You must have been a "Showstopper," in the days! Chei. Naija women sha. lol. Walking up to be noticed, head swelling up, etc. And you see why in Islam, men and women do not mix together in Ibadat (performing duties of worship in a communual sense among the believers)? Just imagine how many bloodhounds in the church, if you even can propose that the pastor/preacher, a mere human being can even be "noting and getting swelled up!"Still am ![]() You can legislate whatever you want in Islam,as soon as that man leaves the mosque,he sees naked women both real and pictures. He turns on his computer, naked women everywhere. He closes his eyes,he can imagine women naked. My dear,he even knows that underneath that woman in a burqua is a naked body Rapes still happen in countries where women are forced to dress in flowing robes Isn't that proof to you that merely seperating sexes in a place of worship means nothing You my dear live in New York how are you "holding yourself" since you are bent on having women seperated. Walking with Christ is of the heart. You cannot control what people around you do But the Christ in you can help you live a holy life even when all the women around you are shaking what their momma gave them |
That senator Ekaette is a useless senator if this is her greatest achievement. What has she done to curtail crime and corruption? |
as someone earlier said maybe whenever the choir hits a high note,we run up and sow to their vocal chords ![]() wonders shall never cease |
agaba123:GBAM! Being poor and destitute is not a license to cast aspersions on the wealthy. |
As a young Christian I had been at a worship session with fellow teenagers where we held hands and sang and prayed and the power of God was so mighty that none of us could stand on our feet. So I know this can happen. I've also felt that many times in my own home while in prayer. |
dudu-bobo:Remember the Bible tells and encourages us to give and there are various examples of how the disciples gave but no set rules how to give. So it's not very correct for us to say what is Biblical culture and what's not in terms of giving. Giving is giving. I would rather categorize this method into disorderliness. Our God is a God of order that was why he went as far as instructing through St Paul that women not speak in church and ask their husbands at home. Only God knows how noisy these Corinthian women must have been to attract such a stern warning.Remember Ananias and Saphirah where the church sold all the had and put the money into a common purse,we have an example ,should we now say this is the way for Christians to live. The only prolem I have is the walking up and down in a service, it is very distracting and disorderly. I would not be in Church that does this sort of thing. I want to sit and be ministered to without people walking around. My own pastor actually forbids people from walking around during sermon and I've heard of many pastors who do same. Unless one has an incompetent bladder, I see no reason for grown adults walking around when most sermons here in the USA are just about 1 hr. And walking around to give an offering is no different. |
dudu-bobo:In my opinion, there's actually nothing with sowing. You reap when you sow, that is scripture. The only thing I wonder is how distracting this must be for people to walk up to the altar so many times to do this. It doesn't sound like a good idea. They could have a collection box at the back where people could put in whatever they have on the way out if the message of the day touched them. The way this sonds, some people may just walk up to be noticed. Secondly this introduces carnality where the pastor may be noting those that walk up so often and his head may swell up when people keep walking up. so in any sermon where no one walks up,people where not blessed? There's a better way to do this. |
iceland:exactly the same thing Mr Godwin himself would say. |
I hate clicking on links Nemesis has caught up with a middle-aged teacher at Delta Career College, Ugborikoko, Warri, Delta State, after allegedly defiling a nine-year-old pupil. The suspect, simply identified as Mr. Godwin, was last Wednesday arrested and detained at the ‘A’ Divisional Headquarters of the Nigeria Police. Nigerian Tribune learnt that the incident took place last Tuesday during school hours. It was gathered that when, at about 6.30 p.m., the girl had not returned from school, the mother, Grace Akani, became worried and alerted the motorcycle rider who usually took her to and from school. But the motorcycle rider claimed that he did not see her at school, thinking that she must have made an alternative arrangement to go home. Akani told the Nigerian Tribune in an interview that while still comtemplating on what could have gone wrong, her GSM phone rang at about 7.00 p.m. with a man who identified himself as Godwin telling her that the girl was with him and that she should personally come to fetch her. On getting to the school, she met her daughter with two other teachers with Mr. Godwin trying to calm her child down. According to Mrs. Akani, she left with her child in a taxi cab and on their way enquired from her daughter what was going on between her and Mr. Godwin but she refused to say anything which aroused her suspicion. “When we got home she ate and when it was time to take her bath, I asked her to UnCloth and my worst fears were confirmed—she had been defiled most brutally and her private part stocked up with tissue papers,” she said amidst tears. She said the girl could not have her bath that night and was taken to the Central Hospital, Warri, for examination where it was confirmed that she had been disvirgined and had sustained injuries. The nine-year-old girl later spilled the beans when her mother promised to take her to the police for protection. Police from the ‘A’ Division later went with the girl’s mother to pick Mr. Godwin, whose arrest was resisted by some teachers until the intervention of the Assistant Principal, who ordered that he be taken to the station for questioning. The Divisional Police Officer in-charge of the division, Mr. Paddy Ogon, a Superintendent of Police, confirmed the arrest and detention, saying that full investigation into the matter had commenced. |

JeSoul:My dear, leave her,let her read on and join in the conversation. Who knows at what point her eyes would be opened? |
pilgrim.1:That is my prayer too. Since now I know for sure, they lead no where.I ask God to help me resist it when my inlaw Olabs begins his father son and Ghost arguments. It's very tempting to set him straight until one realizes that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal weapons. Praise the Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for Seifa and others like her. This is just the beginning. My sister this has made my week already With your permission,I'll love to post your testimony in another forum.I know it will not only lead to convictions for unbelievers but it'll also sharpen believers. That's what it did for me. I realize that I cannot convert anyone. Only the Holy Ghost can May God continue to guide you as ypu disciple this precious one There is great joy in heaven right now for this new child of God. She can now boldly call God her father. |
obinna5000:I greet you too in Jesus' name. I thank God for his financial provisions to me and my household even in this hard economic times. God will always take care of those who put their trust in him and he has blessed us more abundantly in these times than ever before and I pray for the same blessings on anyone who will dare to trust and obey his word especially when he says give and it shall be given to you. He is worthy to be praised and adored. |
pilgrim.1:A resounding Amen. Pilgrim! how body? The minister at our Church yesterday was basically continuing your message about soul winning. Men, it was a great weekend for me |
JeSoul:I guess until Islam is banished ![]() since the reason for my ban is Islam. |
@ Olabs. I've had dreams of being in strange locations does that mean I should take off to Afghanistan? ![]() Idupaul ,you probably have been reading a lot from the religious threads. It's common to dream of things in your subconscious but like A_K_O said, declare the scriptures over any uncomfortable dreams. |
If it were my words,I would have been called a hater. Read it for yourselves. The plan of Islam which a nairalander posted here on this forum. I think Muslims of the 21st century leave the most important issues out. These includes:that is their primary goal. I said it several times and got called names If anyone wants to know what the life of non Muslims will be like under a sharia state all you need is use google and you'll read it for yourself. Or look towards Saudi and Pakistan. You heard it from the horse's mouth. Their plan Their words not mine. To be fore-warned is to be fore-armed. Their mission is clear. If you didn't hear me say it and abuses rained on me, now you've heard them admit it https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-176107.0.html#msg2859784 |
Ruby_Pearl:That B+ should have been a C- |
A new poll by the way For voters over 50 years old, preliminary polls 48% Obama 40% McCain |
Tayo-D:I knew you'll come back and say this I was actually waiting for it This almost sounds like what a kkk would say. The population of blacks is 12% my dear so how many people are you really talking about when compared to the black population? what ever advancements the blacks have enjoyed especially affirmative action, under whose administrations did they get it? Would you want them to throw that away? |
That this guy who nobody gave any chance whatsoever has come this far and actually debating a blonde blue eyed and doing pretty good cannot be overlooked. I give him props! |
davidylan*:It'll be very dishonest for any minority living here in America who must have felt the effects of racism not to acknowledge this. We don't want to give an impression that all Americans suddenly look beyond race when the office of presidency is concerned. |
Americans are no fools, and that is why Obama is not leading double digit now despite Bush's failings for the past 8 years. In this I agree with you. By the way, you can go on CNN and check the facts checker out. That Obama says its not true does not make it not true. Obama himself is a bloody liar, which is not surprising considering all Politicians are like that.Honey we live in a country that just started to let blacks vote the other day. The black population on America is 12% remember? Race is still very much a factor in this country,if not my own husband would be the Chair of his dept. ![]() Never forget that there are a group of people that'll not vote for Obama because of his skin color. We cannot deny that fact. The fact that he leads in the polls is actually a miracle and a testament that he's obviously an excellent candidate Because had he been white and the race thing made irrelevant,we won't even be having this conversation. There are folks even here where I live that'll rather be led to hell by a fellow white man than to heaven by a negro. I hope they don't burn down my house when I mount my Obama poster in my front lawn(If oga permits) That is something you cannot deny. |
Tayo-D:50% is an E 90% is an A ![]() |
