There was a gun a soldier left resting on the gate, so I took the gun and pointed at the soldier while he was coming back, (I was putting on a mask tho) the funny thing was that he raised his hands up despite the fact that he was aware I was a student, and then I threw the gun, ran away and hid, and I wasn't chased by him, I escaped his wrath!

The world's longest pregnancy endured 375 days, unusually, the infant was just somewhat under seven pounds.

I don't think Dis is d longest because, a woman in my church was pregnant for 18 good months.... And I think a lot of people have even gone more than DAT...I don't know wat d cause is but most people believe it is spiritual... Can someone please educate me?
Many of this medical events are unverifiable due to our high ilitracy rate and poor medical institutions.
Its the same Nigeria that a single individual can get a +, -, +, - results from his HIV test done four different times , its the same Nigeria that a single individual can have three different genotypes.
In each of this case a literate person can attribute the discrepancies in the result to errors in the previous test while an illitrate can attribute the discrepancies as a result of a god performing miracles.
Alot of people dont know that medical conditions can make you miss your period for months without you being pregnant, in the absense of good medical institutions to educate people on medical issues, Nigerians would keep givng spiritual explanations to medical issues

Without evidence i can easily claim i visited mars last night with my withcraft powers and you are obliged o believe me since you believe a fellow saw the ghost of an old woman.
In the past when ignorance was much and technology was not advanced enough to disprove alot of nuisance people claim, people claimed alot of things but fastforward to 2016 and dicussions of nuisance like witchcraft is reduced to countries with high level of poverty and illitracy.
Do you know alot of Nigerians still believe a solar eclipse is caused by an Angry God? Do you know people still belive poverty is caused by a witch grandmother? Do you know Nigerians still believe road accidents are caused by witchcraft even when its evident the driver was overspeeding?

China is far ahead of Nigeria in terms of 'withcraftry', charms, black magic and the so called development.

When we approach you folks, with evidence, you run away. I remember a particular Nairalander that narrated his experiences in his 3 bedroom apartment. He talked about how an old woman always appeared in a particular room. I called Seun severally and others to come explain, and like I expected, they never showed up.

A ghost literally appears in the house.. The only plausible explanation was that the former occupant of the room must have died a terrible death. To someone like OP, may be the Nairalander who narrated his experiences had psychosis, including his guests who shared same experiences in the room.

If we tell you ghost exist, you argue, when we discuss withcraft, you argue.. I've come to realize you and your likes are better left with your unbelief.
1-provide a link to a ranking of countries based to witchery
2-Did the guy that saw a ghost record his contact with his ghost lady? if he did please provide evidence of his encounter of which i would prefer video evidence

You need to read more on Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Personality disorders, Depression... These stuffs vary from Witchcraft.

If you have ever seen a psychotic patient, you should know the likely consequences labelling them "WITCH". You'd almost get your face burnt. Unless your pastor is dum.b, he should know the differences.

Meanwhile, your post lack scientific references, it sounds so incoherent and clumsy. How could you call insomnia witchcraft? You've largely described hallucination, and that again isn't witchcraft.

Please read more on that and you will be amazed to know that the WHITES (who gave you education and everything you are/know today) believe and practice witchcraft!

The ignorant europeans( white in layman terms) gave us religious falacies and not education, they moved away from such nonsense along time ago when they attained the level of development that makes one who believes in wiches and wizards sound like an idiot. Offcourse there are still ignorant europeans whose low I.Q or Lack or Education can make him/her believe in such nonsense but a far majority of the population now understand that an illness is caused either by neaurological deficiency or a biological attack by microbs.
Fast forward to Africa and you would see the same behavior exhibited by Europeans at a time in the past when ignorance was the norm and eauropeans actually believed a solar eclipse was caused by an angry God. The high level of poverty and low level of litracy makes it possible for 99% of Nigerians to believe an accident is caused by witches and wizards ( who mostly recide in the rural villages) than a mechanical failure.
Bring video evidence of a rat turning into an old woman or an old woman turning into a rat and we can discuss from there. This is 2016 not 1801

Politics / Re: NJC Meets As More Supreme Court Justices Face Imminent Arrest by podosci(m): 9:37am On Oct 10, 2016
kingmoses1:
The DSS got it wrong because:

1) Search Warrants are executed between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM except on weekends.

2) Search Warrants are valid only if issued by a court of competent jurisdiction.

3) Search Warrants obtained in one State of Nigeria cannot be executed in another State excepted it is endorsed by a Magistrate or Judge equal in rank to the one that issued the Warrant.

4) Search warrants are usually executed in the presence of witness(es).

5) Only two or three agencies in Nigeria are charged with the investigation of corruption cases namely the EFCC, the ICPC and the Nigeria Police.

6) Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and VIPs who do not constitute a flight risk are usually invited to appear before investigation Agencies.

7) The National Judicial Commission (NJC) is the only body empowered to sanction Judges and Justices found wanting in the discharge of their duties.

cool The Judges in question have issued unfavourable judgements against the arresting Agency in the past; thus, casting aspersions on the motive for their arrest.

ISSUES FOR DETERMINATION

1) Did the arresting Agency actually procure an Arrest Warrant from a Court of competent jurisdiction?

2) Did the arresting Agency adhere to the rules governing the procurement and execution of a Search Warrant?

3) Did the arresting Agency exhaust the option of extending an invitation to the suspects before procuring the Arrest Warrant?

4) Did the arrested suspects at any time pose the risk of taking to flight?

5) Does the arresting Agency not have people at all the land, sea and air borders to prevent an escape of the suspects?

6) Did the arresting Agency at any time write a letter to the National Judicial Commission (NJC) highlighting the offences committed by the suspects and demanding their release for an interview?

Any person (even the government) can set up another person by planting money or gun at strategic location to achieve the intended aim.

It is the above flaws that responsible members of the society wants to prevent.
No. 1 is false, i checked google and search wareant can be executed anytime of the day both on public holidays.

I dont know much about law but i want to use my logic to guess if i have illigal 2million dollars in my house and i am invited by the police to ask if i have the money or not. Wont i go back home and quickly dispose of the money? Going by logic your number 6 is wrong

No. 4 is also false, if the is evidence stating a kidnaped victim is being held in a house, wont it be stupid of the Police to wait for the suspect to come back home before seaeching his house? Besides i recently concluded 3 seasons of (How to get Away with murder) and on several occasions seaech warrants were executed without the suspect presence.

The DSS as already released a statement that due process was followed in arresting the suspects, so i dont understand what all this noise is about
I believe we should channel our energy into fighting for defenceless Nigerians languishing in prisons accross the country because the judiciary failed to give them justice.

A search and arrest warrant can be executed anytime of the day and at any day of the week... A search warrant can be executed on your rotten corpse inside your grave.
The DSSas a national secutiry mandate, hope you realise a judges judgement lays the foundation for future judgement even long after he his dead, imagine of the judge sold a judgement to a corrupt politician, his judgement woild be used as basis for future judgement and consitute a threat to the secuity of Nigeria.
And does it really matter if the DSs or efcc or police carry out the arrest, ordinary Nigerians are dying in prisons for crimes they did not commit and nobody to speak on their behalfs but arrest a corrupt judge and illitrate Nigerians would finally find their voice

I dont know much about laws but wont it be stupid if the constituition actually states search and arrest warrant cant be executed at particular hours of the day? So if a kidnaped victim is being held in a suspect house of which he intends to kill him/her in the midnight , the police would have to chill outside is really sidence till the next morning before searching his house?.......... Nice job. Please do you need a soil test on a bungalow building or only on duplexes?
Technically you need a soil test to determine the type of foundation to be done weither bungalow or duplex......Specifically Any Raft foundation or pile foundation done without the result of geotechnic test is wrong.
For bungalows where the load is very small and a strip is to be used an alternative method not sactioned by most literature is physical obersavation of the sorrounding buildings to check how the building interact with the soil and the foundation used.

any reason for that?
The design was not done by us, Its between the client and the structural firm that did the design why a soil test was not carried out but we adviced all our clients to carry out a soil test.
On our part,we observed the physical characteristics of the soil to be okay during the excavation and also we went round the locality and observed other buildings, asked Question to assertain the type of foundation used by other buildings , from our physical observation the soil in that locality respobded well to the load buildings but i must reiterate this approach dose not take away the need for a geotecnic test.

QS is not needed for every project. Should somebody go and subscribe to the services of a QS because he wants to build a small building in his village?.

On this your 10m, 17, 19, 21, 25, 30m example, if we use my elimination method, 10m and 30m are out leaving 17m, 19m, 21m and 25m. The average of 17m, 19m, 21m and 25m is 82/4 which is 20.5m. So, you can use this to take a decision.

If you subscribe to a QS, does the QS normally factor in inflation and exchange rates that can drastically affect the estimates?. I hope you know that most people building do not have all the funds at once. Is time value of money factored in by the QS?. Most people normally stagger a project. So, if QS for instance said foundation will cost x amount when exchange rate was N197 to a dollar, do you have to go back to the QS now that exchange rate is N370 to rework all the estimates?.

The elimination is just an example, You can decide from experience that 17 and 25 would do the job, its even possible 10m would do the job but the likelihood of someone doing a very good job for you with 10m when the actual worth is 30m is very low. Thats why you still need ro use the competency of the builder to select.
Why not subscribe to the Consultancy services of the QS, so he would factor in the flunctuations in the prices of materials over time
The same way people decide a builder/Engineer is not needed for a small project, is the same way a QS is not needed. In Nigeria there is no aganecy to enforce building standards or the agency is not serious about it, everybody is free to build is house the best way he sees fit but i am letting you know the proper way to go so as to reduce the possiblities of being cheated or possibilities of a builder running a way with your money.
The method i explained above is how building contracts are evaluated and awarded by the Nigerian governement but corruption as replaced the process even contracts as low as 10m undergo the same process

@all, are you advising/advocating one employ the services of a QS personnel for a small private duplex? And I can see you including prices, is this advisable in our ever changing prices in the construction industry?
Thats why i prefer a consultancy approach in dealling with certain companies. Negotiate a consultancy service with your QS, he/she would offer you his services through the duration of the projec. He would be able to adjust the BOQ to reflect price fluntuations.

Get about five(5) quotes. Eliminate the highest and lowest and then take the average of the remaining three and see where it falls. When i was doing my roofing, i took five(5) quotes. The highest or lowest did not get the job. I was watching the women synchronized swimming event of the last Olympics where i heard the commentator explained how the marks are arrived at. She said that there is a panel of five(5) judges. The highest and lowest marks are eliminated while the marks of the remaining three are averaged out to arrive at the score for the competitors.
In the real sense of it, you ought to subscribe to the services of a Quantity surveyor, He would quantity your building from foundation to finishing with pin point accuracy.
The Bill of Quantity prepared by the QS would now be the medium you use to select a contractor for your builder or capenter for your roof.
Lets assume the sum of your building according to the QS is 20million, if several contractors come with wuotes of 10m,17m,19m,21m,25m,30m. You strike out the 10 and 17m because they lack the ability according to theire fiancial bid to do the job( it might result in the contractor running away with your money or doing a substandard job for you) , You also strike out the 25m and 30m because they are have gone out of the budget.
You are left with 19 and 21m. Thats were you now look at the competency of the contractor and check previous jobs he/she as done. If the 21m is more competent, you give him the job.
Just like the way clients run away from carrying out a Geothecnical test, is the same way the run away from acquiring the services of a Quantity Surveyor because they want to save cost to the detriment of their building in some cases
