This is how it should be. a man should love his wife to the extent of being willing to lay down his life even when she does no deserve it. when a woman knows you love her this way, her response will be wow. it works for me.
The bolded is right
Family › Re: A Husband's Greatest Weapon. by pickabeau1: 11:34am On Jan 27, 2015
ok

Greater love has no man than this than to lay down his life for his friend/wife/child etc
Im glad you recognised this is a calling which all cannot strive to

Lateralmaths:
because

Ephesians 5.25-28

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

hmmm so true. even at that the man should still love unconditionally.
Once again, i ask
Why is it the man's duty to love unconditionally

Well maybe selling the laptop was not the best idea BUT you used it for the second year fees

They were opportunities to raise money over the hols

You have gotten a lot of feedback on this issue

What you need to do now in my opinion

1. Can you give a breakdown of how much you raised in your first call, what you used it for
2. Can you send a copy of your results so far to ifyalways so we can have assurance you are really in school
3. Can you give us an idea of what you intend to do to ensure this does not occur again

I am talking to just husbands here. Its not easy sha to just ignore someone's weakness while loving unconditionally. But every wife deserves that from her husband. Its not easy but it works.
Ok
Good you later recognised constraints around it
Yes it is an admirable objective

BTW are you a mathematician?
No but I dont hate maths
Family › Re: A Husband's Greatest Weapon. by pickabeau1: 10:36am On Jan 27, 2015
Exactly what i was thinking about
Love is more of a shield to protect

I think we all know what a husband's greatest 'weapon' is lipsrsealed
Lateralmaths
In maths there is something called equivalence
Unconditional love is not one person's sole responsibility

I think the focus should be on the activities to be carried out rather than the nomenclature of the group however they are at liberty to make their own decisions

Alternate treatment had not been ruled out for this case
However we will not consider it
The new team is free to consider it if the team Is formed

Nobody has written off anyone

We spent the last few days identifying a treatment plan which we have tabled to the house

We are saying however we cannot continue on this case

The options are to
A Handover the monies less chemo (which will be paid to d hospital) to his family
They will handle the logistics and ensuring he is available

B. A new team is set up to handle it
This team will be given all d funds

It was TEHN that shut people out from the India option and now u want to change ur mindhuh At the die minute? NEVER...

WE HAVE BEGGED AND CAJOLED U ENOUGH. WHAT IS IT GAN SEF. HE PASS FIELD WORKER ISSUE? AND WHERE ARE ALL THOSE WHO WERE SAYING THRASH? WHERE ARE THEY?

TEHN WE HAVE GIVEN U ALL THE SUPPORT U WANTED. WHAT ELSE? THERE IS SOMETHING GOING ON THAT U ARENT FEEDING US. WHAT IS IT? BE BOLD ENOUGH AND SAY IT OUT JUST LIKE U SAID EMMY SHOULD VOICE OUT.
When djdola was brought back in a bedridden state from eruwa, the focus was to get an hospital to even take him in as he was being rejected by hospitals as the myriad calls made them fearful of a community case

Also you will do well to remember general hospitals were and are still on strike so there was no bed space for him

We have explained severally India option was constrained by the funds raised.

Has nor been ruled our but not pursuing that angle? Y not come out clean about it instead of beating about the bush. Stop contradicting urself. What's the essence of asking for opinions then
My posts have been clear and the update was clear.

If a new team is formed, they can consider alternative therapy.

Hmmm....so alternative treatment have been ruled out mainly because it is hard to go against the four doctors.Fine. If we are forging ahead with this 18 week chemo plan....what is the EXPECTED outcome?....and what is this based on?....hope?....theory?...and have they tried this before on other patients with stage 4 or even stage 3 cancer? what were the results and how are they now?.....or is this just an 18 week pain relief treatment? ...referred to as "quality of life?" Shouldn't we know these answers before going down the chemo road? I'm hoping the doctors be asked these questions and be pressed for pointed answers. We can't be passive again. LUTH already put wool over our eyes for a month and pulled almost a million out of our pockets before we faced reality. I am surprised that LUTH is again considered to be/in the mix. This is by no means intended to be an attack nor an insult to TeHN but an effort to make sure we leave no stone unturned before moving forward.
Alternative treatment has not been ruled out in this case.
However we have decided not to pursue that angle.

If stakeholders decide to form a new team to handle it, it can be considered

There are no other stakeholders
You people are already holding the stake from day one so you are not relinquishing any stakes to anyone at this last minute to hold
You sat and came up with a decision and then turn around to call me and other regular posters stakeholders ,were we part of the decision you are asking us to endorse?
What type of stake am I holding ?

Please don't make me relive the painful memory of how support could have been drummed up to fly this young man to India long ago when enthusiasm was at it's peak.
But Tehns held the stake and didn't think it was a wise decision at the time
Good
We are here now and forward we must go
Biko hold that stake o
There is a patient whose life is dependent on it
I thought you folks educated us it was about DJ
India option was not feasible as funds were not available for this
You were the poster that brought a tentative estimate of 7.2m and you were also aware of the funds raised daily.

Not forgetting that family may choose to take him to a marabout or spiritual church instead of using conventional medicine
With people's hard earned money?
No way
The update stated that the chemotherapy sessions will be embarked upon but he will be supervised by his brother

The fund balance less the chemo session will be handed over to the bro

Also donations were made to his mom
That will be handed over too
