Seun, why is this still on Front Page? It's clearly fake news. Your mods should verify stories before pushing them out. This forum shouldn't be a dumping place for clickbait content from Facebook and TikTok. It didn't take me 10 secs to figure out it was fake. A 'big' story like that with no reputable source. The very first line of Hakimi's purported quotes gave away the dubious nature of the story. "My mom said. ." . That should have set the alarm bells ringing for anyone with half a brain. The fact that people are still discussing this shows how gullible human beings can be.If with everything we witnessed at AFCON 2025, you still believe any of these Moroccans have a shred of sportsmanship in them, then I have Aso Rock and MMA to sell to you. |
Harry Kane plays football today. . |
DissTroy:Yep. You are right. I totally forgot about Asa and Bez. My guy BM dey try sha. |
Neymar in his first three years at PSG was the best version of Neymar but people are not ready for that conversation. He took his game to another level there but injuries did him dirty. I hate it when people make it seem like Neymar failed to live up to his potential. He didn't win a Ballon d'or but for a while, he was the best player in the world not named Messi or Ronaldo. He is Brazil's second highest goal scorer behind Pele. Maybe he could have achieved more but 80% of players would kill to have the career he's had. More than the trophies and individual achievements, his legacy lives on in the new generation of players like Musiala and Lamine Yamal, players who continue to pay homage to the man who inspired their game with his artistry on the pitch. Ain't no one trying to be the next Mo Salah, except Arab kids. |
popizaino:My bad. No vex. E don finish? ![]() |
andrewbaba44:People need to put more respect on Ney's name. Hazard fanboys dey do their own, now it's Liverpool fans trying to sneak Salah into the conversation. How can you watch Neymar play and compare him to someone who just fills up the stat sheet like Salah? |
DissTroy:Nooo! You don't rate Ejay? You fall my hand small, bro. I get the Ajebutter22 comparison but BM makes better music. Blackmagic was the first big Alté artiste on Nigerian radio. His lyricism is good enough for someone who isn't a flat-out rapper. He has that laid-back style as Naeto C but I don't think he makes himself out to be cool. He is just chill. |
popizaino:This man, ehn. You just wan dey stress me. Why did you post that graphic in the first place? |
popizaino:Popi, no vex. I don gree for you ![]() |
raumdeuter:I tire for Popi oh. Busquets was a better DM than Yaya. Toure was more of a CM than DM. His best seasons was as a CM with attacking freedom. |
popizaino:Don't try to wriggle your way out of this now. You posted a graphic with fake stats that showed how Casemiro was 'outperforming' Rice with goals and assists. |
raumdeuter:I deliberately left out Makelele because Popi could decide to muddy the waters by claiming Makelele was an out-and-out DM and not fit for comparison. |
popizaino:What are you even saying?! No one is asking DMs not to chip in with attacking contributions. What we are saying is it is silly to judge them by that. Rodri didn't win the Ballon d'or because of his goals. He did by virtue of his performances of which his goals were a function of. |
popizaino:It's a bonus, I agree. But it's not even vaguely important as an attribute for a defensive midfielder. How many goals and assists did Kante register for Chelsea again? |
raumdeuter:Yeah. It's going to be really tight. Stanisic has been in good form lately so I don't think we will miss him much. The dreaded international break is just around the corner. Fingers crossed no one gets injured. |
drisham:The stat looked shady on first look but i was just more bothered about him using goal contributions as a metric for rating defensive midfielders. Casemiro averaging one assist every 3 games? Lol. |
popizaino:How you go dey use goals and assists dey judge DM-CM? Popi, your takes these days get as e be oh. |
Man, am I so happy that demon Courtois won't be playing against us. Make everybody on our side just dey fit. It's about time we break this jinx. |
NinjaMetahuman:I like how you think ![]() |
Omoh. . Dem give Morocco AFCON ke? This night just can't get any crazier. |
This one na RamoniAtanda ![]() |
So sad to see Bodo go out like this. Football can be a fairytale, but it can also be a horror flick. Brutal. |
iamoyindamola:You gerrit. Valverde sef no go allow am rest ![]() |
Sven Ulreich's injury has got me wondering about the intensity of top-level football. I'm not oblivious to the fact that these guys are elite athletes but I think we take this for granted at times. This is someone who, regardless of his status as a third-choice GK, trains everyday and then the first real game he gets in forever, he picks up an injury and is out for 6 weeks. Na so football hard reach? And this is even a goalkeeper, I can't imagine how it is for outfield players. Davies is picking up one injury after the other like say na fight he dey fight, no be ball he dey play. The physical demands of football at the highest level is crazy. No wonder how our Grandpa GK is getting injured every two weeks. |
iamoyindamola:Lol. The whole thing is crazy. Our first four goalkeepers are out injured and we will most likely be fielding a 16-year-old in our next game. There is really no cause for panic though. Urbig should return for the weekend game and Neuer should be back in training after the international break. We will just have to make do with our baby keeper against Atalanta. Thank God we have 5-goal lead from the first leg. Imagine facing Real Madrid with a rookie 16 year old in goal ![]() |
raumdeuter:He should eff off. The least he could have done was check VAR. But he was quick to rush to the pitchside monitor for Jackson's red. His admission doesn't change the fact that Diaz will miss our next match. |
raumdeuter:That Madrid game na im dey my mind like this. The injured players should be back by then and hopefully no one gets injured again. If we can't beat Madrid this time, omo, make dem just sell the club. |
raumdeuter:There was contact and it should have been a pen. There should have been a VAR check and no way should Diaz have been sent off. I'm not one to beech about refereeing decisions given how dominant we are in the league but when these things keep happening, one can't help but feel we are being targeted. |
I think it's time to admit there is an agenda against Bayern in the Bundesliga. I have ignored it all this while but it's clear as daylight now. I don't know if this is the DFL's way of making the league competitive but shame on them. That was a penalty and the ref didn't even decide to consult VAR but went on to dismiss Diaz. |
raumdeuter:I think that Lewy record is playing a part in all these. Kane has already missed one game and is itching to get back on track. Knowing our luck, na to dey pray till final whistle say make he no injure. |
raumdeuter:I agree with most of what you've said. Kane should not be risked no matter what. But I think we can still put up a fight. This is one level of difficulty we are not used to so we might as well make the most of it. One man down, one goal down, 45 mins, can we get something out of the game? Seems like a serious challenge given how imperious we've been this season. I say we go for it. |
patrickmuf:Something is wrong with him. Chelsea should be the ones paying us for taking a liability like him off their hands. |
