Ikengawo: Dont forget Buhari's supporters killing igbos, Fashola deporting and over taxing igbos, Nyako calling for a genocide against igbos, Amaechi calling Imo State "ordinary igbo..i mean ordinary imo state" and their links to bigotted murders like Sanusi Lamido Sanusi who killed Gideon Akalua. Lets not forget their witch hunt against each and every single igbo person in GEJ's government. Barth Nnaji, General Ihejirika, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, Stella Oduah, Allison Madueke. Rochas Okorocha's blatant attempts to cause disunity among igbos Ngige's attempts to import thugs from Osun to cause violence in Anambra. Their mallamic states currently trying to deny Igbos a 6th state at the National Conference. I can name these evils all day!
APC, the Islamic party that want to islamise Igboland through the force of their military wing, boko haram. A party that has succeeded in bankrupting Imo State. A party that has shown the hatred for igbos time and time again as exemplified by their recent convention. A party which is a congregation of enemy of Ndigbo. Whoever feel that igbos cheated them by not joining Apc should show example by joining APGA.

TO HELL WITH APC.

Politics › Why Ndigbo May Not Vote APC In 2015 Elections. by PhockPhockMan(op): 1:49am On Jul 09, 2014
If the 2015 elections were held today, and President Goodluck Jonathan was on the ballot as a candidate of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, the result will be the most humiliating defeat of the All Progressives Congress in the South-East zone. Very few people in Igboland will vote for the APC. The South-East is the highest support base of Jonathan and his party and I will tell you why.It is not because Jonathan has performed creditably in the zone. If you speak with many of the political leaders in the zone privately, they will express their disgust for the President’s unresponsive leadership style. However, despite the initial promise shown by the APC, it has simply refused to carry Ndigbo along. This attitude might have been borne out of the initial permutations about 2015 within the party.Conventional wisdom will proposethat if the APC manages to win themajority votes in most of the states in the North and South-West, it may not need to bother somuch about the South-South and the South-East, yet, the party can hope of defeating the President. However, the surprise from the last Ekiti election has changed everything. With a considerable incursion into the expected APC votes in the South-West, and the uncertainties in the North arising from insecurity, the permutation needs to be adjusted for the APC to defeat the incumbent President. The fate of the 7,577,212 votes of Ndigbo may become the game-changer. Many people take it for granted that these votes will go to Jonathan. Why?The APC does not seem perturbedhow it is perceived in other regions apart from the North. For those who are on the ground in Igboland, the party is still being perceived rightly or wrongly as a Northern party. Many conservative Igbo voters are very reluctant to join such a party. Although some individuals within the party such as Governor RochasOkorocha of Imo State and Senator Chris Ngige are popular, such popularity has yet to be transferred to the party. The second point is that many people still feel that the APC has links with the Boko Haram insurgents causing mayhem in theNorth. This may just be mere perception that cannot be substantiated, yet, it has eaten deeply into the fabric of our society. For some reasons that are beyond the scope of this writer, many of the victims of the Boko Haram attacks have been Christians and their worship centres. And many Igbo, who are mainly Christians, are domicilled in the North while a majority of the abducted girls from Chibok are Christians. The prevailing narrative in the South-East therefore is that Ndigbo and Christians are being targeted by the insurgents. Though it could bepropaganda, the ruling Peoples Democratic Party has continuouslypointed accusing fingers at the APC. Anyone who thinks that such crucial perception issues will not affect the pattern of voting in 2015 is only being naïve.Interestingly, the APC as a party has done nothing except occasional denials to challenge some of these perceptions. Even among many Yoruba in the South-West, the prevailing narrative about the religious portrayal of the APC could affect the direction of their support especially in the Presidential election. That is why the whole idea of a Muslim-Muslim ticket will be an error. Now, as a person, I really do not care about the religion of any political leader. It matters less to me. However, as a student of pragmatic politics, I know it matters much for many Nigerians especially with the continuous bombings and killings linked to the extremist Muslims. Now back to Ndigbo and the do-nothing approach of the APC, there are two incidents that have portrayed the party as insensitive to the South-East which, obviously, would affect its electoral fortunes. The first is the massacre of 14 Ndigbo traders who were attending Adazi town hall meeting in Mubi, Adamawa State some years back. The second is the forced surreptitious “deportation” of some people of Igbo extraction to Onitsha Bridge. Since the Adazi incident, many of the widows have been forced to flee into theirhome state. There were media reports how those women were finding it difficult to find their feetbecause of the manner of their exit from Mubi. Many waited to hear that one of the APC leaders paid a solidarity visit to Adazi to commiserate with the widows let alone arranging any form of support to them even if for the sake of politics. For the deportation incident, after a widespread condemnation of the action by many patriots, Governor Babatunde Fashola was forced to offer a half-hearted apology. On a final note, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) and some prominent leaders of the APC have been portrayed in the media as religious zealots. Even if Buhari is not one, there are many people who will find that difficult to believe among the South-East electorate. That singular perception may potentially cause problems for the party in the forthcoming elections. There is a consensus among the Nigerian public that the ruling PDP has not performed. The people seem prepared to vote theparty out in the next elections. However, it is not automatic. Many Nigerians have waited endlessly for the APC that it could be relied upon to deliver a real change to the people. That has not happened. If it does not happen soon through a reach-out strategy that challenges some of these perceptions, then the hope of displacing the PDP may continue to be wishful thinking. However, if Nigeria is to fulfil its developmental potential, it is timeto play politics beyond those narrow fixations and peddling of untested preconceived ideas but ignoring Ndigbo could become a risky adventure that may lead to perilous outcomes. The addiction of the APC leadership for control should give way to a clear road map of how to govern Nigeria differently. The party could still be the vehiclefor change only if its leaders will urgently evolve an inclusive strategy and a clear policy departure from business-as-usual pattern of the PDP. They should wake up from their slumber or forget the Presidency in 2015.

The Lagos State Chapter of PDP has vowed to stop the return of Senator Oluremi Tinubu to the Senate. This is just as it has also cautioned the senator to stop disgracing the State by her unparliamentary, unpatriotic and inexperienced manner of carrying out ordinary legislativefunctions and privileges. The PDP further vows that, unless the Senator is lucky to escape reprimand by the Senate, it shall mobilise voters in Lagos Central Senatorial District to invoke section 69 of Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution. The said section talks about Powers and Processes to recall a Senator or Member of the House of Representatives. The Party’s stance is on the heels of reports of two interviews granted in two different National Newspapers, wherein Senator Oluremi Tinubu disparaged the Senate as nonentity and also described the hallowed Chamber as not befitting enough of her likes to return! The said interviews were brought on the floor of the Senate by senator Victor Ndoma-Egba. The Senate has consequently asked it’s committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions to investigate the Lagos central Senator.“First, we want to reassure Senator Remi Tinubu that indeed she has had her Fill in the Senate and can never return to the Senate in 2015, atleast not as a Lagos Senator. As a matter of fact, her completing this present term is hanging and imbalance. Unless she is lucky to scale through the senate and be cleared by the Senate committee to investigate her, we shall mobilise voters from her Senatorial District to commence
the process of her Recall as allowed under section 69 of ourConstitution.
Lagosians are now too embarrassed by the ignoble actions of this APC Senator whowe expected would be a fast learner and graduate from being a rookie Senator to an experienced Senator.
Indeed, we do recognise her Right of freedom of expression, however, she ought to exercise same within the Rules of the Senate. Persistently making same mistakes shows that she is either Treacherous or inexperienced, consequently Unfit to remain in the Senate”

Politics › BREAKING NEWS ; Police Arrest Ekiti APC Leader, Others For Robbery. by PhockPhockMan(op): 10:34am On Jul 08, 2014
. The Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police Force, Adeniji-Adele Street, Lagos, on Monday paraded a chief of the AllProgressives Congress in Ekiti State, Itunnu Odeyemi, and eight others, saying they were notoriousfor snatching exotic cars in the country. The police said Odeyemi was also an APC Local Government Area executive in Efon-Alaaye, Ekiti State.Other members of the nine-man gang are Omoniyi Ajewole, Oluseye Jacob, Oluwadamiliare Rasaki, Ajisafe Olawale, Ogunniyi Sunday, Tolani Babatunde, Abubakar Umar, and Ayodeji Olumudi. The Force Public Relations Officer, Mr. Frank Mba, said the suspects were arrested after a victim, who was robbed of two vehicles and other valuables on June 27, 2013 in Ile-Ife, Osun State, reported to the police. He added that the casewas later transferred to the FSARS.It was gathered that the arrest of Ajewole, a 28-year-old man from Ilesha, Osun State, had led to the arrest of other members of the gang which included Odeyemi, who Ajewole also claimed was his political godfather. While speaking with journalists, Odeyemi denied being a member of the gang. He said he provided Ajewole with a locally-made gun, which the police have recovered, to protect him during the period of the recently concluded governorship election in Ekiti State. He said, “Omoniyi (Ajewole) is my political thug. I brought him to myplace and gave him a gun to secure me. I have never participated in any robbery operation, but he used to escort me with the gun. Having an escortwas part of the gains of being a political leader. All APC leaders were working for the government during the election.“Every political party, including ours has factions. That was why I gave him the gun, so that he couldalways protect me wherever I went. I also told him to be with me, particularly as the Ekiti election was approaching then. I had seen the gun on the ground during the 2007 elections violencein the state and had kept it.”Ajewole, who was first caught by the police, confessed during interrogation that he had been working as a political thug for the APC chieftain. He said, “He had given me the gun to use in protecting him during campaign violence. But I had not yet used the gun before I was arrested in September 2013. Iam not a robber. I prefer to be called a political thug. I was the only one the honourable (Odeyemi) gave the gun, and he also paid me salary.”Our correspondent learnt that after the arrest of the gang, the FSARS were able to recover 17 stolen cars in different parts of the country, most of which were Toyota and Honda brands. Three assorted guns were also recoveredfrom them.Mba said the suspects would soonbe arraigned in court. He said, “This is a case that started on June 27, 2013 when a Nigerian was robbed of two vehicles and other valuables and he reported the incident to the police. This arrest is one of the achievements of the FSARS. It led to the arrest of nine suspects who were clearly linked with not just the armed robbery reported, but a series of such in the country.“An interesting aspect of the arrest is that Ajewole confessed tothe police that he was not an armed robber, but also a political thug working for Odeyemi Itunnu from Efon Alaaye, Ekiti State. We want to warn politicians to steer clear of actions that are capable ofposing a threat to the security of the country.”

Supporters of President Goodluck Jonathan under the aegis of GEJites Volunteers have disprovedthe statement issued on Thursday by the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Jonathan being “callous” and “insensitive” to security situation in the country. The group said it was not campaigning for re-election yet as the law says you cannot campaignas a political party until Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says so.To them, they are only mobilising support for whom they think can solve the country’s problems. The APC in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed, had described as utterly callous and insensitive the ongoing campaign by GEJites for the President’s re-election right at the same spot where the ‘bring back our girls’ campaigners have been staging daily protests demanding the safe return of the over 200 Chibok girls. In a statement issued by its Chairman and National Coordinator, Chief Anthony Tosan Prest, the group said it strongly believed that Jonathan has been the hardest working president ever produced by the country andwill be the best loved president of Nigeria ever, hence; the reason for the support.Prest noted that Jonathan’s Transformation Agenda’s policies on governance is already tackling most development challenges such as poverty, unemployment, security and deplorable state of infrastructure.

The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, in a statement on Sunday, said Oshiomhole was also embittered by the acceptance of his followers, including his aides, top government functionaries, legislators and influential APC leaders into the PDP train. He said the governor was roundly rejected on account of his undemocratic tendencies.
Politics › Oshiomhole, APC Jittery Over Defection —PDP by PhockPhockMan(op): 11:53am On Jul 07, 2014
The Peoples Democratic Party has said the All Progressives Congress and the Governor of Edo State, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, are now jittery over the plan by members of the opposition party to dump the ruling party in the state. The party added that the alleged soaring popularity of the PDP in the state was giving the governor and his party sleepless night. The PDP said that this could be the reason why the governor and the APC had allegedly resorted to orchestrating a crisis in a spirited move to stop the trend. The party also accused Oshiomhole of “stirring up the political crisis in Edo State to prevent an official investigation into findings that he has been squandering the state’s resources, including huge levies and taxes to finance his campaign for Vice-Presidency, instead of settlingdown to develop the state.”The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, in a statement on Sunday, said Oshiomhole was also embittered by the acceptance of his followers, including his aides, top government functionaries, legislators and influential APC leaders into the PDP train. He said the governor was roundly rejected on account of his undemocratic tendencies. But Oshiomhole, in a statement by his Special Adviser Media and Public Affairs, Kassim Afegbua, dismissed Metuh’s allegations. He said, “The crisis in Edo Assembly is a product of the PDP’s desperation for power in its attempt to capture anything in sight, like a bunch of famished baboons.“It is the same theatre of desperation that is pervading the entire political landscape as a consequence of the PDP’S show of raw power. We find it laughable that Olisah Metuh, who is reputed to be a propagandist and who had earlier lied against the comrade governor has come up again to embark on another tale of the absurd.”According to him, Oshiomhole’s record of performance in Edo State has since become a reference point in the history of performance and good governance in Nigeria.Afegbua stated, “His (the governor) tremendous achievements across the state could only have been possible through prudent and transparent management of resources, especially in a state that was run aground by the PDP for 10 solid but sordid years. Reminding Edo people of those forgone years of the locust is to insult the collectivesensibilities of the people.”He denied the allegation that Oshiomhole was contesting the vice-presidency of the country.“In fact, we would have loved a situation where he would run for the Presidency of the country to take us away from this regime of tactlessness that has almost earned Nigeria a failed state status,” he stated. He said that the governor had not indicated interest in any elective office for now.Metuh, however, insisted that Oshiomhole, having lost the confidence of the people due to his despotism, had resorted to violence and blackmail. He stated, “This frenetic effort to subvert the will of the people is foolhardy and compares to a fabled tale of a man attempting to eclipse the moon with the hands.“The fact that Edo is home to the PDP has never been in doubt. In fact, what is happening in Edo State is clearly a case of water finding its level.“We are aware that Governor Oshiomhole and the APC leaders have been having sleepless nights since the discovery of his mismanagement of the state’s resources for parochial agenda and the continued defections of influential APC members to the PDP and are as such bent on contriving a quick-fix to stem the tide.”He alleged that part of the survival strategies of the governor and his party was the spreading of what he called “wild allegations and instigating the crisis in Edo State House of Assembly to disorganise and compromise the legislature.”He added that the “macabre dance playing out in Edo Assembly” was an expression of defeatism or rather a terminal symptom of a decadent regime. He said, “What else would have prompted the relocation of the state legislature to the governor’s office on the stage-managed renovation of the Assembly Complex, if not a calculated plot to intimidate and compromise thelawmakers and prevent them from carrying out their constitutional duties of checking the excesses of the state executive under Governor Oshiomhole?”

. The Extra Ordinary General Assembly of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) yesterday in Abuja unanimously dissolved the Alhaji Aminu Maigari-led board and appointed new Electoral and Appeals Committees to handle its forthcoming election. In a communiqué read by Chief Obinna Ogba, Chairman of the Communiqué Drafting Committee, on behalf of 31 out of 44 members who came from the various states of the federation to Bolingo Hotels and Towers Abuja, venue of the Extra Ordinary General Assembly, to deliberate on recent developments around Nigeria football bemoaned the financial row involving the Super Eagles and the Maigari-led board at the Mundial in Brazil. They blamed the Maigari-led board for failing to resolve the matter which somehow dented the image of the country at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.The communiqué read as follows:“The Congress expressed heartfelt appreciation to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, in his personal capacity and the Federal Government in general, for total and unflinching supportto the Nigeria Football Federation for the development of the Nigerian game.“Members of the NFF commended the players and officials of the Super Eagles for their impressive performance at the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil.“Congress bemoaned the unfortunate incident of the international embarrassmentcaused the Nigerian nation at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, by failure of the Aminu Maigari-led NFF to fully and firmly resolve issues of finance with the Super Eaglesahead of the championship.“Congress accused the Maigari administration of shortchanging grassroots development by failure to regularly avail State Football Associations of annual grant, and abuse of NFF Statutes in its constitution of NFF Electoral Committee, by altering the list of persons approved by the Congress at the 2013 General Assembly in Warri, Delta State, and inaugurating a different Committee.”The communiqué also confirmed the election of a new NFF Electoral Committeeand NFF Appeals Committee which were duly constituted by the Congress at the venue. The Electoral Committee are made up of, Barr. Jeriak Rowland (South South), Barr. Usman A. Usman (North West), Barr. Emeka Asogwa (South East), Mrs. Margareth Aku (North Central), Mr. Hassan Adamu (North East), Prof. Ademola Abass (South West), Barr. Chris Essien (South South) and Lawrence Katken (Secretary). The Electoral Appeals Committee which was also duly constituted yesterday bythe NFF Congress includes, Barr. Effiong Oboho, Barr. Waribere Sonari, Dr. Isaac Akinloye, Mr. Thomas Awok, Mr. Simon Gyang as members and Barr. Queen Otarakpo as Secretary.Sunday Mirroralso gathered that the Extra-Ordinary Congress unanimously endorsed the dissolution of the Aminu Maigari –led NFF Executive Committee, and immediate termination of the employment of all Management Staff. They also endorsed the dissolution of the Boards of the Nigeria National League, Nigeria Women League and the Nigeria Nationwide League. The Secretaries are to take over the running of the Leagues and report to the Acting General Secretary of NFF.The Congress finally approved the appointment of Mr. Lawrence Katken as Acting General Secretary of NFF, pending the appointment of a substantiveGeneral Secretary. The recent development nowputs to rest the recent threat by the world football ruling body (FIFA) to ban Nigeria if the crises in the NFF are not properly resolved before July8. FIFA had warned the NFF that they could be banned from international football if they cannot prove their independence from the Nigerian government.“FIFA has reminded the NFF that all FIFA member associations have to manage their affairs independently and without influence of any third parties,” the statement on FIFA’s website read. The statement continued: “FIFA will not recognize any person or organ not elected in compliance with the NFF statutes.“An elective Congress has been duly convened by the NFF for August 26, 2014 and only decisions and persons elected then will be considered legitimate.”It could be recalled that Justice L.P Lot of a High Courtsitting in Jos, Plateau State, had on Wednesday, restrained the former NFF boss, Maigari, his Executive Committee members and theCongress from carrying on with the running of football in the country following a suit. The Judge also mandated Sports Minister, Dr. Tamuno Danagogo, to appoint an acting Secretary General to run the affairs of Nigerian football pending the determination of the Motion on Notice before the court. Therefore, with the confirmation of Lawrence Katken as Acting NFF Secretary General by the NFFCongress yesterday, the coastis now clear for a credible election into the board of NFF to hold next month.
