Who rules the state if not same Ikwerre.

So that's their issue not mine but carving them here we don't need it.
You should ohh! As una no let us rest, that them make we rest.

The politics of that state has been driven by interests and not ethnicity. If people want to push the ethnic narrative I hope they will take it in good fate when things turn the other way.

Osagyefo98:
Ikwerre are ikwerre not Igbos.

So they should demand for an Ikwerre state.

Moreover all Ijaws should be dissolved in Bayelsa that's how it should be.
Ijaw have fought for Rivers state for more than 70 years! Read your history, read about late chief Harold Dappa Biriye from grand Bonny kingdom. He led our quest for state.

People like late captain Elechi Amadi begged that Ikwerre people should be allowed to be part of our state, let them campaign for their state, Rivers state was not created for them.

They will remain there rather Ijaw should be moved to Bayesla.

That's the right pattern
They can't remain in a state Ogoni and Ijaw people fought for its creation. If they want a state, they should fight for theirs or if they are related to the people of Imo and Abia, let them be merged with their people.
Politics › Re: Uche Okwukwu: APC To Win More Igbo States Before 2023– Ohanaeze SecretaryGeneral by PHijo(m): 1:07pm On Jan 16, 2020
They should just merge Ikwerre with Imo or Abia and let Ijaw and Ogoni people in Rivers state have their peace.

Realhommie:
You're wrong.. So what should it be used for? Who is the 'church'? Did the church manufacture the money all by itself?

Jesus said 'the poor will always be in your midst'.. It's the responsibility of the church to take care of the poor and needy in her midst..

Please note that our argument in this context is
not the building but the body of fellowship.. The ways of the church ought not to be same with the world, leave the government out of it.. The church has to be more responsible, especially those mega rich churches.

It's not enough to build structures and plant churches everywhere. They need to step up and do more in the area of welfare.

"Acts of the Apostles"..
I am not sure you are familiar with the context Jesus expressed that statement!

He was criticised for using perfume that could have been sold to help the poor.

People are poor because of ignorance. No amount of help will change their condition. People should come out of ignorance before the problem of poverty could be solved. Helping ignorant people is a waste of resources.

Many people take the church for granted. Some years back I remember one man who always came to church to disturb people like me for money. He wasn't ready to change, he wasn't ready to make himself useful.

I was a leader in LFC, the process was necessary to avoid all sorts of abuse. In my area we approved support in the same way. Some people come only on Sundays for the sole purpose of getting assistance . If that is what they come to church for then there is no need for them to come. The church should prepare you for a fulfilling life here on earth and eternity in heaven.

If that is lacking we've missed the most important points.

If people can't learn how to succeed in life through LFC I wonder where they will learn!

Realhommie:
The point you've raised is exactly my issue with the church in general and LFC in particular. I'm a Winner btw.

Now, I'm not saying the church isn't trying in reaching out to the poor and less privileged in her midst, I'm saying they're not doing enough when compared to the wealth they accrue..

2 years ago, someone i knew was in the accounts department of a state church in the south, that is the state headquarters of tge LFC family.. He said a lady came to the church on a Sunday morning asking for financial assistance, the child was critically ill and needed urgent medical attention.. The welfare department asked her to write to this, unit pastor, district head, home cell leader and so on. That was the protocol.

So, practically it was impossible for her to get any help on that day yet her child was dying. What if the child had passed on by the time help would come which would be days?? A lady in the finance department on hearing the lady's story was livid. She went on a rant saying they had just realised 23 million plus during the first service alone and they hold 3 services on sundays. What would it cost the church to attend to the needy lady's case? She was a committed member btw.

Similar situation happened in my own branch with a lady too. It's why i say the church isn't doing enough with regards to tending to the poor and needy in her midst. Imagine one church realizing #23 million plus in just one service, do the math for all states churches and then district churches to smaller branches nationwide and beyond. The winners church is extremely rich.

A friend of mine left the church recently saying it has become too money conscious.. Imagine our RP saying he didn't receive any gifts for easter during sermon on a Sunday service, saying the members are not nice, he was disappointed and stuff.. Oga but them dey pay you na, i just weak.
If people steal despite this process what do you expect if there is no process in place?

As much as I sympathise with people like the woman in question. Nobody is entitled to the church's money. If anyone gets assistance fine but if no assistance comes forth so be it.

What is the role of your government?

What have we done as individuals or communities to improve our lot?

African should try to be more productive. The world is leaving us behind.

You see am
The typical Niger Delta reasoning
You guys have not seen anything yet

You have not

Igbos are not blameless
Our leaders made some mistakes, not relating to most of what was posted by you up there btw

But you guys are not blame less either
Your people killed and betrayed us, allowed the Nigerian army use your flank to over run and kill us off.

Have you bothered why the north fights to remain a monolith
While at the same time divide the former eastern region,

Many of you don't use your sense
And see short sighted
That has always been your problem

Now we are all receiving the short end of the stick
which northern coup plotters is this one saying?
Look ar this one cheesy
To start with, the North did not fight to divide the defunct eastern region. It was Eastern minorities who fought to divide the defunct eastern region.

Till date you Igbos have failed to take responsibility for your actions before the war, during the war and after the war and you expect other ethnicities from the former eastern region to support your excesses when you can't have the courtesy to apologise for your war crimes.

You were not betrayed. You betrayed those that chose to fight on your side.

Boro made the first attempt to secede. It was you Igbos who imprisoned him.

Now you expected Boro and his people to help you acquire your own freedom! It makes no sense.

If you truly wanted your freedom you should have left Boro and his people and emancipated your people and you expected them to sit quietly while you overrun their homeland.

Even after The war, we saw what your ilk did to us (especially those from Rivers)
The history is all there

Assuming Biafra has split then
Don't you think it would have been better for us

You guys allowed the leeches up north to deceive you

Now they are the ones stealing the goodies

Now Nigeria is far gone
Nigeria cannot split again

Until una get sense
You guys will be pillaged and pillaged and pillaged

Until nothing is left

Actions have consequences
DEAL WITH IT
Your people severally betrayed the people of southern Nigeria. You betrayed Eyo Ita in the then Eastern region. You betrayed the Yoruba members of your party south west which led to the tribal politics they play in south west. You betrayed Northern coup plotters and you sabotaged the Niger Delta 's independence effort both politically and militarily and you expect the man you betrayed to lead an army in the support of your Biafra?

The Niger Delta did nothing to you. On the contrary you have one of the major sources of ALL her woes. Till date you can't even take responsibility for your evil actions.

We are not looking for your sympathy. It is inconsequential and you are not trustworthy.

I agree with bolded 1 and 3

However
For bolded 2
Igbos are rigged out of the system too, and we are forced to succeed outside the system
So you see what we have in common

Nigeria is rigged against every one except the bourgeois in the far north

Even the SW goons who like to feel among
Recent happenings over the last 5 months have shown that they are not even in the setting either

So you see
Igbo people can farm if they choose to farm. Some communities can't even fish! Waterways are polluted. People feel like hostages in their homeland. Basic necessities like petrol and cement cost 300 percent or more in our communities. Job opportunities are allotted to Nigerians at the expense of locals but the locals have to contend with inflationary pressures caused by Nigeria and her partners.

A good example is Bonny island, if pure water cost 10 naira in Owerri it will cost 30 naira in Bonny but Nigeria has a uniform minimum wage. Despite having the first schools in Nigeria, educational standard has fallen since we as a people became part of Nigeria. Kingdoms like Bonny, Nembe, Kalabari, Opobo, Okrika and a host of others made progress before Nigeria. Since Nigeria came to being Ijaw people's fortune has been in a steady decline. Many people wouldn't believe the first SAN was Ijaw. The first Nigerian to own a private jet was also Ijaw.

Our greatest undoing is that we take every Nigerian as brothers when they don't see us the same way.

Even the so called ethnic minorities are lazy
They are nowhere in the oil producing value chain

It's all foreigners
All we collect is economic rent
Let's be clear on that

It's not lije the Niger delta are working day and night and the govt is stealing their earnings

That said
When I said Switzerland has Similar structure to Nigeria
I meant the demographic
Not Political structure

They are not homogeneous
Just like Nigeria
But
They found a way to make the best of it

Nigerians and Africans in general are largely STUPID
That is why ethnic hegemony is at all levels
And breaking the country will not help matters

We need to cure the society of the stupidity first
Then after that
Whether we choose to stay together or break
We will be better off for it

Imo state, the Mbaise are stigmatized and are not seen as worthy to lead the state
It took a fool like Okoroawusa for Imo state to vote an Mbaise person

Look at Kogi and Benue states

Even within the states
We see the same rubbish
So if Kogi or Benue become an independent country
What will it solve if the reasoning is still same (Igala and Tivs respectively)
Your choice of word is wrong!
We don't share a similar structure to that of Switzerland.
The similarity between both countries is that they are multiethnic. That's all. Nigeria is also multi religious.

People are largely uninformed etc

On the ethnic nations of the Niger Delta;

They suffer much pain because of Nigeria and Nigerians. The system is rigged against them.

That's a fact!

Mindset and structure have to change for Nigeria to make any meaningful progress.

Fishing, farming and tourism all had potential in the swamps of the Niger river delta but Nigeria's structure and mindset has encouraged the pollution of the land and waterways.

We did not ask Nigeria to exploit and explore for oil in our homeland. The least they could do is give us a fair share and protect our environment.

The truth is most Nigerians view the Niger Delta as conquered territory. We were not conquered by conquest.

It's the mindset
Not the structure

We have a similar structure as Switzerland

Different nations under one roof

Are they not managing
How is our structure similar to Switzerland?

I would want to believe the issue is your choice of words.

The Swiss practice a considerable level of autonomy. That is lacking in Nigeria.

The whole country is feeding fat on the sweat, blood and land of the oil producing ethnic nations in Nigeria.

He asked about UK, France and Germany and I told him how they got rich. Do you disagree they got rich by robbing the rest of the world? If you do, you need history lessons.

China got developed through a 40 year programme of heavy suppression of civil rights, import bans, and dictatorship.

Singapore and Malaysia are among the 4 or 5 Asian 'tigers' that were chosen by the victorious allies after WW2 to develop as capitalist bulwarks against Soviet-style communism in the Pacific, and so were flooded with capital, technology transfer, and offered open western markets to sell manufactured goods. That's how they became 'tiger economies'.

So, those are artificial western capitalist outposts created by the west.

Their neighbours, of the same racial/cultural stock but apparently in a totally different universe in terms of living standards, are the ''unchosen'' ones - Cambodia, Burma, Nepal, North Korea, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka etc etc etc etc.
You haven't still said who Germany robbed to get rich!

You guys are filled with unnecessary excuses. Germany is what it is today because their political and business leaders developed a strategy for sustainable growth.

Nigeria is poor today because of her peoples. Nigeria must come up with a plan that benefits all her nations or remain irrelevant.
