Everything is having Hope mindset to keep you going when you feel like giving up. Some atheists are making it on this same earth without prayer. Hustle without prayer is even better than prayer without hustle. |

zrealjaheal: My whole life I have left this country thrice... birthed in france (story for another day)
Now when I saw things were about falling apart I decided to run to Germany... noted : money wasn't the issue then but I was denied. . Tried SA was granted but I had to consult (by consult went to a prophet) he said why I was rejected for Germany was because I was living a wayward life. That I should put SA on hold and try Sweden(got no one in SA but I do have folks in Sweden)
Na so I enter better fasting.. shanked all the so called wayward life. Had to move down to the church sef make temptation no get the best of me lol
No embassy swedish embassy then you have to go submit your documents at ikoyi vfs. .
The day I was suppose to pick up my visa ... Bro I was denied again. . Nearly ran mad.. and thus time money done finish. .
Went to the prophet told him the outcome
He said "Take heart my son God knows best for everything there is reason"
I just jejely waka comot after he was done with prayers head to the nearest bar got my soul filled
Really eh story too much. . If you had gotten the visa, you would have worshipped the pastor as a true man of God. That is how religion work. Out of 100 people you tell “All will be well” , 30 will experience turnaround not necessarily because of the prayer, the remaining 70 that experience failure you tell them God knows best. The successful 30 will give testimony and draw another 100 people to the church and the cycle continues. Religion is truly the opium of the masses. There is always an answer for every situation. |

Life is random. Some are born whole, some are born deformed. Some are born to live a star life, some average life. Some move from grass to grace, some grace to grass. It’s all randomness. Better to just work with what has been given you and hope for the best. If you are not born with an atom of musical talent, no amount of prayer can make you a musician. Believing in God and prayer is what makes a poor man have ten children in faith that all will be well. |

I did make contacts, initially I wanted to start if as a broker or but when I went deeper I realized that I need even more money to do the business.

To varing degrees, we've all been victims of our ignorance and superstitions... sometimes, at the hands of crooked men (eg. clergies and spiritualists) who exploited these things.
Good thing is you are now awake. God is nonexistent; we are on our own; and there is no supernatural force from anywhere coming to bail anyone out. Cheers! Everything i learnt about God i was told. Martinez39s: There is no god. Humans are on their own and left to their devices. No god is coming to save anyone. Know this and know peace. The energy some use in praying can be better utilized elsewhere. The only advantage of religion is that you become part of a community and they can share your burden. At least in some churches if you make yourself useful they can help you with food, cloth or job connection. Better to attend church with a business mindset and look for who will help you there than spending hours praying on your knees. |

Sochieke: 3 years ago I was basically a King from 2018 to 2019. I was doing my MBA in Zurich Switzerland, the most expensive city in the world. I was young at 24 to 25 years. Before that I was in Malaysia doing a levels and Bsc between 2010 and 2017 plus gap years I took.
Malaysia is less expensive than Switzerland but its not really that cheap because I lived in the capital (Kuala Lumpur). 2 of my sisters were also studying together with me. All financed by my father
All funded by my late father. My school fees in switzerland was 33,000 swiss francs and 25,000 swiss francs for living expenses for 1 year. Together everything then was about almost 40 million naira for a year.
While I was there I didn't try to find a job until it was too late (permit was expiring). Before that I'd never worked a day in my life before.
Basically I lived a life of luxury and everything came crashing down
I left switzerland in December 2019, didn't finish my MBA. No funds. Dad's burial took almost everything . family was in so much debt. Its crazy
Dad died few days I was supposed to leave for switzerland (he was old enough 95 years).
Anyway countdown three years later. I'm doing POS business in Lagos. I tried dispatch business but I stopped after 6 months unable to find quality riders and the Daily headaches.
Back to your question on grace to grass.
I used to travel a most every 2 weeks when I was in Switzerland. I've been to France, Germany, London, Dubai for holidays before and now I do a POS business. Its funny because i could be insulted by people wey never cross third mainland bridge before in tjis POS business but it makes me laugh though. I don't beat myself up.
If I tell people say I from.Switzerland, dem no go believe.
Tried to get a job but no positions.
I regret certain things I did. I was too comfortable that I didn't even try to get a job until it was too late.
I regret certain actions. I wished I could change things but I've moved on. Om working hard to see what I can do to rebuild. I believe if God gives me life I can go back to my former lifestyle with improvements
I'm trying to see if I can go back cheaper place like Canada or others, getting help from sister.
Picture attached was my swiss visa. This story get as e be o!!!! Your dad must have been stingingly rich. Didn’t he leave a will? Properties, investments?. What about your relatives or was your dad the only rich man in his family? |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: I Damned My Director Over Incomplete Payment Of Allowance. by Phraences: 4:29pm On Aug 26, 2022 |
Halo22: I have been working in this company for about 8 years now and to be frank, I don't see any much improvement both financially and otherwise.
In addition to that, I noticed some degree of negligence and disregard for old staff, it seems the more years you spend in the company, the less value you accrue. However, I attribute that to the administrative incompetence of the Director who took over from the mum before she( the mum) finally joined her ancestors.
Recall that in April this year, she fired the General manager without any explanation to the rest of the staff, no staff meeting nor briefing. Shortly after that, she reshuffled the managerial team and employed 3 unknown persons who were never part of the company to take over the Management of the company, while she still remains the Director.
All these she did without any form of recourse to her old staff. I never bothered as an old staff until recently, when we started noticing some more incompetency in administration and management of the company. It rose to the extent that workers receive half salary sometimes without any briefing, allowances are not being paid and when they pay, they short pay us.
I couldn't hold it any longer as a man of justice and as such, I wrote to the Director after having meeting with the new GM. In my letter I expressed on behalf of other workers, the feelings of maltreatment and administrative Injustice, as most of them are afraid of opening up, to avoid being sacked.
Then after, the Director herself called for a general meeting and instead of to apologise for all these financial and managerial malfeaseances, she chose to tackle the old workers particularly myself, thinking that we were working against her. I still stood my ground on the path of Justice, finally she tried to pacify the workers by promising a salary increase, based on the number of years spent in the company. But then, I have been on her watchlist all through.
Any little mistake I make, she would capitalize on that to weigh me down. I now seek ur opinions, whether to continue in the company or resign. Good a thing, I have a business that even pay me better than the job.
Your opinions please. You should have tread softly until you got another job. Before embarking on a battle, you study your opponent. Tackling a vindictive woman direct was not really wise. If you have side business that can sustain you, you can resign immediately. If not, get a job and leave. The way you wrote to Mgt sef when everyone else was afraid of getting sacked, be like say you get some small connection sef. |

POTUS9ja: My brother please listen to me. I'm a bakery owner and a master baker here in Uyo. I started the business in 2015. After I trained in the Living Faith Church Headquarters (Canaanland) Bakery and other local bakeries at Ota. After my training, I did not have the funds to start; so what I did will shock you. I started buying loaves from Canaanland and flying them via plane to Uyo to sell. That was how passionate I was. Who does that? Lol!
I eventually started my bakery small scale and within a year, it grew to become one of the best three brands in Uyo City. My secret was quality and good customer relations.
See enh! A lot is required of you if you must go into this business. This decision is not to be taken lightly. There are a mile-long reasons I can give you why you must not just saunter into it. Get yourself a professional for advice. You must know the enormity of the task ahead.
I speak this way from personal experience as an owner, baker and Consultant in this business.
But if I must give my candid and undiluted advice; now is NOT a good time to enter this business. As I speak to you, I have closed my factory for months now. Almost 40% of my colleagues have done same too.
This is Uyo I'm taking about. I don't know of your own base. Generally speaking, there has been a serious downturn of the business. Bakery business is lucrative despite it's huge challenges. But the reality on ground now is that we are no longer making money the way we used to. Why do you think the National body of Master Bakers have threatened to go on strike? Our materials are so costly now that we can no longer make profits. You will attest that prices of bread have hit the roof. As a result people can no longer afford bread as before. Consequently, sales have dropped for the few factories still managing to produce.
You will also notice that the quality of the bread you used to buy has dropped drastically. This is the only way the bakers can manage to make a little profit.
Personally I have refused to alter my quality just because I want to make sales. I have come too far to lose my position in the market. I reckoned that I rather take a hiatus than to temper with my bread quality that is so beloved by many.
I am not discouraging you o! But please seek the input of experienced practitioners or consultants.
If you were here in Uyo or neighbouring towns, I would have gladly helped.
Goodluck Amigo! The best advice comes from people who are in the business. When people are running away from the business, is that the right time to start? Better to have everything on ground so when things stabilize you hit the ground running. Not jumping into it now. |

LoveUdie: My wife and I have been married for 6 years and have a son who is 4 years old. She confessed to me that she has been having an affair for “about a year” with a guy from church and is around 6 weeks pregnant based off when she had her last period. The last time we had sex was yesterday, before that the last time was maybe 4 months ago. She told me that she pretty much only had sex with me because she thought maybe she could make it seem like the baby is mine.
From what I understand, she hasn’t told her affair partner that she is pregnant. She showed me the last texts between them (it looked like there were some that were deleted). He asked her to call him when she could, and he replied with she needed some space from him and to not contact her anymore. She told me she will end it officially with him and was crying begging me to forgive her. I told her that I needed space and went into our bedroom and locked the door (which is where I am now). I could hear her sobbing a little while ago but it sounds like she’s stopped.
I posted on relationship_advice and a lot of the replies were validating but not helpful for the kind of advice I need right now. I’m going to have to face her tomorrow morning and our son will be there. I don’t know what to say to her. I know he’s only 4 and I don’t know how much of this he will remember but I never want him to see me speak to his mother with anything except respect. I grew up with divorced parents who hated each other and I don’t want that for him. I don’t know how I feel about her right now, I’m too angry but I’m pretty sure things aren’t salvageable. A Nigerian man asking advice about his wife’s infidelity? Lmao. Anyway, your child will survive if you part ways. |

If successful, act relieved and happy. Behave well. Buy goodies for the family. Defend her furiously if attacked by nosy friends/family. Allow sufficient time to pass so you won't be suspected (months).
