codebrew85: Hi all,
Please I need some advice on how best to tackle this issue.
OINP is currently processing my application for nomination and so I got this ADR to provide more info on my proof of fund.
I have requested for the reference letter from the two banks but they both are dragging feet on issuing the letter in the format required by Ontario.
GTB issued an introduction letter instead and advised I request for a letter of non-indebtedness to back it up.
Still waiting on Stanbic...
My concern is will the above suffice?
Please my people, I need suggestions on how best to resolve this issue. @40manlappy, @Glitteringstar @elfmannisback @cochtrane @Newmum0615 et al I received a similar ADR from OINP some months ago. I submitted an FD certificate which clearly stated that I'll pay a penalty if I liquidate the investment before maturity but they still sent the ADR. I begged my account officer like my life depended on it to get me a short letter indicating that my investment was free of any debts or encumbrances and that it can be terminated any time I want. That was how I scaled through. |

fatiah: You just spoke my mind. They are understaffed and d lady seems to be doing work meant for at least 2 personnels. She even made a mistake while processing me for d medical examinations but I couldn't really fault her cos I understand she was under a lot of pressure and she actually apologised for it There are at least two staff at the front desk of Abuja Clinics where I did mine and they appeared to be under pressure. So I can just imagine how one person will be left with such work load. To make matters worse, patients coming for consultation/treatment walk to the same desk too. |

AyeMayBe: Also to make sure that the placeholder for UK PCC doesn't pop up, I think you should try inputting Nigeria (or wherever you were as at the period of masters) as place of study instead of UK. Then further explain in your LOE. Thanks Aye, this didn't change anything but I'll keep trying. |

Newmum0615: Write an LOE and reiterate the fact that you studied via correspondence and thus would not require an LOE because you were not physically present in the country. Refer them to the "by correspondence" you indicated beside your institution's name. Thanks Newmum. This helps. |

katyamizotta: The wait is almost over
I got my GCMS Notes and it reads: PA states employed by Wazobia Bank since 2009 till present.
Documents I submitted previously: Payslips for one year Salary, savings, fixed deposit, and USD accounts with treasury bill as proof of funds. Reference, employment, deployment, redeployment and promotion letters. Copy of staff ID card. If I'm able to submit job reference letter and bank account letter (for PoF) in CIC format, I hope they won't still be looking out for these things anymore? |

Work experience concern: help needed... In the last 10 years, I've had 3 different job titles under same NOC in the same organisation. In creating my EE profile, I recorded just my current job role spanning the entire 10 years since it's been same organisation and NOC all these years. However, the reference letter obtained from HR contains details of all job titles and respective duties. Do I have to update my EE profile to align with my reference letter? But that will mean several placeholders in the eAPR form right? But I have just 1 letter... |

Canadatlast: I couldn't have written this better. NB: I can do without it but for crying out loud Nigeria is hard and not everyone is wealthy. I remember almost hugging the Boss at the Canadian Embassy when she said I could use it. It was like a lottery I won because I really needed it. This wouldn't hurt me so much if I didn't confirm and if I didn't know of anyone who used it. I'll do them an email today or tomorrow and take a screenshot of whatever response I get. I'll advice others who are free to visit their embassy and send emails(Please don't start stating % they should tell you that if necessary). If it's illegal to use the 100%, it's also illegal to use 25% because it's not available at time of application same reason we can't use equity on real estate. Your application for permanent residence is not considered at the embassy. If you spoke to a VO it would be different. Let's be guided by the information available at canada.ca and whatever extra advice we can get from IRCC's twitter handle. I obtained a letter from IBTC recently and the 25% clause was boldly stated therein. Also, In my OINP application I was asked to provide additional information on my NOC/duties for a previous bank grade (they mentioned the grade live!) Meanwhile, the reference letter I submitted initially only had my current grade and didn't mention previous grades anywhere. They know more than you think they know. It's their job to know by the way. |

fantababy: Thank you all for your input on my question although most responses were harsh. We all read and interpret differently. There was no need to indirectly lay insults.
I was ready to wait for my ECA result before entering the pool, seniors ahead of us said, 'just enter the pool, use ur Wes reference and the projected time ur ECA result will be out. fantababy, the man or hubby doesn't always have the best idea or opinion. And in this case, you appear to know better than him so don't join hands to ruin your dream because of pride. Did they ask for any date or serial number of your POF when you were filling in the Express Entry information? NO! How can you then relate it with ECA? It is a condition precedent, please go over it again. There's a way that seemeth right...my #10kobo |

eaglemaniac: I am a silent follower of this thread although I have posted here once or twice in the past but I just feel I should post this to encourage someone.
I got interested in migrating to Canada in January, 2016 and so the first step was for myself and spouse to write IELTS which we both wrote in March, 2016. When the result came out we discovered that our CRS point was not enough to get an ITA so we decided to go through the PNP route. We sent an EOI to one of the provinces that was opened at that time and got an invitation to apply to the province which we did in August, 2016. There was total silience from the province till march this year when we got a mail that we had been nominated by the province. This gave us additional 600 CRS points which automatically gave us an ITA in the next draw.
We submitted our application for permanent residence on the 27th of May and got an AOR that same day. Medicals got passed on the 8th of August, got na2 the next day after which there was no movement till 24th of September when my ADR changed to not needed. I also got to know that my application was transferred to London. My application clocked 6months on the 27th of November but my application status was still Na2. This got me worried so I sent a mail to London but did not get any reply. I then sent another mail but this time around they replied stating that my application was awaiting final review by an officer. Before long, on the 30th of November I check my application status and discovered that I was in ip2 (we are processing your background check). Later that same day I got an email from donotreply stating that I have a message in my cic account, checked my account and saw the golden mail I had been dreaming of for almost 2years. It was a ppr mail. This is actually the happiest day of my life. The feeling of excitement cannot be explained. Can't wait to start life in Canada.
Never give up on your dreams. I wish everyone still waiting speedy ppr. Congratulations! |

XX01: I need assistance. Those that evaluated foreign degrees with WES, how did you send that form that you download from WES website? When I did mine, I was in the UK so I walked up to them to give them. Can u choose not to include it? If you're ordering a transcript directly from your school, you should fill and send the form by email to the registry or examinations department (it varies with Universities) after you've paid for the transcript. If you're using option 3 below, you don't need the form. Hope this helps?

stonecoldcafe: Hello every one. I am reading from the 2 thread. From the information i am seeing there, i don't have to access my degree if i have a masters. So this is my case Degree from a Nigerian university Masters from a UK university
Can someone confirm for real that if i focused on just the UK Master transcript to WES, this would not become an issue for me. Anyone with a positive testimony of this should please share. Ejo...
PS: The only reason i'm not inclined to go ahead with the degree transcript is the associated cost. My school is fairly decent in responding to foreign bodies.... Like you've already been advised, your Masters alone will suffice. The good thing with using WES for UK degrees is that they accept 3rd party academic records providers like Gradintel depending on your school. So you can simply send WES a token which they'll use to access your records (transcript) directly while you use hellofax.com to send a copy of your certificate to WES. Best of luck! |

I think NOC 0 is for managerial positions. Yes, the job description should be considered more, however, there's hardly any level 0 job that's not a managerial role. My thoughts. |

Bsbabe: I have worked in 2 banks and both treat this differently. In one, if you’re a ‘trainee’, you are not yet full staff. In the other, they don’t call you a ‘trainee’ during your probation period. Yes, but as a trainee, you already have a contract with the bank as a full time employee. Experience gathered during that probationary period is part and parcel of your total work experience. It shouldn't be subtracted. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by phf2be: 9:03am On Nov 26, 2017 |
Bsbabe: Note though some of our Nigerian Banks can be funny. They can say he/she was not ‘core/full’ staff while a Grafuate Trainee and the letter they will issue may start from when they considered you a full staf of their organisation. Your banking experience begins on the day you sign the 'contract' which is usually the first day of your induction programme. Confirmation, just like promotion, is an important milestone which is determined by employment date. |
