Phones / Switch Effortlessly With Data Switcher On Your Infinix S4 by phonedaddy: 2:59pm On Sep 03, 2019
Today's mobile devices mostly come with multiple SIMs, and for most people who use their smartphones to access the internet (who doesn't?), the quality of internet connection (and calls) varies from one service provider to the other and depends entirely on the SIM that is currently in use. It is no longer a secret that some service providers are better than others whether in terms of their call rates or in terms of the overall service they provide.

If you are like me and use multiple SIMs, then you probably have need to switch between your SIM cards at different periods in time. Whether it is to switch to the SIM that has call credit in it or the one you prefer to connect to the internet with.

But is it possible to automatically switch SIM cards without having to dig through tons of settings?

Is there a feature which you can help with switching SIM Cards easily without you having to do a lot of tapping and clicking?

Let’s welcome the the Data Switcher

Just like the name implies, the Data Switcher helps you to avoid digging through tons of settings to switch to your preferred SIM in use. It reduces all the steps to switch your SIM to just one click. Are you looking for that one feature which allows you to have a control over your multiple SIMS simultaneously? If yes, the Data Switcher is exactly what you need!

The feature which is available on the Infinix S4 and the XOS 5.0 Cheetah operating systems is easy to use and saves you the trouble of switching between SIM cards in tons of steps. It is easily accessible via the notification panel therefore fitting in a perfectly easy-to-reach place on any screen, without being too intrusive.

Now if you're one of those persons that makes use of dual sims on their smart phones, of course everybody does, and you're fond of switching between both sims all the time for data connection. Now you should know the stress it takes to go all the way into your phone's settings, and going into Network and Connections, all for sake of switching from Sim 1 to the Second Sim, all for the sake of Data connection. Like who does that in 2019?

But with the Data Switcher, those stress is a thing of the past, because all those steps have been brought together and made into a single step, and that single step, can be attained with just a simple swipe to open your notifications toggle icons.

How it works on Infinix S4 ?

With the Data Switcher, you can simply switch data between SIM 1 and SIM 2 without going to network settings. Simply swipe down on your screen to access the notification menu. Right there you will see the option for switching data between Sim 1 and Sim 2. Now that's pretty cool right. Just toggle the data switcher to switch to your desired SIM. Easy right? {:14_7:} That’s all it takes.

In a maximum of two steps, you have easily switched the SIM card you want to use for call or data connections without digging up the feature in settings.

Ever since the time it became possible to use multiple SIM cards in one phone, users have been faced with the dilemma of how to easily switch between their SIM cards either to call or for internet connection with less pain and in less time.

The uniqueness of the Data Switcher is the simplicity it brings to one of the most tiring processes smartphones users have to go through while operating their devices. Many people use multiple lines depending on who is giving more data at a particular time. In case you need to switch, it doesn’t have to be painful anymore with the Data Switcher.

Phones / Why Do You Need A Micro SD Card Slot? by phonedaddy: 10:08am On Aug 28, 2019
Do you need a Micro SD card slot?

Micro SD cards are a form of flash memory storage used across a variety of electronic devices, including cell phones.

As you know, many Infinix smartphones offer a microSD slot for expanded storage, backup and transfer of files. No matter separate microSD slot or hybrid SIM tray

So, the question of the day is,

why do you need a Micro SD card slot? and what is the Micro SD card you used for?

No. It doesn't
Its all about needs, some cant afford to buy high end devices and care less about their RAM size.

for example the infinix smart 3 plus is for those who crave to have the same features of the S4 but cant afford it. Most of us will come online and shout without considering those who cant afford a midrange of high end device.

Allow people cut their coat according to their sizes.

Ayebaeapretai:

Can you relate with a scenario where you see some cool video and can’t download at that time, tasking isn’t it! Well screen record has got you covered. Screen record as feature allows you record what is on your screen without having to use another external device or camera. It is smooth and easy to use. This is particularly useful when you want to send an activity on your screen to someone or in the case of online video tutorial.
Before now, a lot of users were forced to download various 3rd Party apps to perform this feature. This could lead to users downloading malware in infected apps by developers which steal user information or even crash their device. Also, 3rd party screen recorders are sometimes not reliable as they crash midway through the recording.
But with the Infinix S4, no need to download anything again. All you need to do is simple. In this article, I would be guiding you through how to activate this new feature.
How to Activate Screen Recorder
Step 1: Swipe down the notification panel fully (Twice)

Step 2: Swipe to the second left to show the screen recorder icon

Step 3: Click on it to reveal the 2 options (Silent Screen Recording or Voiced Screen Recording)

Step 4: Click on Start recording. You would see a counter at the top of the screen to indicate the recording has started. To stop the recording, press the power button.

Gbam !Easy to use

Phones / 10 Ways To Use OTG On Android by phonedaddy: 10:40am On Aug 20, 2019
Most smartphones support OTG technology, although many users are unaware of it. The OTG allows you to connect any USB device to your smartphone, much like a computer. The OTG has great potential, here are 10 ways to exploit it.

1. Keyboard and mouse

It sounds like witchcraft, but it's possible. Just use a USB dongle to connect with your keyboard and mouse, then you can use your device as if it were a simple computer. If you want to write a lot, this can save the day.

2. Sound card

For one reason or another, you may want to use a sound card other than the one that is integrated. You can find a portable one, connect it to your smartphone with an OTG cable and then connect your audio equipment to the sound card gadget through the jack.

3. Gamepad

The touch screen is not always extremely accurate, and this can be a problem on some games. If you are a gamer, you will be delighted to learn that you can connect a controller to your smartphone. Many games on Android allow the use of a gamepad, I think especially GTA3 or Modern Combat.

4. Ethernet connection

If for some reason you have no wireless connection near you, maybe the only possible solution is to use the Ethernet cable that you usually plug into your computer. Fortunately, you can use the OTG to use it on your smartphone. You will need two devices: an OTG cable and a USB-Ethernet adapter. You will then only have to connect it.
?

5. Printing files

With Google Cloud Print, you can print easily without using a cable. Unfortunately, some configuration problems sometimes prevent you from achieving your goals. Rest assured, you can speed up this process by connecting your smartphone directly to the printer with the OTG cable.

6. Reloading (and transferring data) from another smartphone

Imagine that your smartphone is running out of battery and you have another smartphone or tablet on hand. You can use the energy from one of the other two devices to charge the smartphone. Just use the OTG cable to connect your smartphone to the charging cable (USB side), then connect the other end of the charger to the smartphone to be charged. You can also use this method to transfer images or use the camera as an external memory.

7. Camera

With an app on Google Play and an OTG cable, you can control a digital SLR camera. Just install the app and then connect the camera to your smartphone, you can then take pictures with.

8. Synthesizers and microphones

This will please our music players. If you use the Walk Band app, you can record music on your smartphone. In addition, the application allows to connect synthesizers and external microphones.

9. LED light

Many stores can find lamps in USB port. Whether it's a simple LED or a real torch, you can also connect them to your smartphone with an OTG adapter. If you want to do a night selfie, it might be useful.

10. A whole slew of other uses

The classic USB 2.0 allows a 5 volts output. Many gadgets can work with this voltage and, in principle, with the OTG. Be careful though because most are computer-friendly, they can destroy your battery quite quickly.

Phones / How To Use Your Smartphone As A Wi-fi Hotspot by phonedaddy: 9:36am On Aug 16, 2019
How many times have you needed to do something on your laptop when you're out and about, but you didn't want to drop five bucks for a coffee to up some ''free'' Wi-Fi?

The solution is simple: just use your phone as a wireless router and share your phone's data plan with your laptop, tablet, friend's phone or even a desktop computer.

Many phones are capable of operating as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot – the layout and options may just differ slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer.

It's surprisingly simple to set up the ability to share data, and once you've used it a couple of times you'll wonder why you ever thought an actual Wi-Fi hotspot was necessary.

Just go to Settings > Network & internet > Hotspot and Tethering. Depending on your UI the exact path can be slightly different.

Under Hotspot and tethering, you'll find a bunch of options you've probably never looked at before, and you'll also find out that sharing a Wi-Fi connection on Android is easy.

How to setup a Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot

In the middle you will find the main events: Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot and Set Up Wi-Fi Hotspot. If you don't want to use the default setup (or have no idea what the portable hotspot will even be called), then you'll want to go into Set Up Wi-Fi Hotspot first. There'll be a default connection name and password already, but you can rename it or change the password to whatever you choose. Once you've got your Wi-Fi Hotspot set up, just tap that other checkbox/toggle next to Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot and share away.

Simply look for that network name in your other device's Wi-Fi connections list and log on.

Keep in mind that not everyone has an unlimited data plan and using a laptop on a mobile data plan can chew through it very quickly. Your laptop will not be using the mobile versions of the websites you visit, so be wary and only use your phone as a portable hotspot when it's really necessary. Five bucks for a coffee isn't that bad after all when you compare it to excess data charges from your carrier.

How to share data with USB Tethering

USB Tethering allows you to use your phone's data connection with a USB cable. This means you can charge your phone at the same time as sharing a stable data connection with, say, your laptop. It will most likely be grayed out but when you connect your phone to another device or computer via USB, it'll become available.

How to share mobile data with Bluetooth Tethering

At the bottom, there's Bluetooth Tethering, which is basically the same thing as above, but using Bluetooth to share internet instead. Of course, these kinds of tethering also allow you to transfer data and other files over the USB or Bluetooth connection. Naturally, in the second instance you'll need to have your Bluetooth switched on and paired to another device to share your internet via this connection type. This will allow you to share data between phones, or any other Bluetooth devices.

Have you used your smartphone as a Wi-Fi hotspot?

Did you know how to share Wi-Fi from Android before?

Phones / Google Assistant Tips And Tricks : Beginner To Expert by phonedaddy: 7:55am On Aug 15, 2019
Google is going big on its Assistant. The feature is now available for any smartphone with at least Android Marshmallow, and more and more people are using it to help optimize their daily lives. These tips and tricks will help you master the Google Assistant and make the most of your new helper.

Getting started with Google Assistant

Set up Google Assistant for the first time

If you've never used Google Assistant before, don't worry - despite its complex capabilities, it is simple to set up. If your phone is running any version of Android from Marshmallow and up, then long press the home button to open Google Assistant (or say "OK Google" if your voice activation is already turned on). If you don't have Google Assistant yet, the update is coming to you soon.

Start Google Assistant by long pressing the Home button.

On the "Meet your Google Assistant" screen, tap Continue.
Give it permission to access the information it needs to function by tapping Yes, I'm in.
Teach it to recognize your voice by tapping Get started.

Customizing Google Assistant

elect the right Google account: The first thing you should do is make sure that you've selected your primary Google account if you have more than one. Start up Google Assistant, tap the three dots menu icon on the top right to open the menu, and tap Account, then select the one you want to use.

Accessing your settings: Start up Google Assistant, tap the three dots menu icon on the top right to open the menu, and tap Settings. Then, you'll see a list that includes settings for Home control, News, My Day and Shopping list.

o set up your preferred news sources: Go to the Settings, tap News, then tap Customize. Select all the news sources you want, then tap the back arrow. You'll then see a list of your selected news sources, which you can drag around to re-order based on priority. To listen to your customized news later, simply say "Listen to the news."

o set up your My Day summary: Go to the Settings menu and tap My Day. Select what you want to be part of your daily overview. Your choices include weather, work commute, next meeting, reminders and news. When you want Google to tell you what's on your agenda for the day, then simply say "Tell me about my day."

Google Assistant tips you'll use in everyday life

The basics

Getting Google Assistant to do things for you is easy. Instead of memorizing a bunch of robotic commands, you can speak to it in a conversational manner. It feels very natural, and you will rarely ever have to stop and wonder if you're phrasing something the right way. You probably noticed from the section above that the phrases you say to get Google Assistant to play the news or read you a summary of your day are just like something you would say to a human. Here's an example: if you want Google Assistant to pull up the YouTube app for you, just say "Open YouTube". It's as simple as that. Here are some basic things you can do with Google Assistant to get you started:

Tips simply for convenience:

Ask Google Assistant a question to find answers hands-free

Tell it to play a song by a particular artist
Ask it about the current weather
Tricks to never drop the ball in your daily life:

Use Google Assistant to check your calendar for today

Tell is to set alarms, reminders and timers
Tricks for staying in the loop:

Google Assistant can make calls to contacts

Reading and replying to messages
Use Smart Unlock: If you are using a Pixel device, you can setup Assistant to unlock your phone when it hears "OK Google". Don't worry, it will only unlock if it recognizes your voice. Head over to the settings and select 'adjust settings for this Pixel device'. From there you will find 'OK Google detection', where you can turn on a 'Trusted Voice' and give Assistant permission to unlock your phone when it hears you ask it to.

Reading and replying to messages: This is a great new feature. If you send text messages when you text rather than Messenger or WhatsApp, you'll find this trick particularly useful. Tell Google Assistant to "Show me my messages" and you'll see any unread texts. Ask it "Do I have any messages?" and it will show both read and unread messages to you. When they pop up, just tap Reply to be taken to your SMS app to respond.

Remember where you parked your car: As of summer 2019, you can now use Google Assistant to remember where you parked your car. The digital AI uses your location history on Google Maps and can determine where you stopped driving and continued on foot. You could mark where you parked manually on Google Maps before, but now with Assistant, it is done automatically.

More advanced tips and tricks

Once you've mastered getting Google Assistant to do some of the more basic tasks, you can really put it to work for you 24/7. Here are some examples:

Get customized news and sports results as soon as you wake up

Ask Google to navigate a route to work in the morning
Find a nearby coffee shop for a business meeting

Get flight status info and other real-time travel information

Perform translations to and from English anytime

Toss or coin or get a random number anytime

Get Google to read you a bedtime story

control your smart home with Google Assistant

Google Assistant reaches far beyond your smartphone and digital life - it can also control the physical environment in your smart home. If you have a smart thermostat, you can tell it to set the temperature to 73 degrees. If you've got smart lights, then you can check if they're on, turn them off remotely or turn them on in particular rooms of your home. As more smart home tech makes its way into your home, you'll rely more on Google Assistant as the control hub.

Google Lens within Assistant

ens was big when it dropped in 2017, but it has been largely exclusive to Pixel phones until recently. The camera assistant claims to help you make the most of what you can see (by pointing your camera at it) and it can be used within the Google Assistant app. You'll see the Lens icon in the bottom right-hand corner. Tap and point your camera at something and Assistant will provide you with additional information, and make suggestions based on what it can see. For example, showing Assistant a gig poster might result in suggested songs from that artist, or where you can buy tickets for upcoming shows. Pretty cool.

Phone Calls: Back in May 2018, Google announced that Assistant is going to learn how to make phone calls for you. during the keynote address at the company's I/O, Google demonstrated how Assistant will soon be booking your hair appointments. Although this feature is not widely available just yet, Google has begun public tests.

ake a Selfie: If firing up your camera app and hitting the option to flip over to the front-facing camera seems like a chore, why not get your Assistant to do it for you? Simply say: "OK Google, take a selfie," and Assistant with instantly open the camera app and start a 3-second countdown.

emember stuff: Always forgetting where you left your passport or always leave your hair straighteners on? You can ask Google Assistant to remember things you suspect you might later forget. Simple engage with the AI and tell it to remember something. You can pull up a list of everything you asked it to remember later, or even ask specific questions about things you might have forgotten.

ave you tried Google Assistant?

What are your favorite ways to use it?

Phones / Screenshot Editor On Infinix Note 6 by phonedaddy: 2:34pm On Aug 14, 2019
Well you must have heard abut the Note 6 by now. The note 6 is Infinix latest device with a stylus pen for your everyday business needs…..i am not going to bore with the usual features of the Note 6 but go straight down in detail to one key function you just haven’t imagined yet.

A screen shot editor

I am sure we all screenshot things on our phone, from documents, images even up to our favourite recipes and a whole lot more you can think of. The note 6 comes with an unblended ability to edit screenshot in comfort with the xpen.
Screen-capture editing is flexible, durable and adequately enhanced to ensure editing is liberalized across all fonts. In this mode, the stylus also functions as a screen capturing device.

The xpen can also perform Graffiti and text labelling functions even after screenshoting the object of interest.

Phones / 5 Simple Tips To Increase Smartphone Touchscreen Sensitivity by phonedaddy: 11:42am On Aug 14, 2019
Hello fam , Android smartphones users often complain about poor touch response even if they are using an expensive high-end mobile phone powered with latest android operating system. A Smartphone touch-screen becomes unresponsive in two scenarios - hardware fault or software issue. Hardware problems may not be easy to fix and usually require a replacement of the entire touch-screen. If the problem is software related, then it can be fixed by following some simple measures, applying patches or through few tweaks. Some of the ideal tips to improve the touch-screen sensitivity are discussed below.

1. Applying Calibration to device:
Major manufacturers provide a calibration tool within the phone to do a recalibration of touchscreen. If over time, you are observing degrading touch sensitivity or responsiveness, then recalibrate the touch screen to fix it. Since gravity and other factors affect the working of touchscreen, follow the instructions provided with calibration tool to do that properly. Recalibration is not a complicated procedure and can be easily performed by all. Most often than not, it will enhance the performance of your touch-screen.

2. Cleanse smartphone screen:
One of the frivolous reasons for diminishing sensitivity of smartphone's touch-screen is the grease and dirt that accumulates on it. Keeping your phone’s screen neat and tidy can also preserve it performance. Regularly cleaning it with soft-cloth or cotton-buds dipped in cleansing-solutions is the ideal way to eradicate the dirt and debris from the screen. Also, using some kind of protection like a screen-guard or screen-protector can keep your screen sensitive enough.

3. Using Thinner Screen Guard:
While various types of screen protectors and screen guards can be available for your phone, it is important to choose the one which does not hamper the sensitivity of the screen. Though thicker screen-guards give your screen better protection, they might also reduce its sensitivity. Choose the one that is thick enough to protect your phone’s screen, yet does not affect its performance.

4. Updating to the latest Firmware:
Latest updates bring fix to certain troublemaking parts of a software that were previously resulting in non-functioning or malfunctioning phone features or touchscreen. Phone manufacturers when release updates, users should install those updates to improve the performance of the phone and debug any software code problem which was left undone while creating it. If you are experiencing any touch related problem on your new phone, you should check for the updates and if available, apply them. There are great chances that if the problem is software related, the manufacturer is already aware of that has released a solution for it. In XOS you can check the latest update from Settings >> System >> System update

5. Avoid Hitting, Bending or Throwing Phone:
You should not use your phone to hammer nails in wood or tap on doors or desks. They are not meant for that. If you put a huge smartphone in your tight jeans or trousers pocket, make sure you pull it out before sitting or kneeling down or your actions may bend and damage the phone or phone touchscreen. Avoid throwing the phone or smashing it on the floor.
Hope you will find the aforementioned tips helpful, let us know your valuable opinion in the comment section.

Phones / Having Slow Internet Connection ? Fix It Now by phonedaddy: 10:17am On Aug 09, 2019
Today we will be talking about slow Internet connectivity Speed and how to fix it....

Have you ever wondered why your network is so slow? or seeing your friends browser very fast and your device is browsing at a very slow speed?
Imagine yourself looking at the mobile screen while you wait forever for websites to load? If yes, maybe it’s time to find out why your internet connection is so slow. There are many contributing factors to connectivity when using the Internet: it is not just about the type of your internet service provider, or the features of your smartphone - different issues can present various combinations of issues, causing trouble with your internet connection. Most commonly, internet connection speed is affected by types of Internet access, issues within your phone, or by external factors. Let's start to explore!

1. Crowded Network:

If you’re not the only person using your network, you’ll be sharing bandwidth. The pipeline between your devices and the internet is limited, and if a lot of devices try to send and receive a lot of data, they’ll have to take turns. This will slow down the internet for everyone connected. For Wi-Fi networks, numerous connected devices can also lead to a slowdown, as the Wi-Fi communicates with each device in turn.

2. Being far away from the router:

One simple reason why your internet may not be working as well as it should be is that you’re not in a great spot to pick up a Wi-Fi signal. If you’re far from the Wi-Fi router or have many walls, floors and lots of objects between your device and the router, you’ll probably have a poor connection that can slow down your internet access. Stone, brick and concrete walls will especially interfere with your signal, as can any device giving off its own wireless signal, like a smart home device. If you can carry your device somewhere else, this is an easy fix.

3. Issue with data plan along with speed:

Sometimes, your internet is slow because you’re only paying for slow internet. Log onto your provider’s website (or give them a call) and find out what plan you have. If you’re just paying for slow internet—and the best way to speed it up will be to upgrade.

4. Local congestion or ISP throttling:

Another reason you might be getting slow internet, and one that’s not easy to do anything about, is simply that there are tons of people using up the bandwidth available to your neighborhood. The area you live in doesn’t have an unlimited pipeline to the internet, and if a huge population is all on the internet at once, the congestion can slow down the internet. This probably won’t happen often, but when it does, you’re going to hate it.

5. Bandwith hogging due to background process:

It might not even be your neighbors that are stealing the bandwidth available to you. Let’s face it, our phones and electronic devices do a lot of stuff behind the scenes that we don’t even realize is going on. If you’re browsing the internet while the automatic update is turned on, your browsing may be slower than usual. To fix the automatic update of apps is recommended to be turned off. You may also clean up the unnecessary tasks from the task manager to get more free RAM.

6. Issues with DNS server:

When you type an address into your browser—like www.infinix.club —your phone uses something called DNS to look up and translate that into a phone-friendly IP address. Sometimes, though, the servers your phone uses to look up that information can have issues, or go down entirely. If your default DNS servers aren’t having problems, then you probably won’t find too much of an improvement with an alternative server—but it might speed up your browsing by a few milliseconds, at least.

Phones / 9 Creative Ways In Using Otg On Android Devices by phonedaddy: 4:14pm On Aug 08, 2019
USB On-The-Go (OTG) is certainly one of the exciting features of Andriod devices. A USB OTG compatible device (almost every android smartphone) is competent to act as a controller or a host of the other USB devices. Using SD card and other card readers on a smartphone are very common with OTG adapter. But are there different ways to use OTG adapters in an unusual manner? Let’s find out…

The USB OTG feature is available on almost every Android smartphone these days; however, older phones lack this feature. For unlocking the OTG capabilities, you will have to root and install a custom ROM on your Android device to get OTG compatibility.

Let’s head on the 10 least known functions you can perform using your OTG adapter.

1. Charge Other Smartphones

Believe this or not, you can actually transfer the battery charge of one smartphone to another using an OTG cable. Simply connect two phones- one with OTG dongle and other with power cable. The smartphone connected via power cable will go in charging mode and the phone connected with OTG adapter will be the power source.

2. Voice recording

Most of the digital cameras come with built-in microphones; still getting good quality sound out of it is a pain. You can use your Smartphone’s microphone to record audio clips on your Windows or Mac. You can attach your phone through OTG and utilise the phone’s microphone to record audio via PC software.

On the other hand, you can also connect professional USB microphones to your smartphone using OTG adapter.

3. Use Musical Instruments

Apart from just voice recording, you can compose your own music on smartphones. Musical instruments can be connected usually with Computer via MIDI standard.

Using OTG cable, you can connect your MIDI controllers to your smartphone via USB. To use the MIDI controllers properly, you will require downloading some application like TouchDAW and you are ready to be the next Beethoven.

4. Trigger the Gamer in you

Smartphone gaming is really a fun thing, though many prefer gaming consoles/controllers as they offer better control and functions. There are game controllers in the market which you can connect to your smartphone and take the gaming capabilities of your phone to a next level.

5. Use a Mouse or Keyboard

The other cool functionality you can add to your smartphone is to make use of USB mouse or USB keyboard. Typing on a touch screen might not a feasible option for many. Simply attach a USB keyboard to your phone using OTG adapter and enjoy the work.

6. USB Accessories

The USB accessories like a LED light, portable fan, and other works quite well with smartphones when connected via OTG. Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) like Xiaomi are offering a wide range of accessories you can use with your smartphone.

7. Use your Ethernet/LAN on smartphone

Wi-Fi is obviously a good option to access high-speed internet on smartphones. Still, the speed degrades as you move further from the Wi-Fi router. What if we could use our home broadband connection directly on a smartphone?

You can make this happen just by using an OTG cable and a USB Ethernet connector. Plug them both and enjoy the wired-connection your smartphone

8. Connect 3G/4G USB internet dongle

There was a time when USB internet dongles were the only portable and high-speed internet connectivity option. However, the internet dongles disappeared from the market as new options arrived. Most of us have a high-speed home broadband connection, but using a 3G dongle is quite a handy option.

9. Print directly from your smartphone

The normal printing process requires a computer to give prints. You have to transfer the files and documents to PC and then print them. But not anymore.

Connect the printer to your phone using a USB OTG cable. Install the PrintShareapp on your phone and it will automatically pick up the latest drivers for your USB printers. A simple tap on the print option on the app and it’s done.

Phones / Twitter Testing Snooze Button On Pause Notification by phonedaddy: 11:45am On Aug 08, 2019
Twitter is reportedly testing a new 'Snooze' button which enables the silencing of push notifications.

According to top tech blogger Jane Manchun Wong, the micro-blogging site have started trialling the new update on some accounts
Wong has explained that it works by shutting down notifications for three set times of one hour, three hours and 12 hours, ideal for those who want to take a small break from social media.

The app has only just launched it's "shiny" new desktop site.

As well as a new "updated look and feel" and the introduction of Dark Mode, the micro-blogging site also has a Bookmarks feature and they've moved Trends to the right hand side of the page.

You can also change the display colours around and an Explore feature has been added which has videos and local content defined by the user's location.

They said: "We are starting to roll out a new Twitter.com - a refreshed and updated website that is faster, easier to navigate and more personalised.

"The site has an updated look and feel that is more consistent with the Twitter you see on other devices."

One feature which still hasn't been implement by Twitter, but which many people have called for is an edit button.

The update came after new features including a new swipe gesture to allow people to like - or reply to - tweets, and thread labels to clearly identify the original poster and a way to view profiles while keeping you in your timeline were teased.

Twitter's Sara Haider said: "Our goal is to make conversations easier to understand, and with the new threaded layout, people told us they found conversations easier to follow and liked seeing more of the conversation.

"Hiding engagements in replies resulted in the most mixed reviews: While some found themselves focusing more on the conversation as opposed to the metrics, others felt that the extra step to tap made it harder to Like and Retweet replies.

"Some felt that replies can get crowded, especially in long conversations. Lengthy threads become harder to read due to indentation and too many "Show more" buttons.

"Most people prefer the twitter reply highlighting, but also expressed visibility issues in dark mode. There was overall support for replying on twitter, specifically with the ability to reply in one place within a conversation; yet at times, it was confusing who you're replying.
