I'm thinking like human. If u left nigeria to study abroad, that's u problem. There are good university here in Nigeria. Electricity has improved under this administration. Economy in good shape all GEJ needs now is our support to accomplish what he has started. Security i can understand that very well, but then he is doing his best. Note, GEJ is not going to Sambisa to fight Boko Haram by himself. Corruption is the only problem holding nigeria back. It did not started today and will not end even if pastor Kumuyi was vote in as a president. Because he is not going to stand in checking points with the police to watch then so they will not collect 20naira bribe. Or you who is schooling abroad on ur returning home at the airport a police ask you for bribe, instead of you asking him what your offences are, you give him the bride and move on.
Education in Nigeria is a waste, and I would not waste my future by doing my Msc in Nigeria.....Have you gained admission into any Nigerian University? am surprised you said there are good schools in Nigeria
GEJ ruled for 6 years and we are still battling with 3700mw of elcectricity, South Africa Generates 45,000mw with a population of 50million people.....Believe me in terms of Electricity GEJ failed woefully
Security....Well I don't need to explain, even you know whats up with security in Nigeria
Economy.....Things are bad and one good indication is the value of our currency, The naira has never been this low, 210 naira to a dollar is a new record in the history of the country
Corruption...$20bn Daziani madueke scam, 150million naira Stella Odua scam, aba moro NIS job scam, police pension scam and a long list of blatant corruption in Nigeria, Just incase you want to say its not GEJ fault people working under him decided to embezzle money. Remember GEJ out of his unending love for corrupt persons granted Alameysia, a convictd corrupt person, granted him presidential pardon...Does that sound like a man willing to fight corruption?

I can't shake my head enough. How did we get here?

Nobody is saying GEJ didn't do is job has president of Nigeria....but rather that he was too complacent in handling the job.
Am supprised you listed Security there....Even the blind and dumb know the nature of the country, Do you realise the landmass GEJ is seeking to re-elect is smaller than the one he was elected to govern in 2011?
The core sectors each Government should look into are security, Education, Electricity and the Economy.
Frankly speaking in this named sector GEJ failed woefully
SECURITY explains itself
EDUCATION in This country has become a joke, i spent 6 years doing common BSC Because of ASUU strike and even thou my university is among the top 10 in Nigeria, The validity of the education i received comes into Question, and rather than fortifying the existing Universities, The president built more glorified secondary schools and called them Universities, 70% of students failed WAEC last time around.
ELECTRICITY..... Nigeria Generates 3900MW of Electricity, South Africa generates 45,000MW and you say GEJ is working, before you jump yo his defence, remember he ruled for 6years
ECONOMY...I am not an economist but i can tell you we are in trouble, The naira presently sells for 210 against the dollar and 320 against the pound......We virtually import everything so expect the price of your everyday item to rice sharply
Finally CORRUPTION.....Well i don't need to expatiate on this one, We know whats going on......i dont know if GEJ is corrupt or he just turns a blind eye when people around him embezzle but one thing i know the entire body odour of GEJ smells corruption.
Before you say anything remember, He has ruled for 6 long hard years

A suicide bomber on Sunday afternoon killed nine Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporters and injured 24 others at Unguwar Jaji area of Potiskum Local government area of Yobe State.
Sunday Trust learnt that the bomber alighted from a bus around 1.30pm and blew himself up in the middle of more than 100 party supporters to the residence of the PDP House of Representatives candidate Alhaji Sabo Garbu.
Gabau is vying for the Potiskum/Nangere federal constituency seat.
An eye witness Abdullahi Ibrahim said the bomber who was looking unkempt went straight into the crowd before detonating the explosive.
“Six people died instantly and many others injured,” he added.
Sources at the Potiskum General Hospital said that nine people had been confirmed dead while 24 were receiving treatment at the accident and emergency unit.
"By our record nine people are dead and the 24 people injured are currently receiving treatments" he said.
He said that the corpses are at the hospital morgue.
Potiskum town has experienced suicide bomb attacks in recent times killing scores of people. Public places and worship centers including mosques, schools and markets have not been spared
Another yaba left escapee.......the same article said mosque, churches and markets have been targeted

You haven't addressed the point I raised. How is Buhari going to fight corruption in a democracy? Is it by his sheer will? If so, why do you believe he can't restrict press freedom and implement Sharia all over the country by sheer will too?
He hates criticism and has never denied it, he promised in 2001 to do everything he can to see sharia spread all over Nigeria.
He actually attempted to iskamize Nigeria as head of state.
https://www.nairaland.com/2118372/buharis-government-tried-islamize-nigeria
The problem with Corruption in Nigeria is the attitude the president has exhibited towards corrupt persons....GEJ tried in a few sectors and failed woefully in many but if you have only one A in your exams and lots of F9 your CGPA would read 0.5
You cant fight corruption by breaking a leg in trying to free corrupt persons, and am talking about GEJ presidential pardon to Alameysia
We have always had a problem with corruption in this country but it has never been this bad. Even our own president defends corruption by claiming it is ordinary stealing....He even went ahead to change the EFCC Director just like that without giving any reason
I dont know if GEj dosnt care or he is involved but his entire odour smells corruption....
To enact discipline has a leader you your self have to be deciplineed....And If Buhari can let people around him know he stands for No nonsense, people would start falling inline.....
And secondly about Islamatization, Deceits from such nonsense, The topic was started by the PDP to taint the Image of Buhari and the same PDP (GeJ and sambo) told a crowed in Kano that "Buhari is not a good muslim and was a going to spread christainity to the North because his a redeem VP is a pastor and has over 2000 churches ' ......So tell me is this not madeness? They tell the christians Buhari would islamatize Nigeria and tell the muslims Buhari would christianatize Nigeria.

Sign undertaking? You don't mean it do you? You mean they should allow their own soldiers to die while yours run away from the front and the only thing they will tell the family of their soldiers is an undertaking for being a good neighbor.

Let face reality here, Chad under president habre their late former president led an incursion into Nigeria in 1982 I think, and killed some nigerian soldiers whilst laying claims.to same territories in Nigeria they are fighting seriously to liberate now.

Buhari then under whose division those soldiers were took it upon himself to liberate the territory hijacked and took on the Chadian Army killing and clearing them even up to the border of Libya before the OAU intervened and pleaded with president Shagari to rein in Buhari and his soldiers.

History has a way of repeating itself. Chad won't leave.with nothing, they had plans for those territories long long ago
So its an issue of seeding territories to Chad or seeding to BH....What advise Nigerians do?

The field of stanlingrad remains one of the bloodiest in human warfare in modern times. Officers and Men driven by the love of Motherland defended with bare hands and claws to never go down even when they knew the Germans were more in number and better equipped but they stood their grounds and never retreated. Even when there was rumour of retreat command the soldiers never obeyed but fought on.

we've heard Boko Haram is well equipped but then we see videos of Boko Haram getting its supplies from the Nigerian Army Armoury.

How can you give your tools to your enemy and then turn around to say he is better equipped than you who owned the weapon?

Its obvious the Chadian Invasion is to help its Kanuri tribesmen who it feels are being used as pawn in the Politics of jonaTAN and some military top echelons who wants to perpetuate and sustain the Insurgency for their own selfish and obvious political gains at the expense of innocent citizens
Everybody is celebrating the Chadian victories on Nigerian soil but i ask, Would they forfeit captured territories once the war is over?
I think we need to sign an undertaking with them, to ensure they retreat and not take the opportunity to pursue their own intentions

ignorant people like you who lack basic understanding of Military operations assume all is well because some daft commentators spew rubbish that you foolishly assume is the reality.

For Chad to raise its National Flag on Nigerian Territory signify a new low for the Nigerian Army. All our neighbours will see the Nigerian Army as an assemblage of foolish and jobless youths who joined up to make ends meet and hence lack tactical military manuovers except for running away in the face of attack. No Military worth its name runaway from TERRORIST advance.

Russia lost over 500,000 soldiers to the German Advance during the 2nd world war but they never backed down.

Same Boko Haram that your soldiers are running from are being diminished by a more competent and motivated ARMY.

Shame on JONATAN and shame on the Nigerian Military Leadership, shame on the DSS, Shame on the Minister of Defence, shame on the National Security Adviser.
The Russians never backed down even when faced with death and defeat, they never back down,,The siege of stanlingrad is a good example ....Love for motherland and Country prevails when faced with Death , Patriotism becomes the most dangerous weapon.
How did Nigeria get here?

Im talking about children's rights here, how parents rather marry their children off at ridiculous ages to men twice their age when they can no longer take care of them...Those girls ur talking about ddnt have gud upbringings or the right choices, so don't put them in the same situation.
Its in Nigeria that issues like "Good upbringing " comes into play when discussing teen sex.
In Countries like UK and Britain, having sex is a very normal thing among teenagers,,,, infact it has turned to a leisure activity.....and of course we cant compare the level of development and organization they have to ours
The world has evolved, the psysh of young men and women has changed it mayb due to exposure to internet or Tv but things aint has they used to be......There is a decadence in our moral value in the world.
either we make available more condoms and contraceptives or we make away to integrate marriage and education of teenage girls.....
The rate of teen pregnancy is going to get worst....I had sex for the first time at 16, and that was them....imagine the age boys of now start engaging in sexual activities.

Let the girl figure out who she wants to be...if the man in question still wants to marry her and it has come to a certain agreement between the two families, and he has the funds, let him sponsor her education UNTIL the appropriate time for them to wed.
There is a 13year old girl in my street that has slept with virtually every guy she knows and she has had sex with people my Age.....
at that age she already knows the pleasure of sex,,,,,, and even many young girls her age are involved in sexual relationships with their partners.......a 15 year old got pregnant and gave birth in the same town......
Are we to ban sexual activities all together or just marriage?
Medically speaking a girl can give birth at that age without complications have done my research on it

Girls getting married at 13 or 14. children getting married and having children of their own, most of them without any formal education or training on how to take care of a household. This problem isn't just in Nigeria, its all over the world, and sadly where islam is practised and the belief is that a girl is eligible for marriage when she has matured..The world isn't what it used to be in the past, girls getting their period between the ages on 13-15, now even 9 year olds can start menstruating! So tell me is it still applicable that that child is ripe for marriage?

It should be made illegal no matter the circumstances. Girls have rights of their own, especially to an education that has been deprived from them already.
Am i support of your motion but i have Question, what if the girl gets married and continues school? And she is properly taken care of by her husband, she goes to the best schools?

For anybody who wants to come and attack APC's decision remember the propaganda being played about by AIT and NTA, without the recent scandal of AIT forging the spreadsheet that contained I.P addresses of the people who voted at the poll and using it to claim APC hacked them. If you were in APC shoes would you allow such people to now host a debate?
And Finally in 2011, GEJ refused to honor the debate between himself, buhari and one other candidate but instead decided to debate Dbanj.

APC POLLING FRAUD EXPOSED
Sequel to a an online polling organized by AIT it was discovered that APC agents hacked into the polling systems and compromised the poll. AIT's internal investigation revealed that 30 identified unique IP-Addressed had voted 4969 time in favour of Buhari, instead of 4969 unique IPs voting 4969 times. That means that they used a software application that incrementally changes IP address in an effort to mask an illegal operation. One of those fraudulent IP address involved in this operation is identified as 82.145.221.163, which increased to 82.145.221.186.
IP-ADDRESS TRACING/TRACKING REVELED THE FOLLOWING:

IP Adress City: Reykjavik
IP Address Region: Hofuoborgarsvaoio

The image below is evidence from AIT that APC rigged the poll....they released it
showing the I.P adressses of the people that voted, but AIT made a big mistake in

Bros, get your facts straight. The country with the lowest unemployment rate is Switzerland, followed by South Korea.
And don't try the usual "Western-controlled boogeyman" copout. The Ruble slid to junk status as a result of the sky-rocketing inflation that has greeted the country due to export sanctions and, most importantly, the crash of the oil market. Their technology and arms exports only account for a miniscule percentage of their revenuem and cannot survive on its own.

Bottomline is, Buhari's economic model does not run in harmony with the Open Market capitalist system we badly need at this point, and I'm sure even you are fully aware of this.
The link is not opening to the paper on state capitalism........Check it again and resend
But still the western open market capitalism system nearly ran the world into recession during the econmoic crisis
