U yourself said and i quote "Deuteronomy he quoted is a Judaic scripture borrowed by Christianity."

neocortex: The truth be told, if the stoning of alleged adulterers was not sanctioned by the the bible , prophet muhamed won't have a source to copy from, so the bible is guilty by initiation. Agreed, but He could have copied from the NT since Jesus is the source of it. Muhammad claimed He was the comforter Jesus promised his disciples..the only way He could have at least proved was to copy Jesus Character. But He was the opposite of Jesus. So He failed. Jesus condemned stoning to death. He didn't promotes it. |

The matter is your comprehension of that line...
Biblical conflicting interpretation is from one source (BIBLE)
Quranic conflicting interpretation is from one source (Quran)
Hindu Veda conflicting interpretation is from one source (Veda)
You mistake is that you take the bible as a subject of point when i referred to these books but my assertions was very clear..
" Similarly the Quran and many other religious books also spark up different interpretation stemming from one source."
it is clear your infusion of bible into this assertion is of your own making and poor comprehensibility. The book i mentioned in the assertion is the subject of my point of that assertion not the bible... Please please understand it..
Not really you only need comprehend.. Ok, but i hope you saw that the OP said the BIBLE is not like other books yet so much doctrine has been created from it by the mentioned groups in the write-up? I did not in anyway reduced the bible but placed it as the only true book that all others copied from to form thier religion. As far as I know. The bible is divine. But men have problems to accept it the way it has presented itself. Hence so much misinterpretation. |

My mention of other books is that they all spark up different interpretations ... seriously you all should always read to comprehend.. You said the Coran and other books also spark up different interpretation stemming from one source. I said that source must be a true source. (The bible) Is there a matter with that? Scholar8200: I think that goes to establish the fact that it is not the work of man; only the Truth attracts the attention of the father of lies. he has been at it since Genesis 3!
Moreover, another problem is PRIDE!!!
(we are afraid/unwiling to discover that i) we have been deceived; ii) our 'exalted' clergy/pastor/priest/church founder did not do a thorough job; iii) the partial position/teaching satisfies and gratifies our flesh and relieves us of our responsibility and we dont want any contrary but Scripturally sound view that will deny us our pleasure/false assurances. iv) the man who left a ministry to start his own wants numbers and wants to be different from where he left even at the risk of distorting the Word etc
Besides, if you consider the claims and beliefs of various dissenters, you will notice a holding unto a position/teaching, carved out from a passage ignoring what was said about the same subject in other passages and a movement is born holding to that teaching while ignoring other passages that, if considered, would have set things in the right perspective. Thank you for your own view..don't you think we all misinterpret the bible sometimes? You mentioned the word "Pride" This is a Key word. The other time I saw someone telling the other Christian that only a true christians can understand the trinity doctrine. How can such a statement be valid when Christ did not even Mentioned that (He is God). Also Infant baptism and so many to be named.... |

johnydon22: You may do well to distrust anybody who claims to know so well what God wants or even writes it in a book, i have always noticed it is mostly in coincide to their own ideas and selfish egoistic dogma or sometimes culture.
Similarly the Quran and many other religious books also spark up different interpretation stemming from one source.
With every new interpretation hoping to outwit the old as the better one and with every knew emergence comes more conflict of ideas, dogma and doctrines which ultimately leads to emergence of another in reformation and ends up being exactly what others are.
Every person claims so strongly that theirs is the right one and others are simply deceived, where as in Christianity is spans to almost 40,000 distinct sects and doctrines all hewn from the same source each person interpreting it to suit his own personal ideas or ego.
The funny part is that they all claim some super spirity power is leading their distinct and most time contradicting interpretations.
It is either the spirit is drunk or maybe confused Or there simply was none in the whole saga just MEN interpreting one text to suit their own personal ego or conform to their own ideology of how it should be blaming it on a spirity stuff... The fact that all other books were copied from The Bible shows the bible the only Divine Book ever. Thanks for your contribution. |

Scholar8200: 5. Endeavour to differentiate the Pre-Incarnate Christ, the Incarnated Christ and the Resurrected Christ and the Words spoken at different times at the Revelation of each!
6. Your reference to Christ handing over all to the Father should be considered in the Light of that statement by Christ: John 17:11 New International Version All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them.
and a re-iteration in John 16:15
New International Version All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you." [ Christ handling the Kingdom is enough to refute Trinitarian s that Chriat is not the Almighty God. Its a simple and clear verse. But human al2ays like to make things difficult. This same character the Pharisees displayed but Jesus rebuked them. They made the sabbath a big bone in the throat. But Jesus came and told them they were over doing it. Same this we see in the church today. Why not let bible interprets itself. P.S. May I appeal that those pictures be re-considered; there are mysteries in the Bible that the full picture (we know in part 1 Corinth 13:12) can only be appreciated on the other side. Making caricature pictures now is similar to the mistake made in Romans 1:23 23 and exchanged the glory and majesty and excellence of the immortal God for [f]an image [worthless idols] in the shape of mortal man.." Ok. Now you show me how you think/picture the trinity. How do you think they look? One head with three bodies or three heads with one body . Or are they seperate? Same applies to he that think the Divine Nature must be explicable by the miserable inventions/discoveries of finite man - mathematics/physics!!! God did not make His word complicating. You people find it difficult to display the clearly the trinity without cracking of the brain. |

Scholar8200: Alright, let's clarify thoughts this way (some are questions while others are points you may choose to refute or endorse):
1. Was Jesus right when He said, before Abraham was I am"? Yes. 2. Jesus spoke about a Glory He had with the Father before the World was and in a latter verse (john 17:10) said, " all Mine are Thine and Thine are Mine" meaning There is a Distinctness and at the same time a Oneness. Pls this does not suggest a Duo; here Jesus was praying to the Father, not teaching/preaching. He gives us the full picture in Matthew 28:19. Look at Husband and wife in this picture. They share everything in common but they are separate beings. Yet the bible told us they are one flesh. Does thst make them one person Husband and wife share things in common. They are one. But seperate beings. 3. Paul the Apostle described the Incarnation of Christ that HE: 6 who, although He existed in the form and unchanging essence of God [as One with Him, possessing the fullness of all the divine attributes—the entire nature of deity], did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped or asserted [as if He did not already possess it, or was afraid of losing it]; 7 but emptied Himself [without renouncing or diminishing His deity, but only temporarily giving up the outward expression of divine equality and His rightful dignity] by assuming the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men [He became completely human but was without sin, being fully God and fully man]. Phil. 2:6-8 (AMP) Since this is so, I wont be surprised if His earthly life contained events such as weariness, hunger as well as speech such as WE Worship, My God etc Take a look at : Exodus 23:20-21 20 Behold, I send an Angel before you, to keep you in the way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. 21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him. 22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries. An angel has the power to forgive? And Has Go's name in Him Waoh, now Take note of: {{ But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak}} (the angels voice and God speaks) Lets see who this angel is according to the NT. 1 Corinthians 10:1-6 take note of verse (4) 2And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. 5But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. 6Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. The angel that followed the Israelites in the wilderness, He bears GOD'S name, He will not forgive if they provoked him. They must listen to His voice. Paul told us This angel was Christ. Do you agree with Paul here? [ |

I was thinking about this book that is filled with inspiration, a book not like others yet so much doctrine has been created from it. I want to ask this question for once: Are God's people confused of His Word or Did he make it confusing to them? Take a look at all these groups that have used the Bible: Wether we agree they are God's people or not is not the issue here. The Issue is why do men find it hard to agree on one Interpretation of the Bible.
Jehovah's Witnesses ,Mormons,Catholics Baptist, Unitarian , Jewish (Old Testament) Islam (Old Testament and some of the New) ,Pentecostal ,Anglican Calvinist and lots more.
All of them ve endless scriptures and so-called "old hand" that defend their particular interpretations of doctrine. They always disagree!
Most of them disagree on the methods and means of SALVATION! All using the same book! All surporting what they say with SCRIPTURE and OLD HAND!!! When one believe He is correct. He eventually says He has the holy spirit but the other have not. Who is really right and who will accept that the other is right and He is wrong?
I think God did not make the bible obscure..maybe man does. What do you think? |

Teophilus96: Yes take it or leave it, Christians do not worship the same God -but Muslims do. Take a good look at Christendom, you would observe that there are diverse /different doctrines. For instance a particular church in one of its belief would tell you not to put on a kind of dressing as it is not acceptable in the site of God while another church would ask you to put it on that the same God allows it. There was an emergent situation where by a Christian family has to locate an established church for help, instead of helping this family, they asked this family a question "Does any of you attend this church? If none of you is a member then we are sorry we can't help you "Just IMAGINE! Christians serving the same God? If this was to be in Islam, reverse would have been the case-they would be assisted, and is to show that they serve one God. There are so many other instances but for a brief and explicit thread I wouldn't want to state. Now the point is ;am not saying Christianity is not a good religion neither am I saying that Islam is a good nor bad religion., but that Christians should stop decieving themselves. From a realistic view I would say this with great conviction that CHRISTIANS DO NOT WORSHIP THE SAME GOD but MUSLIMS DO. Take it or leave it. By the way, Which God are you talking about? |

Who no man can see and live, who can not be tempted, who cannot die, who cannot pray to no one because he is the Almighty. And His son Jesus. Who told me he was sent by His father, Who told me He has a God, who told me that His God is my God, who pray to His God, Who told taught me how to pray to His God, who said that His God is greater than Him, who told Me that the words he speaks are not his but from His Father, who is sitting at the right hand of his God. Who will finally hand over the Kingdom to His father at the end of everything. And the Holy spirit which is the spirit of God. Which came upon Christ at his baptising day, who Christ promised, who came down on the apostles on the day Christ CHURCH was built, who is live in a Christian as a proof, who is still guiding true christians till date. Who is Jesus ? How did Jesus come into being ? Jesus is the promised Messiah, He is the son of God. The first born from the Dead. My Bible told me that Jesus came to being by a miraculous birth. The holy spirit came onto Mary. Voila. Can you tell me your own version too please.? Trinity is not a theory , its is fact Yet Jesus wasn't bold enough to state this fact. Christianity Etc › Re: See How This Equation And Analogy Prove The Idea Of The Trinity Wrong by plappville(f): 10:31pm On Nov 03, 2015 |
kaboraa: This theory of the Trinity is very damaging. First of all there is no much evidence in the Bible for it. Even when Jesus was called good he said Only God was good. Furthermore, there are many reasons why I will side with the Jews who think Christianity is pagan. Why would God promise the Israelites that a Messiah who is like Moses will come and restore the Kingdom of Israel when He himself was going to come. He should have told the Israelites clearly because He said that we should judge a prophecy if it came exactly as he said it would. If this was not clearly spelt out to the Israelite how can they be held responsible for being cautious not to believe anyone when they were going by what God had told them. How would Christians feel if the second coming of Jesus comes in a way we least expect and then we are told that we are wasted because we did not accept him. I mean c'mon. Imagine my brother at home telling me he is the second coming of Christ. No matter the miracles he does I would not believe HIM because scripture has told us how Christ is coming and that we shall be wary of angels of darkness posing as angels of light. Now imagine if it was true that my brother was the second coming of Christ, do you not see how ridiculous it is when I am blamed that I rejected Christ. C'mon guys. There is so much confusion in Christianity because many things don't add up. God created the world millions of years ago, with all the wars suffering and diseases, decided to come down at a time there was no video camera and not clearly telling even His selected nation about it and then decides that those who did not believe Him are all going to burn in eternity for HELL because they did not believe HIM. C'Mooon!!
I believe very much in Jesus but I believe most of his teachings were practical simple living a life of love and not even about a new religion. Christians believe salvation belongs to those who believe in the Name of Jesus and accept him that he came to die for their sins. However this is not clearly taught as Salvation. Salvation belongs to those who believe in HIM. And he clearly stated that those who believe in HIM are those who obey the words he taught. And it is summed that all He talked about was less religion and commandments and living for love. If your life is not lived by love you don't have salvation. Period. Thank you very much. You made good points. Same reason Christians rejected Mohammad (SBUH) . The bible gave many reasons why Muhammad should be rejected. the last thin a Christian will do is embrace the lies in the Koran. We are in same shoes as the Jews. They hold on to the promises of God through prophets like Moses, Isaiah, Daniel, Jeremiah et . The Messiah will be a Man. A Jew. Not God himself. The comforter is the holy spirit Not a person (Muhammad). Christians should start thinking...and stop this God in three person dogma. It's indeed damaging just like you stated up there. |
