iamoyindamola:I don dey understand why fans for here dey swear for am on a weekly basis. No player don ever frustrate me pass this guy. My blood dey boil anytime I see am for pitch. Timbros, if I hear you defend Jackson anywhere for this thread, me and you go get problem. |
pkasso:I dey beg you in the name of God. |
Popi, I take God beg you, rest! |
iamoyindamola:You sef dey count am? The curses wey I don read here today ehn. |
Unlimited22:Hahaha. A taste of their own medicine, doc. |
Andrew, come see your Barca brother oh ![]() https://www.101greatgoals.com/football/champions-league/blundering-barcelona-fan-goes-to-wrong-st-james-park-and-ends-up-in-exeter-not-newcastle/ |
raumdeuter:Don't be fooled, bro The boys say he is quite extroverted in the dressing room. I think he just gets self-conscious when he is on camera. |
raumdeuter:Just before the first leg of the semifinals. That way, there is zero risk of missing the final except a player gets sent off in the 2nd leg of the semifinals. Additionally, players who have already served their one-match suspension for three YCs will miss a game if the yellow cards pile up to 5 or 7. In our case, if Kimmich and Olise pick up bookings in both legs of our QF tie, they will miss the first leg of the semifinals if we get there. |
raumdeuter:He is definitely not playing that second leg. I'm 100% sure of it. The question is, can he navigate those two QF games before the semifinal stage without getting booked? |
Who are these cho-cho-cho people from DPA asking UEFA if they will investigate Kimmich and Olise's cards? Can't they just mind their business fgs? E go too pain me if anything comes out of this. |
I couldn't help but laugh reading JK's response to if he deliberately got booked. He made quite the compelling case should UEFA decide to investigate ![]() Now, I'm thinking Upamecano not being able to get booked was part of the plan. Maybe Kompany didn't want to run it too close. Having all three players suspended would have looked fishy considering the scoreline. All in all, UEFA should calm down. They did us dirty with that Diaz ban against PSG. Make dem look away this time jor. |
raumdeuter:Make we dey look sha. E still fit work am out. Na now that im brain touch go make sense. |
pkasso:Olise and Kimmich got themselves booked and will miss the second leg. E remain Upamecano ![]() |
raumdeuter:Sad note on what has been a fantastic evening. Gutted for the kid. Is this a case of rushing him back too quick? He was injured not too long ago. |
raumdeuter:Which of our boys are on the suspension tightrope again? This is the perfect time to wipe the slate clean for the rest of the knockouts. Kompany should do a Mourinho. |
swiz123:Make una come carry una load, abeg. That guy is hopeless. |
raumdeuter:Wetin be this, boss? Akpovie really mean business tonight. |
What a half. Unarguably our best this season. That weekend rest did the boys a whole lot of good. Our play has been sharp and incisive. I don't want to see Kane anywhere near that pitch. Whatever it was that didn't allow him start, it's not worth risking it. Jackson can continue fooling, today na im day. |
andrewbaba44:I find it annoying that Ballon d'or debates nowadays have been reduced to who wins the most trophies. The peak of it was when some were pushing Carvajal for Bd'or in 2024 because he won La Liga, UCL and Euros. Lol. I've always believed performances should come first. It is afterall an INDIVIDUAL award. Trophies count also but they shouldn't be the deciding factor. Neither of Zubi and Rice have played at a Bd'or level this season. They've been decent but not spectacular. |
andrewbaba44:Alisson is better, bro. Shey na because he no dey fly upandan like dem De Gea, abi? ![]() Even the stats back it up. Go and check Alisson's Goals Prevented metric in his best seasons and compare to Joe Hart's. Check their save percentage while you are it, also. Alisson is the best 1v1 goalkeeper in the history of the PL. I talk am with my chest. |
andrewbaba44:You are making the mistake of holding up team and individual achievements as the only marker of quality. Let me humour you, Victor Valdez has more La Liga titles and Zamora trophies than Iker Casillas. Can we say he was the better goalkeeper? Alisson is a better goalkeeper than Hart in all aspects. He is a better ball-playing goalkeeper and a better shot stopper. The proof is in the eye test. Alisson is in the conversation for best goalkeeper in PL history, Joe Hart isn't. |
andrewbaba44:Lol. Alisson is a better GK than Ederson. Everybody knows that. Joe Hart was good for City but Alisson is definitely better. He is arguably the best 1v1 GK in PL history and was an integral part of one of the best PL teams ever. His performance in that title-winning 2019/20 season alone trumps anything Hart has done in his career. |

popizaino:You go play Trent in a 442? Without extra midfield cover? God help him if CR7 switches over to the left. E don die be that ![]() |
popizaino:No Scholes? You've got to be kidding me. As for the 2010's team, I'm taking Mahrez out for Aguero and then swapping him with Salah. Robertson should also be starting ahead of Bale at LB. 2000's team edges it for me. Btw, no love for Trent from you? ![]() |
nihilistjnr:This man! Where have you been all this while? Good to see you are still around. Lol. I was thinking the same thing earlier. Ibime wished for a Dembele, dem give am Bakayoko ![]() |
BlueRayDick:I think your points are valid. Arteta has little or no margin for error this season. The pressure of a title race means there is no time to be coddling a young player going through a difficult period. Another reason may be Arteta's fixation on that 4-CB defence system, which doesn't help MLS as he is not the most defensively astute. His talent is undeniable and I hope he gets back on track. He must be upset seeing his agemate Nico O'Reilly balling for City now. A move in the summer might be the best thing for him given that Arteta isn't even willing to give him a chance in midfield. |
popizaino:Oh, MLS. I totally forgot about him. He started out as a midfielder like your guy Trent, but Arteta converted him to LB. Iamoyindamola, Blueraydick, come, what happened to this talented young man after the wonderful season he had last year? He went from being a potential starter for England at LB to being 3rd choice at Arsenal. Did his form dip so bad or is it just Arteta's poor record of managing youngsters. |
BlueRayDick:I was wondering why Caicedo and Hincapie didn't square off after that tussle, then I remembered they are team mates at the Ecuadorian NT. |
popizaino:Dembele no go give your plenty goals and assists but you see that control. . Very few midfielders today can match Dembele's tekkers. The only weakness in his game I can remember was his reluctance and inability to shoot and I don't even think that passes as a major weakness. Spurs tried replacing him with Ndombele, who was also technically-gifted but lacked the stamina to make it in the PL. He would ball out in the first half, but few minutes into the second half he would be running on fumes. His constant fitness issues didn't help him also; he always looked a bit overweight. |
popizaino:MASSIVELY underrated. He randomly crossed my mind this afternoon and I had to check out his comps again. Can't believe I forgot how good he was. That amount of skill and power in just one body. You see that move he does shielding the ball, holding an opponent off with his arm, dem no born anybody well. See as grown men and pesin papa dey jabo. Dembele could have played for any of the biggest clubs in the world. I'm surprised he stayed at Spurs that long. |
How good was Mousa Sidi Yaya Dembele? Damn. . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olnIp0EiZ5s&pp=ygUibW91c2EgZGVtYmVsZSB0b3R0ZW5oYW0gaGlnaGxpZ2h0cw%3D%3D |
