@Pinkey2021 @oyibo4real

What is the process of doing it this way ?

Does it come in soft copy or hard copy?
If I understand correctly, are you trying to determine if the GCMS notes ordered in Canada will come in hard or soft copy like when ordered from a third from here?

I should think that it’s soft copy. I doubt if IRCC is processing/delivering any documents physically or in hard copies at the moment due to the pandemic. I believe everything is processed online and the results sent via email to the email account of the person who ordered it.

This is my understanding though.

Check on where it says ‘ONLINE APPLICATION’ the last tab there should have ‘Continue Application.” If it doesn’t, log out completely, wait for a few minutes and log back in. It’ll come up. This happened to me too a while back. It’s usually due to a system glitch.

Could you perhaps drop your email here and quote me instead or reply to this?

So sorry, I’m not ignoring you or others who have tried to contact me via email, its just that I don’t know how these emails are supposed to work.

@Justwise pls how does this email of a thing work please? People have sent emails to me and I can’t seem to access them. And when I reply it keeps getting bounced back. Please help. Thank you.

Isnt the sole aim to get PR...

What do you mean buy "using school to move"
The ‘final’ and not sole aim of a study permit for most people is to get PR, AFTER they’ve studied and gotten their qualifications. It’s a process.

However, I heard recently that some people actually use the study visa path to immigrate without actually studying. They get their visas, get to Canada and abandon their school and program! I was shocked.

No wonder VOs sometimes write in GCMS and refusal notes that they have concerns about an applicant being a bonafide student.

I believe February applicants will be getting PPRs very soon (possibly next week).

Dey go soon finish January own.

I also think they are trying to wrap up earlier applications like those of December, November and October.

March, hopefully last week in May and first week in June (by God's grace)

It will end in praise.
Amen. I believe so too.

Hello Guys,

Which of the GCMS services is the fastest i.e less than 30 days?

And how do I go about getting my GCMS note for my study permit application?
I believe they’re all the same ie 30 days and above. Takes much more longer these days.

I’ll advise that if you have someone in Canada to order it for you then do so cos that’s the fastest way, and cheaper too I believe.

You can await others input as well.

Good afternoon,

can anyone give me info on the requirements for admission for undergrad programmes in Canada?

My lil sis is using an agent, just want to make sure we are not being scammed.

She has her WASSCE results, what else will she need?

Thank you
My sincere advice? Ditch the agent.

Might not be what you want to hear but the fact remains that Canada study visa is not the type that agents are familiar with nor can influence, most of them are clueless about this process.

You’re still in the very early process, stick with this thread and you’ll get all you need to achieve a successful outcome.

Someone here said the other day that he paid almost N200k to his agent to help him get admission!!! Just admission oh!!! Ugh!!! A little more to that money and he’d buy a ticket straight to Toronto!
We need to be wise and sharp please. Travel is no child’s play, it’s already an expensive venture, why add unnecessary charges and complications in the mix??

Everyday it’s “Someone pls help me pay my tuition”, when Form A is there, easily accessible, secure and well set up by the govt. “Someone pls help me pay application fee,” when Dorm Acc can be opened within a week and you carry out your transaction without fear. Why won’t people get scammed? (not in anyway exonerating the scammers), yet, fact remains if no one is patronizing their services we wouldn’t be hearing a lot of these stories that touch.

The worst is all this my agent said this my agent said that cases.

Why do you need an agent to get admission for an undergraduate program? Or any program at all? Why? When you can simply google the program/course of choice and boom, the info appears. You click on the school’s website, follow the instructions to apply and you’re done. It takes approx 15-20mins!

Are these agents also going to accompany the applicants to Canada and charge them to help them settle in??!!

We’re in the era of garnering information at our fingertips, literally. Do what you can yourself. Research. Research. Research. Read. Read. Read.

No be school we dey go Canada go do?? Abi Na person go dey read and do research for us dia??!

God help us o!

Note: I’m not in any way saying that all agents cannot achieve success in this process, all I’m trying to put across is that MOST do not, and when they do it usually cost the applicant an unreasonable amount of money. Money that they could have saved and added to their travel funds.

Please What do you mean by upfront medicals
Upfront medicals means going for medical test before IRCC sends you a request to do so.

For the medicals there are only two centers in Nigeria eligible to conduct the tests:
1. IOM in Ikeja, Lagos; and Abuja
2. Q-Life Family Clinic, Ikoyi Lagos.

I hope those who were telling you he wasn’t a scammer can now see what you were trying to say all along.

What a despicable human being!

I hope for your sake you’re now ready to go directly to the bank and make use of Form A to pay your tuition as you were advised to do long ago.

Although it may not be the fastest (depending on the bank you use) but, NO OTHER MEANS IS CHEAPER, SURER OR SAFER THAN FORM A FOR TUITION PAYMENT.

It has finally ended in praise for me. God bless Frankrobbn, Justmellow, and the many others that have been giving me hope and answering all my plenty of questions. Note that I used an agent or my application because i was too busy with work to continually study the tips on this thread and apply them. I am a second-time applicant.

Timeline:
January 20th: Medical done
January 27th: Application submitted with all NSE requirements- Sponsor's 1-year Mybankstatement of about 11million, IELTS result with 7.5 band, and Medical result.
February 20th
February 26th: Second ghost update
March 4th: Third ghost update
March 9th: Fourth ghost update
May 4th: PPR and correspondence letter

Reason for the first refusal: They said that my finance wasn't sufficient even after i submitted an account statement of 12million and paid my first-semester tuition.

How i tackled the refusal: I paid the full tuition for the first year, provided the sponsor's account statement of 11million and i also made a notarised affidavit of sponsorship signed by my sponsor. I did not use a notarised affidavit of sponsorship in my first application but i used an affidavit from the high court. A friend advised me to use a notary lawyer for my affidavit and so far, everyone that i know that used a notary lawyer was approved. Notarised documents are recognized worldwide.

Documents submitted:
All IMM forms
Tuition payment receipt CAD$21,000
notarised affidavit of sponsorship
notarised affidavit of good behavior
police report
IELTS result
medical slip
letter of explanation
passport photograph
data page of passport
sponsor's birth certificate (sponsor is my brother)
CAC document for my business
Employment letter
Recommendation letter

NOTE: I used an agent for my application. There are a few agents that knows what they are doing. My agent did not hold back my login details like other complained about.

I got admitted into about 7 schools in the USA also but I decided to go to Canada for reasons best known to me.

God wey do am for me go do am for una.

I am so excited. As i dey type sef, my fingers dey shake. Immediately i logged in and saw that my application has been updated i was like; "these people with their ghost updates again" before i clicked on the application and saw my correspondence letter and PPR. I immediately ran and woke my dad from sleep to break the good news to him. He has always been supportive.
Big congratulations to you my dear sis. I’ve been following your process for a while now and it has surely ended in PRAISE for you.

Good day house. I applied since November last year and I’ve not gotten any feedback. Not even done my biometrics. Anyone experiencing this same thing?
This is unbelievable! Since November ke?!! I’m a hundred percent sure you used an agent for your application. Here are the possible scenarios of your situation:

1. Your so-called “agent” did not submit any application.

2. Your biometrics request letter is sitting in your account and this unscrupulous agent is unbothered to access it.

Either way, this is unjust and inhumane! What are you really waiting to hear back from IRCC to begin with? They simply cannot commence work on your ‘application’ because you’ve not provided them with the most basic requirement —your biometrics.

Pls contact that agent ASAP and demand access to your login details to see your profile status for yourself. That is the first step before anything else.

Ah it is well oh. God have mercy! I’ve had it with these evil agents. Jesus!!!

To the best of my knowledge they verify the authenticity of the bank statement(s) provided and not the account balance.

My brother that’s what I’m asking? I ve never applied before and I used my dads account and mine, so what could be the reason for this and how can I ask them
1. Have your visa applications to any country ever been refused, and/or have you ever been denied entry to any country before?

2. Are you a hundred percent certain that you correctly filled and provided all the required information during your application without mistakes?

3. Go through your submitted forms and check thoroughly for any of the above listed possible reasons for misrepresentation.

4. As for the recourse, if you’re a hundred percent certain that none of the above apply to you, then you should employ the services of an immigration lawyer to address the letter, stating that you have not faulted any of their rules and they should reconsider their stand to ban you. Anyway, I’m sure the immigration lawyer will know how to address the issue.

5. There’s also the possibility that this might be an error on their part and this is meant for someone else other than yourself.

Await others responses.

Hello, guys. Please, I'll need some guidance.

1. I applied with my ND result to study Diploma in Computer Science in Thompson Rivers University. I was given conditional admission. Would I have any issue when applying for my student visa regarding things like "academic progression"? Or should I have applied for a post graduate Diploma?

2. Looking at the fees, I discovered that tuition fee including accommodation and everything is set at C$32,083.00 per year. Tuition fee per semester is around C$16,000+. I have a total of C$30,000. Would I be able to get a student visa with that amount in my account considering the tuition fees?

3. Do you think the fees of the school is too costly and I should consider applying to other schools? If yes, please, can you recommend other cheaper options?

Thanks!
With an ND, the next logical progression course is an Advanced diploma program which is equivalent to HND. Going for an ordinary diploma does not show progression as it’s on the same level as ND. Post graduate diploma on the other hand is reserved for people with a bachelors degree or HND, so you’re not qualified for that either.

The POF requirement for NSE is CAD30,000 which you have. However, if your tuition is CAD16,000 per semester then I think you’re not sufficiently covered as you’re meant to show tuition for one year plus CAD10,000 Living Expenses for one year which the above figure doesn’t sufficiently cover. So, you’ll need an additional CAD13-14,000 (incl a little left over for miscellaneous and other fees).
Tuition: CAD32,000
LE: CAD10,000
Miscellaneous/Others: CAD3,000
Total: CAD45,000

The CAD16,000 tuition fee per semester for your school is quite costly as that is about the average yearly tuition fee for most colleges in Canada.

In addition to your available funds, you can get a sponsor to augment the rest of the funds if you can’t raise it yourself.

Await others input if you need more clarity. @Lekiboboe can provide you with list of cheaper schools if possible.

Ps: I had to modify my answer when I realized the fees you quoted were for per semester and not yearly. My apologies.

Not too worry, when you’re ready to apply, after creating your gic profile you’ll be asked some questions and your answers to the questions will determine the documents that you’ll be required to submit. But those three IMM Forns are compulsory though amongst others.

Hello @Theresaihez sorry for the late response, I wouldn’t advise that since it’s quite a huge amount of money and there’s been some negative feedback recently about Flutterwave. Your safest option would be Form A.

Go to your bank and ask them for Form A to make international tuition payment. They’ll take you through the next steps to follow.
