If not for the early Arrival of men of Nigeria police force, They would've been roasted like ALUU BOYS . The victim was kidnapped since last week but was rescued by the vigilantes. Unfortunately for the kidnappers, the victim recognized the leader of the gang, "ERIMERI", the younger brother to the slain cult leader, SOBOMA GEORGE. The female member of the gang serves as informant, also takes care of feeding their victims.
Today, they've met their waterloo.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday arraigned officials of the Central Bank of Nigeria and other banks in the Federal High Court, Ibadan, for their roles in the recycling of mutilated currencies worth N8bn. The trial, which took place before Justice Ayo Emmanuel, had Patience Okoro, Afolabi Johnson, Ilori Sunday, Kolawole Babalola, Olaniran Adeola and Fatai Yusuf being arraigned on five counts of conspiracy, diversion and stealing of mutilated currencies meant for briquetting. They were accused of replacing the mutilated currencies with cut-to-size newspapers and diverting the money for personal use. Also arraigned are Kayode Philips, Salami Ibrahim and Odiah Emmanuel in another conspiracy charges with other officials of CBN and other banks. They were arraigned on 11 counts in another fraudulent ring involving multi million naira mutilated currencies. The court heard that Roy Akinsiku and O. Sobowale, who are among the suspects, were at large. CBN had said, “During a routine internal audit of the Bank’s Cash Destruction activities in September 2014, the CBN Briquetting Panel, comprising Senior Bank Staff from different branches, noticed some anomalies at the Ibadan Branch, and immediately reported this to the Bank’s Management. “On further investigation ordered by the Governor, it was discovered that a systematic scheme, which has been on for several years, was being run, in which mutilated higher denomination notes, originally meant for destruction, were swapped with lower denomination currencies.” The five counts, read to the accused persons, accused them of committing an offence contrary to Section 7 (2) of the Bank Employees (Declaration of Assets) Act Cap. B1 Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Counsel for the accused persons, Olayinka Bolanle, pleaded that the accused be admitted to bail, but the move was opposed by EFCC lead prosecutor, Mr. Rotimi Jacobs (SAN). Presiding judge, Justice Emmanuel, ruled that the accused persons be remanded in EFCC’s custody or at the Criminal Investigation Department, Iyaganku Police Division, Ibadan. He fixed June 9, 2015 for the argument of bail application. He added that proper trial would begin between July 6 and 7, 2015. Justice Emmanuel said, “Having considered the various applications by the counsel in this case, and having considered the proof and charges, I see that they are weighty and I will not allow such applications to be made orally. “All counsel should properly file the applications for all the issues therein to be addressed. The matter is hereby adjourned till June 9 for the bail application and July 6 and 7 for trial. “The accused persons are hereby remanded in the prison.” http://www.punchng.com/news/efcc-arraigns-cbn-officials-others-for-n8bn-currency-scam/ |

The people of Ijaw ethnic stock in Nigeria, under the auspices of Ijaw National Congress, say the current structure of the Nigerian state is lopsided in favour of the major ethnic nationalities.
They contend that the development is such that there is no adequate socio-political and economic space for the minor ethnic nationalities, particularly the Ijaw, to thrive.
Their position was contained in a communique released after the Pan Ijaw Stakeholders summit entitled, ‘Ijaw Agenda Beyond May 29, 2015′, and made available to our correspondent on Tuesday.
The communique was signed by 31 prominent Ijaw citizens, including former Bayelsa State Governor, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha; former Military Governor of old Rivers State, King Alfred Diete-Spiff; and Emeritus Professor of History, Ebiegberi Alagoa.
The event, co-hosted by the INC and the Bayelsa State Government, was chaired by Diete-Spiff, who is also the Amanyanabo of Twon Brass.
The summit regretted that successive administrations in Nigeria had proved unwilling to accede to the demand by the Ijaws to be united in homogeneous political entities of their own.
They noted that Nigeria was made up of diverse ethnic nationalities with varying histories, motivations and aspirations, submitting that the ethnic nationalities should form the basis of a true Nigerian federation.
They stated, “Conscious of the fact that the environment remains the most valuable physical resource for development and survival of the Ijaw ethnic nationality, the summit notes that the Ijaw oil and gas communities suffer the deleterious effects of oil and gas exploration and exploitation.
“But we regret the inability of the Nigerian state to address the concomitant negative impacts on the health, economy, culture and environment of the Ijaw people. This reality is leading to the gradual extinction of the Ijaw people.
“Dissatisfied with the present constitutional and legislative arrangements for resource control and allocation in Nigeria, the summit observes that in all true federations and other civilised states, the communities that bear natural resources control these resources and only pay taxes to the central government. Nigeria is the only exception.
“Aware of the fact that violence and restiveness is a new phenomenon foisted on Ijaw people by circumstances of oppression and frustration, we observe that continued militarisation of Ijaw territory has resulted in severe erosion of our cherished values as a people.”
The Ijaw people agreed on the imperative to take steps to promote and sustain the Izon language as part of the desires to maintain and promote their cultural values. http://www.punchng.com/news/nigerias-federalism-lopsided-diete-spiff-alamieyeseigha/ |

Wsdm: When Groundnut and cocoa were sustaining us, why didn't the North and the South West ask for separation? The fact remain that the North and the South West are naturally accommodating to other Nigerians- the reasons why they have the greatest influx of people from other parts of the country. Mind you that the Hausa/Fulanis are not with the mentality of born to rule. But read this simple analysis; 1 They are most populated. 2 They are most United. 3 They are most accommodating(which will add to their population) With the above, except they relinquish power willingly in a democracy, no other region can muscle them in a fair election. This is why other region feel intimidated and thereby coined the phrase- 'born to rule'. @bolded Both groundnut and cocoa was sustaining the region that produces them while palm oil sustain the east. I know you're a kid. |

EUROBOMBER: I will start by saying that I still believe in a united and prosperous Nigeria where there is equity, fairness and justice.
My question is this, assuming that every single drop of oil dries up in Nigeria today, will those of us that believe in One Nigeria still do so? The One Nigeria that we are shouting today, is it because we genuinely love our country and love one another or is it because of love for crude oil and by extension money? The love of money is the root of all evil.
Another question is this, assuming all the oil reserves located in the Niger Delta were located in the far north say NW, would they not have called for Nigeria to break up long time ago? I personally think the northerners would have quickly severed relationship with the infidel South and formed their own country so that they could solely enjoy their crude oil. If with the South largely feeding this nation mostly from sales of crude oil, the North can be as arrogant as they are presently, just imagine what it would have been if the reverse were the case.
I rest my case. Op, I'm ashamed of Igbos of your type. Your types of Igbos are the reasons Igbos are gnashing their teeths in agony because of their beliefs on an unworkable one Nigeria Are you not the same programmed robot going from one thread to another insulting fellow Igbos for pursuing self determination? You accused radio Biafra of hate speeches, tell me what this useless thread is all about? Is it different from preaching of radio Biafra which you condemns here and there. This thread is not necessary, all you need to do is to apologize to those you insulted about Biafra issue and move on. |

owobokiri: There is a need for a more radical, ruthless and relentless approach to the Biafran struggle. The reasons for this are pretty obvious. 50 years after Biafra, eastern Nigeria inspite of her immense contribution to the Nigerian state has been treated with scorn and levity by a parasitic bunch of eternally blundering sets of overly corrupt Abuja oligarchs whose control of the power structure in Nigeria only serves to undermine the eastern interest while providing Nigerians with nothing worthwhile to hope on. This epileptic amalgam is horrendeously hapless. It has become a monumental shame to proud men from proud cultures like Biafrans. An overwhelminly alarming edifice to incompetence, political debauchery and run-away kleptomania. A paradise to tribal hawks who will always approach every issue from the pettiest of angles, Nigeria is ugly! A state exists to further the interests of the people . A state shouldn't be turned into a vehicle to loot and pillage other peoples resources just to dance to the hedonistic whims of some unserious bunch.. This thing is not working! This thing is not designed to work!! The petty conglomorate of premodial characters that populate Abuja as we speak lack the inventive leadership traits needed to make a head or tail out of this Lugards acient schifi creation. Lets do the needful my people; lets put this emberassinly wobbling behemoth down. It is doable. |

cramjones: Ban these people now. We cannot tolerate people insulting the office of the President online. It will never be condoned.
1. Asset declaration: PMB declared his asset first to the CCB. He cannot just declare his asset on National Television first without first declaring to CCB and signing the asset declaration forms. It would be a breach of the constitution if he decides to do the latter first before doing the former. Kindly calm down and wait for him to declare his assets to the Nigerian people because it will surely happen.
2. Security: He has only been president for 48 hrs! He has made a Press statement already. We experienced a historic moment in our country's history and we must celebrate it. Boko Haram or no Boko Haram. PMB will defeat Boko Haram. Wish him well to do so for the interest of those endangered by them and for the survival of our country. To criticize him for celebrating the inauguration is nothing but foolishness! The declaration of citing the command headquarters for the war against boko haram wasn't presidential and assertive enough? Grow out of your foolishness before it consumes you!
3. Chibok girls: What the hell! I say what the hell! GEJ failed to act in the first 2 weeks of the kidnap, now the issue has become extremely complicated and you want him to tell you for certain that he will bring them back? No! He won't he never did. PMB only said that bringing back the girls will be priority and he will do his best to bring back our girls. Please stop this ridiculous claims and hate.
Finally, we must join hands to support this president. It is good to be a critic and keep the government in check, but there is no need being a foolish critic to gain cheap and foolish popularity.
Let us give PMB a chance. He has set the ball rolling in a country left destroyed by GEJ, and we must support him!
-CramJones You really need brain Surgery . @bolded, Did you people gave GEJ chance to succeed, did you pray for him, did you join hands support him? Why do you expect us give to Buhari what you people didnt give GEJ? You're a dreamer. It's disheartening to realize the high level of hate, hypocrisy and stupidity in you people. So unfortunate |

Politics › Fayose Pays 19 APC Lawmakers’ Salaries. by PhockPhockMan(op): 5:26am On May 31, 2015 |
There are indications that the embattled 19 members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly of the All Progressives Congress extraction have been paid their outstanding salaries and allowances by the state government.
SUNDAY PUNCH investigations revealed that the lawmakers led by the embattled Speaker, Dr. Adewale Ominrin were paid the said allowances sometime last week.
The development, sources told SUNDAY PUNCH, was a fallout of the peace meeting the lawmakers held with Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The agreement between the warring parties according to sources is that once the lawmakers are paid their outstanding allowances, they will sheathe their sword and jettison their plan to impeach the governor.
The struggle for the soul of the state by the two parties had nearly paralysed the state with both of them threatening to deal with each other.
However, sources disclosed to SUNDAY PUNCH that there is apprehension that the truce may suffer a setback with the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday.
There are concerns that the party might want to use federal might to unseat the governor who was a pain in the neck during campaigns for the president, who was the APC candidate though a court had earlier ordered the warring parties to maintain the status quo.
The Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Ayodeji Daramola, has yet to constitute a panel to investigate the allegations of impunity, violence, stalking and other constitutional breaches raised against the duo.
Omirin, had in an April 9 letter directed the CJ to raise a seven-man panel to investigate the allegations within seven days of receipt of the letter.
But barely six days to the end of the life of the Assembly, the CJ has yet to raise the panel as directed.
Checks by SUNDAY PUNCH revealed that the APC lawmakers had decided to keep mum on their next line of action with the transition of power to Buhari.
Fayose was accused of spearheading a hate campaign against Buhari in favour of former President Goodluck Jonathan, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the March 28 presidential election.
Both parties have, however, refused to comment on the development. It was learnt that both parties had agreed not to speak to the press on the matter so as to keep it from the public domain.
When contacted on Saturday, Omirin refused to reply to inquiries from our correspondent on the impeachment saga.
However, one of the lawmakers who spoke on condition of anonymity, said there was a directive from the party’s national leadership not to speak to journalists about the development.
He, however, said the legislators did not believe that the governor was seeking a genuine reconciliation with them based on the outcome of the peace meeting held in Akure last week.
Asked to comment on insinuations that they have been paid, he said, “That is a lie. You don’t know Ayo (governor)? Do you think he is ready to pay anybody?”
When contacted on Friday, Fayose said he was not afraid of impeachment as the people of Ekiti were solidly behind him.
Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, the governor said, “The APC lawmakers should be asked if we have been faithful so far. As for us, we are fulfilling our own part of the bargain.”
The governor also denied bribing anybody, saying he was seeking a true reconciliation in the interest of the state.
“We did not bribe anybody. We are for peace and that is why the governor honoured their invitation to attend a meeting in Akure. It is the APC lawmakers that should be asked if they will reciprocate the gesture.”
The state’s APC chapter refused to speak about the development on Saturday.
The Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatubosun, did not answer calls placed to his telephones.
But his counterpart in the PDP, Mr. Joseph Adaraniwon, said the governor had no impeachment proceedings against him by law.
“Omirin has for long ceased to be the Speaker. Hon. Dele Olugbemi is the Speaker of the Assembly. So, Omirin lacked the authority to commence anything on behalf of the lawmakers.
“In a Nigeria where the constitution and law operate, the governor has no fears at all because the plot against him is illegal and unconstitutional.” http://www.punchng.com/news/fayose-pays-19-apc-lawmakers-salaries/ |
