Again this is my real name. What is your name?

ALL my family live in the USA, I brought ALL of them including my mother and ALL my siblings....a long time ago. If the USA was so bad, I wouldn't have done that. My wife worked for a major American oil company in Nigeria, she left it and joined me here and today tells me she wished she had left Nigeria a long time ago.

By the way, I attended an FGC in the 1980's in Nigeria with the children of the elites. I could reel out some big names. Most of them are out here in the USA and UK with me. Why would such people leave Nigeria if it was such a wonderful place to live?

Back in 1984, migration was called doing ANDREW, like it's called JAPA today. Back then President Buhari himself was begging Nigerians to stop DOING ANDREW but all his own children were living in UK and Spain, attending even primary school there. Today he's always in London.

THE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA basically lives his whole life abroad so who is the MUGU that thinks Nigeria is better than the UK? Your President thinks otherwise! Check Tinubu and Atiku and top politicians, their families are all likely here with me....again I attended University with some of them right here in the USA, as in the same campus at the same time.

Why are they running away from Nigeria and who is the MUGU that will remain and build Nigeria for them? That should be THE END of any argument.

I moved back to Nigeria in 2011 and I know what I saw. Yes, dead bodies on MAJOR ROAD for WEEKS. You know it happens in Nigeria and there's no way it can happen in the USA or UK.

Stop discouraging people from migrating. Nigeria is a terrible place for BOTH rich and poor. That's the truth and you know it.

Most people would leave Nigeria if they could but money never complete as is the situation in my own case. Going to UK through school route is expensive for some people. Canada’s point system keeps getting higher and the more you age the more you are at a disadvantage.

The surest route is through study. So people without enough finances are left in Nigeria to struggle and make do until finance is complete. Hopefully the UK or Canada don’t close their borders by then.

I mentioned Ado Ekiti and not Lagos....Comprehend before u reply? Secondly who told u it was not located in a high brow area? I will say again; there are a lot of factors associated with business in Nigeria and you need to have a holistic scoping if all your SWOT(Strength, weakness, opportunity and Threats) before advising people about entrepreneurship. You small boys here talk as if Business success is automatic GBAM if u start a business venture in Nigeria. Even in advanced economies where the economic climate is stable businesses still fail not talkless of an unstable environment like Naija where u have to provide your own diesel, security etc ...

The N15 million that writer used to process UK admission will most likely have gone down the drain if he has used it for business in Nigeria. That is the truth. Nothing is cast in stone over there. All u "know it alls" that are insulting him/her, let me tell u something, he didn't lose money. He will recover that money here within 18 months if he knows what he is doing. I am a testimony to that. I took the decision to leave Nigeria for a while to come and study here in Aberdeen and by the grace of the merciful God I have recouped the money we spent as my wife works from home as an HR Administrator and does contracts by supplying catfish berbecie to the African community. I too just recently started working as an I.T Business analyst. And we have one kid.
I was just laughing reading comments by all u kids who thinks u know it all about the UK but in reality does not know JACK. That people work in warehouse or security has never been our portion. I like the stability and certainty that these environment provides beyond all the short term gains u people think u are making in Naija.
Ask yourselfs with all the so called business ideas u have how come most Nigerian founded companies hardly survives up to 30, 40, 50 years Come to Scotland here and see family run businesses that have lasted 7 generations and still whasking strong..... I will get there too when I fully settle down. Businesses that can stand the test of time...

Easy to succeed on paper. Reality is different. If it was easy, everyone would be an entrepreneur.

Nigerian should just let this case go. The only people winning are the lawyers. Can’t imagine the millions of dollars they have made from this case. They have probably been giving FGN false hope.

Op don't listen to this advice. Don't waste your time chasing rainbows and unicorns. Don't jeopardize your health by waking up by 12am or doing night vigil. Waste of time. If you are going to church, go there and join a society then ask for help from the pastor or congregation. Don't waste spit binding and casting!!!

Once in a lifetime, a man must face challenges. The problem is that you didn't plan your life well. You relied on your job for sustenance and it disappointed you. Meta(Facebook) just laid off 11,000 employees. Should they attribute it to their wives? Life happens! It just threw you a curve ball. It is either you make it or it mars you.

For one, stop running to those pastors and spiritualists. They will end up making a dicey situation worse.

Also, some people early in life make mistakes that take long to correct. Immediately you got job you rushed to marry and give birth. Probably no long term financial planning or education.

And if you are finding things hard, how about your wife, doesn't she have job?

I will advise any man today to make sure his wife is working and is somewhat ambitious before getting married. You shouldn't have to shoulder all of life's burden on yourself.

I married very early, that Is five years ago, immediately i started working. Immediately we gave Birth to our first child, I was sacked from my place of work in a mysterious way. All our house equipment was sold, we left a comfortable apartment to a single room.

At a time, I was doing menial jobs just for us to feed. One day, in the process of seeking for solution to get my job back, I got to a church, and the pastor asked me to come with my wife, which I did, to my surprise, the pastor asked my wife, why are you afraid for your husband to have money? You are thinking if he makes money he will marry other women, he said pls pray for your husband to succeed, he is bigger than this.

And he asked my wife to come back for deliverance, but she refused.

Secondily, I went to another place, a spirituallist, and a female, she said I married wrongly, that the girl I was supposed to marry I missed it. She said I should come with my wife, and I did, she said my wife has another spirit, that she feels the marriage will not last...but till today, nothing I put hand dey work, most times we live together but never discuss together, we just live like strangers at home, and most time I regret getting married. I don't really know what to do now, I can't support my parents like before, they are not happy with me...

Power of the mind. You have allowed unwarranted fears to take over you. Forget all these false prophets. Sit down and do an analysis of your life. Forget the spiritual that cannot be seen and focus on the physical. Do a self evaluation to understand what could be the problem. What job where you doing before? Do you have the required degrees? If not do you have any entrepreneurial skill? Have you asked for referrals from friends, family and strangers?

Also, never forget that people are going through a lot in this Nigeria. Some people have graduated from school for years without a job.

There's nothing spiritual about your situation. It's not unique. Just double your hustle and stop reading meaning into everything. Control your mind.

The worst form of discrimination is when people who look like tell you to go back to your state whereas both persons are citizens of the country with the highest number of poor people in the world! I would rather have the Mayor of Tokyo tell me to leave Tokyo and return to Nigeria than stay in Lagos and have Obafemi Hamzat tell me to return to my state. Let someone who is rich tell me to leave his place than a fellow poor person do the same.

Until most of you in this section understand that simple economics dictate people's moves, you will keep creating mumbo-jumbo threads upandown. I recall a thread a black Brit lady did on Twitter whining about racism in the UK and looking for countries where blacks are not racially discriminated. Almost all of the suggestions were white dominated countries! No black person mentioned a black-dominated country for this lady and others who might be interested in moving to. Those who suggested African countries were white men obviously mocking blacks for not having a functioning and prosperous country to call theirs. So you see?! People would always put their economic interests FIRST when making a decision.

Again, if the abroad don tire una, book the next available flight to anywhere that is black-dominated, and while at that, let go of your Canadian/British/American/European citizenship.

I get the thread opener's point and i get yours as well. In life you just have to get used to seeing faces different from yours. 500 years from now there might not be pure white people again. Everyone might just be mixed race. Black gene is stronger than white gene. There are some white people that are against immigration and multiculturalism because they feel the white race is dying. It is inevitable. Uk in the 80s and 90s would have been a cool place. But when there is influx of different cultures, you will start seeing issues. Arabs for example have their own ideology and related issues. There was a time there were reports of honor killings, sex slavery etc going on in some neighborhoods in UK.
I like Canada's immigration policy though. The people entering the country are more sane.

The UK as well as Belgium (and to some extent France) are the countries I went to and felt sorry for them, like seriously. I will get angry if I see more white/Asian/Arab faces in Nigeria than black faces. For example in Antwerp, there are more Arab-looking people than white Belgians. Brussels and Liege are mixed of people from everywhere, especially Africans and middle-eastern. Belgium is really small and densely populated with 12M people (Niger state is bigger than Belgium at least twice), so the demographic changes are very visible.

Also with the UK. The foreign faces in major cities are so much, and many of these immigrants don't speak English, and perhaps, looks like they won't integrate. I ordered food with uber eats twice in London, and the guys that brought my food with a bike don't speak English. I feel like the UK has committed social suicide. With the way immigration is going, whites will be a minority within the century if caution is not taken.

And the UK doesn't have land, which makes it worse. It is too small of a place, from the roads to the houses, and parks. No wonder they annexed Northern Ireland, and don't want to return it lol.

That's why some countries don't support multiculturalism. Because people don't want to integrate. They want to import their deadass culture and religious extremism along with them.

hehe brother let me tell you something. there used to be a time wheN the UK was very sweet. i would not even lie to you and that era was the pre- internet days. you see the beauty of the UK back the was that
1--- the world was not yet commercialized. it was strictly about culture and fun ad having a great time. nobody was worried about money or making lots of it because everything was cheap. and also back in those days you could find like five of us naija guys sharing a flat and it was just fun and party all throughout and like all of us were british citizens back then ( yeah those who used to come pre-internet were mostly british citizens ) so we used to get all kinds of benefits so we didnt really have bills lol. just party life
2--- also what made the UK sweet back then was because there was no internet to tell you what it looked like, so you enjoyed it so much more because its like you are stepping into a world that you have never experienced before. there were no ppictures of what to expect and so it wasnt cheapened ( no see finish ). it was all a mystery. now everything is on the internet
3---the caliber of naijas in the uk back then was quality guys and girls. now na every tom dick and harry oooo lol
4----also the fact that the nigerian market was not open back then and so there was no uk goods in naija and so when we went to naija with our uk clothes everyone looked at us like celebrities. like peoppple would be admiring your uk baffs. of course today there is even no need to go to the uk because everything in the uk can be bought in nigeria now so that aspect of it has also being cheapened. like there are levis and nikes and every shop in the uk in any mall in naija now. like you can be in naija and baff better than someone in the uk now. and so there is no need to go to the uk again. ust buy your baffs in naija and flex
5------ like i said earlier the uk was not commercialised heavily back then but now its all about money. now they can even tax you for the air you breath if they can get away with it. its like the fun has been sucked out of the country and it is now all about survival

This is an interesting point of view.

A country that glorifies yahoo and acquisition of wealth by all means, worshipping of the rich, obviously people will see nothing wrong with Tinubu acquiring money through these means. They know in their heart he is guilty but they don't care whether because of tribalism, foolishness or what they stand to gain. Some might choose to overlook because they feel he has changed and he will make Nigeria to be as industrious as Lagos state.

Not everyone can run a biz and this is a fact.

We all have our gifts - boxing, singing, football etc. And only a fragment can start something from scratch and make a fortune out of it.

With 20m, there are many things I can do with the money and make a fortune.
You can easily setup a 10m palm oil refinery that refines palm oil to vegetable oil and the market is hugeeeeeeee
You can set up a farm with irrigation and plant all year round etc

You will be shocked how quick the 20m will finish with all these things you are saying here!!
