I actually expected Jonathan to use that appointment as a parting gift to the Niger Deltans he so marginalized so the appointee can help revitalize the dying ports in Warri, Portharcourt and Calabar. But no, he still didn't do it but chose to give it to one of the people Asari love to call the Gambaris all still for political reasons. Who are we fooling?

What I see is someone who has been among them, made money from the system and found himself going to the senate. Now he feels he have enough and doesn't need more so what can he do? As a satisfied man he feels he can contribute to the change we all have been chanting in these manner. What do we do? Echo him and urge him on because these are the kind of voices we need in politics. After all only less than a percentage of people in politics in Nigeria are saints. Yes, we all must echo and urge him on. After all Dino Melaye benefitted from the rot and later converted into a modern day saviour of the masses and many of us believe in him. We need all the voices we can get including those of sinners!

As stupid as the trekking madness is I just wonder why people can't reason well before asking this over asked question that have an obvious answer. Can't they charge their phones in the many communities they meet or you think they don't rest in shops, hotels and people's homes? Maybe you guys asking this question believe they don't even sleep anywhere at all and are walking only in bush paths. Why don't you guys just add how the hell they are eating food?

you must know that the 45% means their equity stake as well, saying operator makes it cumbersome, the JV agreement will have to change from NNPC/SPDC to NNPC/NPDC, now, in most JV agreements, the IOC's are the operators so I dont expect this JV to be different, guess that is why NPDC became the operator.

NPDC should be ashamed of themselves that after 27yrs of operations, they can only boast of a paltry 130,000bopd (a figure I doubt seriously) but let me take PENGASSEN's word for it, afterall, by the end of 2013, it was a mere 90,000bopd.
while I would want to hold NPDC by the jugular, with madueke transferring their assets to cronies and probably using their funds to fly private jets, I am still not in the right frame of mind to heap the blame on NPDC but madueke.

But I understand completely what Jonathan and Madueke are doing in the industry, indigenisation policy will bring the likes of NECONDE on board, pipeline sabotage by his militia will scare away the operators, NPDC by default is supposed to inherit the assets, starve them of funds and bring the likes of NECONDE to take over after declaring NPDC insolvent and incompetent, with NPDC down, assets are transferred to the likes of NECONDE, bingo!! the president is in control of not only producing oil blocks but oil and gas assets as well.
NPDC down, refineries are moribund and another flood gates of chopping opens with subsidy, PIB was the grand plan to consolidate this malady, damn!! Jonathan was not clueless after all.
Why did it take me so long to figure this out?

They are still stuck in the diversion of subsidy removal and addition, lol, Jonathan the sharpico guy man

Neconde actually acquired the 45% stake from the former operators (Shell and co) but NPDC as government representatives now turned the new operators because obviously Neconde do not have the technical know how and maybe other logistics to operate it. According to that Punch article, NPDC now in turn brought in other Nigerian middlemen who do not even have the funds to operate it and be making some millions of $ in shady manners. In my opinion even if GEJ will go scot free of all these, the frog eye woman must vomit enough and cool off in gaol for some years. Let's see if the Nairaland warriors will help her to escape the doom that awaits her.

To persecute someone is to treat them unfairly or in an oppressive way over a period of time because of their race, religion or political beliefs.

“Jews were persecuted in Nazi Germany during the 1930s.”

To prosecute someone is to press criminal charges against someone in a court of law.

“Illegal file sharers will be prosecuted under new Government plans.”

GEJ knew and meant exactly what he said but in the true sense he wants Nigerians to see GMB genuine probe and prosecution of his ministers as persecution. That's treacherous and preposterous.

Don't waste your energy on these pro-GEJ folks. They see nothing wrong with whatever his government does even if it directly impoverishes them. I just read it and it's no news. Diezani has sold off almost all NPDC assets to cronies at give away prices. Neconde is currently working on Odidi flow station and accompanying assets which she also sold to them.

Honestly, what's the gain from FTC that lots take it so personal like this? Now to topic, mere N288b and Diezani and GEJ just couldn't do this to at least augment for imports and some inwis will come here to shout hero and Nobel. This is less than $1.5b knowing how much these criminals have stolen from our vaults in 4 years. Thunder fire anybody that says GMB should not PERSECUTE GEJ and his ministers.
