by WES?
If yes, am to evaluate my transcript by WES again?. Can I ask GCE to send my transcript to WES instead of asking my UG institution to send it to WES? Which one do you think it right? Looking forward to seeing a response from you guys. |

Bro, intended course of study: Statistics. For my GPA, I'll try harder in the 2nd half of my program. Thanks... femi312: Really? One would have thought being in the system would have given you more insight. However, how do you want strangers to suggest school without intended course of study?. You didn't write GRE before you started your masters? Additionally since yout plan is to do Phd after masters, I think you need to do better with your Msc gpa, Aim for >3.8. No correlation between your UG gpa and Msc gpa right now |

Can you email me the material(s) used to prepare for IELTS. My email is phdadmission105@gmail.com armanilove: Hi Guys,
For those asking, i started this journey sometime in August 2016, i took IELTS - W (6.5), R(8.5), S(7), L ( , my WES took 3 months to complete cos my school took time to respond to WES. However, i submitted my profile in Feb 2017, and lo and behold i saw a score of 397 , Jesus!, i couldnt take the shock at that time, i kept asking my small clique of friends why my score was not even above 400. One said it might be my IELTS, i said that cant be true cos i did well (so i thought). i was so upset that i ditched everything that has to do with relocation.
Fast forward to August 2017, i came across the CRS tool, that was when i knew my 6.5 in writing was responsible for all this. I paid for another IELTS and did well this time W (7.5), R(9), S(7.5), L (8.5). My score pushed to 438, and two days (Sept 6) later i got ITA, i was lucky the cut-off scores were around 433, so my wife didn't have to do IELTS or WES, and she just gave birth on 3rd Sept.
So my timelines are:
ITA Sept 6 I submitted all requirements on Nov 7 Additional information on Nov 21 waited and waited and waited....emailed them on 16th May (how far, whats holding my application..) PPR on 18th May.
I understand passport submission has to be done at VFS Global.
Also heard the queues there are pretty long and one can come by 7am and leave by 1 pm. How true is this? and whats the best approach?
Regards |
