BRATISLAVA:

If you aren't recruitment, how do you know the criteria used in employing females? It's not an argument, but a search for the truth.

This area is full of too much myth and very much personal sentiment. Someone (factually) mentioned he deals with ATS, and gender is one of the things excluded from the selection process to keep it fair.

So how is it then stated as fact that females are employed through watered down processes, while males have full scrutiny? Is that how recruitment works? Is tech divided into male and female tasks? Or is inclusion the watering down?

If you have answers, feel free to let us know. As I said, this is all about learning.
Do you work in tech or you just want to argue for the fun of it. Females are treated preferentially in tech and I've experienced it twice this year. I'm in a closed tech group, the seniors are always willing to take in females under their tutelage, junior guys are left to find their path. Few weeks ago, a senior DevOps engineer in our network specifically requested for a female for immediate employment, a female acquaintance applied and she got in notwithstanding the fact that she had minimal DevOps experience.

Hmm... This leaves me scratching my head...

Thru what means if I may ask?
Are you sure someone didn't snoop her login details and make a transfer?

She should raise a complaint with the consumer protection department of CBN.... They'd be forced to act.
She has moved on but I will tell her to send a mail to the consumer protection department of CBN.

That's a aad one... How did he lose 400k?

Thats my issue with most mobile banks... For the most part they're straightforward but when you have issues, it could take sometime to get help...

They should optimise their customer care or eorse still, introduce a subscription service where folks can get same day response when needed.
She did not effect any transaction but 400k was removed from her account.

Thats odd... That's where most of them struggle at... As they don't have regular staff, they should stock up on customer care agents....

Did u have a bad experience?
There has been numerous complaint about their customer service/support. A friend lost 400k, when she called to register her displeasure, the rep said there was nothing they could do about it, if it was a traditional bank, she could have easily walked in to resolve the issue.

In stocks when a company does a share buy back, the price of the stock appreciates. What is the effect of the decision below on the price of bnb.

I'm not a newbie, I do crypto passively, I haven't traded for some time. I assumed that bnb will be selling at a low price because of Bitcoins bull run, I just checked my binance app now and it's expensive at the current price.

Let them go…. They will soon find out it’s not all roses . Not even America or Canada but UK! UK that will tax everything back, they will earn the money, and spend it all on tax, accommodation, transportation, electricity, heating and many many expenses and at the end of the month, they will be left with nothing.

Nigeria is not a rich country when compared to the west, in Nigeria how many people actually take their health seriously and go to the hospital or willing to pay good money for medical services. Medical services are ridiculously high in the west, that’s how they are able to generate revenue to be able to pay better. As a country, yes there’s corruption, but we are making do with the best we have.

And before anybody comes for me, I am also a professional, I have lived in the UK, SA, UAE and recently US. I still will rather work in Nigeria.
The salary is really small

Most of then can't code shit trust me. Out of those that signed up for hng go and see how many Complete it less than 50. I have someone I know personally he has been on this various forms of bootcamps like hng and Zuri since 2017. He cant code HTML. He even posted on his Facebook that he has joined another bootcamp that's 4 years from bootcamp to bootcamp. You see them on social media and you feel everyone is doing the same thing Lori iro.

I also did engineering and C and C++ were our core courses. All we spent a semester learning was how to declare variable and write simple functions to add two numbers and such. Absolutely everyone today that graduated in my set does not remember how to declare a variable in C or C++. Social media gives a very false illusion of something.
My course mates work with modern frameworks and languages, some of them work for Deimos cloud and other big establishments abroad earning as much as $30/hr, that's a lot of cash, because of the strides those few guys made in IT, the overwhelming majority of the class code and they are not here to play.

I didn't really go far in my first attempt at coding for some reasons but on my second attempt, I put in the work and the time because of the cash and the rest is history. Just have a plan B, web developers are everywhere now and they are easily replaceable. I won't say much..

One thing you need to understand is that as technology improves, they would be more IT fields. As of 2008, there was nothing like blockchain development. Today it's one of the fastest growing fields. Even web development has changed so much. There didn't even use to be any JavaScript frameworks like ten years ago and see what is happening today. Can you compare mobile development in 2004 on Symbian and java phones to what we have today. Trust me everything we are doing today will be completely changed in the next 10 years.

Mathematics can be learnt. If I was Interested in AI and want to know advanced mathematics there's so many amazing courses and apps like brilliant. We fear mathematics in Nigeria so much because of how we are taught. If you were taught mathematics like a child in Japan you will never fear it.

IT field can never be saturated ever. Forget it. It can't happen.
Bro, it's getting saturated, the barrier of entry is low, more than half of my course mates code(That's just one engineering department in a federal school). I'm already working on specializing in a niche that is not renowned and you do a lot of publicity for web development on nairaland, nairaland as a platform has a far reaching effect on carrier choices in Nigeria.

Do you have an idea of the number of persons that signed up for HNG internship? undecided

Most times I use bitc0in to guage the valuation of the market...
There are a number of models out there which have proven to be quite accurate.. one is tge stock-to-flow model, another is the logarithmic growth curve... You can find them on the website lookintobitc0in.
Also, moving averages are useful... Especially on the weekly charts...

Movement of alyts will depend largely on what bitc0in does... So with alyts, I prefer to time trading them based on where the market cycle is and what bitc0in is doing at the time
Too complex. When you take all these things into consideration, at some point you'd be swayed by the school of thought that Crypt0 is just a glorified Ponzi scheme.

Crypt0 is a volatile market and most projects have little use case. But then, there are 2 concepts you are mixing up.

The rise and fall in price can be said of most products out there. The price of an item is what someone on the other end is willing to pay. That's why prices of items vary. Take stocks for example..same narrative you painted can be said of stocks... It's all about what someone on the other end is willing to pay and that's why the prices are not stagnant... With stocks, it's the belief in the company that makes folks value it... With crypt0, it's the technology backing it....

Talking about the technology that backs crypt0... Take bitc0in for example... It's an instrument where folks can store value, transfer that value seamlessly from one point of the globe to another instantly and almost free, carry that value securely in the most minimal ways possible, and can be traded in hundreds of countries around the world. Alot more can be built on that...
I liken crypt0 to the internet of 1998. Reading some of the dooms day narratives against the internet then look funny today.

Take a step back, look at the big picture.. there's a reason why a number central banks around the world are working on issuing a backed crypt0 asset.

That's the only reason why I'm in crypt0... It's because I believe in the usecase of the tech that backs it. I believe that it's bound to grow in adoption with time as it's currently been doing...

Regarding price, it's worth remembering that the crypt0 market cap has put in new highs almost every 4 yrs... That's remarkable in investing. The NSE is currently trading at about half of the high it created in 2008. Yet, even after 14yrs of being in a downtrend, I wouldn't call it a ponzi scheme...

There's always a narrative anytime the market goes up/down do I don't usually bother myself about them. Of recent, there's been very positive news in the space yet a bearish market structure has not responded to them. In the end, price will do what it'd do.
What are the metrics you look out for to ascertain if a particular coin is overpriced?
