Abiolamat:
IELTS results
LRWS - 9, 9, 6, 8
Please it was a computer based test with BC. Can I call for a remark? Yes you can. And pick all sections when applying for your EOR

Hubby has less than 2 years work experience. I have 4 years

By the time you’re done with IELTS and Wes, it will be two years. So use 2 years. And make sure you max out on your scores in IELTS

So I just received my MEP/BIL yesterday. Haven’t done biometric yet and I received an email of an update. I checked and noticed my UCI number has changed. Does anyone know what it means?

I’m not bothered, just curious

New here, also interested. Got mine on the 7th.
Tho I already joined one from one immigration tracker website but it has lots of people from other countries and it doesn’t seem informative so far (perhaps it’s too early in September). Would prefer a 9JA based group anyway.

All the best then.

Please ensure to read the thread page to page. The devil is in the detail.

paularo:
Thanks for your response.
My WES was for Immigration purposes not study.
Yes, I can get a recent financial statement.
I didn't write any IELTS for study so this would be my first time writing IELTS.

Hello guys,

I applied for Study Canada VISA but git rejected. I was glad because I realized that I don't want to go to school and work because I won't have time for my online business.

Long story short.

I would like to ask if I can use the same documents for Canada Study VISA for Permanent Residence.

I was planning on going for PR from the very beginning but was convinced that study is faster by an Agency.

I already have my WES Report, Medicals, Police Report, DOB, Financial Statements and other documents needed. I guess all I need to do is prepare and write the IELTS exam?

I'm not quite sure that's' why I'm asking everyone in the house.

Please, share your knowledge on my issue.
Thanks.

It's tricky.

Your WES report for study is a course by course evaluation, for immigration you'll need the ECA for IRCC.
Medicals are valid for a year... Don't know if the same tests were carried out as needed for PR
Police Report is valid for three months as stated, however i hear on here that it's valid for a year according to Canada
Financial Statements, you might need to get a more recent one
DOB Date of Birth? You want to change it?
and Yes, IELTS will be written again, as the one you wrote must have been Academic instead of General needed for Immigration.

I also don't get why anyone will want to change their name in Canada. abi?
nomad26:
Of course you can. I'm married and all my submitted documents bore my maiden name. Note that I didn't change my name after marriage sha (still don't get why anyone does this )
If you get a passport now and then choose to change your name after marriage, note that you will need to get another passport and also swear a 'one and same person' affidavit.
My advice is stick with your maiden name until you've migrated to Canada, you can then change your name over there if you still wish to do so.

Finally had the courage to raise a CSE for my Visa Office and it’s Ottawa. Hoping for a speedy PPR.

What’s your AOR date?

Stanbic charged me 317,550. That’s a lot o

Good morning beautiful people, thank you to everyone contributing to this thread, God bless you all. Finally submitted my application, now my "wait" begins. For anyone hoping to submit, Sterling bank rates stay winning. Paid all fees upfront and was charged #300,603.95 at 1 CAD = #267.20. The rates are very fair in my opinion. All the best to everyone on this journey. It will all end in praise.

I had responded to your query on the belief that your PCC is originally in black and white. Good that you got the right guidance from others.

If you have already submitted, please raise CSE and submit it in color.

This is from IRCC.
Police certificates must be scanned copies of the original certificate(s) in colour. Certified true copies or unauthorized copies won’t be accepted and will result in your application being rejected.

Thank you very much. I have raised a CSE and uploaded the colored document.

Scan it like that using a coloured scanner. I had an English PCC too. It wasn't really B&W o. My picture was coloured so i scanned it like that.

Thanks very much. I raised a CSE and uploaded it.

Sorry to bother you guys but I’m curious. Has anyone ever had any issue with submitting a black and white scanned document instead of the colored scanned document.

I would advise you evaluate the most recent Master's degree.

Congratulations to everyone who just got their PPR or ITA.

I have a quick question. I am about to start my documentation in preparation for Express Entry next year.

I have read through this thread and other resources. I also understand that for those who have a foreign Masters degree, they do not need to evaluate their B.Sc degree.

However I have two foreign Masters degree, do I need to evaluate both? or Just the one relevant to my work experience/NOC profile?

Thank You for your response.

there’s a way IELTS always humbles people. I also wrote it 5 times before finally passing. Funny thing is, I’ve written TOEFL before in 2012, got a 99/120, wrote IELTS in 2014 and passed all bands with a round score of 8.5. Then it expired when I was ready.

When I became ready to do this Canada waka, IELTS humbled me. When I got my result with 6.5 in Reading and 6.5 in writing. I chuckled and said it’s a lie. Me, do they know who I am? But yes, they know who I am. I am someone that needs to be humbled, even with my masters in engineering and several certifications.

Apparently, most of us with technical background might not be descriptive enough as needed in writing. We seem to be too direct.

When I eventually got my score, it was a LRSW: 9 9 8.5 7

The writing na still let my people go. Having spent more than 350k

Anyway, we thank God for journey mercies.

Congrats bro.
Drahl:
soon.
I booked 27 july and still got 6.5 in writing despite Johnnybravo's review...I say na lie..I nor gree..results were released on 9th august..I ordered a remark and booked another test for august 17th,results were released on 30th and I got 7 in writing but (6.5 in speaking)..How on earth can i score 6.5 in speaking? As I was lamenting on my speaking scores,I got a mail that the remark for July 27 was out.I was in Ikoyi today to collect the test report and behold my writing had increased to a 7.0..I almost sublimed..so i stand with:
L8.5 R9 S8 W7.
Finally, I want to thank @yemblaze who advised me to seek help for my writing.she is a wonderful person.she would send me mails asking about my IELTS result and the outcome of my EOR'S.God bless you ma'am.
I am also happy for @venorite..I read your story and it was very inspiring.

This is for the HR professionals in the house. Can someone please guide me on the pathway to obtaining a CHRP using a SHRM-SCP. I’m about to write the exam in Nigeria, so I would like to know if I’m doing the right thing or if there are other options.

Thanks

Thanks to everyone who responded the last time.

1. New issue, should I upload my employment letter from 4 years back or the work reference letter recently issued to me is sufficient for the employment records upload.

2. Educations upload: doesn’t state that I should upload WES or IELTS. Should I do that anyway here or there’s somewhere else specifically for that upload.

Honestly, you might have to start reading from page 1. Believe me it’s interesting, just keep reading.

But whatever you do, start with ECA then IELTS... don’t worry about work experience for now, by the time you’re done with ECA alone, your work experience would def be a year and above.

When you’re done reading, you can come back and ask questions
