CNN just can't help them advertise lies like GEJ making Nigerian economy the largest in Africa. Not even after the mobbing and debasing of Isha Sesay from the offices of Okupe and Omokri for attempting to tell them the truth. There's what we call integrity outside the shores of this country. |
Ogbeche77:Can the TAN agents here on Nairaland honestly explain in clear terms how Jonathan made our economy the largest in Africa other than the rebasing that was done? I can vividly see that in the newspapers captions. How did we really get to this level? |
Meet General Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Commander-in-chief of Aso Rock, NNPC and CBN.
|
Even if you go and place a post of Jonathan till 2019 in Lawrence Nomayagbon Anini's grave today GEJ will pardon him posthumously. This man so much love corruption not only in body language but in deeds. In short he abhors decent people. |
Acidosis:I can bring several links here where this same Saharareporters made damning reports against Tinubu and his dynasty. When they reported against Turai and the cabals during the trying times of GEJ when he was almost locked up in Aso Rock none of you called them Shariareporters. When they were a thorn in the flesh OBJ and his botched third term agenda you didn't fault them. Why now? |
honeric01:I decided to confirm my fears this evening and they didn't disappoint the pundits. It's a shame. Just hope Nairaland will not come to this level soonest. It's not impossible another forum competes and takes away traffic just like Channels did AIT since they went with government. |
In another news, I committed the last one hour to watching AIT and I almost thought they have merged with NTA. Gosh! Was this the station I used to stay glued watching Gbenga Aruleba taking the government of the day to shreds? |
Nigeria is in big trouble. Even the die-hard critics of Fashola like the many PDP supporters here know in their minds he is a visionary and developmental minded person. Then what is wrong with us as a people that we can't just get it right even with our good intentions? Each time am in Lagos and I see most of these dilapidated roads I just wonder. Nigerians are not swayed by gigantic elephant projects. Just give them good roads, provide them electricity and good pipe-borne water and you are good to go. It takes critical analytical minds to appreciate whatever Fashola is doing in Lagos state. But in terms of providing basic infrastructures he has failed the masses who voted him IMO. This is not to say I buy into the school of thought he embezzled all these funds meant for development or encourages corruption. |
Mortiano:Here, I present to you a living evidence of government failures over the years. It can't be worse than this. God help you since no one, hand-out from Reno/TAN and common sense can't. |
Billyonaire:OK |
imanuel5959:Make use of your God-given brain and not the warped one you currently adopted to find that answer yourself. I have done my job, proove me wrong. |
Billyonaire:Sure, that will fly you straight to hell. I know you are in a hurry to get there. |
oduastates:TRANSFORMATION AGENDA OF NIGERIAN CRIMINALS. I still find it very funny to see poor and depraved Nigerians campaign for these people. Elsewhere these people would have attained pariah status. |
Pictured below is a hound of private jets of guests of a PDP chieftain's kid wedding in Benin over the weekend. God help us. Before this government leaves Nigeria would have been officially declared bankrupt. FRESH AIR ! FRESH JETS!! PDP TILL NIGERIANS GET SENSE!!!
|
I guess Akpabio is not so pleased with Iyanya's 6 packs opening games. Covering up pays surely. |
Governor Akpabio surely has raised the bar. He is an asset to the PDP, Akwa Ibom and Nigeria in general. I don't care about any of his sins at the moment. We need more leaders who can do what he has done in terms of infrastructural developments. Thumbs up. I envy Ibomites this moment. |
Seun, it's high time you started ban on device IPs instead of monikers. Especially these guys that find pleasure in insulting people's parents and that guy up there that left a very long slide on a single post. Too many kindergarten on here recently.. |
Reno Omokri, Reuben Abati and Doyin Okugbe are seriously working. Their meal ticket must not leave come 2015. I only pity the many jobless Nigerians even when working is not a guarantee of good living nowadays. Support whoever you want to, we all have ourselves to blame for our actions tomorrow. Nothing lasts forever. |
donnypool:How does that change the color of my message? Just to satisfy you, have been in Kaduna for the past 10 days. Has that changed the theme of my message to you? |
If any of you watched the scorecard of GEJ that has been airing, the minister of works Mr Onolememen showcased very nice expressways completed by this present government. 90% of them are in the North. The only one in the East is Onitsha-Owerri. Yet, the Igbos say GEJ till they pass away. I wonder when they will ever say Obi/Emeka/Nnamdi till the world come to an end. They never even did this for the Ikemba. |
menabadoo:The longest serving Nigerian leader ever is a Christian, the person of General Yakubu Gowon. He was given all the support needed to succeed by the Muslims in the North then whether in the military or outside. He ruled for 9 years. All these religious and ethnic cards are bullshit only bandied by incompetent leaders to hide their failures. I wonder where all these recent agents of religious and ethnic jingoism where when Aremu ruled for 8 years. In 1983 the whole country voted massively for MKO Abiola if not for the ambition and greediness of a few that scuttled it. Where was the North born to rule mentality they keep using to taunt the Northerners today? They have overused it. Only that illiteracy and naivety will not allow it work against them. Ignorance is disease worse than Ebola and AIDS put together. |
Seun:Thank you very much Seun. I am neither APC nor PDP, I just want this country governed by less crooks so we can get back on track. We need change, we have been deceived for too long. |
mekula:Nigeria to earn $1.3 billion from cocoa exports this year October 28, 2014 | Filed under: main story | Author: Editor 6 ivoarian-cocoaThe federal government expects to earn $1.3 billion from cocoa exports this year, an increase of 45 percent on two years ago, after a steady rise in output that could help shift Africa’s top economy away from its reliance on oil. Agriculture minister, Akinwumi Adesina, who spoke on the sidelines of a cocoa summit in Nigeria’s capital Abuja late on Monday, said the world’s fourth biggest cocoa producer was set produce 370,000 tonnes this year from its 14 major producing areas, up from the 250,000 tonnes that earned it $900 million in 2012. http://businessdayonline.com/2014/10/nigeria-to-earn-1-3-billion-from-cocoa-exports-this-year/#.VFjVF_TF_R0 Reuters Nothing survives on falsehood. Only a matter of time. |
Seun:Please read the OP very well, you will find out in the later part this amount is the total global figure and not just for Nigeria alone. I made a comment on that thread concerning it. Threads might look interesting but mods should read them very well before moving them to frontpage. Apart from driving traffic we are suppose to be educating people including foreigners on this forum. It is turning to something else |
Interestingly, all the youths caught that really messed up their position of governance were always of the PDP ably aided by the criminal old men in their midst, as exposed by their own controlled EFCC. This is to show the PDP is not tired of raping this country. If I may ask which age bracket is involved in yahoo yahoo and all the fraud happening in the banking industry? Is it rocket science to know that the greatest fraudsters we have today are bank executives and these are made up of the younger generation? The problems we are having today have nothing to do with age and even need experienced men of character to resolve. It's really complicated. PDP should just tell Nigerians what they intend to do differently or continue to do to put us back on track and leave these divisive stories of age, religion and ethnicity. It's becoming stale and shows too much unseriousness on their part. |
Seun:I see, you are happy to ridicule any party even with falsehoods like the frontpage thread that says Nigeria currently exports $10b worth of cocoa yearly? What is true about that obvious contraption? I thank God you used "our" because we all know where your personal loyalty lies. |
[s]Olusegun Aganga, the minister of industry, trade and investment, has disclosed that the total value of exporting raw cocoa from Nigeria is approximately $10 billion a year. He reiterated the commitment of the country to expand the commodity’s production for additional foreign earnings. Aganga, who said this at the just concluded cocoa summit 2014 in Abuja, noted that with the planned repositioning efforts of the present administration, the country would extract immense value out of the cocoa industry. According to him, the Federal Government would not relent in the implementation of expansion projects for cocoa processing and manufacturing in the country to claim a greater share of the annual $200 billion global market for finished goods made from cocoa. “The total global value of exporting raw cocoa is approximately $10 billion a year; the total value from chocolates alone, all made from cocoa, is over $100 billion a year, while the total value of all finished goods made from cocoa is estimated to be as high as $200 billion a year, all drawing from the same $10 billion raw cocoa beans produced. “With the situation today, about 76 percent of total cocoa produced is from Africa, but less than five percent of the wealth in the value chain is retained here. After many decades of dominating cocoa production, it is worrying that we still remain price takers, and capture so little value. This is not right, and this is what we have set out to change”, he said. Aganga said with the expansion of cocoa processing and manufacturing capacity, government was set to retain more of the value of the cocoa industry in Nigeria, create jobs and wealth for citizens and generate income for government.[/s] And these are the type of people TAN parades on Nairaland. They come here to deceive gullible Nigerians daily about some invisible achievements of a lying government. Atlwireless and his co-travellers are just shameless people. And to think that a MOD brought this to front page without seeing the contradiction in information is really really absurd and shows Nairaland to be very unserious. How much is Nigeria's 2014 budget? These are the kind of lies they have been governing us with for the past 5 years. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is their chief liar-in-state. All for 2015. If Nigeria even have all non-oil export of $10b yearly Asari Dokubo and Tompolo would not be in existence by now. Either they be dead or locked far away where they will not have the audacity to threaten a sitting president the way Asari does every media house he goes. This post is a shame to atlwireless, shame to the MOD who brought it to front page, shame to seun, owner of Nairaland and shame to us all if we do not resist it. |
drnoel:Out of where? Are you sure you are in this country at all? Thank God we still have some God fearing members of the bench who still believe stealing and collection of bribes are corruption and will not collect money to subvert the law. In any case find time to be watching your TV where you can get reliable information and not rely only on Nairaland which is filled with liars and political conmen. |
Ngwakwe:Do we really operate outside a country's constitution? Pray, show me the section of the book that says the speaker must come from the majority party. Or does precedence now supersedes the constitution? Even in precedence do you know which party Edwin Ume-Ezeoke represented when he was the speaker of the house in 1979? What you guys who support the PDP should insist on is the speedy dispense of justice on the court case concerning decamping and retention of seats currently being perpetrated across party lines. Until then Tambuwal remain the only speaker of the HOR we have. Any illegality will be strongly resisted by credible Nigerians and the bench. Talking about morality, I want you to show me your moral advise to Mimiko of Ondo state. |
Boss13:Even CNN, BBC, CHANNELS, AL JAZEERA, AIT, LAI, etc couldn't have put it better. Nigeria cannot survive another 4 years of this ineptitude. |
Firefire:This PDP government sure needs to be ousted come 2015. The level of illiteracy on display in our cyberspace is enough reason to do this after 16 years of piloting affairs in this once great nation of ours. I bet most of these persons are graduates or at least undergraduates. |
