I'm looking to get a nice car that is not so old so looking at Nigeria used models of a Corolla 2013 vs Accord 2013.
Which would you recommend and why?

I have a short vid but it's not uploading here. the crank tone is very even and sounds quite normal but it doesn't start. is there any abnormal lights on the dash?
do you know any competent Nissan mechanic on this thread?

the car can at least crank now.
I put the key fob in the compartment for it but no effect at first.
however, I removed the battery so it doesn't run down but forgot to remove the key fob where I put it earlier.
when I put the battery the next day so I can only roll down the windows, I noticed the key light has disappeared and the engine can crank.

and what tire size can raise the car without problems? it runs a 225/50R17 and 225/55R17, the normal factory size.

Hi guys so I joined the club (bought the Infiniti fX35) and I’m about to do some mods. Please help review my todo list and suggest based on your experience.

My to do list
- Seat Cover or Upholstery? (current OEM front seats have minor cracks and peels)
- Entertainment: Android Tesla vertical screen or Double Din replacement? (current one is the Orange font FM/tape, CD doesn’t work, so I got a plug in cigarette light Bluetooth connector for now).
- Catalyst? (A mechanic checked and found the Catalyst was removed and the exhaust pipe welded in place. Is what the mechanic calls a Catalyst the catalytic converter?). If so do I absolutely need one?

Do the seat/upholstery.
Leave the Entertainment the way it is o make you no open plenty threads for Nairaland ontop electrical matters.
Forget about the catalyst. I think Heavenlybang did a cat delete on his G35 and he didn’t notice any difference in petrol consumption or performance.

Apparently it's been about a year since the thread was created.

So far, I've documented all my maintenance.
Essentially comes down to control arms, linkages, one bad shock, and a kick starter. My alternator is also going out as well. I've put about 8k miles on the car since it was purchased. Roughly 1k km monthly.

It's never stranded me, apart from one time I bought fuel that was mixed with water and the car died about 500m from the station. Had to empty the tank and service the entire fuel system, injectors, and plugs.

So far, it's been a good experience. I hope to keep it for about 15 more months, then maybe look at a Porsche or a newer Merc.
