To those that will contact me regarding SoP review, please do not forget to say ''thank you''. As a Yoruba boy, I attach so much importance to those two words. It's discouraging to know that some people won't even acknowledge receipt talk less of saying ''thank you'', who does that?
That's so disheartening to say the least. pls can u help me with my SoP? i will say a very BIG "thank you" grin

My fellow brothers and sisters in the house, pretoria was happy to reject me Visa today. Reason was that Employer was not verified and that no Letter of Future Employment, subclass-573,(SVP) paid AuS13,700 and has saved about AuS7,450 for complete 1yrs fees. Total: AuS21,000. I added my landed property docs, marriage certificates, house plan, children birth certs, employment histories, first aid certificates, IELTS and PTE blast them over.

So guys tell me, what else does pretoria needs? My MD of my Company was mad at this, they didn't call any1 or even me, he even wanted to use his lawyers to write them, I told him not to bother, every1 must not travel, some are meant to help others to succeed here and do stuffs. Australia should understand that we are not Hungry in Nigeria. I will keep up with my business and clap for people who gets their grants. Happy New Month. smiley
OMG!!! so sorry to hear about your refusal... was actually hoping to hear your testimony and dance with u on here... mehn this jus knock me off my feet... Chaii... I'm speechless...

If you meet Australian study requirements, that studying for at least 2 academic calendar years, you will be eligible for 18months provided your occupation is on the list and assessed as well. You must also meet Rnglish requirement. In a nut shell, if you study a course that is not on the list at Advanced Diploma level, you won't be eligible for it.

Still trying very hard to understand this post work stuff, so from the above, you mean after studying an advanced diploma for 2-3years, one won't still be eligible for the post grad work stream if the course is not on the SOL list? cos most if not all on the occupation requires a Bachelor degree or higher, if so that means one can't be assess with the adv dip since the requirement for the occupation is degree or higher?

Pls kindly explain in details and shed more light on this issue. tanx

If it is refundable....why is it called NON REFUNDABLE? Bros, pls inquire from the sch what that non refundable means....to avoid stories dat touch.
hi bro, yea i did made the inquire and I was told such... It's their policy for SVP, but the money ll be refunded if the visa is refused by immigration as that's the response i got from the school.

@standupguy, you contact them and clarify when u inquire, pls do and give feedback to the house.... grin

Oh it's clear, I am very ok with that. I thought they meant it as non- refundable like a visa application fee.

I also looked at Victoria university melboure for the same program it's cost more there though and they referred me to pfl.

Thanks men, you have been wonderful
Yeah Victoria is cool a little bit high... Glad i can help, know ya from Canada thread and am sure you'll be a guru soon in this particular thread too grin

Abeg are this people real with this 12,000 none refundable
Under Streamline Visa Processing, applicants are required to pay a deposit of $12,000.00 in order to secure their place. This $12,000.00 will come off the total tuition of $24,000.00 leaving a remaining $12,000.00 to be paid.

At SkillsTech it is their policy to charge a non-refundable deposit of $12,000.00 for Streamline Visa Processing Applications. If your Visa is refused by immigration, you are eligible for a refund.

I hope this helps?

Trying to understand this, how do i know schools under TAFE NSW?
Which schools did you finally apply to? or are you already in Australia?

In other to apply to TAFE schools in NSW, u have to apply tru TAFE NSW which is the body. schools like granville college, Ultimo Colleg and some others colleges are under TAFE NSW and one apply and pick the specific college that you want and campus. I applied to Gordon Institute of TAFE, TasTAFE, CIT and SkillTech. Nope still contemplating on the offers. Hoping to hear from SkillTech as i have not heard from them the outcome of my application.

This was sent two months ago, i really don't understand if it means that they don't process TAFE for Nigeria anymore or
SVP. I really dont under this Australia terms.
I sent them an email but they are yet to respond to me since yesterday
It's not unique to schools, but the whole schools under NSW, TAFE NSW are not processing SVP from Nigeria till further notice. same thing happened to me about two months ago, when i apllied and i was given the offer for a diploma not under SVP and i applied for Advanced diploma under SVP. So, we have to lot for schools elsewhere but not TAFE NSW.

Hello house,
If you are applying for school in Australia and you want to apply for PR after studies, Pls chose school between South Australia, Tasmania and Northern Territory. That will give you extra 5 points for studying in regional/ low growth metropolitan areas. This states also give special exemption for students that graduated in their state when it comes to state nomination.
@Lawland, thanks for this info. btw i got an offer from TasTAFE for Computer System Technology package course from Cert II, III and IV to Adv Dip level 3years for $33k and also Gordon Institute of TAFE for Adv Dip Computer Systems Engineering, but am reluctance to accept the offer, since peeps on here said the IT job has been taking over by the Asians and very had to get job after studying IT courses. Pls wat about QLD is it a regional area? TasTAFE is the only VET have seen in Tasmania if u have any other school, kindly share if u have any other school in that state. Thanks

I understand you quite well, so no offense taken! You definitely wouldn't have said that if some fools haven't been doing it (I mean scamming people). At the same time, I don't think it's wrong to offer a helping hand. I took my time to explain what I was told, so she could go to the nearest immigration office to her (and not necessarily call my contact). In addition, I stressed how much I trust my contact, but yet told her not to make any payment blindly, without seeing the person. If I knew someone that could help in Abuja, of course I would have directed her there, but unfortunately I don't. So you may as well help her by contacting your person that corrected his own in Abuja, if perhaps, he could link her up. But like I said earlier, no offense taken, the bad folks have spoilt the good ones. So please, you don't have to call that person, just take ur passport to the nearest high court to you, swear affidavit to the wrong name (you may have to go with your dad, since he made the mistake. Just to testify), then go with your passport and the affidavit to the nearest immigration office to you. I believe I've been able to clear the air.
Good luck to everyone here
You're a perfect gentleman... Thumps up....Very simple and mature...Spot on!!!...Cheers Man...
