InvertedHammer: / If you know the meaning "parasites", you will know that you used it out of context.
Igbo people should stop protecting friends but protect their interests.
Rule of Thumb: Not everyone that professes to be your friend have your interest at heart. Let their actions speak for them. It is like someone with a very low self-esteem who will take anyone as a friend. Such people tend to remain in unhealthy relationships. When you think about that, think about the Igbo people in the contemporary Nigerian politics. / In your own judgment who do you think is Igbo man's best friends, yoruba or Hausa? We've seen yorubas' treachery and Hausas' hostility. WHAT NEXT? |

If you.guys continue like this with your myopic way of politics,I am afraid. We're not afraid to play second fiddle because we're used to it. But I can tell you without mincing word that we prefer to play second fiddle in wider Nigerian politics than to become KING in Tinubu's SLAVEDOM. |

This is politics. At the end who loses? The ones who marginalize themselves and keep crying "marginalization". \ Last I checked, Yoruba stayed last four years without being president, vice president, Senate president or deputy, Speaker or deputy, yet nobody called them fools and they not only survived, they emerged stronger. We're happy to fight for our survival without being parasites. |

Aegon: On the contrary Playing opposition will actually help the east. The west did it for years and they didn't die, in fact they came out stronger. Playing opposition didn't prevent the industrial boom in Lagos and Ogun, Playing opposition won't prevent Innoson from manufacturing automobiles, it would reduce our dependence and distraction from Abuja Interference. How has David Marks senate presidency for 8 whole years helped the average Benue man? Nigeria is rapidly changing and productivity is gradually being rewarded, The era if free money is winding down because of the global economic situation. Not having the senate President won't prevent Aba shoemakers from Exporting 1 million pairs a year. Its time we easterners avoid outside distractions and thoroughly look inward and solve our internal politics before building political bridges with the other regions. Correct. |

eyeview: I sincerely agree with you. The east fought alongside their brothers in the south-south and lost. And if repeated, they'll still stand beside Goodluck Jonathan. They didn't do it because Jonathan was theirs(no,he's south south),they didn't do it because he favoured them in appointments(no,he spread his appointment across board),they didn't do it because he did more work in the east(no,rather he failed in many areas). The south east voted him because they rejected APC in its entireity. As for the post of the senate president, its actually the rest of the nation(especially the yorubas) that make them feel like they lost so much in the senate president seat,as for the igbos, they don't really care that much. I'll advice that the igbos should just chill, take the back seat for the next four years, believe me,once they do that, they'll become the hot bride the PDP and even the APC will court preciously to win in 2019. And on a last note, let all igbos join hands and vote out the last trace of APC(rochas okorocha) from Imo state. Let them make igbo land a strong hold of PDP. Let igbos play opposition than decamping and scattering. The south west played opposition for many years and they didn't die. Let's just discard the immediate rewards of this new government and plan for the future. Selah. God bless you. |

Mscheeew. Sharrraaaaap, it's a known fact that you and other promoters of APC are all Igbo haters. We're not regretting anything. This type of situation brings the best out of Igbo man, so go to hell with your positions. Buhari didnt because he was obviously robbed and results from this election suggest that those phantom manufactured numbers are simply not real in the Nigerian context. In this election, jonah-daft wasnt robbed and he knew it. He supported what happened to Gbagbo of Ivory coast and he knew if he thread such paths, the same calamity awaits him. He had no choice. Jonah-daft remains a curse. Foolish comment as usual. |

deemdeem: The only legacy i can think about him is that he govern over the death of thousands of innocent Nigerian souls ever seen in this country since the civil war You need brain injection. Whether you like it or not, one thing you you must know is the fact that Jonathan is a rare breed. This singular act of his is one thing Buhari failed woefully to do for three consecutive times, and I'm so sure he wouldn't have done that if the election failed to go his way. In fact, here in River state, the militants and cultists are counting their lose because of the president's noble act, otherwise the whole of Niger Delta would have been at boiling point by now. Now I know that Buhari's actions or inactions led to the untimely death of many Nigerians. Jonathan is a great man. |
