What is more absurd is that Emeka (Igbo) born and bred and educated in Kano cannot claim quota system and educational less developed status. However, Abdul (Hausa or any other Northerner), born and bred in Enugu can claim quota system and educational less developed state.

Why is it that, among the elites in Nigeria, in marriages between North and South, the bride is usually from the South and the groom from the North? Why is it rare to see a groom from the South and a bride from the North among the Nigerian elites?

Exciton:

Lol. Your statement implies Fulani are the only ones capable of rearing cows.

This inefficiently run business of theirs wouldn't survive modern day competition. Nothing stops southern state governments to go into pig, cow, poultry etc farming on a large scale.

The only reason these fuckers are in business is because southerners are foolish people who would rather fight each other than come together and work towards a sustainable knowledge based society.

I am a southerner. I agree with your statements above that nothing stops southern state governments to go into large scale cattle farming. I also agree with you that southerners are very foolish despite having more western education than the northerners.

Economicly the northern region is lagging region currently and always has been. That won't change anytime soon. Look at per capita gdp numbers, education, and polio outbreaks and secruity challenges. Change for better will come for their own sake.

I completely agree with you that the north is lagging in education, economy etc. They are lagging economically because they have children indiscriminately. The main reason they have children indiscriminately is to dominate in census, thereby dominating politically. The grazing reserves being proposed is being planned to use to dominate the economy. It is a matter of time that they will dominate everything in Nigeria if the grazing reserves are allowed in the south.

Politics / Federal Allocation For The Month Of July 2016 by Physicist(m): 11:40pm On Jul 25, 2016
The thirty-six states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja have collected a whopping N673.324billion as their share of statutory allocation and first tranche of the excess crude earnings distribution for the period.

According to a report by ThisDay, a document from the office of the Accountant-General of the Federation titled: "Distribution of Statutory Allocation and Excess Crude Proceeds to the three tiers of Government in July 2016" showed that five of the states: Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Akwa Ibom and Kano, catapulted themselves to the two-digits wrung with each carting home between N10 billion and N25 billion.

Similarly, Nasarawa and Ekiti States received N4.508 billion and N4.732 billion respectively. Other states which also got huge amounts from the distribution include: Ondo with N9,060,035,806.15 Lagos state got N8,299,806,965.06 Kaduna state got N7,654,995,396.83 Imo state got N7,366,417,410.84 Borno state got N7,276,602,098.96 Niger state got N7,151,791,231.47 Jigawa state got N7,048,660,361.35

Leading the pack, Rivers state got a grand total of N25,883 billion which is made up of N10.138 billion from 13 per cent derivation, N12.803 billion from excess crude, N1.39 billion from statutory allocation and another N1.5 billion excess crude for local governments in the state.

Similarly, Bayelsa state received N7.97 billion from the 13 per cent derivation account as well as N10 billion from excess crude account. The state also had its accounts credited to the tune of N538 million for its councils and another N597.7 million excess crude for the same councils in the state.

In total, the state smiled home with a whooping grand total of N19,197,410,863.92. In the same vein, Delta State which garnered a total of N18.622billion, had its share broken down thus: 13 per cent derivation N6.977 billion; excess crude N8.734 billion; statutory allocation for local governments N1.379 billion and excess crude distribution to the councils N1.531 billion.

This is the first of such payments as states will continue to enjoy this windfall over the next several months. The fourth highest beneficiary and another oil producing state of the Niger Delta, Akwa Ibom, has its breakdown as follows: statutory allocation N6.458 billion, excess crude distribution N8.065 billion, statutory allocations for state councils N1.569 billion while the excess crude account for councils was credited with a whopping N1.738 billion. In total, the state got N17,831,804,082.85.

The only non-oil producing state that garnered over N10 billion was Kano. It got N10.776 billion and was distributed as follows: statutory allocation N2.44 billion; excess crude N2.7 billion, statutory allocation for its 44 councils, N2.669 billion and excess crude to same accounted for N2.959 billion.

Conversely, the FCT, Gombe, Ebonyi, Nasarawa and Ekiti States went with the least allocations of between N73.3 million and N4 billion . While the document further showed that the FCT got its accounts credited to the tune of N673.324 million, Gombe State became richer with M4.435 billion lumped into its accounts.

onatisi:

Bros ,you still don't understand the problem.
Firstly, no west African country allows u to receive dollars through Wu or money gram except you have a domiciliary account.
Secondly, the scenario you made was stopped years and years back.
Thirdly, western union and money gram work with local banks both to receive and pay,and the problem now is these banks simply dont have the dollars . Western union doesn't send physical dollars cash to nigeria

Hi onatissi, I do not want to argue with you. If you have time, you can contact Western Union and Moneygram. Western Union and MoneyGram will confirm to you they are willing, ready and able to pay in Dollars in Nigeria. They will confirm to you that Federal Government and CBN directed them to stop paying in Dollars. If you read Minister of Finance statements on allocation, you will see something called Exchange Gain. Those are the declared exchange gain. The remaining profit from exchange gain is looted. Thank you.

Where will the bank get the dollars to give to recipients?
Bros,it seems you dont know what is happening.

Thank you onatisi for your contribution. The banks can get the dollars from the dollars sent by people living abroad. Western Union and Moneygram are ready and willing to pay Dollars to Nigerians directly. I sent money through Western Union and MoneyGram many times in the past and the recipients were able to receive them in dollars in Nigeria. CBN later directed WesternUnion and Moneygram to stop paying in Dollars in Nigeria. CBN was and is buying the Dollars from Moneygram and WesternUnion at a lower rate. CBN and Nigerian banks are making huge amounts of money from remittances abroad thereby shortchanging the recipients. This is because there is a big gap between the official and black market rate. For every dollar sent to Nigeria, CBN and Nigerian banks are pocketing the difference between the official and black market rate. Recipients should be given option of receiving their gifts in Dollars. Western Union and MoneyGram are willing, ready and capable to pay in Dollars in Nigeria. I contacted Westernunion and Moneygram on this issue. It is only CBN and Federal Government that are preventing them from paying in Dollars because of the huge and illegal profits that CBN and Federal Government are making from hard working Nigerians living abroad.

CBN and Nigerian banks have been defrauding Nigerians remitting money home. On the other hand, the government officials in Nigeria are taking money out of Nigeria. For example, someone sends $100 from United States to his sibling in Nigeria through Moneygram. CBN and Nigerian banks pay the recipient 30,000 Naira at a rate of 300 Naira to a Dollar. The banks officials and CBN officials now sells the 100 Dollars to the black market through back door at 375 Naira to a Dollar. The officials now make 7500 Naira on 100 Dollars or 75 Naira per dollar. An estimated 20 billion dollars is officially remitted to Nigeria annually according to World Bank by Nigerian Diasporas. Therefor ethe Nigerian government, CBN officials and bank officials are making a profit of 20Billion*75 = 1.5 Trillion Naira each year from the Nigerian Diasporas. There was a time recipients in Nigeria could receive their Moneygram or WesternUnion gifts from their loved ones on Dollars. CBN and the Nigerian government cancelled the option.
What is the most annoying is that almost all the remittances back to Nigeria are done by Southerners. In short Nigerian government, CBN officials and Nigerian banks officials are making illegal and illicit money on the back of Southerners abroad to spend. CBN should allow recipients to receive money in Dollars.
