(1) Honey's antibiotic properties can help improve acne. Apply a teaspoon of honey to affected areas and let it stay there for about thirty minutes.

(2) Lemons act as an exfoliant, skin lightener, and disinfectant to reduce the appearance of scars and prevent new pimples from forming. On a clean face, dab acne with a cotton ball or cotton swab dipped in lemon juice, then rinse with cool water.

OP, buy honey and lemons and try these methods out. The methods will help.

You can also see a doctor to prescribe some medicines for you. You will be surprised that many of the medicines won't even be expensive. But remember to use the two methods in this comment.

Lalasticlala, help move this thread to front-page. Thanks.

Education / Common Errors In English. by phoenixthefirst(m): 3:13pm On Jun 10, 2017
Uncountable nouns don't take the articles "a" and "an": Information, and advice are uncountable nouns that don't take articles "a" and "an". Correct examples: (1) I have information for you. (2) I have a piece of information for you. Wrong examples: (1) I have an information for you. (2) I have informations for you.

The letter or word - I - should always be a capital letter wherever it appears. Examples: (1) I am choleric. (2) She thinks I am choleric.

Singular nouns take singular verbs, just as a plural noun attracts a plural verb: The problem in identifying whether a noun or a verb is plural or not is whether or not "s" or "es" should be added to the noun or verb. To make a noun plural, add "s", "ies", or "e". Examples: singular nouns: animal, man, irregularity. Their plural forms: animals, men, irregularities. While plural nouns take "s", "ies", or "e", plural verbs do not. Plural nouns and plural verbs in sentences: The men(plural noun) hate(plural verb) her. The irregularities(plural noun) do(plural verb) not say much... The animals(plural noun) do(plural verb) rest a lot. To make a noun singular, do not add any letter like "s", "ies", or "e". Singular nouns: boy, irregularity, man. To make a verb singular, add "s," "ies", or "es". Singular verbs: takes, does. Singular nouns and singular verbs in sentences: (1) The boy(singular noun) sings(singular verb) well. (2) The irregularity(singular noun) exemplifies(singular verb) the chaos. (3) The situation(singular noun) does(singular verb) not scare me.

Pronoun/antecedent agreement which states that a pronoun must refer to only one antecedent clearly in gender and number: a pronoun is a word used instead of a noun while an antecedent is the word that a pronoun refers to or replaces. Pronoun example: Tola is a good girl. She is very kind. "She" is a pronoun for replacing "Tola". The antecedent of the pronoun "she" is also "Tola" as this is what the pronoun replaces. In this example, the pronoun "she" replaces the noun/antecedent "Tola" properly in terms of gender as Tola is a girl and "she" is a female pronoun. The pronoun "she" also refers properly to the noun/antecedent "Tola" in terms of number as "Tola" is one person(singular) and "she" is also singular. Another example: The diatribes(plural) are unprecedented as they(plural) are considered the first. It is wrong to say "the diatribes(plural) are unprecedented as it(singular) is considered the first.

A bit of idioms: Considered as or to be is wrong. So, it is wrong to say "women are considered as better homekeepers". You should say "women are considered better homekeepers". It is wrong to say regarded to be. So, only say "women are regarded as better homekeepers".

A word that begins with a vowel sound must attract the "an" article. For example: I have an egg. A word beginning with a consonant sound must attract the "a" article. Example: The room is a hell.

After using the "a" article, do not use a plural noun. Do not say "I have a beautiful sisters". You should say "I have a beautiful sister" or "I have beautiful sisters".

Do not ask them the job roles. This is because you may get an interview for a bit unfamiliar job position, do not, I repeat, do not ask about the roles. You were sent an invitation, why didn't you research about the roles?

Hahahahahaha That's why I always tell people to type pidgin. That's the easiest and simplest way to communicate without bullets flying
But I have come to notice that even pidgin English has its own grammar too. Some people are just utterly inept at these things. I am even thinking of creating another moniker - GrammarPolice - that I can use to haunt these solecisms, but I am too busy for that.

2.

I got lost today,
While walking the tracks,
In the chance,
Of my brief coffee break time;
I fled my tedium,
Through slithering cracks,
Of a portal that moved,
With altering chime.

It was a beautiful place,
I did not recognize,
Yet it felt like a home
I once knew very well,
A sense of nostalgia,
Drew mist from my eyes
But there were no memories,
And no stories to tell.

Sweet vicarious feeling,
So tangible and dear,
It filled the blank pages,
At the speeding of sound,
And suddenly swift,
Swiftly sudden I hear,
My intimate story,
Both seeming and profound.

I am trapped in a vortex,
These familiar tracks,
A robust prison,
The steel of my longing,
How could I get out,
And why shouldn't i relax,
Beneath the heaviness,
Of lyrical thronging.
Nice poem. The brevity of lines is awesome. I feel the melancholy of the poetic persona too.

Romance / Re: PSA: Stop Repressing Women. by phoenixthefirst(m): 7:33pm On Jun 07, 2017
RaggedyAnn:
Why do most NL men try to shame women when they speak about being dissatisfied in the sack? A woman tries to find solutions because she hasn't been climaxing with her husband/partner, and then some rascal calls her an olosho. His comments about how a man shouldn't kill himself over pleasing a woman get instantly blessed with likes from like-minded cads. Doesn't a woman have the right to sexual pleasure? What's the point of engaging in sex otherwise? Do you expect her to get nothing out of it?

If, as a man, you couldn't be bothered with your partners satisfaction, why don't you just patronize a prostitute who only cares about the cash compensations. And why do you still castigate girls who let you be as selfish in the sack as you please, overlook your negligence in that regard, but expect to be taken care of financially?

Where is the symbiosis?

You say the world doesn't revolve around the pussy, and of course it does not. There are so many more important things in life. Like football, politics, your work, poking your eye, or even watching paint dry. But whenever you, of your own volition, have decided to be up-close and personal with pussy, you better not be wasting its time because the world does not revolve around you either.
A man who refuses to sexually satiate his wife should be thrown to the dogs! Literally, I mean. grin. The annoying thing is these men refuse to "free" their women in the bedroom. They don't handle them well, saying "I can't handle my wife the way those other girls should be handled."

Romance / The Issue With The Use Of "Most". by phoenixthefirst(m): 10:03am On Jun 06, 2017
I have observed that on a number of threads(I noticed this in the Romance section), the word "most" is used erroneously. How? For a thread that has no research to back it up, if the OP of the thread does include the word "most", it makes the thread fallacious. Using most even in other situations without any evidence backing the situations up makes the situations very flawed.

By using the word without any research backing it up, the user runs the risk of being perceived as inadvertently pained. This can be seen in a number of threads on Nairaland in which a moniker will use the word in the the title of a thread to speak ill of members of the opposite sex, usually after a member of the opposite sex had created an upbraiding thread about their own sex.

By using the word without a corroborating research, the user runs the risk of being seen as intellectually shallow. If you are not shallow intellectually, you will be very careful about using the word without a supporting research as your intelligence should tell you it is wrong to use the word carelessly.

It is even possible that your use of the word is right if a research is carried out to descry if it is. But without the research, it makes your work fallacious, intellectually shallow and makes you seem in some cases, pained.

PS: If there is no research backing your work up, use the word "some" instead of "most".

Since she was the one who raised the alarm, cause she was being security conscious, then she was in the right position to tell the crowd to chill.
Infact fcvk her. If you see someone with a gun. There is no harm in raising suspicion, but you shouldn't go around shouting that he his a thief. Instead you should just say you're not sure of the suspects motive and this should lead to questioning not lynching.
May you be blessed beyond measure.

When women are maltreated, they rightly claim they are victims. When women kill, they still claim they are victims.

Is there a problem with Ibadan? angry
There is nothing wrong with Ibadan. I, in fact, love that city for its balance between the old and the new. Oyo state was/is among the most viable states in terms of an important criterion: the IGR: "Four of them – Delta, Edo, Enugu and Anambra are among the top 10 viable states in the country in terms of IGR. Indeed, most of them are still dependent on federal allocation for survival, like adults pandering after breast milk. The top 10 leading IGR states in Nigeria are Lagos State with N268.22bn IGR in 2015, Rivers State (N82.10bn), Delta State (N40.80bn), Ogun State (N34.59bn), Edo state (N19.11bn), Enugu (N18.08bn), Oyo (N15.66 bn), Anambra (N14.793bn), Akwa Ibom (N14.791bn) and Kano (N13.611bn)."
