Why Southeast is the least developed is because we lack basic infrastructure more than others and we generate less income than other regions. I believe it is a systemic marginalization but was balanced out by mass outward migration. Compare Aba and Owerri

Nigeria has a higher GDP than South Africa and Egypt yet less developed. Bayelsa has a high GDP due to oil yet less developed.

If you want to mention development, use Human development Index (HDI) not GDP then you will see where Anambra stand.

GDP is not development. Nigeria is top 35 highest GDP in the world yet ranks above 100 in development. GDP is not development, if you must use GDP then use per capita GDP.
