Any apologies for saying things just the way they are? No. Not with the recent madness that pervade Nairaland. Can these be responsible human beings? No. No man sleeps in the gutter to stress his humility.
BusinessRe: Nigeria Still Ranks 4th Globally On Return On Investment Ratings by philips70(m):
For the past 2 months this man has been going everywhere lying to all that care to listen. This same man tricked reporters the other day Nigeria exports $10b worth of Cocoa a year when its actually a global figure. This same man told the whole nation all the roads in SE have been fixed remaining very few kilometers. The only reasons I can sum up for trying to beat Iweala's record as liar-in-state is he's eyeing her position as the coordinating minister of the economy when they come back next year. Fourth on ROI when all we deliver are very poor quality products and poor service delivery just to maximize these returns. What kind of a lying government is this for Christ sake?

Good one coming from the latest TAN patron. But how did the Ndigbos got this scammed and what exactly is GEJ using on them? Is it not better they remain neutral than go everywhere singing praises of a supposed adopted son who has so disappointed and scammed them?

Pity, Nairaland has now become a platform where semi illiterate paid teens advertise their ignorance. And you think Microsoft, Apple, Google, et al, has just one data centre, all in one location in one country with a big sign "data centre" on the building?
Honestly if you are privileged to see these people live you will so regret why you waste your time and energy to really engage them on Nairaland. Most are still sucklings while the matured ones are never-do-wells looking so haggard like motor park touts. You will be so ashamed of yourself.

It won't. It makes mockery of what some of them stand for in this matter. A certain mod has almost ran unclad on this Ekiti issue.

You earn respect by saying things how they are without sentiments on clear issues like this. If you truly support the 7 against 19 mode of impeachment in Ekiti State, then you've thrown away all your ethics to political sentiments and bigotry.
Chukwudi44 has no ethics as far as sane issues of this nature are concerned. These are people who have thrown all forms of decorum and sanity to the wind for mundane reasons. Illegality is like a tree planted on quicksand, it will soon be swept away with the wind. It has happened severally in this dispensation. Fayose himself knows he will not do a full term. I can bet my last kobo.

And for you Chukwudi44 am not front page crazy, as long as people are fed with the right and sane information from any dashboard am ok. I have very serious things to do than creating threads with motives of making front page.

my point is when you combine Lagos IGR with its FG allocation money available to lagos state beats other states hands down.
I get your point but still want to let you know it might still not be up to Akwa Ibom's monthly revenue from IGR which is minimal and federal allocations.

Honestly I wonder how these guys that support the charade in Ekiti, the Police overzealousness and lawlessness in the National Assembly look into their children's face and tell them to stop lying when they do. All because of party and a single individual who will finish his tenure(s) and Nigeria will keep existing.

Ngwakwe, OAM4J, maclatunji, this thread deserves to be exposed to all that should know. Only illegality must not be promoted as our way of life on the front page. This is not just about APC or PDP.

Just so thrilled its a speaker of a staunch PDP state that released the statement and good reason is winning over partisanship once in a very long time. There's still some glimmer of hope for our hard earned democracy.
PoliticsSpeakers Reject Olugbemi As Speaker Of Ekiti State House Of Assembly by philips70(op): 10:30pm On Nov 22, 2014
Happy some people still have honour in government circles. Nairaland e-warriors over to you.

Speakers of 35 states' houses of assembly ‎on Saturday in Abuja
said that they would not recognise Hon. Dele Olugbemi as the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly.

They spoke under the auspices of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures (CSSL), a forum which encompasses all the speakers of the 36 states of the federation.

The CSSL's chairman and also Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Sam Ikon, stated this in Abuja while addressing journalists at an interactive session of Civil Society Organizations and Speakers of State Houses of Assembly on "Constitution Amendment Bills awaiting passage" organized by the Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC).

Ikon said that the group still recognised Dr. Adewale Omirin as the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly because the mode of his impeachment was illegal and unconstitutional.

Money Available to state = FG Allocation + Internally generated revenue IGR
On this regards Lagos has the most money as its Internally generated revenue is greater than FG allocations of most states, the Rivers State Second.
I do not really consider Lagos when I make summations of this nature. It is a different thing altogether when you want to judge Lagos at par with other states. Lagos is like a country to me with a population almost same with Ghana and with much more responsibility like big cities like Beijing, Johannesburg, Dubai and Doha. But in terms of money available to states, Akwa Ibom got approx N31b from the fed account alone June last year while Lagos generates about N20b in internal revenue. So you see there's kind of balance in this wise. Yet I salute Akpabio for his giant developmental strides. We need more people like him.
PoliticsRe: Uyo - City Of Peace And Beauty (Pictures) by philips70(m): 8:08pm On Nov 22, 2014
To me Akpabio remains the best performing governor in Nigeria whether he receives the biggest allocations or not. If he embezzles all nothing anyone will still do.

MudRaker:
Section 68(g) 1 is clear on this.

On mimiko and other governors including Amaechi and co, the constitution is silent about governors defecting.

The law only applies to legislators.
Even bricklayers will quote and interpret the constitution in this Tambuwal matter. But when asked about Ekiti house of Assembly they will simply say they are bricklayers so they don't understand the constitution.

Section 68 subsection 1(g) says A member of the Senate or of the House of representatives shall vacate his seat in the House of which he is a member if -

being a person whose election to the House was sponsored by a political party, he becomes a member of another political party before the expiration of the period for which that House was elected;

Provided that his membership of the latter political party is not as a result of a division in the political party of which he was previously a member or of a merger of two or more political parties or factions by one of which he was previously sponsored..

The Presidency and the police have resorted to self help as it is obvious they are supposed to go to court to compel the Speaker to vacate the seat and the house if he refuses to obey the shall vacate in the provision. Who told them the Speaker do not have a valid reason for jettisoning their party for the other? If the police suspect anyone of violating a provision of the law be it an armed robber they don't pass judgement but must take that suspected criminal to the courts who have the sole right to pronounce guilt. This is just Executive lawlessness and history will not forgive them for it.

So you think. Go check your kids DNA. Your wife must have adopted them on your behalf. She will surely not allow you sire her kids so as not to breed a generation of mentally deranged family. Your thought process is surely not a normal and healthy one. Your parents must surely regret the day they slept you out.

Pls do not join these names together. Asari, Tompolo, Boyload...fought for their rights.

What is Shekau's mission? Who is he fighting for?
Ok, they fought for their rights with empowering themselves to becoming the richest people from their area in the midst of ravaging poverty among their people? By building universities in foreign lands, buying and flying private jets while the people they fought for hardly get potable water to drink? Have you ever been to the creeks surrounding where Tompolo lives and see the people they fought for living in terrible subhuman conditions whilst he sits upon a multibillion naira empire over the years? Tell me another story. The only difference between these two people is what their personal interest is, but none is clearly aimed at empowering the people.

Tambuwal have just been prevented by heavily armed military men from entering the Assembly Complex. Camporoe/OBJ/Mugabe is a learner where GEJ is. Meanwhile he is celebrating his birthday in Aso Rock. He must have called Minimah and instruct him not to allow that small boy inside that building.

There's no smoke without fire. I used to be one of these of the opinion that there's a propaganda against Buhari but I realised that Buhari is not the only northerner in nigeria's politics, neither is he the only muslim, so I wonder how this tag of a religious bigot got stuck to him and him alone. Think again my man, there's no smoke without fire.
The only fire in it is very open to open minded people to see. The forces of establishment and corruption will die than to see Buhari come to power. Most are even in the north. If you check very well the ruling class in the north are always against him. Just that the talakawas are greatly more than them. This is not rocket science.
