brain54:Lol. Your blood too dey hot. The guy actually agreed with everything you said. The sarcasm in his post just flew over your head. |
Ibime:That was actually Amoura, he plays for Wolfsburg. He has since apologised for his behaviour after plenty of backlash. Apparently, there is history. They say the Late Patrice Lumumba's anti-colonial principles and ideals played a part in inspiring Algeria's fight for independence from France. So mocking someone that stood as a symbol of his beliefs was seen as insulting his memory. I hear the Algerian FA have even extended an invitation to AFCON Lumumba to visit Algeria to smooth things over, which is nice if you ask me. |
AFCON na tournament of memes, walahi. Just saw a pic of that DR Congo Lumumba Statue man collapsing the moment Algeria scored a last-minute goal to knock them. O lu le! Jokes aside, I couldn't help but feel bad for the man. He stood up there with tears in his eyes after the match. All of those hours spent standing, hand raised. To add insult to injury, an Algerian player mocked him by imitating him and then 'collapsing'. That was just brutal. Lumumba-statue has been the supporter of the tournament and at the very least deserves to be nominated for the FIFA The Best Fan Award for this year. I would like to even see him at the World Cup, IF DRC qualifies( I know, I know )No worry, AFCON Lumumba, the Super Eagles will avenge you on Saturday. |
Bluelines69:Lol. Leroy is Liam's dad?! I had no idea until now. I always suspected they were related but I never for once thought he was his dad. I used to watch him on FanZone with Don Hutchinson some years ago. Btw, he is 61! Omo, black don't crack true true. |
Ibime:Kai. See escape route Primate wan do Remontada oh! |
E be like Primate Ayodele eye blur for that vision wey e get There appeared to be a breakdown in the transmission, decoding and reception of that prophecy Na why e go mention Lookman instead of Osimhen. Lookman was involved alright, not just in the way he expected. It is now clear to all and sundry that Osimhen is the weapon fashioned against the Super EaglesI hear he has threatened to leave camp. Abeg, make dem epp am pack im bags. Good riddance! |
Kimbeast:Of course, I don't really want Nigeria to get knocked out. But a message has to be sent. And with someone like Osimhen, a fine and an apology won't do. You people make it look like Osimhen is Messi or R9. Haven't we lost matches with Osimhen in the side? E no play AFCON final? If Ronaldo and Salah dey chop bench, who tf is Osimhen? |
Kikelomogbenga:You are embarrassing yourself, man. Whether it was Bruno or Lookman doesn't make things right. This is not the first time we've seen Osimhen talk down on his teammates, Lookman included. The idiot thinks he's perfect and everyone else is beneath him. Ego of Zlatan, ability of Lukaku. |
I think people are losing sight of the fact that the Lookman issue was just one of many incidents. The fool actually took himself out of the game, strolling like it was FT. He even had the nerve to ask to be substituted. Chelle, fucck up. He should have left him on that pitch. Make e do im worst. What nonsense?! Anyone still defending Osimhen after everything that happened last night should be ashamed of themselves. |
My blood still dey boil from the nonsense wey Osimhen do last night. It's more annoying when you see people defending the nonsense just because he is your fave. That behaviour was downright disgusting and it's not the first time he's done it. Eric Chelle needs to stamp his authority and put that clown in his place. Enough of this nonsense. There has to be consequences. Bench him in the QF. I don't care if we get knocked out. No player is bigger than the team. Play Akor as a 9, make Chuks come in. He's in great form atm which also helps. Ronaldo chop bench for Portugal at the last World Cup when e misbehave and heaven no fall. A whole Cristiano. Who be Osimhen papa? People keep saying we are useless without Osimhen. They forget we are actually playing as a team now. The structure is now there. Ndidi has Onyeka to help out in midfield. Iwobi is balling, Akor is cooking. And it's not like Osimhen has exactly set the tournament on fire. Osimhen is not as indispensable as his fanboys think. We failed to qualify for the last World Cup and he was present. Last AFCON, he was toothless and couldn't do Jack. Lookman should be protected at all cost. I would hate for anything to affect his confidence. Make Osimhen no try dey intimidate am. He is also an AFOTY like him. Shout out to him for downplaying the incident post-match. Very professional. |
My admiration for this man knows no bounds. His dedication to his job, even in the face of danger and intimidation is inspiring. A true Nigerian hero. One that does not need the validation of a national honor from the corrupt system he fights. Of course, they would never recognize his works. He exposes them. They can keep their OONs and MONs. Fisayo is a shining example and a role model for the younger generation but dumb Nigerian youths would rather cheer on a noisemaker and cloutchaser like VDM and their other fave yeyebrities. The average Nigerian youth is ignorant and shallow in thinking. It's the painful truth. I really weep for the future of this country. You wonder where the change will come from. Well done, Mr Soyombo and keep shining the light on the evils and ills of this rotten system. More power to your elbow. |
So, Amori don go be that. Chai. . ![]() |
Make Lennart Karl just stay off social media for the next couple of weeks. Fans are angry, and for good reason too. This is a complete PR disaster. I can't entirely blame the boy. He only acted his age, but man, this doesn't look good. Whoever thought it was a good idea sending a teenager with zero media training on fan club duties? Real Madrid are now aware of this information, and they will be circling like the sharks they are. Which puts Bayern in a difficult position when it comes to contract negotiations. So much for Karl being the next Thomas Muller. This is not the way to start the year. I mean Jamal and Phonzie only just got back, things are looking good and now this. I just pray all this backlash doesn't affect the boy's confidence and form. He is an important player for us. |
One crazy twist in this title race would be Semenyo doing the damage against Arsenal today before joining City. The guy wants to join City ASAP, but I suspect Pep may have called him to hold on a bit and play today's match. City need a favour from at least one of the other 18 teams if they are to win the league this season. Obviously, Pep can't lend Bournemouth Haaland and Foden, but he can at least let them keep Semenyo, even if it's only for 24 hours He's actually more useful to City rn at Bournemouth, than at the Etihad. Semenyo should be fully motivated today. Last home game for Bournemouth and he has a chance to become a City fan favourite before even kicking a ball. |
WhoDeyHause:Welcome back, my guy. |
popizaino:Err. . You do know there can be more than one correct answer to that question, right? Anelka is very much correct. |
popizaino:Nicolas 'Le Sulk' Anelka, the greatest of all football journeymen. |
Stanbaba30:Na fish?? E no go pass fish Wicked olongbo ![]() |
Sportsweb:Na Sunderland City dey play next na. I think Haaland is pissed off already at this point. I saw him looking somehow subdued after their last home game against West Ham, despite scoring two goals and I was wondering what the matter was. Haaland is a force of nature, bro. That hunger for goals is only surpassed by CR7. He probably knows about Aguero's hat trick record so he will be gunning for it. His frustration is understandable ![]() |
rooftops:Actually na over 5 hrs when you factor in half-time breaks and added time .Amen oh! |
rooftops:This is the best AFCON yet. The entertainment value has been high. There have been more goals than usual and there's also been drama. A'mean Daka nearly broke his neck celebrating a last-minute equaliser for Zambia in their first match. Na only for AFCON, that kain thing fit happen ![]() AFCON na giiran tournament normally. I will never forget AFCON 2019. There were 3 games on a particular matchday and all three ended goalless. I blamed myself for watching that day. 4 hours of my life I'm never getting back. |
Just realized Haaland is yet to bag a hat trick this season, despite being on 19 goals already. 7 braces and no hat trick. Maybe he should become a dentist ![]() |
iamoyindamola:Na Trevor012 do am. Melvyn11, oya fall out! ![]() |
Unlimited22:Hahaha. Na temporary amnesia o, my doc. Merry Christmas, bro. Hope you are having a wonderful time. |
hensben:Lmao. This brother sha. Like we don't have family men and fathers on this same thread. We are all bachelors with so much spare time on our hands, you know ![]() It's nice to hear from you anyway and Merry Christmas to you and your family. |
Throwback Thursday and I rediscovered this track by Sound Sultan. I think it's a play on Falz' Ello Bae that dropped that year. Kemi Adetiba did a great job with the video and Saheed Balogun as the cuckold losing his shiit at the end is hilarious af. The "Emi gan ti je nibe oh' bit at the end naim finally kill me ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sH-uyuUy1Pg Fun fact: Sound Sultan was an ardent Arsenal fan so seeing him in that Chelsea jersey was so funny. R.I.P Sound Sultan. He was our own Donald Glover. Jack of all trades, master of all. |
I've been bumping to A-Q's God's Engineering 3 lately and Class of '66 is my favourite on the album. It's an interesting take on Nigeria's political journey. A history lesson in less than 5 mins. The storytelling and lyricism is top-notch and A-Q delivers as always. Wish there were more tracks like this. No be everything be yansh and bress. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtdmfX-gf38&pp=ygUQQS1RIGNsYXNzIG9mICc2Ng%3D%3D |
I've been watching some funny Cole Palmer videos and I can't stop laughing. Is the boy avtistic or wot? ![]() |
Capaldi:Lol. How many times are we going to tell you people there is no release clause in Olise's contract? Y'all can keep on dreaming sha. Olise is not going to end his career at Bayern but he is definitely not leaving for at least 3 more years. We've only just extended two of his best buddies in football, in Jamal and Phonzie. So, no chance. You people will have better luck trying for Harry Kane. |
iamoyindamola:Lmao. Jesse has been moving crazy these last few weeks. For him mind nau, na art he dey perform Na all these see finish dey make Davido wey be im junior dey talk trash to am. That 'i go buy your life' talk was downright disrespectful. Credit to Jesse for keeping things civil though. A malicious person would have destroyed that fool with a single one-liner. "But with all your money, you couldn't buy . ." But Jago is too sedated these days to even bother. Baba deleted his harmless reply come dey quote Bible verse E later come back three days after dey demand public apology in 7 days I just confuse.Jesse go dey alright las las. |
