I guess, Americans are heavenly, that is why the streets of Atlanta, Chicago and New York are littered with drug dealers.

How many times do you find junkies littered on the streets of America.

Please, save me that righteous crap. You guys ruined Iraq with your lies and went to war against the wishes of the world. Illegally invaded a country and you come here with your righteous crap.

What about the way George W. Bush employed quacks to run Iraq and made ISIS rise.

Men Americans are terrible corrupt people go preach to your people after dropping a nuclear bomb on Hiroshima and Nagazaki, killing women and children. You come here preaching.

Please.
There is corruption in America. Like every other country in the world. What you will never see is the unbelievable mass corruption where almost every single person living there is mentally tuned towards corruption. That is the difference.

1. You "read", you are not sure that the money was given to siasia.
2. We all "read" that the same Mikel footed more than half the team's bills...

Now both statements are true then I say if he was wrong for giving siasia money, he shouldn't have also brought out money to foot bills..... Now are you happy?
Oga this thing no be arguement oh. If you follow news well, siasia has been complaining of non-payment! Where were these silly people in senate?! Where was the sports minister?!....
This is just Nigerian mentality, you don't help create something or put effort next thing once dividends land you start quoting all manner of intoxicated ethics.... Boss logically the senate is very WRONG! They would have been right if and only if they had supported this team! They were busy chasing pdp ghosts and now Dem wan use paperwork swipe this money.....
If it takes leading a protest I will do it.
That money belongs to them boys!!!
Siasia has suffered untellable hardship, you should have an idea what it means to not receive salary yet been expected to succeed.... And Mikel is richer than him NO DOUBT....
Whatever happens as a result of the money he dashed him is the fault of the stupid administration and nothing more....
Moreover is a professional and a rich one at that and he is well seasoned to know what his boundary of demands are from his coach... He has been known to be the one fighting for the team's welfare ever since....

My own case is those bloodsucking lazybones should just leave that money alone!

This two wrongs dont make a right logic won't work here because the first wrong (the administration) cant and won't be swept under the carpet....its all fair....

Why didn't they care about the team until d money landed?

Cash gifts can be given to anybody, the Olympic is over and he might not play under siasia again........

So make siasia no collect starve with I'm family and die because I'm be coach of Nigerian team when NFF never pay oliseh money finish.
The corrupt mentality at it's best. The ends don't justify the means. This is the same mindset you guys use to justify setting suspects on fire in the streets. There is always some way to justify your phucked up way of thinking. Don't take my word for it. Just google "should i give my boss cash gifts" and see what the results are. If it was the whole team pooling together to do it, then it would be a different matter, but one person in the team? "The Olympics is over and he might not play under siasia again". I am glad you said "might". God help you guys. Not even God can help you as a people. You are all too far gone. As long as money is involved, you will find a way to justify how you get it. By hook or crook. Smh.

There is a reason why you guys are known as the most corrupt people on earth. It is because of situations like this. You just don't know how to do things at all. Money clouds the mind in Nigeria. Thunder fire poverty.

We know about the challenges we face in this country. We understand how behind we are in a lot of things, especially documentation.

In this case, this is about a Japanese businessman hearing about the challenges a team he likes went through. He went there to assist the team.

I do not see that as a crime. If we are talking about a suspected criminal, it is a different case. This is a legit businessman. Then it gets worse when we consider the crooks who call themselves Politicians.

If they have a problem with the Dream Team members receiving Cash gifts, then these men have to stop looting the country dry and start providing for Nigerians.

Thanks for your contribution.
How exactly do you know he is a legitimate business man. Let me guess, because he is a billionaire.

Enlightening. Learnt something new but in the case of the Dream Team, I doubt the Japanese Billionaire can use that for Tax claims. Considering we are operating on similar laws of the US.

Look at this article of the couple.

http://reveilletax.com/blog/deduction-denied-tithes-and-offerings

No time to dig deep into the matter. However, there is a kind of in place to assist bodies that assist. There is a filing system for this. From the points so far, I do not see how the Dream Team can qualify for Tax claims
.
You are missing the point. The point of the whole discussion is there are a lot of things about the way the outside world conducts business that Nigerians are not aware of. And that is not good.
PoliticsRe: It's Wrong For Mikel, Siasia To Accept $390,000 Gift - Senator Ogba by pippimp(m): 12:53am On Aug 26, 2016
TheGoodJoe:

You can only claim a tax deduction for gifts or donations to organisations that have the status of deductible gift recipients (DGRs).

https://www.ato.gov.au/Individuals/Income-and-deductions/

Definitely, the Dream Team does not fall within the DGR.
So now you understand that you can claim donations. In the U.S, the NFF, not the dream team would have that status.
PoliticsRe: It's Wrong For Mikel, Siasia To Accept $390,000 Gift - Senator Ogba by pippimp(m): 12:36am On Aug 26, 2016
TheGoodJoe:

You file every year. I have heard that. I am saying, taxation does not work like that. Look at the cases going on with Mascherano, Neymar and Messi. Have you heard them talk about money they donated.

When we say Income tax, you can not say you donated your income tax. It does not work like that. Same goes to other taxes.

You pay taxes, not donate taxes. It is very logical.
Well, this is how it works in the U.S. Tax is deducted every month for 12 months. Starting January the following year, you have to file your returns. Your tax is basically a loan to the government if you earn below a certain per annum income which will be refunded back to you. Now, there are exemptions that you can claim while filling. This does not have per annum income restrictions. If you bought a car, bought a house, bought a fuel efficient car like a hybrid, donated money, paid tithe, had a baby, had two babies, had three babies, lost money in the stock market, Got a babysitter while you went to work the whole year or was looking for work, etc, the government will pay all or a percentage back to you,. Look it up. Google is your friend.

TheGoodJoe:

You are guessing. He is not laundering with Naija. You can not claim you donated money. That is not how taxation works. You did not hear him say he donated to other teams. He reacted to the challenges he heard our National dream team faced.

You can donate after taxes. Not before.
Which is why you need to go back and read my initial post. I did not say he is a money launderer. I said that is how money is laundered. You brought up the issue of "if he was" a money launderer. And in the U.S, you can claim money you donated. Even money you paid as tithe in church you can claim. I file every year. Do You?
PoliticsRe: It's Wrong For Mikel, Siasia To Accept $390,000 Gift - Senator Ogba by pippimp(m): 12:15am On Aug 26, 2016
TheGoodJoe:

The man is not claiming he donated more than stated. It is written clearly, photo of his letter is online. $390,000. What is during tax season? When it comes to taxes, you can not give excuse that you donated money. You get taxed from your incomes and business dividends. You pay taxes before donating.

This man is a Billionaire. $390,000 is nothing to him.
Again, you need to get informed. You don't understand taxation and you are trying to lecture me about something i file for every year. Ok. Plus, 390,000 in ten places in 3,000,000. So lets say he donated into different places, it would add up.
PoliticsRe: It's Wrong For Mikel, Siasia To Accept $390,000 Gift - Senator Ogba by pippimp(m): 12:05am On Aug 26, 2016
TheGoodJoe:

The money the Billionaire gave the Nigerian team can not be money the man is laundering because he gave it out. When money is laundered, it is for keeps.
Like i said, you need to get informed. It is just that you are looking at it from the point of view of a Nigerian. Nigerians don't do things the normal way. In the U.S, lets say i wanted to launder money, a good way would be to donate part of it. Why, Because during tax season, i can claim donated funds 100%. Meaning the government would refund the funds back to me clean.

TheGoodJoe:

Seriously? A man wants to launder money and he donates it publicly. You also think Mikel can not give Coach Siasia ten thousand dollars.
You need to get informed. You can launder money publicly or privately. You don't announce that it is laundered funds. e.g, setting up car dealerships, buying land, buildings etc.

You are wonderfully wrong...
There is Absolutely nothing wrong in Mikel giving his coach money....national team coaches dey suffer....mikel earns more than enough at Chelsea. Dont bring that due process bullxhit on here... A donation is a donation, the name of the association has nothing to do with it! Whhere were they when the boys were strandedhuh Moving from hotel to hotel? Fending for demselves? All of a sudden money has landed an ijiots are now part of parcel of decision making.... That's absolute nansense boss..... Absolute nansense . Even a 5year old will not see the sense in that once its explained...

After sitting on the senate floor and not doing anything for their constituencies, living and buying massive houses In Abuja, you wan come awoofly siphon the sweat donation made to.the poor boys who did all they could despite lack of supporthuh, oh please that official crap is nasty. Seen or heard.
That the senate is corrupt is not the issue. Just because they are corrupt does not mean all Nigerians should be corrupt. If everyone does business like that in the country, then how does the country get better. It is not mikel's job to pay siasia's salary. It would have been different if all the members of the team pooled together to donate for him. His salary not being paid points to a bigger problem. Like i said, the corrupt mentality in Nigeria, groomed for decades, has clouded the way Nigerians think. It is the same brazen corruptive mentality that gives a policeman the confidence to stand in the middle of the street and take bribe. He see's nothing wrong with it. If he did, he would not be that confident doing it. Same as you don't see a problem with a subordinate giving his manager cash gifts. To you it is normal. But it is not normal.

U can see the kind of people representing us
They are right. It's just that the poverty situation in Nigeria clouds the minds of it's citizens. If the donation had been made privately without all the fanfare it would have been a different matter. The associations name is attached to the donation. This is how you launder money. In normal societies there would have been serious scrutiny on the donation. Plus, to make matters worse, Mikel gave his share of the money to his coach. How Nigerians don't see a problem with that boggles the mind. Subordinates don't go about giving cash gifts to their managers. It gives room for quid quo pro. Only in an insanely corrupt society filled with unbelievably corrupt citizens would this have been seen to be ok.

Its good you started with that, because obviously you didn't understand my comment. I said "discipline", not " flogging". Are you saying a guardian has no right or authority to discipline his wards who commit fornication or any other sort of crime/sin? Have we really fallen to that level of moral decadence as a nation?
My bad. I thought you meant flogging. Discipline yes. Flogging no.

When you resort to flogging you've lost. There is a deeper problem you are neglecting. Flogging is a temporary solution to permanent problem.

Since the two of them were living with him, the Bishop somehow had a right to discipline them for immoral behavior. But why go the extent of humiliating them publicly?
If i understand your logic correctly, you have no problem with the pastor flogging them but you have a problem with him doing it publicly. Really? Bros, one is as bad as the other. Africans especially do not have problem solving skills which is why they resort to violence at every opportunity.
