The South West should prepare itself for the hordes of bandits that will be visiting it soon. They already have sleeper cells in oyo, osun, ogun, and Lagos.
When the time is right, they will be activated. Yorubas are tolerant to their own detriment. undecided
The solution is simole. If bandits try their nonsense then we yoruba will split from nigeria and declare odiduwa Republic. Its easy. We yoruba are the ones keeping nigeria together. Igbo have wanted to go since 1967. If yoruba wants to leave, igbo will join immediately and nigeria will come to an end. So let them do whatever. It will simply lead to thr dissolution of nigeria.

Bad idea. We cant afford to give them the psychological edge early in the game. We cant gift them momentum edge by sitting back and allowing them come at us early. 'Wouldn't want to put an underperforming Nwabali and a suspect Ekong under early pressure. They need to grow into the game and settle psychologically.

We can only do this at selected phases in the game later on, hopefully and preferably after we have taken the lead.

Then of course, Rohr knows our quality. If Rohr's Benin tries to play consistently on the front foot, the Nigerian attack will catch them on the break and tear them apart phase after phase and we will score loads of goals. He knows this so he will be cautious.

We have to hit them early and hard. Create choas in their box early and destabilize them mentally. Shake their psychological depth early by hitting them with intensity early, overloading their box, attacking that final third and also keep a solid Rest defence (Ekong, Bassey, Benjamin) behind to mop up any cleared ball by their backline from our incessant attacks.
Then recycle and repeat.

No breathing space.
it is simpley illogical and downright stupid for chelle not to invite chidozie awaziem (who plays regularly in france) for our central defensive position when ekong is injured and semi ajayi is just coming back from injury. If i was in charge of NFF i will tell him to write a report on every tactical decision he makes including player selection. He has to state reasons for his decisions. It sounds far fetched but our coaches need to be monitored concerning the decisions they make. They can be downright stupid sometimes.

Ekong scored he dey celebrate like say he win Champions league, see as Osimhen carry ball for quick restart. Mentally they are weak, most of them aren’t winners
They need to hire a psychologist for this team to work on their weak mentality.
Imagine if we faced Moroco in the nations cup semi finals and we conceeded 2 goals in the first half.
Most of the players will just give up and think we lost. The team seems not to believe in itself in any manner.

In addition we have a coach who is simply ignorant of tactics and the capability of his players.
It is a horrible mixture.

When will we realize this 4-4-2 does not work for us. We are far too imbalanced in the midfield. We don’t get the best out of our players. Ndidi and Iwobi will be overrun.

Moreover, Iwobi is not a CM in a flat midfield 4. He should be playing the 10 if he’s in our XI.

The personnel selection is very poor
Chelle should be sacked now. He is a horrible coach

The reason is that Iwobi isn't a cm or dm. Ndidi is as you said box to box. That combination can never work in controlling a midfield. What amazes me is we have tried this over 5 years and under different coaches and no one in the technical committee has ever thought to themselves that this doesn't work. I wonder that the technical committee members do sef
His using ekong in a 4 man defence is baffling and horrible. He used him against South africa and he conceded a goal. Now he is making the same mistake. Why awaziem was not invited is a mystery. Chelle should be sacked immediately after this match even if we win. I don't care anymore. We have horrible catches

If he is still around, he should simply use them in the next friendlies. Let them play for 90 minutes and see what they can do. We should use our friendlies for things like this. Some of those players might perform better than their senior brothers who play nonsense and flatter to deceive.

keep hope alive. Nigeria 🇳🇬 can still qualify for the World Cup , even if I don’t have a lot of confidence in the squad but divine intervention may favor Nigeria who knows
What we should really pray for is that God will give Chelle wisdom knowledge and understanding
so that he will know how to use the players.
From what i read on owngoalnigeria (if they are right) chelle is planning
to use 4 4 2 (flat version ) with iwobi and ndidi in midfield
and moses simon on the right wing.
Even semi ajayi is not really fit and just recovered form injury with only 8 minutes of football and so he is not sure he
is fit. Chidozie awaziem should be in the team.
His team selection and tactics are even foolish (i dont mean to sound insulting).
Solomon asked for wisdom and chelle should also ask God for wisdom.
Most of our opponents are simply more intelligent than us and can see our weakness from afar yet our coaches repeat it EVERYTIME.
I believe chelle will change his mind and come up with a better formation and player selection between now and the next match. I pray God will give him wisdom like he did Solomon

Most people had farms in the past. Yoruba women were traders and often the wealthiest people in the land were women. Efunsetan Aniwura of Ibadan comes to mind as well as Madam Tinubu of Lagos. Men were leaders, soldiers, crafts men and sometimes long distance traders etc but there were often more money women than men in Yoruba land. Only that it is unlikely you would be richer than the king sitting atop taxes and most monarchs were men
Please help me tell them.
The idea of women not working is a product of victorian England. Victorian England colonized us and we decided to
copy this western idea. Later on, when the western world advanced and started allowing their women to work
we want to copy the idea again and allow women to work. In the first place our yoruba forefathers allowed women to work.
The attitude of copying the western world everytime and abandoning our culture is a problem. Now the white man wants us to accept homosexualism and beastiality while he says polygamy is not good

I hope shame continues to catch the NFF board. angry angry angry angry angry angry See what Morocco in the span of 10 years are doing. I won't be surprised if they win a world cup soon. Nigeria OTOH still asking players for bribes and using overaged players. What is Bamayi still doing in an U20 World cup? Morocco is doing well in all levels of Football while Nigeria is wombling and fumbling. Ibraim Gausau, Ibrahim Sanusi and Austin Eguaveon need to resign immediately if we are going to get out this present slump we are in now.
We can easily surpass morocco. We have the basic. Football academies produce players at a fast rate. We just need.
1. Good coaches with food tactics.
2. Stop selecting okayers based on bribery and man know man.
I suspect this u20 was selected partly based on bribery. Like 30% were based on bribery. Even at that there is a 16 year old kamaldeen wanted by Chelsea and who is touted as the next okocha in this u20 team. I hope our coaches will start him. I'm not joking the boy is wanted by Chelsea and some Belgium clubs. The funny thing is whoever is our coach might not start him in our next match.
3. Also our coaches in the Super Eagles should encourage young players into the team. Players like ebenezer akinsanmiri, even the 16 year old kamaldeen. Just anyone who shows some stuff. We can at least try them out in friendlies. That's all. The academies are doing fine job. There is also one winger called elijah odede in troyes in French division 2. Chelle our super eagles coach needs to be proactive

The Search for Naija's next big thing in the CAM role

The search for Creative and Ball carrying/ball retaining midfield talents is the reason for calls to see Christantus Uche start centrally for Nigeria, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro called up and Raphael Onyedika finally given his well earned run of games as our #1 CDM.

But as we hope for Chelle to take the right steps especially with respect to calls for Akinsanmiro to be blooded in, I must say that my fear for any other emerging Creative midfield talent is the likelihood of them going into Obscurity like Kelechi Nwakali.

At the 2023 Wafu B U17 tournament which we won, Ugbade gave us not 1 but 2 bonafide CAM Talents.

- Ebube Okere
- Ozor Victor Okeke

Today, Ebube Okere is nowhere to be found
Last I heard of him, he featured for Mavbrooks in the 2024 Lagos Liga in December.

Ozor Victor Okeke secured a move to Europe in August 2024 to IF Elfsborg. But since then he has been stuck in Elfsborg U19. He is 19 now. Nothing from the lad as at this point and I hope it changes.

Now today again in 2025, we have another one. David Edeh, Captain of the current Golden Eaglets. Obviously very talented CAM. FK specialist too. Let us hope he doesnt find his way into Obscurity too.

Our scarcity of midfielders of the Creative Profile at the senior level is worrying.
Ifeoluwa porous you know him
There is one mubarak suleiman who joined spartan prague less than a month ago and is in their European youth team.
Also ibrahim alani in Spain.
I am baffled. Why have some of them being invited for this u20 world cup
More will show up perhaps next year.

That penalty goal really set us up for a hard match against this Norwegian wall especially knowing that we dont have the quality in the middle to break them down heads on. Na manage we dey manage Ayuma and co in the middle. Daga not at his best today too. Arriving late doing him no good.

Aliyu really shot himself in the foot today shaa. We look so disjointed. Sani did not start. Brought him in only after we reàlised the error. We were a little better at the U20 Afcon. This first game is an eye sore. Would need a big turnaround in the second game to right the wrong.

VAR decision too not going our way. Omo. Just a really bad day.
Due to one reason or the other i dont think we selected our best players. not happening , Afcon is around the corner
Make I talk. Sodiq ismail if he plays is better as a winger. The coach who made him to play defence is limiting his potential. The issue is that if he plays for us our coaches will put him as a right back and blame him for conceding goals. In the match he okayes for us anytime he went forward he made an impact. The issue with him is that as a winger he keeps it short and simple (kiss). His accurate crosses is more valuable than dribling 100 times. Just 3 accurate crosses and you have a goal or two. This is his strength as a winger. I am talking from a coaching or tactical point of view and not about where he played or anything else. This is just a logical observation

Ebenezer akinsanmiro in ousa fc Italy.
Onuche ogbelu in esperance of Tunisia.
Chrisantus uche in crystal palace.
There is still more to come. The injured midfielders might not even affect us if we looked more closely

Anyway i wonder how a midfield of Daniel Daga and Frank Onyeka will be with an attacking midfielder in front of them (iwobi, akinsanmiro). It will be like the great wall of China.
Two workaholics nothing can go through and will be able to shut down anything and arrest any opposing midfield. The AM in front of them can then be free to attend to attacking duties. Daniel Daga can also contribute in attack sometimes.

You are thinking. I dont say this with hate but with utmost respect for Simon.

Simon currently will best serve us as an impact player off the bench. Trust me, it is just about that time. No sentiments here if we must break this limitation we have forced onto ourselves..
His place on the left can be taken by Iwobi. Thing is Iwobi can also orchestrate this way on the right. Simon must go to the bench. Coz Lookman is also there.
Maybe it is a cultural, social and psychological problem.
Basically, humans learn by social and cultural conditioning and when this conditioning is wrong, human find it difficult to change, adopt better practices or try better alternatives of forms of knowledge.
The issue is we have a pattern (4 4 2 or 4 2 4) or its variants handed down culturally and socially from the okocha era. We want to follow this pattern without considering if the players we have fit into this culturally and socially inherited pattern. We might be playing iwobi as a deep lying midfielder who can operate in even a 2 man midfield because he is okochas family member and so he has to play like okocha. Its similar to other positions. Until recently, our coaches will not try other alternatives apart from a 2 man midfield. We often hold on to the past and experienced players without thinking of their current form. Its taking chelle loosing points to see the limitations in Ekongs game. The best thing is to look at our players as they are not as their cultural forefathers are (ikpeba, siasia, okocha etc). We may need a younger generation of coaches and players to deactivate ourselves from our cultural and social conditioning. This is why younger players and coaches may work because they simply come with their own skills and patterns. they wont start trying to play like kanu, okocha etc. They will just be themselves.
I mean, it took a new generation for humans to agree that planes could fly (the wright brothers). This is why i think chelle can succeed as he is a relatively young man and he will not be bound by a certain cultural conditioning.

Felix Agu: Super Eagles RB conundrum

I think there is an option 5 on our Super Eagles Rightback issues with Aina sidelined.

Felix Agu is predominantly right footed even though strongly ambipedal and have featured at RB several times for Werder Bremen, Osnabruck and even the German U21s back then in friendlies.
His composure, game intelligence, experience in the role and natural right foot in sync with his two-footedness makes him a likely candidate.

He could be our answer for the October games as RB.

Zaidu and Bruno are strong on the left like Agu so perhaps it would serve us well to shift Agu to the right temporarily while Zaidu and Bruno battle for the left come October.
It is the players we may not rate that will get results for us. Players like ebenezer akinsanmiro, sodiq awjola who has won an African champions league, a guy in vremonese I have forgotten his name, aieu the defender in Austria, onuche ogbelu of esperance. Chelle should learn to believe in these dark horses. They will be ready to die forbhim
