It takes the grace of God to get good jobs in Nigeria. Most times you need connection or the right information.

If you are in Benin City and don't mind working in a bank, FCMB Ugbowo branch is in urgent need of I. T staffs . Walk in and ask of Ms Success, submit your application and CV to her. Tell her you saw my naira land post and you'll have an edge if you have the right qualification.

PS: The first stage of the interview will be held this Friday 26/03/21 so do well to submit on or before Wednesday.

just imagine how a so called church is handling a sensitive case,it's obvious they just want to silence this woman.
is it too hard for their head officers to look into it,see the way they are handling this case but if it were to b d government they will want to burn everything down.

it's obvious people are more active when criticizing others

I think this woman is trying too hard to gain public sympathy. A few questions please!

What is the name of the masked doctor that was arrested?

why has the police not released a statement about any such arrest?

who did the arrested doctor say sent him?

what is the name of the hospital?

The situation is already bad and was initially poorly handled by deeper life high school but this woman is certainly clout chasing with this unfortunate incidence to the detriment of her son's social and emotional well being

Education / Re: Let’s Discuss! If School Does Not Work Out, What Is Your Back Up Plan? by PhDinView: 7:41am On Dec 14, 2020
Dear Op,

I don't know exactly what you mean by "if school does not work out" but judging from some of the comments I've read, I want to assume that you are asking about our alternate course of action in the event that we are not able to secure white collar jobs with fat pay slips and favourable working conditions.

The standard of formal education in Nigeria at all levels is very poor. Tertiary institutions no longer offer the requisite knowledge and skill sets for fresh graduates to survive or thrive in the labour market. Thanks to bad political leaders in public offices who steal tax payers money with reckless abandon, the labour market is literally dead.

in summary, as a Nigerian graduate, the odds of "school working out" are against you. Having a "plan B" should therefore not be negotiable.

Despite having a B.Sc., two M.Sc., and (if no further strike) a PhD by Sept/Oct 2021, I use my Toyota Corolla to do cab and sew my clothes myself.

Sewing is a skill I picked up during my NYSC days.

As an Assistant Lecturer in a federal tertiary institution with a meagre 140k salary, moving out of Nigeria once I get PhD will be very feasible if the federal government clears the 5 months salary backlog. Nigeria tire me jor.

Career / Re: Protest As INTELS Sacks Over 700 Workers Without Benefits by PhDinView: 6:36am On Dec 12, 2020
Labour law in Nigeria is both weak and not effective because of corruption and weak government institutions.

I feel sorry for the dependants of the sacked workers.

So sorry for the loss of your brother. May his soul rest in peace and may you find justice.

You and your brother ought to have taken the initial threat to life seriously by arresting and making him sign an undertaken. There would have been an initial report to that effect to nail the cold murderer. Wicked Policeman!

Dating And Meet-up Zone / Re: She Finally Agreed by PhDinView: 5:51am On Dec 12, 2020
How old are you please?

If you are a teenager or an undergraduate, I'll advice you focus on your studies or whatever trade you are learning.

Things are kind of hard already in Nigeria. You should be asking for tips on how to make your life better and not how to keep a new girl friend.

PS: Unsuccessful men chase ladies while ladies run after successful men.

Health / Re: My Experience With Sleep Paralysis by PhDinView: 12:00pm On Dec 11, 2020
Dear OP,

There is nothing spiritual about your problem. To reduce the rate at which you experience sleep paralysis, try and set multiple alarm clocks to wake you from your sleep at intervals. Also, try and force yourself out of your temporarily paralysed state each time you experience it. It might be difficult at first, but with time you might be able to just snap out of it at will. its all about your mental strength.

PS: The suggestions I've given do not have any scientific backing. They are just my opinion and it possibly might not work.

I sincerely hope that you find solution to your problem quickly.

There is nothing special about FTC.

Burna Boy and Wizkid are not gospel artists neither do they lead godly and inspirational life styles. Their secular music do not draw inspiration from the Bible. Their music therefore has no place in a true church of Christ.

zealousayo:

And your moniker suggests you're about to bag P.hd? With this reasoning? Ronaldo that completely disappeared yesterday? You should try and educate yourself first sir.

Dear Ayo,

I am truly sorry that my opinion on the importance of penalties to football and my preference for one good footballer over another has made you uncomfortable to the point of quoting me.

However, it is what it is - my opinion.

There is no part of my earlier comment where I mentioned that CR7 was the man of the match or played better than Messi. All I did was explain the importance of penalties and stated my preference for CR7.

Football and Educational degrees have little correlation. I have been watching football with professors in their offices since my M.Sc. days and they don't analyse matches based on their degrees.

PhD aside, you could be a better football analyst than I am. It has nothing to do with the Thesis I'm writing or the papers I publish.

Once again, Sorry!
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Opinion: Is Teaching In Private School The Worst Collar Job In Nigeria? by PhDinView: 11:13am On Dec 11, 2020
The last time I entered into a classroom to teach (with my Master's degree) was in 2016 for a meagre salary of 20,000 naira. I have long resigned, relocated from Benin city and now lecture in a university.

Teaching is all about passion. If you want to be comfortable or rich, please think of something else to do other than teaching.

Even as an assistant lecturer, the salary is still meagre.

Sports / Re: Ronaldo Outshines Messi As Juventus Beat Barcelona by PhDinView: 10:10am On Dec 09, 2020
I had to log in just to educate Messi fan boys a little about the importance of "penalties".

Penalties have been a part of the round leather game since its inception and is not going to go away any time soon.

While football brings excitement and entertainment to players, fans and spectators alike, the real essence of playing is to score goals. If you like play well, get the highest chance at goal and unimaginable possession stats, if you don't score a goal, you don't win.

Without goals, there is no winner. For a winner to emerge sometimes( after goalless encounter) a penalty is awarded.

You see? although penalties are often awarded for fowls and reckless decisions in the box, its importance should not be undermined.

Do you know that people miss penalties? scoring it is not often very easy.

Do you know that if Messi had scored some of his most important penalties he would have been both a world cup winner and a Copa America winner?

Do you know that there have never been a season where Ronaldo's penalty goals outnumber his open play goals? NEVER

Do you know that at just 33years of age Messi's penalty goals are MORE THAN TWICE HIS OPEN PLAY GOALS?

When you want to criticize, please be objective. Penalty goal is just as important as an open play goal. They give points and decide trophies and create history more than aimless dribbles.

I like Messi because he is a very brilliant player, but obviously I like Ronaldo more.

Messi scores a penalty against Juve and its OK by you. 6/8 of his goals in this season are penalties (which is OK to me and you) but doest get a nick name like Pessi. When our darling CR7 scores one or two penalties, you hate for him will wear suit and you'll start ranting and diminishing the importance of the goal.

Since you know more than UEFA, oya come and place Barca ahead of Juve as group winner na

You can use the "shots on target and dribbles" to do that. At least, Eden Harzard and Neymar have used their dribbles to win the Champions league too
