Fo the fact that I learn and study how to market my product shouldn't be your headache. If you care to know more about me Google my name. Instead of coming here to spew your fear.

I am going to introduce to you what are the Chakras.
The seven primary energy centres in your body.
We are going to explore exatly how each them works.
I am going to explain why each one of them is one of
the seven areas creating your life and how your early
life experiences and some cultural belief systems can
shut these energy centres.

Also I am going to be showing you how to clear and
open these energy centres. I am going to be explaining
everything I know about how to each one of these
chakras get programmed in different ways. I will help
you to see how it operates in our society and how different
societal group and different events are connected to our Chakras.

Also you will be exposed to how our success in life is
connected to the health status of each one of these invisible
yet very real energy centres in our body.

It requires only two works from your part to have you life the way
God actually created it to be. Exercise and meditation only can heal
your blocked or weak chakra. The purpose of these meditations is
simply to heal and let go of those blockages and belief systems that
are holding this part of your life back. After which you can feel vitality
and vibrancy that you deserve to feel. Because we all deserve our
full energy body lift up alive and healthy, that's why am writing this
piece.

I am going to be giving you all these different knowledges and it is
going to be practically applicable. I am very much of a believer that
if spirituality has any value, it has to be useful in the real world.
This is going to be practcal, it is going to be relevant to your real life.
I am exited that you are reading this right now, because of anything
other thing but curiosity to recognising and understanding why you
are not achieving your goals and dreams as planned and expected.

In the beginning of this journey, we are going to go through what are
the chakras? What is the hstory? Where does the knowledge came from?
And I am going to lay down s much information that will blow your mind.

You don't even realize what has been running your life. We are going to
be concluding with the session of about how these chakras playout in our
society, why is it that certain colours has universal colour association
that links directly with these chakras. Why is it that almost every fast foods
are in yellow and red. Why do we associate green with growth and red with stop.
Why is blue colour to create trust and all these are fascinating things we are
going to be covering within this piece of writing.

I am going to make sure that you get as much as possible can to apply this
knowledge into your real life.

OVERVIEW OF THE CHAKRAS:

Every single Chakra has its position along the spine. It has endocrine
gland that is associated it. Endocrine gland is the physical secreter
of hormones that are triggered by this Chakra activation.

Each Chakra has a colour associated with it. Believe it or not,
as you move from the base chakra which is red, the lowest and the
slowest visible vibration to the human eyes and you move up towards
the crown Chakra. Within each of these Chakras is contained a part of
the universal energies tha human has access to. And each is a separate
part of the rainbow.

WHAT ARE THE CHAKRAS?
The ancient Monk Mystics of India, who are master of the
art of meditations began to go within themselves thousands
of years ago. And they realised that they had within them,
the entire system of energy that were separate yet connected
to their physical body. Through the process of the Monk and
Mystics constant meditation and enquiry, they determined
there were seven major Chakras within the body.

These Chakras are basically energy centres, and the word
chakra means spinning wheels. That means human being has
spinning wheels of energy in each different part of the body
corresponding to the seven areas.

These are like seven major power centre of your life. Each
one of them corresponds to a different aspect of who you are.
The root chakra at the base of your spine corresponds to your
survival, safety in your physical body, and your energy level.
The Sacral Chakra, the second chakra. It is centred around
your hips and it is responsible for your joy, pleasure, creativity
and sexuality.

As we go through life, these chakras can become either too
blown open or blocked. It has to be moderately opened. If it
is too blown open, that means we over rely on that energy.
An example of is somebody who functions out of anger all
the time. People like that has their root chakra blown open.
And all they need to learn is how to dialate it back to healthy
level.

Chakras can also become closed down, that means the energy
wheels stops spinning altogether for a long period of our lives.
It's truly sad but that's what happened to most of us.
As we go through life, we lose touch with certain parts of ourselves.

Our hearts can become blocked, and closed down.
When we experience a heartbreak or we experience a painful
rejection, we begin to close down heart chakra because it hurts.
And so when we do that, we began to feel isolated from the world
and we feel separate from everyone else.

The energy centres that are inside of you ae opening and closing in
relation to your life experience and what you want is for all of them
to be healthy, opened and cleared. So that you can have the life
experience that you want.

When our heart is opened, you attract people and situations into your
life, because they can all feel the energy naturally. and when your
third chakra is powered on, you feel confident, you feel drive and you
have a high self esteem. You naturally attract people to you, who
respect you, who like you and who want to do bsiness with you.

But if this is closed down, people feel it as well and you will experience
the contrary. Therefore, we all are responding to the status these chakras
every now and then ignorantly.

What we have to learn doing first, is to understand what the chakras are,
each one of the major seven. We have to learn how it works. We have to
learn how to heal and balance them. And then we can go out to the
world and intentionall create our lives. And that will be awesome.

I repeat it again, Chakra is a spinning wheels of energies. There are many
different chakras, but there are seven major ones. They are centred all
along your spine and they can be too blown opened, they can be healthy
and balanced or they can be blocked and closed.

Through this journey, we are going to be working on getting them all
healthy and balanced. Getting them in alignment, so that you can have
the life you deserve and create what you want to create in this amazing
time we have on this planet.

My story:

Before I go any further, I will like to formmally introduce myself to you. Watch out for my next article tomorrow.

How are you really planning your Wedding Ceremony? Remember if there a is a reason for a second wedding, the first is usually the most remembered and most acceptable by people around you. So how are you going to make it a day to be remembered for good starting with your invite? And is the quality of invitation cards resonating with your desired guests?

Wedding invitations often provide guests with a first glimpse of a wedding's style. Invitations also may serve as the means by which distant friends and relatives find out about a couple's pendingnuptials if a formal announcement was not made.

Amid the flourishes of calligraphy and impressive paper stock is information that speaks to the importance of the day when two people will be joining their lives together. Guests will learn not only the time and the place of the wedding from the invitation, but also the formality of the event and the scope of the party that will follow.

Couples should keep certain things in mind as they begin to design their wedding invitations.

* Have a good idea of your potential guest list. Before shopping for wedding invitations, it is key to have a strong idea of just how big the wedding will be and how many guests will be invited. This way you will know how many invitations you will need. Invitations vary in price, so cost may be a consideration if your guest list is extensive.

* Decide on the formality of the wedding. Will you be hosting a black tie affair, or will it be a casual gathering at the shore? Guests infer many things about the wedding from the invitations, which should match the formality of the event in style and the sentiments expressed. An ornate invitation written with classic wording suggests a more formal affair, while a whimsical invitation with less formal wording could indicate a more laid-back event.

* Dare to be different by playing with invitation sizes and shapes. Rectangular cards are standard for wedding invitations, but you can explore your creativity by choosing more modern, artsy invitations. Circular invites or scalloped edges can add some whimsy to the wedding mood. Invitations that fold out or are embellished with ribbon or other decorations can be appealing. Just keep in mind that cards that are not the standard shape and size could be more costly to send. Always have the entire wedding invitation weighed and priced at the post office so you will know what the postage will cost.

* Choose a legible font and text color. Your invitation may look beautiful, but it may prove ineffective if it is difficult to read. Do not risk guests misinterpreting the date or the location because they cannot read the writing on the invitation. Steer clear of pastel or yellow text colors, and remember to have a high contrast between the color of the invitation and the text you are using for easy reading.

* Keep the invitation simple. It may be tempting to load the invitation with lots of information, but all you really need are the key pieces of information, such as the "who," "what," "where," and "when." Crowding the card will take away from its aesthetic appeal. Most stationers will suggest a separate, smaller insert in the wedding invitation for the reception information and response card. Never put information such as where you are registered or "no kids allowed." This is material better reserved for word of mouth or on a wedding Web site.

* Do some math. It is important to know your dates so you can receive the invitations on time, give guests enough time to respond. A good rule of thumb is to mail out the invitations at least two months before the wedding. Have an RSVP date of no more than three to four weeks before the wedding, giving ample time to the caterers and accommodating anyone who procrastinates in sending in a response. You will need the final headcount in order to confirm seating arrangements and plan for centerpieces and favors.

* Handwrite the envelopes. Your invitation will look more impressive if you address them by hand, rather than printing them off of a computer. If your handwriting is not very neat, consider hiring a professional calligrapher to write out your envelopes.

* Always order extra. Mistakes happen, and you may need to send out a few extra invitations that you hadn't originally counted. Always order extra invitations just to be on the safe side. And don't forget you will probably want to keep one as a keepsake for yourself.

In order to have a complete and memorable event, it is advisable you have a theme that cuts across all the event souvenirs invite, writing pad, carrier bags, e.t.c all customized with the same colour theme.

That does not only tell how well planned your wedding was, it also registered in the minds of people present possibility of what the marriage is going to look like.

Hi my people, am back again, and am back to stay with you for as long as possible.
Fetching you with facts and insights into the world of printing.
Don't attempt printing that project yet, until you listen to what comes out of here,
including other member's contributions. Hope that is fair enough.

Recently I walked into a bank, and noticed a stack of promotional fliers next to my
left side of the counter. I got attracted to the quality of the the print but to my surprise,
I struggled to make up the meanings to the message on the paper i was holding in my hand.
First thing that came to my mind was that; only God knows how many quantity of
this was actually printed and also imagine how many are still to printed thereafter.
Time wasted, money wasted, resources wasted and message lost. No conversion,
campaign out of place. Simply because there was no communication.

There are so many little details a lot of people are ignoring when it comes to
writing a copy in any promotional campaigns. And that is one of the reasons I
have to come back here and find a way to help in my own little way. I can't stop that
from happening but i can empower those who are ready to absorb a change in
Graphic design, printing as well as marketing knowledge behind every
design and printing project.

Let me start really from the scratch.

THREE (3) of the best and worst fonts for printing.

It is an obvious fact, that what you see is what you get when it comes to
graphic design and printing. Graphic design STAGE occupies an important role in
printing process and procedures. That is main reason I am coming up
with this piece of article.

When it comes to creating some printed marketing material, the type of
font that we will use, is often one of the last things on our mind. The actual
design and content is usually the first thing we consider and then it is a case of
deciding on colours and images. Once all these are place you might finally get
round to considering the type of font to use.

Why is type font so important?

Imagine your customers can’t easily read the leaflet, flyer, brochure,
billboard or poster that you want them to read, then your message is instantly lost.
Your text must be conspicuous, clear and easy to read and should also fit with your
overall brand identity.

To help give you an idea of fonts that work well in print, I have compiled a
list of three of the best and worst fonts for printing. We see all sorts of fonts go
through our printers on a daily basis and like to think we have a good idea on
what works well and what simply doesn’t work at all.

3 of the best fonts for printing:

1. Century Gothic:
Century gothic is a sans serif font that was created in 1991 for monotype imaging.
Century gothic is neat and easy to read, making it a great choice for print material.
They are a great choice for headlines and can be read from distance.
Those of you familiar with the band Franz Ferdinand may be familiar with the Century Gothic font.

2. Helvetica:
Perhaps one of the most commonly used type fonts, Helvetica has been around since 1957.
It is a widely used sans serif type has a clean, simple feel and is easy to read. Helvetica is
a great choice for more detailed information within a brochure or flyer. You may recognise Helvetica being used by a number of top brands including Microsoft, Panasonic, Staples and Evian.

3. Verdana:
Verdana is a font that was designed in 1996 by Matthew Carter for Microsoft.
It is another member of the san serif family. It was designed to be read on a
screen but is also great for print due to its flexibility. It was designed with small
text in mind so it is an extremely legible typeface when it comes to printing.
It looks good in large and small sizes and is a great choice if you want a consistent
look to the headings and body of your text. You may recognise Verdana being used by PayPal.

3 of the worst fonts for printing:

1. Comic Sans:

This once loved font is now well and truly a no go font. It tends to appeal more to
a younger demographic and is quite popular in targeting kids but is a font that
almost every designer will tend to avoid. It can be hard to read at times on paper
if certain colours are used with it, with yellow particularly hard to make out.
It was designed to look like comic book fonts and quite frankly this is where it should stay!

2. Segoe Script:
The actual problem with Segoe Script is that it isn’t that easy to read and it also
struggles to complement with other type fonts. Sentences can often come across as one
long line of text which can very easily result in the reader getting lost while reading the
information they are after. While hand written fonts can sometimes provide a stylish,
rustic feel to text, it is best to avoid using Segoe Script.

3. Impact:

Last but not least on our list is the impact font. Another sans serif font,
impact was designed in 1965 as a font that would provide an impact when printed.
With ultra thick strokes and a compressed letter structure, impact text can be very
hard to make out and is a font we would certainly recommend avoiding when
deciding on your printing needs.

When you have decided on a type font that works for your printed promotional material,
we recommend you include it in your brand guidelines to ensure all future printed
materials incorporate the font and sizes that are to be used with it.

Let us know which type fonts you enjoy using and which ones you try to avoid using
by joining the conversation on Facebook page www.facebook.com/printquickng.
Or right on this forum whichever your preference is.

See you soon.

Thanks, I remain yours sincerely

Lesson 3:
Understanding What You Are Up Against
- Winning the fight with all foes when you must,
circumventing competition when you can

A research work is never complete if you did not refference other
people's work. I mean experts. According to one of my mentors
Caveth Robert, who says "Don't be in too much of a hurry to
promote, and you get good. Otherwise you just speed up the
rate at which the world find out you are not good enough.
Harsh but good advice.

In today's incredibly cluttered, and competitive environment, you
need a truly great marketing message more than anything.
Marketing and the ultimate marketing plan, begins not with any
particular media or startegy; it starts with putting together the best,
most promotable message possible that truthfully represents the
goods you have got.

As you get out to construct a super-powered marketing message,
you have to take a thorough survey of all you are up against.
Everyone else of significance who may be presenting their messages
top your target audience.

You need to develop a message that somehow trumps all others
places you in a category that will obviously stand you out.
In the course of this series, I will disclose the road best traveled
about circumventing all clutter and competition while you will have
the room to operate in a protected selling environment of your own
making. That i called "The Blue Ocean".

Marketing space has been flooded with red bloods, where competition
is actively fierced and the current is moving in an unassailable speed.
It will only lead you to the gyre where goals and objective will be
consumed and vanished.

Why on heart would you want to enter a space where competition
can only engulf you even before you voice could be heard. And that
is the reason your message s the first tool required to create your
own BLUE OCEAN for you brand. Where your message will be
uniquely yours at every marketing attempt.

I want you to follow the following exercise and that will kick you
started. This exercise is not about any theory, it is about what
has worked and still working.

Here we go; internet is greatly helping us greatly with a lot of
research work. Therefore, it is no longer an excuse for anybody to
use as a barrier.

Hop on to the internet, use the search engine and visit lots of
competitors' websites. Start with the first ad from the first site
and thick a pad of paper. Write down each promises, features,
benefit, and the headlines.

When you find one of these same statements in the advertiser's ad,
just put a mark next to it, and keep stick-counting the number of
times the same basic statem ent appears in all the ads, add it up
to to your list, stick-count the number of times it occurs in the
other ads.

This exercise is instructive for a very significant reason.
Internet remains the toughest advertising arena today. It offer
comparable clutter. There are ways to pick off searchers and direct
them only to your site, but as a practical matter, most who search
online are solely tempted to shop around. You are literally
surrounded by competitor's advertising.

However, internet is not the only mean to gain attention of
prospects. With other types of media, particularly direct mail. You
can get get hold one-on-one attention, deliver a complete message,
with no instant opportunity and little temptation to check out what 200
others in your category have to offer. This is what is called "selling
in a vacuum". And it is very desirable to work on.

Conversely, on the internet, your competitors are millisecond's
click away. You are all presenting the same messages to the same
prospective customers. In this case, only the strong survive; and only
the strongest prosper. Obviously, this is what you are up
against.

But despite this obvious, extreme competitiveness, your
stick-counted list will glaringly reveal one astounding fact;
which is "everybody is saying the same thing" Everybody is delivering th
e same message with very rare exception.

If you look at this very well, they are unfocused messages.
They are big and broad and not really for anyone in particular.
While this seem to be the way to do things, because that is the
way everybody is doing things, it is definitely the wrong approach if
you seek exceptional success or dominance in your marketplace.

Contrary to all this me-tooism, the key to the vault is still in
the marketing. It is message that differentiates you from all your
competitors, in a positive , appealing, preferably compelling way.
Many professionals call this the "Unique Selling Proposition".
Without a Unique selling proposition, you are merely a choice, but
with USP, you are the choice.

What makes a Great USP?

That is question we are going to thrash out in my next release.
Have a great time till we meet here again.

cheers!

Lecture Day 2:
The Secret Business Very Few Are Doing In Nigeria Guaranteed to Make You RICH
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Acknowledging the first mail sent to you before this.
Where i made effort to clear the air on why most
businesses would not succeed in their practice unless
somethings are changed. Until this is fixed the story
will always remain same.

Imagine, you doing same thing over and over again,
yet expecting different result. I recently discovered
that most people don't even recognize where the
problem actually is, let alone fixing it. I don't
want to blame them anymore but to do my own part
as a marketing consultant.

That is the sole reason I am taking my time out to make
this channel your most important place to be in acquiring
the best marketing tips and advice you can reliably get
from anywhere on the globe. Trust me.

For the record, I am not an academic theorist.
I have been in business since over a decade. I have tried
and threaded on so many learning curves both in business
and life. I am always up for something entrepreneurial.

Why am i saying this?
This is simply because i want you to adhere to any of my
words and be confident anywhere in the world with the best knowledge.

Are you prepared really prepared?

Let me start with a poem

And it goes thus:

A lion met a tiger
As they drank beside a pool
Said the tiger, "Tell me why
You're roaring like a fool.
"That's not foolish, said the lion
with a twinkle in his eyes
"They call me the king of all the beasts
Because I advertise! "

A rabbit heard them talking
And ran home like a streak
He thought he'd try the lion's plan
But his roar was just a squeak

A fox came to investigate
had a luncheon in the woods

Moral: When you advertise, my friend
Be sure you have the goods!
Take your time to digest that.

Now let me break it down. Starting with the term advertising.
Advertising is the attempt to influence the audience, by just
creaming at anyone who is willing to listen. It is a very brief
and repeated communication with an audience.

Marketing on the other hand is actually for people who have
raised there hands and are slightly interested in your message
and want more information. Because they are interested in the
communication, it won't be hard for you to have their contacts
and sell to them. In a nut shell, marketing is a direct
information targeting a specific audience. It is much more direct
instead of screaming at a large group of uninterested audience.

Therefore, two things before getting into the meat of this exercise.

1. What is "marketing" anyway?
2. What are the objectives in developing your own ultimate marketing plan?
I am not going to give you a university textbook definition of marketing.
Marketing is simply an effort made in getting the right message
to the right people via the right media and methods, effectively,
efficiently and profitably.

If you noticed I used the word "profitably" at the expense
of "affordably". The best most supported poor thinking ideology
by most businessmen is "to try to reach out and get customers
as cheaply as possible. And this surely rules out the opportunities
in marketing in the first place. As an aspiring business owner
whose desire is to have a successful business; then the very first
thing to start understanding is --- that the comparative cost of
different ways of marketing are irrelevant. They mean nothing.
It is the comparative return on investment translated into net
profit that matters.

As a business owner, you don't have to trust you accounting decision
into your accountant's hand, he's actually doing a great job, but he's
just a custodian of the business money not how to spend it.
You should know better.

Here are the pertinent questions I have for you:
1. Is your marketing built around the most powerful, persuasive,
intriguing, compelling, fascinating massage possible?

2. Have you determined precisely who your message should be
for and figured out how to put it right in front of them?

3. Are you wisely investing in the most appropriate media delivery
of your message to the prospect in your chosen target market?

4. Are you both effective and efficient?

5. Are you accurately measuring the true net return on
investment for each marketing investment?

If all my questions sound too complex for you and your
very small business, then think again. You have to start
eliminating the "small syndrome" from your business psychic.
Most successful business have a small beginning,
but the only difference is that they had a very BIG heart
from their small start.

Maybe I need to explain it better. Starting a business whether
big or small is being determined by the rate at which it is funded.
Some have the advantage of starting with PLAY MONEY while some
we regard as small businesses start with what is called the REAL MONEY.

Contrary to the general belief, you wont have access to play money
if you cannot present convincing business activities over a record period
of time, which will only qualify any proposal for endorsement or acceptance.

Play money is the funds being disbursed by venture capitalists,
or banks, probably very rich individuals who are convinced you
can manage their investment effectively, efficiently and profitably.
If you are still thinking that my five previous questions are too complex
for you or your business then you are not ready to do anything business.
But am still going to shock you with the sixth question.

6. Who is the head of your marketing department?

Let me assume your response to this is one Mr Lagbaja.
And if am right with my gesture, then you are actually digging
a grave of extinction for you innocent business.

In business, the most important function is the marketing function.
Which is expected to be the sole responsibility of the business owner.
While every other functions are deliverable, they could be outsourced
and paid for.

Your objective should be to put the success factors together into
a plan for moving your business forward.
Let me leave you with this part to dwell on. While expecting the
answers to my supposed complex questions in the next phase of this series.
Make sure you don't miss the next valuable tips succeeding this

Cheers!

Just scratching the surface! Sit back and relax.
Career / Secret Business Very Few Are Doing In Nigeria Guaranteed To Make You RICH by pinehazel(m): 12:10am On Sep 10, 2015
Hi,
If it is your topmost desire to achieve and live
the quality of life you have always longed for,
then you must make this channel a priority.

I really have to congratulate you for getting
in contact with this information that am prepared
to expose to you that will get you prepared in the world
we found ourselves. In the course of this thread you will
learn about the secret business very few Nigerians are doing
to enrich themselves with loads of
c.a.s.h year in and out.

Let me use this moment to reassure you
that you are in the right place and with the
right person. And I want to reintroduce
myself to you in case you got this article by
chance.

My name is Mosiu Adelabu Kazeem, a conference
host, direct marketing consultant, and a
motivational speaker with over ten years of
business and marketing experience. To make it
easy, I want you to do your independent
search on google.com about me. You will be
presented with enough convincing results. So
that I don't have to take your time saying
much about me.

Let's get down to the basic. You see a
business is never a business if there is no
single customer or buyer. Conversely, a
business is still not a business if only what
it has are buyers not customer.

A business needs customers who are loyal
to its brand identity, who will definitely
make a repeat purchase. You will be lucky by
putting up an advert and expectantly people
responded to your ads and eventually buy from
you for the first time.

The same result should not be expected when
else such ads is being put on offer. It is an
adorable idea aspiring to be in business, but
it is very stupid to be in business that is
dead already even before it came to live.

What do i mean?
Most people desire to be their own boss,
probably sack their bosses. Just like we
normally use in this industry. But the
question is "do you really have the required
skill set to sail through the business world?

One thing is constant in the world of
business. And that is marketing. It is the
the only term that remains same everywhere in
the world irrespective of the industry.

The term "Marketing" has been abused in such
a way that many business owners don't even
know when and where to apply it. However,
this is largely responsible for the reason a
lot of businesses will continue to fail at
every attempt trying to get back on track.

I am not being brash, its just the fact we
must admit. Nothing will work in business
without marketing. No business will survive
without marketing. If it is not marketing, it
is no business.

In this thread, I'll expose to you the
relationship that exists among advertising,
marketing and public relation. It is only by
understanding these that will guarantee you success
in any chosen industry.

In the next few days and weeks to come, I
will be exposing to you, the reasons why that
business idea is not actually yielding the
expected results. And why you can start any
business of your choice and still be
successful at it if you really understand the
secret behind it.

So till then!

Cheers!

Art, Graphics & Video / Re: Learning Printing Process From Scratch To Finishing - by pinehazel(m): 4:20pm On May 18, 2013
Section 2:
I will love to start with the third on list above. KORD printing machine is arguably one of the most commonly used machine in Nigeria at present. It has the capacity of printing any image and paper size measured at 18inches by 24inches (18” x 24”). In a situation where size requirement is beyond this said size, a larger machine must be considered for use.
In this case SORD and SPEEDMASTER(SM) printing machine will be perfect for such larger sizes. They have the capacity of printing twice the size of that of KORD. While the GESTETNER earlier mentioned can only print a quarter size of KORD image/paper size called A4 as well as Legal size.
In printing term, sizes are named in As. A KORD paper printing size is called A2, SORD/SPEEDMASTER is called A1 and the GESTETNER size known to be A4.
…Back to the matter!
Please don’t open or close anything here, because we are discussing print, lol.
The figure below is an assumed handbill size I wanted to produce.

*N.B. the pic won’t show here because of the platform you are reading this article. But you can get for it in the PDF format. But not withstanding you is still going to get what am about to discuss here.
Assuming I have an order to produce 20,000 copies of a 6”x 9” handbill. I make Art paper my choice of paper to do the printing. Usually papers are packed in a unique and universal size. Art paper and some in its category for instance are measured in size to be 24” x 36”. This is exact size a SORD and SM can comfortably print on without a need to cut it before use.
In this project, I am considering using KORD printing machine to produce the 20,000 copies of 6”x 8” handbill for economic reason. This you will understand in the course of my writing. Here is what I will always advise you to do first. You will need to have it in mind that KORD paper size is 24”x 18”, that makes it half on the paper size you will buy from the paper merchant.
See figure below:
The diagram above explains how the raw paper size look like. Then the you will have to cut it into two equal halves in order to suit the machine planned for the print run.
This other diagram below shows the number of ups(times) an handbill size of 6”x9” can go in a single sheet of 24”x36”. The reason we are doing this is to understand the number of A1 sheets as well as A2sheets we will actually need to print 20,000copies.
…Here is what you will do!
If in A2 size we can achieve 8 sheets of A5(6”x9”) handbill size, that means we will need (20,000/8 sheets) = 2,500 sheets of A2 size. Don’t forget that I told you that paper is usually packed in A1 size. i:e 24x36 meaning you will still have to divide 2500sheets by half, in order to determine the cost. Therefore, half of 2500 sheets will be 1,250 in sheets.
I will once again advise you not to get bored at this stage of learning; because once you can get this right, every other things will be a piece of cake. This is actually the costing stage in printing knowledge.
In the paper industry, papers are packaged in reams while cards are usually packaged in packets. A ream of paper has 500 sheets in it while packet of card is usually wrapped in 100s.
Papers and cards are also being differentiated by weight, which is measured in grams. Each grams has its price be it low or high. As at the time of writing this article, a ream of art paper costs N9,500 of 150grams. We have 115grm, 135grms, and also 170grms depending on the specification required for the project.
Now that we have been able to establish the number of sheets of A2 to produce 20,000 sheets of handbill, the next thing is to ascertain how many reams we will need. Remember that I mentioned how many sheets in a ream to be 500. And its been established that we need 1,250 sheets of A1(24”x36”). Therefore, 1250 is to be divided by 500 and that will give us two and half reams.
Moreover, what we need to do here is to multiply the cost of a ream with the number of reams just calculated. At this point N9,500 will be multiply by 2.5 reams making it N23,750. That is the cost required to get the paper needed.
… I just hope we are on same page!

Hope to post soonest!
