There is no how you can say APC (which has had less than 8 years) is worse than PDP which had 16 years and did nothing extraordinary for which it should be remembered.
Well, APC's 5 years have been worse!

No time under PDP did over 6 million lose their jobs.
Moreso, many of those who destroyed PDP are the dominant forces in APC!

People like Uzodinma, Ngige, Sylvia, Amaechi, el-Rufai etc were all members of PDP.

Instead of PDP, the political class would have been more appropriate.

Definitely!

We have handled greater epidemic like People's Democratic Party so Corona virus will not be much of a task or risk.
The only time Nigeria dealt with an epidemic was under Jonathan's PDP government!

No thanks to this clueless APC government polio resurfaced.

You have every right to hate PDP but it is disingenuous trying to make APC look better when it is even worse.

Indeed everything Buhari did when he became president triggered the recession that was why Okonjo was telling us to get ready to drink garri n that was also why Jonathan had to take a loan to pay civil servant. The oil output suppose put off the foolishness you are spilling out but bigotry, acute foolishness n endemic hate won't let you see beyond your horizon.
If you understood the basic principles of economics you would know that cutting costs or increasing spending are all measures that could be adopted in averting recession.

Yes, Buhari is the primary cause of Nigeria's recession. Nigeria today is not the Nigeria he knew in the 70s and 80s.

Crude oil today is less relevant as it was then. Figures don't lie. Under Buhari crude oil production reduced ( due to his bigotry), foreign portfolio investment dried up. Foreign direct investment reduced significantly, Non performing loans increased, over 6 million jobs were lost. Several manufacturers left Nigeria for Ghana. Etc

Sonnyboom:
In a million times BTW Buhari VS Jonathan it will always be Buhari. Jonathan was corruption personified but Buhari as proven he is not as corrupt though he might have scored lower than expected.

Economy PDP was a disaster waiting to happening with crude selling above $100 n Ebele needed to borrow to pay civil servant salary n Iweala was telling Nigerians to get ready to drink garri. Like Sarki Buhari as been a let down so far but if the option is BTW him Atiku or Ebele again let us be very clear it will still be Buhari until PDP produce a beta candidate n not one of the devils.

And you Jonathan supporter never apologized then daily killing was hovering around 20 - 50 daily. I say nobody owe you father any apology.

But a despicable thief like Atiku is OK for the 21 century in your deluded mind ba ?
It is quite unfortunate that till date people like you have bluntly refused to inform and educate yourselves.

1. Jonathan was not corruption personified as you claim. No one in the last 30 years have prevented corruption as he did. That he was not harassing opponents or perceived opponents with security agencies did not mean he was not combating theft and corruption.

2. When Jonathan took over oil output was less than 50 percent. Having a high oil price doesn't necessarily translate to more revenue.
3. What triggered the lower oil price was not lower oil price, Nigeria had to deal with that already in 2014. What triggered the recession was Buhari's interference in the day to day administration of the CBN, his failure to appoint a cabinet 6 months into his tenure and his hostile attitude towards the Niger Delta region which led to production cuts.
4.In a country ignorance is rife, I am not surprised people still support Buhari despite the mismanagement of the economy, security lapses and his ethnic and religious extremist tendencies.

Who cares if it will ALWAYS be Buhari? As if the suffering selects PDP supporters. For as long as most Nigerians decide to be driven by stupidity and sentiments, failures and mediocre politicians will dominate the policy making process.

I wish my ethnic nation was not part of this entity. We would have made more progress.
Politics › Re: Ugwuanyi Hands Over Five Innoson Fire Fighting Trucks To State Fire Service by PHijo(m): 8:12am On Jan 31, 2020
5 fire trucks is TOTALLY inadequate!
Why do African do things just to be in the news? If there's a fire outbreak how can 5 trucks combat it?

Governments and banks are supposed to be catalysts for economic growth but in Nigeria it is the other way round. They destroy businesses!

No sir!!!!

Knowing fully well that corruption is a way of life to the citizenry and the leaders

Disobedience of law and order is now seen as a way of life

That singular act of not been indicted with corruption charges and modesty is what first endears him to me

Read some statements online they attacked him based on religion and tribe or based on party

Opposition has a vital role to play

We must criticize constructively
If you believed that, they deceived you!

He also had corruption hanging over his neck. Till date, neither he (petroleum minister), or his principal (Obasanjo), head of state has accounted for 2 billion naira. Worth of 700billion Naira today that disappeared from the coffers when he was in charge.

Even if one could absolve him, what about those around him? The Tinubus, Amaechis of this world?

It was obvious from the onset that neither PDP or APC could tackle theft or corruption.

Some of us saw that and supported PDP because they could manage the economy better.

Sadly some fell for the APC hoax, others were motivated by religion, ethnicity or personal interest.

Today, everyone suffers the consequences together!

How I wish democracy had a way of exempting those who made the right choice from the suffering imposed on them by the majority.

I hope in the future you guys learn how to make rational and not emotional choices based on ignorance and arrogance.

“If we go by proportion, say Jonathan take what you have done in any area at the national level, and take what Amaechi has done as governor of Rivers in that area, Amaechi scored better in education, health, security; the governor scored one million times better.”....Prof. Tam David West.

There was a time a Governor was outperforming a president.
Also not true!
Late professor Tam David West was spreading that propaganda for reasons best known to him. In the last 20 years Rivers state governors have underperformed. Amaechi not being an exception. Prior to 1999, Rivers state sought inspiration outside Nigeria! We didn't see Nigerian cities or states as our peers.

If one will go by you and late professor West's mode of measuring success, one will probably say Wike has done better than Buhari a trillion times!.

But Rivers indigenes here are not complaining. Most of them are busy insulting Buhari. Only very few speak up and when they do, majority of the foolish ones tag them Apc members.
Says who?
As much as Wike has his flaws he is better than Buhari in the minds of most people. Nonetheless comparing a president with a governor will be the wrong comparison. We can compare the governor or president to their predecessors or peers and not comparing the governor to the president.

Jonathan would have still been President, but Igbos' greed made them to pocket him, used the Power against Yorubas and backstab OBJ that brought him to Power. I only hope that they will tell themselves the truth for once and learn, so that the whole South can work together as Brothers.

Faces: One is smiling like a mumu, one is on the most evil mission on Earth.
Igbos did this, did that!....what about the Yoruba? Who marched @ Ojota?

If the price of garri increases or insecurity gets worse, does it select Ijaw, Yoruba, Berom etc?

On the contrary, Yoruba should learn to support the better candidates and not candidates they were told to support by their "ogas @ d top" or for ethnic or religious reasons.

Show me any state including Lagos that has 1700km of roads construction ongoing and some complete. That's what mr udom Emmanuel is doing.
Show me any state that has built transmission and distribution stations in their state.
Udom Emmanuel has built the ekim power station and several power step down stations across the state, and akwa ibom via its ibom power plant is the only state in the country that produces 191mw of electricity without any FG input.
FYI akwa ibom only needs about 50 to 80 mw of power. But for the FG exclusive list that takes Akwa ibom 191MW to national grid, Akwa ibom should be enjoying 24/7 power supply. The state has made enough investments to see it happen.

For whether the stadium is neccessary, is a matter of opinion. When Akpabio built the 30,000 uyo stadium many people shouted white elephants more than you are doing now but today they are the ones singing praises of the stadium.
That uyo stadium is the only fifa compliant stadium in Nigeria till today.
Time will vindicate the governor on the eket stadium. So you are entitled to your opinion, but that doesn't make your opinion a fact.
Both Uyo and Eket stadium are white elephant projects but I would been glad if my governors in the last 20 years, Odili, Amaechi and Wike did the same in Rivers state.

Instead what the trio have been known for is supporting violent groups, having monarchs in the North West and South West in the good books, buying the press and sponsoring their respective parties with our resources. Much of the glory Rivers state lives on was attained in the 70s till mid 80s.

Udom and Akapabio could do much better. You are right, none of those facilities adds value. I hope Udom's successor will figure out how to add value.
