Bear in mind that in the old testament God appeared more strict than He was in the new testament because there was no Grace, it was the law that ruled in that era and the penalties for idolatry was death.

As for the furnace, do you know that if you believe in your heart that Jesus is the son of God and you confess it with your mouth you will be saved? I mean how hard can this be for anyone?

The last time I checked all these religions preach love but what does your own preach? And if you don't have a religion why not allow others to continue in theirs? It seems you can only be relevant when you find fault in existing religions.

Is jealousy a good thing? Man is able to get jealous because he is man(imperfect). If by your logic God created us and feels what what we feel, is it now alright to also assume that God has other human emotions like lust, greed, selfishness and other feelings we consider evil? Or are you going to blame Satan for those?

God is perfect, He doesn't have our weaknesses. Jealousy in this case is not a weakness rather it is strength. It is a sign of being caring and loving. If he didn't show any emotions when a soul is being lost to the devil wouldn't that make him uncaring?

An average atheist does not blindly support the bad actions of another atheist under the name of atheism unlike the Christians and Muslims who will defend murder, rape,slavery acts e.t.c because their Holy book allowed it . If its good, I commend you and if bad I reprimand you just the same way I will do to people of other faiths.

Secondly, please feel free to open "truthful" threads and expose the so called faults. That's the whole idea. Nothing should be scared of scrutiny, if it does then it was built on a false foundation in the first place and never should be preached about. True fact never hides itself! Never! Let's have those threads and let people read, learn and decide which is good or bad. Whining and complaining every day or isolating yourself in one section on Nairaland to avoid scrutiny only proves how weak such faith is.

@ bolded, this is my point. You don't believe God exist but we Christians believe he does so how can we reason together. Why interrupt our threads with your opinions, is it not to win people over to athiesm?

Just frame up your story and open threads like "Christian converts to Islam", trust me the mods may even modify the title to "Holy born again pastor converts to islam".

Or threads like "My christian parents wont let me join atheism", "pastor rapes child" or "Pastor caught in armed robbery", just anything negative about pastors or christianity.

Link it to a blog too, trust me in seconds, you'll see it on front page.

Religion happens to be an interesting topic for some people, atheist or otherwise, while it's not worth a passing glance for others. There are theists and atheists on nairaland who don't bother with this religion section. Taking an interest in religion should not depend on whether you believe that God exists or not. In the same vein, this belief or disbelief shouldn't be the only basis for an interest in science. Keep in mind that your christian God is also interested in religion, despite not believing in the existence of any higher power. And he is sometimes addressed as the ultimate scientist, despite not being an atheist.

Atheists might also come around to comment on your opinion of them ("led astray" ) or to share their opinion of you, just as you share your opinion of them. I hope you can recognise that they are entitled to that too.

Yes I know they are entitled to their opinion but let's face it, most of them have anti-christian opinions and this doesn't help our faith as Christians

Stop acting out the Victim complex.Those threads do not defame Pastors/Christianity but merely speaking the truth and are mostly posted by christians or hungry bloggers.When you defame something you utter/post false information about that thing in order to give it a bad name. A thread where a South African Pastor asks his congregation to eat grass, thread with funny church poster names or the Celestial Pastor chaining his 9 year old are simply the truth of what happened and not false information. People need to know these things happened and are happening. Show me these are false information and I will simply hold my peace.

Yeah agreed, all Christians are not saints but if we have threads that expose some faults of ours and cannot have threads that expose faults of athiests too then tell me how this does not make us victims?

They just closed a thread by anas09 (if I remember the moniker correctly, forgive me if its wrong), where he was asking wether or not Christian are truly welcome in the forum, given that Muslims seem to be having a free pass on everything. Commenting on all threads whilst the good lot can't do the same in their threads.

My guess is they would open an atheist section without hesitation, they just need a proper plea and it's done

Seun I think you need to create a section for only Christians and an athiest section except you want more gullible Christians to be led astray.

Hmmm while I feel sorry for the boy I think he is delinquent. The father failed by not providing for his family yet punishing the child in this inhumane way. Poverty has a way of affecting one's thinking faculty.

I wonder why the little boy couldn't beg for food rather than being bold enough to steal. Hope he will be adopted by a loving family and hope he never steals again

My wife and I are intimate and very good friend... She feel free with me ... In the room , she is sometime nude before me... And I am comfortable with it.. But the problem is, she also extend it to her fellow women especially any female visitors either friends or sisters or relations...
