Hello Guys, I submitted a physical application at VFS on 2nd August but haven’t heard anything. I want to go on a vacation from 12-20th September. Any luck that I may hear from SA visa people soon? I’m so unsettled . |

Is there anyone was recently refused and has gotten another interview date? Please did you select previously refused on the CGi portal? |

NaijaGoingMaple: Hi Everyone, please I have 2 questions and would be grateful for your response: 1. would one be eligible for student loan if you have a Canadian PR? 2. If the US has refused you study visa twice, Will having a PR help to change the case? |

Good afternoon, please I wanted to know the average time it takes to get passport request from IRCC after submitting all the documents stated in the ITA. I would appreciate your response so I can plan my mind properly. |

I don’t believe this. When you book an appointment, it shows on your CGI portal. Is it that he did not even bother to check his CGI to confirm the date that the agent claimed to have booked for him? Also, you send the booking confirmation to yourself and the email sender will be CGI/US embassy email. He did not ask the agent to do this from his portal? Very relaxed and trusting o. obajoey: 1 Like |

Hi Everyone, my friend had an interview earlier this week in Lagos and was issued a white paper under the section 221(g) because the visa officer wanted him to provide additional documents. Please does anyone know how he can schedule another interview so that he can bring the additional documents to the officer and get his visa. Also does he need to pay a new MRV receipt? I really hope that he doesn’t have to go and select a date using the regular scheduling cause there are no dates. Grateful for a prompt response because resumption is around the corner. |

Is this Abuja or Lagos? Check if you can get date in Lagos. Lagos released over 100 slots for 13th July today. Olu1991: |

This must be Lagos embassy cause they opened slots for July 11 today. I think they want to come in on that day cause applicants are a lot. Abuja rescheduled applicants for July 11 to August earlier this week so I think Lagos know what they are doing. If you noticed, all the slots for July 11 that they released today were for morning hours so I suppose they elected to work half day. Don’t reschedule, if the change their mind they will automatically assign a new date to you. coconutsiwa: 2 Likes |

Congratulations and all the best at school! Please The part where the Visa officer spoke about the other fully funded program and your return to your alma mater in Nigeria, did you include this information in the “reason for refusal section” of your DS 160 form? Tinafusty: |

photoberi: I know some reapplicants were approved in Lagos o and they chose Regular cause no date has been open in the refused portal. Are you sure your contact told the whole truth about their DS-160? The visa officers don’t even deal with checking appointments. That is done before you enter the visa interview room. Reapplicants were given visa on Friday. Please check with your contact again so that we can know what really happened cause some people in same shoes as your contact had their visa approved in the same Lagos on 10th June. |

Silversurfer1: Keep searching. Join WhatsApp groups so that you can receive update and be part of the group search team. If you are within 60 days of your resumption, apply for an emergency appointment. 1 Like |

Ogiii: Does anyone genuinely know if bulk dates have ever been released for Abuja? It seems it’s only Lagos that has been receiving bulk dates. Would be really grateful to hear from you. I got denied in Lagos and currently looking to go to Abuja but it seems the earliest date for days now has been April 2023. I am considering reapplying to Lagos as time is of the essence. |

Guys, I was denied visa and I am trying to schedule a new appointment at Abuja. My CGI portal is showing that my passport is still at the embassy. What does this mean? I can’t find any date when I click the button that previously denied applicants can use to get a date. Does it have anything to do with the fact that the portal still says that my passport is still at the embassy? |
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Plannie22: 12:23pm On Jun 04, 2022 |
Fescoblack: On the CGI portal there are two buttons for getting dates: one is for those who have been previously denied a visa in the last 6 months while the other button is for fresh applicants. You can’t book an appointment under the fresh applicant button if you fall under the previously denied category. That would amount to lying and their is a statement to this effect on the CGI portal. |

Tinafusty: Would that not be lying? There is a warning on the page about lying. 2 Likes |

Hi Guys, I was denied visa in Lagos. I’m trying to reapply and get a new date in Abuja but the portal says no available date. Please does anyone know how I may get a date or any group I can join to keep watch? It seems reapplication are in a different date portal and have a tougher time getting dates |

I suggest your dad pays the required sum into your account. Execute a deed of gift with your dad and have a notary public attest to the deed of gift. Attach a birth certificate and maybe pictures of you together that would suffice. That way they only see the money (gift) he paid to your account and there would be no need for him to bring his account statement. I used a similar method. In my case, it was my sister that gave me the money (gift). So it was just my account statement and the deed of gift that I submitted as proof of personal funds in addition to the scholarship from the school. Bayor65: 2 Likes |

Hi guys, Just a quick question, please. My admission has to be deferred to next year January. PPR had been approved. If I get my passport stamped and I decide not to go to the Canadian school in January anymore and apply to an American or UK school for next year. Will my application for the UK or a US visa next year be refused because I collected a Canadian student visa this year and did not end up going to the Canadian school? Please help. Good morning everyone, I would be grateful if anyone could assist with my query - I applied for a study permit in the middle of May but my application was made using the regular process and not the Nigerian Student Express. My account statement was submitted at the time of my application but I want to confirm if IRCC would at any stage still request for another bank account statement from me. I want to withdraw my money from my account and purchase dollars to protect it against devaluation. I require this confirmation because I don't want a situation where IRCC will request my bank statement again and I will not have money in it anymore. I look forward to receiving a response. |
