Most guys and gals can be mere friends but not in all circumstances. They can be when the environment is not friendly for the consumation of the mere friends affair.

But @ Tayotina. Being friend after the break depends on individuals.

I therefore put, the best way to break a relationship is by stopping to relate with him/her in all respect. In all respect, that is, stop relating with him/her either by pleading for him/her to understand or by whatever. If not, there's no break then. For if you even plead, as you plead, there's still a relationship but when you are off, no more relationship.

So, the best way is by being off. Stop the relationship is the best way.

Y not? I have always said it, the basis for my marriage will never be "who is willing to marry me? It will be who I love and who loves me."

She may be richer than I am or whatever but I will marry her if the above basis for my marriage is intact..

@ Angelgal, talking about economical independence, I agree. But saying that a girl at 30 shouldn't start panicking, I disagree.

A girl's right age for marriage is 20 - 30. And 20 is the welcome-to-marriage age whereas 30 is the bye-bye-to-marrige age.

So, a girl at 30 and not marry should look for a guy and woo and try to successfully get him for marriage. Why should a girl at 30 not woo a guy for a relationship and possibly for marriage if a girl at 18 can do that.

But I trust in God more than I trust my own self if you are a girl and you are 30 not yet married pray, for nothing with God is impossible.

A man's age for marriage is at least 25 and at most 30. So, should a girl's be above 30 if not that the enemy of the people covers her face with a veil but today, all such veils are removed in Jesus' name; Amen. For the Muslim in the house in Allah's name; Amin.

@ Uchesco, true talk. But for me I will not say no; I will give her a little credit for her courage. In that manner and gradually ladies who are more interested in a guy and a gal cohabiting will come out plain naturally.

I, like the Debugger(one of the forumists) Would only support Seun's view if the case of the rejection of a lover by the other is considered strictly though I will not do it no matter the case.

However, a friend did it sometime ago but just as a way to avenge himself on his ex for what she did; it succeed at first but turned diastrous later cos the ex is a senior to her sister(the new lover).
