Don't be scared. I personally think winter is the best time to enter. No pretenses, the weather gives it to you hot hot... or in this case cold cold.

Layer up and you'll be fine.

EHAO:

I will bring them for you then.
Meanwhile, I am a first timer o. I’m so scared with all the reports about the weather.

Morning guys,

So, I have been thinking. I'm Post-MEP/BIL.

I used a savings account for my POF. Now, we all know they won't call the bank to check but they might raise an ADR for confirmation of funds if required. Would it be safe to move the money to a mutual funds account. As such, even if they request for ADR, I will show the transfer and also the statement of account of the mutual fund and a letter from the mutual fund administrator.

REASON: I'm sensing some magomago with the naira and foreign exchange in the coming months.

What's your take guys?

I don't think you can get points for each of the whole family if they are all in Canada. Calculation is for one and that's all you need.

You don’t get ghosts after you raise CSEs, you get an acknowledgement email.
Ghost updates come when there’s an update in your file from IRCC. And you only see it after logging into your account. Sometimes you might see what change, other times you might not.

Thanks LadyMarshall, yes I know. I also know that ghosts may not come nowadays. I’ve raised 3 CSEs, I’m just itching for an update - any update.

I've raised thee CSEs and haven't gotten any of those ghosts. I hear they are not very punctual nowadays.

Guess, I'll raise another one requesting for VO.

jjohndoe83:

I raised a CSE previously and got a generic message. However on 30th September, I logged in to my account and saw "Application Updated" , what you call a ghost update. I suspected it was a transfer to my LVO. So I raised CSE the next day and got a response on Monday that file was in Ottawa.

When you join the forces, make sure you and the forces buy a generator set and take it along o. grin grin grin grin cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

Alosezele:
Am I the only one whose verification is being delayed in Uniben just because they refuse to pay NEPA bill and giving useless excuse that their Generator is bad at exams and record and PG School?
We have to join forces and approach their bosses to explain our predicaments and see what we can do to help. It’s frustrating that my verification request has been delayed for 2 months, which is enough time for my ECA report to be ready. To make matter worse, my birthday is just stirring and laughing, and about to steal 5 points from me.

Issa Oga here o.

Bro... You don't want to know the amount of groups i am in. Aug/Sept/Oct. I'm starting to think the regular update and discussion in the groups is to my detriment. Not sure if i should just focus on going on concerts this Nov/Dec and when PPR comes, it comes!

Anyway, I don't think i am strong enough to just let go. I sent a mail yesterday requesting for update. I work as an HR personnel and i know the importance of "follow up"...

God go help us

jjohndoe83:

Hello ma'am. How's the wait coming along? Do you have any links to any AOR groups?

Sister the truth is that you would only find out whether your score is changed or not when you open that brown envelope. The envelope is sent from UK with DHL so people in Nigerian office do not even know whether your score is increased or not. When you open that envelope and your score is increased you will use the letter inside the envelope to apply for a refund.

WOW... Just knowing this. I once applied for a remark from MOD and did not bother going to collect the remarked score because I read (and could be wrong) that if refund is requested for immediately via mail, then the score changed, if not then the score remains the same.

Now the interesting part, I wrote IELTS 2 more times to finally getting the needed score.

I would go and pick up the 3 MOD IELTS results from their office and just laugh at myself if my score changed from the EOR. I would laugh really hard!!!

Hello everyone. I am about to respond to an ITA from Saskatchewan but l have an issue and want to ask. We have had 7.7 million as pof since last year up to July this year 2019 however l got am admission in UK and paid my fees using fx on 22 August and because we had to raise pof for UK we sold some properties and moved the money to my account September 9. Little did we knw that I would be given an ITA to apply on September 26. Now my concern is that the three months statement I have printed has a 16 day gap from 22 august to 9 September because of the school fees i paid through telex to uk. Although I have the bal of 14 million now. The big question will this gap of 16 days short in pof lead to an outright rejection of my ITA? Please I need to be enlightened. The minimum we need FAM of. Four 6.5 million pls can l have any chance to succeed with the ITA? Every other documents are OK.

i'm (and other people) very confused with your story.

The real question is, did your balance drop below 6.5m in the last sis months until now?

Hello House,
My husband and I have got our IELTS results
Me the PA (f,25) - LRWS - 9, 9, 7.5, 8
Him (M, 31) - LRWS - 5.5, 9, 7, 7.5
I just want to confirm if we are okay to go into the pool like this. It’s too late to request a remark.
Simulated the scores already and it will add just 2 points if he has 7.5 in Listening.
But I just need to be sure it won’t make our profile invalid or unqualified.
Thanks

Other factors such as years of work experience and educational qualification matters.

Your advice is Qlife.

Guess IOM now have more people patronize them.
Pls guys I wont mind more experience shared.

Tnks

Mine was with IOM. Got ITA and tried booking at both, IOM had a sooner appointment date, Qlife was a week later.

Got 7:30am appointment for IOM, got there on time. Started at about 8:30 finished at 1pm. There are about 5 tests to complete on the day, you’ll be advised to book your space in one and go complete another one if the queue is long, which is what I met at the X-ray section.

Upon completion, I got a text message 4 days later that the result for my medical assessment has been sent to IRCC.

Writing has always been my problem...i cried so many times ...used different material..hardly had time to read because of work...kept getting either 6 or 6.5 and didnt know where my problem was, until my sister introduced me to @johnnybravo1990. he did thorough lessons with me and i did not care about the cost, all i wanted wa

Hmmm i am so filled with joy and i wish everyone success...thanks to johnnybravo1990 please everyone having issues with writing should contact him. once more, all glory to God i am finally done with IELTS.
writing is the humbler of men. Also wrote 5 times and got it on my own. Wish I checked online and nairaland after my first try. Problem was, I had written it before and passed but it expired, so I thought easy peasy, this should be easy. Well... writing did it’s thing. Congrats anyway.

Joining the thread doesn't mean i have not been following the draws longer than that (2017). Yes, they did another draw in less than a fortnight after that but then statistically, they can draw anytime they like (which is my point). No need to be on the edge, I understand where you are coming from.

Cryptomania:
Oh Jesus, you guys will join the thread and start giving analysis off your head in no time. I believe if you're attentive enough, you'll notice that they made up for that skipped draw by doing a back to back ITA draw.

I repeat, if you're not yet knowledgeable enough on how these things works, it's better to just observe. No one gets a reward for commenting the most.

Note: I choose to sound a bit on the edge because of your lead-in statement. No hard feelings.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by PLSHELEP: 12:06pm On Sep 19, 2019
If you're attentive enough. You'll know that draws are not done fortnightly... Check back two months ago, they didn't draw for a month and when they did, the score was 470.

I'll go with the maths.
Cryptomania:
I applaud your math skills, but IRCC don't work that way. In fact they are highly unpredictable and from past antecedent, draws are done every fortnight, not through calculation like you just did here.

Not really. It just means you don’t get a refund if your writing score comes back the same. If you had selected others (which doesn’t come at any extra cost to you), you would have had the chance of getting your money back.

Not so much of an implication I guess.
Abiolamat:
I already did but i only pick writing. Is there any implication in picking only writing?

Please I need an urgent advice.

My mother in law wants to assist with a part of POF. In order to reduce documentation, is it advisable she transfers the funds directly to me and I get a gift deed or she sends to my wife, who will in turn transfer to me then get gift deed for her?

Secondly, am planning to put the funds in t-bills, is it advisable I fix the funds separately or I can merge it with my other investment that will mature next week and fix all together?

Will your wife be providing the statement of her account as part of your documentation? If yes, then you’ll need to get a gift deed letter stating the obvious. If not, then she can transfer to your wife and then to you.

Merge everything, you don’t want too much documentation. The gift deed explains where the money comes from,so you can fix the total.
