afroxyz: All these things are available and (would be exposed to you) if you take the TIME to STUDY and READ. Nobody came with technical analysis from his/her mothers womb. They applied themselves to learn the process.
Wall street has many retired army captains, ex-football players, people who hate maths or studied in unrelated discplines such as sociology become portfolio managers and analysts.
Mentorship is good, but even your mentor would be frustrated with you if you do not show initiative and growth. But what most people want is to be spoon fed with stock picks. How long can you go betting with someone's ideas? Even Jim Cramer has made many bad calls. Thats why when people post here they always tell you to conduct DD.
Sharing of ideas like we do here (or on telegram groups) is good, but you can only improve based on the quality of ideas being exchanged. Quality can only grow based on the depth of knowledge. A knowledge's depth is a function of experince and teserach.
Warren Buffet and Charlie Munger learnt from Benjamin Graham, but im pretty sure they did not wait for him to spoonfeed them. They even perfected his strategies sef. True. I know if take the time to learn Technical Analysis i will get it. But that is the problem. TIME. I have been learning little by little but this bull market we are in will not last forever. That's why i appreciate people like OakPearl who share their stock picks freely. If you don't know, follow those that know until you know. |

Coolcash1: As economists have said that human wants are insatiable but resources are scarce. You wish to be inside every promising stocks on the Wall Street but funding is a major constraint.
When I peruse news, research reports, charts of listed stocks and I spot opportunities everywhere I feel like chasing all...but resources are limited
It implies that opportunity lost can be regained in multiple folds because there exist loads of other opportunities to jump on. Thus, No need to wail over missed or little profits.
To leverage multiple opportunities, adopt investment diversification strategy by having a slice of each or rank them all and go for the ones with good risk to reward benefits.
As a general rule, consider market sentiment and news catalyst when the objective is short to medium term play. To gauge sentiments, price and volume are the lead indicators. Check if price is in an uptrend supported with volume (positive market sentiment) or in a downtrend (negative market sentiment). Understanding these principles help in shaping one’s entry and exit to have a profitable trade. In this life you need money to make better money. Imagine a stock doing 100% and you only have $50 in that stock. Joy and sadness at the same time. |

I am new to this Dom account issue. You mean you had to get the dollars outside? The bank doesn't convert naira for you? Updated. I have seen the answer from Willie2015. Thanks. |

Willie2015: Even with a dom account... U stlll have to source for your dollar at black mkt rate... Some of us are also not living in state capital... Sourcing dollar is a major challenge..... I use all the the options Naira Card , Wallet Africa Virtual Card and Dom Account. Forgive my ignorance but I need clarification. When you want to fund your dollar account, is it not to transfer to the Bank in naira and they will use their bank rate to convert it for you? |
Investment › Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by Phraences: 11:28pm On Jan 19, 2021 |
Get a domiciliary account. Or use Wallet Africa virtual dollar card. Factor the high exchange rate into your profit and move on.
Also, focusing on Trading212 and funding issues might prevent one from taking advantage of good stocks that are on Bamboo, Trove, Chaka.
So try not to miss the forest for the trees. |

earnvest: I don't know who needs this, but an easy way to fund your T212 account is via wallets.africa: you create a wallets.africa account and get to have your own Wema and Rubies accounts into which you can make Naira deposits. You can then create a virtual dollar-based debit card which you can use on T212. I did same and have been able to deposit $10 to my T212 account and withdraw same from T212 to my virtual debit card. Their exchange rate is the only snag as it is quite high. I use this as well. Exchange rate is high. The best is to get a domiciliary account and get a dollar card. But Wallet Africa is a good alternative. |

Mcslize: You right. I was pained that my note 8 was stolen. I just like the size of the note 8 and the body design. Their design is becoming terrible every passing release. The way they position the camera and the overall size is just so not as attractive as some of the past ones.
I think they should stick to between 6" to at most 6.5".
They are becoming too cumbersome to hold and carry about. True. I don't know why they can't compress everything into a smaller size. |

Tobex4realTobex234: Lol how is this different from what I had already said. Please note that a USD card issued to you by Access Bank or any Nigerian bank doesn't qualify. Only US cards issued by US banks get that luxury of getting USD back into their card.
As per Barter, I haven't tried that yet and do not know how it works.
Please let's only advise ourselves here based on real experiences not assumptions. Na something wey I don do wey wipe away my stocks profit so. And mind you that only my non-Nigerian USD card received actual USD. Prove me wrong that your Nigerian USD card received actual USD Ma? See this. I got it from Trading212 site as well. "Note 2: If the deposits were mainly issued via bank transfers, and you'd prefer to have the funds allocated back to the same account, then please do not hesitate to reach us. Our team will review each inquiry, and a fair outcome will be provided**." |

Tobex4realTobex234: I don't know anything about Passfolio.
To answer your 2nd question, if you open a dorm account and you fund via transfer, they will pay your deposit back to the dorm account but I haven't tried this before. Because even though I have done deposit via bank transfer, T212 doesn't allow me choose where I want to withdraw to, they always just send to my Nigerian card by default.
My advice is that never be tempted to use a Nigerian card on T212, stick to dorm transfers. Also find out the fees associated with dorm transfers. Do enough research before making final decisions. Na wa o. Imagine funding with 470 and withdrawing at 380. Maybe you should send them a mail that you want withdrawals transferred to your dollar account. |

bastardson: Have you tried it before? Tobex stated that we should always recommend what we have used before.. If we also decide to use Bater? Which exchange rate does bater use at paying back? I have not used it to fund. But i just got it now and i was able to add it successfully to my Gpay so i know i will be able to fund with it. As for withdrawal, since it is a dollar card, Trading 212 should transfer dollars then withdrawal on the Barter App would be done at their exchange rate. Deposit on Barter right now is at $1/N475 and withdrawal is at N465.50/$1. I have not intiated a withdrawal for now. UpdateBarter does not work for Trading 212
