Thats why Yorubas are different from you

Yorubas have mastered the act of playing the opposition from 1st, 2nd republic

Unlike Ibos who are mainly AGIP. I heard Orji Kalu family are decamping
Talking about defection or political prostitution Fani-Kayode, Mimiko, Obasanjo etc comes to mind.

If you can call the pitiable political position of Ndi'igbo "political resurgence", then you are in great denial. I was expecting more than that from you.
Yeah, Yoruba people was in such pitiable political position for 4 years without even a deputy speaker position, yet they didn't suffocate politically, instead, they worked for their survival which they're celebrating today. What Igbos need to do now is to vote PDP massively in governorship elections which will give them the leadership and domineering role in PDP, a giant step to the promise land .

Politics 101: You play for the end result. As it stands now, you people have gained the least from the outcome of the March 28 elections, which means your strategies were ineffective and essentially useless. Listen to the OP's vioce of reason.
The Op's reasons made no sense at all. In time past, it was Igbos don't cooperate, now we have done the right thing, our detractors coming again with basket nonsense.
It seems some people are uncomfortable with Igbo political resurgence.
PoliticsRe: Eziachi: Ndigbo & Lagos- Asset Vs Liability by PhockPhockMan: 1:09pm On Apr 08, 2015
Op, you misfired. How do you expect a people to hide their preference?
Did Yorubas and Hausas hide their love for APC and Buhari? That Jonathan lost the presidential election does not make our support for him a foolish adventure. First, you reminded us the ugly deportation saga, yet you frown at Igbos decision to pay them back.
This is democracy, Igbos must take advantage of it for their betterment. No matter the outcome of the elections, no government in lagos will take Igbos for a ride.

PoliticsPdp’ll Resist Plot To Remove Rivers REC’ by PhockPhockMan(op): 4:23am On Apr 06, 2015
THE Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has vowed to resist an alleged plot by the Independent National Electoral Commission in connivance with the All Progressives Congress to remove the State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mrs. Gesila Khan.

The state PDP specifically accused the state Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, of planning to bribe INEC Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega, to remove Khan and replace her with a card-carrying member of the APC.

The State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Samuel Nwanosike, who spoke with The PUNCH in a telephone interview on Saturday, cautioned Jega to stay away from Rivers and allow the state REC to be.

It will be recalled that the PDP polled 1,487,075 votes while the APC got 69,238 votes, an election result that the APC in the state had continued to describe as unrealistic.

But Nwanosike explained that the outcome of the Presidential and National Assembly elections was the wish of the people of the state, adding that the state REC had done nothing to merit the alleged plot to remove her.

He added that the governor was planning to influence the appointment of some APC members in the state as INEC ad hoc employees with a view to rigging the election in favour of the ruling party in the state.

“Jega should stay away from Rivers. We (PDP) are aware of the plan to change the Rivers State REC. As I speak to you, Governor Amaechi has paid Jega so that the APC can manipulate the governorship election in the state.

“The plan is to remove the Rivers State REC and bring in a card-carrying member of the APC to replace her. We will resist any move to remove Gesila Khan. Rivers people will resist plan to remove her,” Nwanosike stressed.

However, the APC described the allegation against Amaechi and INEC as laughable, explaining that it was not in the character of Amaechi to bribe anybody to achieve a legitimate objective.

The State Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mr. Chris Finebone, told The PUNCH that Jega remained an impeccable character that would never be bribed by anybody.

Finebone described the call for the removal of the state REC as legitimate and recalled that the state APC had raised the alarm in the past that Khan had compromised on her duty to conduct a free and fair election in Rivers State.

“All these allegations against Amaechi and INEC are laughable and false. Nobody needs to bribe Jega or INEC before the state REC, who has obviously compromised, is removed. We raised the alarm before the election that the woman was partial, but nobody listened to us.

“On the allegation that Amaechi is planning to bribe Jega, the PDP in the state should know that it takes two persons for a bribe to take place, and the two persons mentioned are not interested in anything called bribe.

“So, you will agree with me that the story of bribe is an afterthought which must be disregarded by Rivers people and Nigerians. We (APC) have said that the current REC iin Rivers must leave and we are maintaining that,” Finebone added.

Guy those guys have successfully and unjustly projected Rivers state as the home of rigging to the rest of Nigeria all because Amaechi couldn't swallow the shame of not being able to deliver even 25% for his master as campaign DG and governor. He put up that drama to make it look like he could have delivered if things were free and fair.
It is very sad because I voted in Rivers on that day and people were overwhelmingly in support of Jonathan. All the votes were counted right there at the polling units.
Don't mind Amaechi and his APC, on the presidential election day, I opened two separate threads with pictures to illustrate the peaceful and transparent nature of the election in Rivers state, yet some people who don't even live in Nigeria will come to post trash.
On 11th, we will vote massively for PDP again.
To hell with Amaechi.

That is the spirit. The first task is to shore up support in our base in the southwest and north. Gone are the days of cockiness and overconfidence. The first task in my area of concern is the Lagos gubernatorial and Ekiti house of assembly elections, we need to make sure we do a 26 - 0 (26 assembly seats), the evil APC forces are planning very hard to chase Gov. Fayose out of office through undemocratic means, they have to be resisted.
I wish PDP success in Ekiti house of assembly election.

Was there a functional APC in Imo and Rivers states before them?
There was fully functional APGA in Imo state and extra charged PDP in Rivers state which was offloaded to APC by Okorocha and Amaechi respectively.

That is the problem with the PDP. Their governors get elected and suddenly become demi-gods without thought for the party structures.

Learn from the APC, everywhere the governor tried to lord things, they have failed
Are you insinuating that Okorocha and Amaechi are not real APC governor? Because, two of them are more than de-gods in their respective States.

PoliticsRe: Arise O' PDP, The Future Is Bright by PhockPhockMan: 11:06am On Apr 04, 2015
Mynd44:
The delusion is total.

GEJ is not the leader of the PDP. He is merely the presidential candidate. That is what kills the PDP.

You people need to allow party leaders lead the party and not your candidates.

I wonder what will have happened to the APC if Fashola had been the leader instead of Tinubu.

Allow the party leaders do their job as party leaders and allow candidates do their job which is serve the people if they are elected and fall into the party if they lose.
Do you know what you're talking about?
Is Jonathan going to assume the leadership of PDP as a sitting president? Was Tinubu the leader of AD during his time as governor?
Whether you like it or not, Jonathan will be the rallying point for all real Progressives.
I bet you , when Nigerians realized their mistake on APC misadventures, they will cry to PDP for redemption.
