Go to fimie or inside ozuboko around tere-ama wearing yellow socks and yellow arm band. Make sure you spend at least 5 hours there in the area.
nothing will happen, I've told you nobody cares about those things, people are trying to get their money up, guys in school that indulged in those things are all trying to get their money up. You don't live here in 2022/2023. All over Nigeria, in the past, in SE, SE, SW, even in the North, some teenagers and young adults engaged in one form of cultism or the other, it's not exclusive to Rivers state.

Disstroy is spot on.

The number one problem of the south is cultism of which Rivers State is the HQ.

For fvcks sake, it was very well known that sooo many cult clashes were sponsored by both Amaechi and Wike. The highest rate of political assassinations have to be in Rivers.

The reason this is an even bigger issue is that this has become a cultural issue. With whole languages, signs, dressings and symbol to go with them.

Less than 50% of students walk into any government secondary school and public university and doesn't come out belonging to one cult group or the other. One has to be very strongly resolved and averse to peer pressure to escape not joining any cult group.

And whether you believe it or not, gangsterism breeds violence ALWAYS!

disstroy is spot on. Insecurity is a big issue in Rivers and this insecurity is one not fueled by ideology or poverty but a nascent culture of gangsterism that has been groomed and nurtured by the state's political leaders.
here we go again, stereotypes! Regurgitating what you 'heard'. You have never lived or schooled here but you are cocksure that less than 50% of students walk out of secondary schools and universities without belonging to a gang. I schooled here and non of colleagues were cultist, nobody cares about the color you're wearing or other tripe here, can you list areas I can't visit if I'm wearing a particular color as you said? I'll go there on a weekend and take pictures and nothing will happen..

If living and working in a state for a few years then having to spend some days at a stretch every other month there categorizes as living there, then yes, I partly live in Rivers State. Rivers is a freaking violent state.

Want to argue? Mention where you reside there and I'd mention specific places I hobnob in. No or yes? You can't because where you reside is a violence hotspot.

Rivers is so violent, a gunshot in the air wouldn't scare the residents. Hard as nails. Loud bang like "kpos!!!" and in two minutes people are moving around like nothing is happening. In the creeks, kids would tell you what gun type makes a particular sound.

I don't think there's any other place in the South where a group of fun seekers are sprayed with bullets to get one person why an antagonisers but Rivers State breaks that rule.

On any vice index, Lagos probably tops Rivers on a ritual killing scale.
But on thuggery, Lagos is extortion at parks and markets, Rivers is to extort, rob, and harm.

Again, how many teenage boys born and raised in Port Harcourt don't get into gangs? How many Port Harcourt youths don't use gang slangs?
Oga your are wrong, those things no longer happens. I won't waste my time engaging in a needless back and forth with you as it's evident that you're not willing to yield grounds. When I have make and female friends moving around freely at any time of the day, if it was so bad, why would they be willing to come and see me by 12, 1 or even 2am.

I know for a fact someone in my church who was kidnapped in PH two years back.

However if the guys that stay there say such things are isolated incidents I differ to their extensive knowledge of the place.

Show me a state in Nigeria that hasn't recorded cases of kidnappings in the past 2 years? Even in Lagos and Abuja, they are reported cases of kidnappings. It's bad but it's not a Rivers state problem, it's a Nigerian problem.

From where to where?
I stay in Obioakpor, on Thursday a friend called me by 12am informing that he was around my place, he stays in PHALGA and he moves around freely without fear. That guy lived in Rivers state during Amaechi's tenure when Don wanny and the other bad guys held sway, yes the governor has issues but people don't mess around or fhuck around because they know what he's capable of, crime rate has reduced drastically, people still use those slangs for banters as they are engrained in the state but generally the place is peaceful, nobody send you, even in diobu.

I figured you'd say this. If you had stated where you resided, I'd have stated where I resided in the city, where I worked and specific places I sort of go to when I visit the city (which is frequently).

Even the CarniRiv during Amaechi's time in December was always punctuated by violence. Get caught up in that stadium by past 7PM and it's you and you alone. But I won't push it.
You don't even live in the state currently, you opinion about Rivers state is premised on when you stayed in the state during Amaechi's tenure. I move around by 1am, 2am, in those places you talk about and nothing happens.

It's not propaganda. Rivers State has a deep-rooted culture of violence. Once you access the state from Onne or Oyingbo, you'd be greeted with slangs used by clandestine groups.
Violence or the threat of it is celebrated in every part too. Every single part.

Up until 2015 or 2016, it was an anomaly to find a teenage boy who either hasn't been initiated into these devious groups, affiliated to them, or posturing as one. Even till date. They don't hide - they brag about it. From Obigbo to Eleme to Abua to D-Line and on to Emuoha and beyond, violence, vices, and thuggery are woven into the social lifestyles of the everyday person.

No kind of violence or vice the mind can conjure is impossible in Rivers State.

Violence, isolated, and Rivers State do not match. There's at least one case of this in Mile 1, Port Harcourt every other month. And this is just a small part of PHALGA.
Kidnappings are happening every single day in Rivers State. It's become so commonplace, the local media seem to ignore it.
Do you live in Rivers state?

Rivers state is safe, If you're boxed up, Rivers state is a better place to stay compared to Lagos. Yes there are cases of small crimes here and there but then in advanced climes, they also grapple with little crimes.

Where are you getting your Atiku winning sentiment from

I haven't seen anything from the North yet, though I won't be surprised

Atiku has actually got the required percentages in Yoruba areas so far
Atiku did very well in the SW, in the SS(except rivers) where obi came first, he came second, in the North he's sweeping zamfara, gombe, Adamawa, yobe, Bauchi, Niger, Kaduna, and possibly Taraba and Nassarawa

Tell me another joke. People are complaining already when Wike is working for an opposition party. Just think of what he will do for his own candidate. Just dey play

SIM has won. The election is a waste of time.
If BAT wins, there will be voter apathy and the governor will unleash his boys to hijack ballot boxes in some places, but unfortunately BAT is not winning, Atiku has won, everyone will be out in full force to vote against his candidate.

There's no hope for Nigeria, a first world country should recolonize Nigeria or a coup should be carried out to flush out the present crop of politicians. He has been harping about privatization, when he wins, interested companies will have to pay a certain fee to those SPE's or SPV's , say he sells a refinery for $1b, $100m goes to the SPV offshore, no trace whatsoever because on the company books, such payment can be recorded as legal or consultancy fee. This same method of corruption is being adopted by political office holders all over Nigeria, talk about alpha beta and ambodes visionScape. Ministers in cash intensive ministries like Transportation, works and housing, petroleum, etc use the same method. Before giving the Chinese a project to execute in Nigeria, they are also expected to pay a certain amount to those SPV's, what about state government. Just think about the amount of money that has been siphoned through this method since 1999. Nigeria is irredeemable, just take care of your family, and if you have the means, leave! These revelations will not deter sycophants from voting and campaigning for this guy and he's most likely to be president in February.

Let me repeat! Money will come later! Don’t strike a conversation trying to make a lady know you are rich. These class of ladies are independent also. So you have win their attention first before asking for a date.

From my little experience, it’s always a turn off. Walk him like a gentle man, get attention and win interest, later you can start showing how financially capable you are. And trust me, little unimaginable things trip this ladies.

Women generally are more committed. It’s we men that fvck-up. If a lady falls for you and you DON’T fvck up, it’s difficult for her to just say quit.

Commitment and attention! They love it!

ARe you insinuating that marriages failed because the men are not committed to their wives?

You still have higher chances than a girl you will meet at Quilox or Peckers.

And it’s never about money or financial buoyancy. That the most mistakes men make, that they feel intimidated.

Even trying to brag about financial standing or wealth is a turn off for a girl who has something upstairs.

Once they find you interesting and genuine. LOCKED
money is always a factor, that so called interest wanes with time. People living their spouses today found their partners interest in the past, hope you know that?

Look around you, our people are poor, everybody is trying to level up. That's why our sisters are into runs, our politicians are selfish, our brothers are into one form of fraud or the order. Personally, if it's not a high school or college sweetheart just settle for a baby mama, basket mouth and p square have been there done that, a whole lot of unpopular men too. Women are just obsessed with money, how many men in Nigeria can possibly fund the lifestyle they desire? Patience, contentment, are alien concepts to our ladies. It's so sad.
