In Osogbo, cult boys were seen with guns attempting to enter Alekuwodo to scuttle the election, they fired the shots, the police fired to the air in return. The omobabaolowos couldn't enter. The security was huge. People voted for their choices. In Ife, same thing happened. Thugs that look like illuminati were all over the place, moving around the PUs but the stern looking security men were up to the task. Same thing in Orolu.
Information that some people were camped at a private university in Ede got to the security agents. The campees were taken from all the polling units, given about N100k each, subjected to eating concoctions and taking occultic oaths. Some of the people revolted "you can't continue to camp us here, our family will be worried. You only told us to come and collect money, you didn't tell us you want to kidnap us.".
Information got to the security agents, as they were planning to invade the private university, the abductors quickly set free the stubborn inmates and relocated others. Unfortunately for the abductors, the Government declared a public holiday and movement of large number of people from one city to places where elections were being held was monitored. Some of those abducted have started having diarrhea, malaria and other diseases. Some were vomiting constantly and became weak. The abductors then opted for another trick, they got another set of cash to buy another set of people but they were not allowed to enter any polling unit apart from one in Orolu and as they were distributing cash, they were chased away by the people who were opposed to them. They opted for another trick, some of their canvasers with bags of money pretended to be observers but the security agents busted that too.
It was hectic for democracy yesterday but democracy still triumphs.
