If one of the apps on your Android device crash as soon as you launch it or maybe while you are using it, you can quickly fix this problem, with basic troubleshooting. This tutorial will show you three possible methods which you can apply on your Android device to repair the app and make it work without problems. To get started follow steps below: SOLUTION 1: RESTART YOUR DEVICE If the app crashes while you are using it, the first thing you should try is to pull out the battery from your Android device. This will perform a soft reset, and it will not erase the data from your device, but it can sometimes resolve the issues such as crushed apps. Once you pull the battery, return it back after 2-3 minutes and try the app. If the battery is irremovable, simply turn the phone off and then on. SOLUTION 2: UPDATE THE APP Make sure you check the Google Play store for latest updates for your app. To do that: Step1: Launch the Google Play app from your Android device and then tap on Menu Step 2: From the menu choose My Apps Step 3: In here you will see the list of all apps that needs to be updated. Tap on Update and wait until the update process is finished. SOLUTION 3: CLEAR THE CACHE Cache is the stored data that caters you later when the same type of request is processed. It can be the result of your previous requests, browsing or any other computation done on your device. When you use your favorite apps frequently, device collects the heaps of data that occupy unnecessary space and slows down the processor. When your app doesn’t get enough room or resources to launch, it crashes or freezes. To get the application its required space, you need to clear the caches on your Android. Follow the below steps and do it by yourself: Step 1: Launch ‘Settings’ Step 2: Tap on Apps (App Manager, Manage apps, depending on your device) Step 3: Find the app you’re having trouble with and tap on it. Step 4: Tap the button Clear cache. Step 5: Make it to ‘Force stop’ Step 6: Relaunch the application. SOLUTION 4: CLEAR APP DATA If cleaning the cache doesn’t help with your app crashing on Android, you can consider to clear the complete data of the app. However, it is going to impact your personal settings and configuration of the app, leading to reset. Once data is cleared, you’re going to start all over again from the beginning. If you clear the data for Facebook, you’re going to enter your username and password again. Similarly, if you do this to any of your game you’ve been playing, you’re going to lose all the settings, high-scores and other data. To clear the data of any app, follow the below steps: Step 1: Go to Settings Step 2: Tap on Apps Step 3: Next, tap on the app that is misbehaving Step 4: Tap Clear data and then tap Force stop. SOLUTION 5: REINSTALL THE APP If none of above solution worked for you, make sure yo uninstall the crashed app from your device. To do that: Step 1: From your home screen tap on Menu button and then choose Settings. Step 2: Tap Applications. Step 3: This is where you will see a full list of all available apps inside your Android device. Step 4: Tap on crashed app and then tap on Uninstall. Step 5: Once removal is complete, go to Google Play store again and install the same app again. |

The beautiful memories of those good old days is still very fresh in the head of so many people as they share their experience the Apps, Games and OS they enjoyed/rocked back then. It seems a whole lot of people are still in love with the Nokia Symbian OS, the Apps and it’s various interesting games such as:- Brother in Arms, Splinter Cell, Crash Bandicoot and other beautiful games and this pushed me to ask you all this question {:16_21:} If Symbian OS Was Still Around, Which Would You Accept Between It & Android? Does your phone’s battery life s..ck? If you’re always struggling with a short battery life, there are other ways that you can improve your smartphone’s battery life. There are several functions and tasks on your smartphone that can take up so much of your battery’s limited supply. Sometimes, the biggest battery power stealers aren’t always the most obvious. The following will discuss five of the worst — and most surprising — energy drainers. Apps Even if you never use them, apps can be a significant drain on your battery power. So, it makes sense to get rid of the apps that you rarely — or never — use. Use App Manager to quickly uninstall any apps that you no longer want on your device. This will save you from going through all of the apps on your device to locate the ones you no longer want. Widgets Weather, news, and social media widgets on your home screen are there to give you real-time updates. But did you know that these are also battery drainers? This is because they’re often vibrantly-colored and always syncing. If you don’t need a widget, you should press and drag it to the trashcan icon. Signal Search If you’re in a low-signal or a no-signal area, your phone doesn’t know what’s going on. If you let your phone function normally there, it will keep looking for a signal over and over again. To prevent your phone from draining its battery, flip it to Airplane Mode instead. Over- and Under-Charging Your phone’s battery functions the best if you keep it between 40% and 80% battery. Don’t let the phone’s charge drop below 40% — if you let the battery drop low and then recharge again to full, you’ll shorten the battery’s life overall. Additionally, don’t let your phone keep charging when it’s already full. Vibrating Vibrate mode is one of the worst settings for your battery life. Either turn your phone completely to silent or turn on the ringers. To change, head to “Settings” and “Sound,” and then uncheck “Vibrate for Calls.” If you navigate to “Language and keyboard,” you can also uncheck “Vibration feedback,” which is the vibration that happens when you type — another major battery drainer. |
Since 1973, the rise of cellular phones have been the fastest growing technology phenomenon ever. The technology that 95% of Americans have in their pockets are a huge part of everyday life. From being able to stay updated through email and social media, to using the GPS to drive to your next vacation, smartphones have changed their positioning from being a piece of tech to being a necessity for connections. As technology continues to advance, people regularly replace their cracked screens for the newest upgrade, throwing out a phone that simply needs a repair. With the large role that cellular phones have in our lives, it makes sense to not want to go a day without a working phone. When our phones don’t function, we don’t either. But why replace expensive technology when it can be repaired for less? Smartphone ownership has more than doubled in less than a decade. While 95% of adults aged 18-29 own a smartphone, many people own multiple smart-devices. Between 2010-2018, tablet ownership increased by sixteen times and one in five households owned at least three tablets. Smartphones and devices are everywhere around us. As Russell Clayton described it, technologies such as smartphones “are capable of becoming an extension of ourselves,” and can cause psychological effects when we are separated from or have broken them. When surveyed, two in three people admitted to anxiety when away from their phone. The anxieties are understandable considering how essential phones are to much of modern life. Other than being a tool to connect with and contact family and friends, many Americans use their smartphone to help when looking for work. Browsing job listings, contacting potential employers, filling out job applications, or even creating a resume are all made more convenient with the help of a smartphone. Mobile phones can also be critical in work performance with 52% of people unable to effectively do their job without their phone. A working smartphone is one that brings comfort to the user, and buying a brand new phone provides that same security. But even if they are a necessity to ward off anxieties or FOMO, upgrading costs continue to skyrocket. Americans throw away over 350,000 cell phones per day. The most common forms of damage are cracked screens, scratches, and battery malfunctions and 49% of damage comes from falling out of a pocket. While 48% of smartphone owners don’t like the look of screen protection on their phones, it may be a good idea to avoid accidental structural damage and not be one of the two American smartphone owners that break their screen every second. Phones that have dead or malfunctioning batteries also can interrupt everyday activities. It can lead to delayed departure to an event to charge, going home to charge phone, arguments with significant others over missed communication, and spending money at a restaurant solely to use their outlet. Some manufacturing flaws may be the reason for a poor phone battery, but oftentimes a battery malfunction does not require a completely new phone and can be replaced simply. It’s possible to save your phone while also saving yourself money. Next time your phone is broken, try repairing it yourself with the help of online tutorials. If the fix is too complicated, visit a repair shop. Saving the phone you already have saves you money while also decreasing the amount of electronic waste that comes from frequent upgrades and discarding. Our phones hold a lot of our lives within them - being smart and caring for them will cause you to not waste money on new models every year. |
Technology is one of the greatest invention of man and over the years, it has continued to improve and in some cases, become more complex. The introduction of technology has greatly impacted the way we use and interact with the natural world. Technology has changed and realigned the way we do a lot of things. Take for example, the way we read has been greatly influenced by technology. Traditionally, we read from paper backs and hard covers. These comes with some limitations such as you can’t read in the absence of light. But with the invention of pdf, epub and other e-book formats, reading is now much more easy and convenient. Now you can read for extended hours, anywhere and at any time. You can mark interesting places, just like you do on hard copy, you can have an e-library, you can not the last page and a lot more, just like you can do with hard copy. But with that improvement comes some lapses and short comings. One of such is that the eyes becomes affected after prolong staring at light from the screen of the mobile device. However, the Infinix S4 comes with a feature that solves the problem. The READ MODE. With this feature, you don’t have to worry about your eyes affected after extended usage of the mobile device. The Read Mode activates a shield shade of light that protects the eyes from damage. How to activate Read Mode Step 1: Go to Settings Step 2: Select Display Step 3: Scroll down to Read mode and click on it. Step 4: Toggle on the Read mode feature and it is activated instantly. P.S: You can get some apps to automatically activate Read Mode if you click on them. Just follow step 1-3 and select Auto enable for specific apps. Toggle on the apps you want and you are good to go. |

You have old chargers from all your old phones still lying around the house. Can you use these discarded chargers to power your brand-new phone? Consider this scenario: you’ve recently gotten a new phone, but you’ve lost the phone’s charger. Luckily, you have a couple of older chargers from your older phones. First, you should make sure your current phone’s battery is operating efficiently. You might wonder for convenience sake, will it harm my new phone’s battery to charge my device with an older charger? You want to consider several factors when determining if your old charger will effectively charge your new phone. Factors to Consider When Using Your Old Phone Charger Your new phone and your old charger are likely different voltages. New phones will likely recognize old chargers at lower voltages than the charger designed to go with the phone. However, the phone will adjust to the old charger’s voltage, meaning that the phone itself and the battery will not be harmed. However, since the phone is recognizing the voltage as low, it will also charge much more slowly than it would with its new charger. The problem with using an old charger, too, is that you’ll have to test its voltage if you don’t already know it. If you want to test your phone charger’s voltage, you’ll have to set up an experiment with a multimeter — an experiment that is likely more trouble than it’s worth. It is recommended that if you lose your current charger, you replace it with the charger specifically designed for your phone model for faster charging. So, what are you supposed to do with all those old phone chargers lying around? If you’re a mechanically-minded person, you could wire up the old charger to power a homemade thermostat. Of, if you don’t want to work on a mechanical project, you could always head to Best Buy. Each location has a bin near the door where you can drop off old chargers or batteries, and they will recycle them for you. Before you go, check Best Buy’s website to make sure they’ll take what you’re trying to recycle. Be warned that you can only recycle so many electronic items per day. |

The dark mode is getting increasingly popular as an accessibility option among users, everyone seem to be activating the dark mode on their twitter, whats-app and other regular apps on their phone. What is so special about this dark UI setting? ![]() Why do you like the dark mode ? |
The pop-up display is slightly narrower and looks to sport a smaller panel. It is unclear what the secondary display is capable of doing as it is just in the patent stage. Despite the sliding panel, the front camera and sensors are placed within the narrow top bezel giving users two complete displays with no notches or punch holes. Unlike a pop-up camera which is really only designed to do one thing, a pop-up screen would seem to offer a much wider range of possibilities. The extra display could be used as playback controls for music or movies, a physical drawer for displaying all your apps, or even a superpower notification tray. On phones with a screen that extends out to the side, that bonus display could be used to support on-screen controls while gaming so your hands don’t cover up valuable screen real estate in titles like Fortnite or PUBG Mobile. What Are Your Thoughts On Pop Out / Sliding Displays ? |

) how to manage blank screen calls. A situation where a call comes in and all of a sudden the screen goes blank, or when you make a call, the screen goes blank. on the received call, you don't see the answer button because the screen is blank, or when you initiate a call you don't see end button because the screen is blank, the problem is an obstruction on the proximity sensor, and the major culprit here is 3D, 5D glass screen protector (A below), the one that fully covers the phone screen, but firstly, where is the proximity sensor, its in between the selfie cam and blue notification led light, what it does is to blank the screen so that your ears don't press an option on the screen, you "might" consider using the cut out screen protector (B below), it doesn't cover the top of the screen which houses the front flash, selfie cam, proximity sensor and LED notifier. But my advice; *If you will have to use the full screen 3D/5D screen protector, get a good one *and if you still experience blank screen on calls, just wipe the proximity sensor with your finger, it will come on. *NB* this for only those having this problem on note 5, don't know about other models |
