olenyi: We don't concern ourselves with illegally viewing pay tv's here.

You pointed out that your friend introduced you to that idea. So go ahead and ask him to make it work for you as it looks like he knows about it.

Regards.

kibukila: Those interested in tracking Intelsat 17 at 66E you can use this tp 11489H3333 is active on this satellite but not on lyngsat.Happy hunting.
Did you manage to get the mentioned channels? I managed to get the other channels on a 90cm offset but the ones for D**v never popped green. Surprisingly even the ones I got the signal was very low, couldnt reach 70s!

FreeTVguru: Help me out guys am trying to nail Arabsat 5C with 1.85 pan dish + gulfstar cband lnbf I have so many hours of tracking with zero results, currently I managed to hit green on this frequency 4324 H 3299 and only one feed popped up "feed5" with a 65% signal quality, would you please advise me how I should move on from this position to hit arabsat am using. Srt 4930, and my dish is pointing almost @ Amos 5.

Malawi based!!!!!
Its difficult to know where your dish is point at just by looking at the frequencies posted. At least if you had provided a channel name members would have known where to start from. What frequency were you using for tracking, use the one for Aljazeera posted here several times by honourable members. Start from the direction of Eutel 36 and standing from the back move your dish to the left. Gulfstar LNB is good for this satellite. 8-)

hon1977: 2580 doesn't work i think i need the software which activates the patch because if i press menu 6108 it dsplays ''PATCH ENABLE'' which means the patch should be enabled for it to be displayed. However thanks bro.
and if you press 3030?
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by Pidzo(m): 1:21pm On Sep 12, 2013
hon1977: @Pidzo , do you have any idea about how one can make the patch of wiztec 288 mpeg4 to be displayed or the latest software with patch. A week ago Lunsat gave me a link bt the software is the same as the one in the decorder.
I have never used a Wiztech bro. Did you try this: Press Menu then Press 2580 and see if it works. This is assuming that the patch is already activated.

Get yourself Fortecstar FSHD 4700 or better still enjoy Fortecstar FSHD 4900. When you get hold of one tell me for the rest. These receivers are readily available in LL @ around 35 grand.

mayamiko: is it pssible to track mult tv channels in malawi?
Very easy bro. You can do it with even a 60cm dish (if you are in the southern region and you fail with 60cm try 90cm but remember to use mpeg4 receiver.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: FTA Live Football Matches Announcement Thread by Pidzo(m): 2:55pm On Aug 20, 2013
For my brothers in southern Africa trying to lock on RDV (16'e) using SRT 4930, try to load software version 119 or 122 and tweak your dish and LNB basing on what your signal quality tells you. You may then return to the latest version after you get the signal.

swordswifter: Gentleman or Lady,
*If i may ask, are you even serious?!
*Those so-called latest receivers you are using, tell me, do you even know how each component works?
*Do you even know that most products are not explored to their full capabilities before manufacturer's make new ones?!

The irony is that they just give them different names and virtually the same circuit designs just for someone somewhere to write a simple application on it and then sell it to you as "NEW TECHNOLOGY" - (Then people like you are happy to spend their hard earned currency just to throw out their so called old but good stuff).

If only you had taken your time to search, you will know what else you can do with your boxes before you even think of buying new ones. Forgive me for being blunt but It really saddens me when people rejoice in their own ignorance. There was a time products were built to last a very long time and to take care of future technologies. Expansion was nothing new and consumers had the option of upgrading their electronic equipment anytime by just adding simple components. Now the order of the day is profit profit profit so in order to keep you buying, they keep masking products that they are latest technologies and since some of us want to be deceived, we keep buying them. At first it took a company 10yrs to release a new product. Now every year something else has to come out. Technology is moving fast but let's face it, who are they selling it to?! People like you of course.

You have iPhone 1 and in less than 4 years, 5 releases are out. You Have Galaxy s1. I know by now you know the rest. SRT 4922 has no rf out. The we have SRT 4922A with rf out, yet they are both the same receiver. I will not continue wasting my time on tomorrow when your tomorrow even happened years back. I don't even think you know when IPTV was first discovered. If you have money to spend on Chinese toys, that is your own business but let us find ways of making things better in our own ways, little by little, so we will find ways to make things that will be for Africa and cater for our own needs.
Respect to you Swordswifter. I have learnt a lot from you since the days of old RDI board.

Canal+ joins Multichoice to broadcast in Ghana

France's Canalsat has teamed up with African pay-TV operator Multichoice to broadcast over 100 television channels in Ghana, in a deal which will bring football from Europe's biggest leagues to subscribers.

The move is reportedly the start of expansion plans by the French broadcaster into Anglophone Africa. Canal+ already has a strong presence in the French-speaking countries on the continent.

"For over 20 years Canal+ has been providing pay-TV services in Africa. We are passionate about over coverage because we want television viewers to see the world in a different view," said John Timothee, director of sales, partnership and development, Canal+ Africa.

Five premium channels with box office films, sports programming, original series, documentaries and family entertainment form Les Chaines Canal+, while over 90 French and international channels covering all genres are also now on offer to Ghanaians. Canal+ also carries about 30 state and private channels fromAfrica on the service, which is to be provided by the Multichoice platform DStv.

"Multichoice Ghana will provide Canal+ channels' service to the Ghanaian public the same way it renders the DStv subscriptions. It will come as fully installed service," said Cecil Sunkwa-Mills, general manager, Multichoice Ghana.

Football fans will have access via Canal+ to matches from France's Ligue 1, the English Premier League, Spain's La Liga, Italian Serie A, as well as the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League competitions.

The initial full package will cost GH¢230.00, and then subscribers can choose which bouquet to subscribe to monthly, Sunkwa-Mills said during the Canal+ launch in Accra.

Those with SRT4930 and have updated their receivers recently but the Hardstation 1 & 2 are missing don't panic. Just press Menu, the go to Entertainment. While on Entertainment press 9696 (not 6969) and you will activate that option. Pressing it again will deactivate it once again. Enjoy your Hardstation grin grin grin
