That is NOT SHEKAU! |
Jmain: Bros, look am well na . .No be any edition . . . .Thanks for the clearer picture. But it only serves further to convince me that that is not Shekau. The lump is still obviously tilted to the right, and besides, I don't expect Shekau to ride to battle wearing that kind of pant. No sane strategists will do that, especially when he was supposedly making a triumphant entry to a 'captured' territory. What happened to his military fatigue? Naa, this IS NOT the 'fake' Shekua. It must be his double! Shekua is still out there! |
ResourceMan: www.nairaland.com/attachments/1731049_shekau1e14115770095411024x744_jpeg_jpeg1aadf9af6fa73fb5d1e682ebd78d48e3For what is worth, the position of the lump on the forehead in each of the two pictures are not exactly the same. The lump on the 'life' Shekau is directly on the center of his forehead. You can actually draw a line from his nose-bridge up and bisect the lump into to equal halves. The lump on on the 'dead' Shekau tilts a little to his right. Attempt to draw a bisecting line from his nose-bridge across his forehead at best only slightly slice the lump, that is if it not a tangent. |
Good riddance to bad rubbish! |
Whether real or fake, kill all shekaus and any who follow in their path! |
Sagamite: Sincere9gerian, tomakint, Jking001, PointB and others (with your numerous monikers), you are busted!Jobless people can't seem to keep my name off their tongues. So what exactly is this Sagamice? Have we met? ![]() |
sweetgala: Such were the ways of the time, many men were angered by the events where all northern and south-western leaders were kill , while Ironsi himself who was listed was not, neither was Zik or then senate president who were all Igbo.Does it justify Buhari's killing of unarmed comrades, who are neither politicians, nor officers? I mean comrades who are woken from the sleep and shot as they step-out for PE? |
sweetgala: The OP is insinuating that a Lt was in command of the actions of Lt Colonel and Majors . You must have little knowledge of military heirachy and order. He was part and partaker of the coup but not the leader.Never said he was the leader. Was only interested in showing that he participated in murdering of unarmed soldiers, his colleagues, in cold blood! Even Murtala Mohammed their leader was shocked and had to personally order them to stop the killings. |
Sharp guy, he knows best to say no to imaginary 72 virgins. ![]() |
seunmsg: I hope those calling for the break-up of Nigeria can learn from this scottish referendum. Scotland is far more developed than most of the geo political zones clamouring for independence in Nigeria and still, they voted to remain part of the United Kingdom. If we put our acts together as a country, we are far better off as one big united country. Nigeria must remain a big, united and indivisible union. All we need to make it work is to vote for good leaders based on merit and not tribal/ religious sentiment."Gold must be tested by fire." "The meat that has fat must proved it by heat of fire" The Scottish people indeed have voted to stay with the union. But the emphasis here is the people, and must remain so. The facts were presented to them, possibilities were analysed, promises and concessions were offered. At the end of the day, the people decided - to stay with Union. The Union did not forced them, at gunpoint, to stick with it! Until Nigerians have similar opportunity to confront their fears and make their decision, the forces and voices of disintegration will continue to be bolder and louder. Nigeria is untested, and the people are held in bondage by fear, distrust, and mutual suspicions. There are real issues and cannot be wished away on some illusion of sticking with giant Nigeria - a crippled giant! United Kingdom have proved itself again to the Scots, Nigeria must prove itself to her (constituent) people, or sooner or later go to blazes! |

It's not impossible, after all his APC was captured! Shekau is flesh, cut him he bleeds; shoot him, he dies! |
**yawns** |
Looks like it. It could very be Shekau private ride. I hope his body, or that of whoever rode in it, was riddled with bullets, even if, beyond recognition. Our gallant soldiers seems to have gotten a handle on counter insurgency. "Pursue, overtake, and recover " all that Shekau has stolen! Kudos to our gallant soldiers! |
GEJ till 2019! Haters can can relocate to Sambisa forest and await our gallant soldiers bullets! |
careytommy: You don't change the winning teamYou can say that again! GEJ till 2019! Haters can can relocate to Sambisa forest and await our gallant soldiers bullets! |
ihedinobi2: I actually find this somewhat believable. I'm pretty sure that buying arms from Russia could severely strain our relationship with America. It may be less severe with China but there is a question of China's own self-interest.This make sense. Intelligence gathering is also about getting connected to several arms dealers and manipulating them, if any country is adept at this, it is the US. The US has means, reach, and influence, and isn't bothered about using such. I believe such reach and influence was deploy in this case to frustrate and embarrass Nigeria. I have read arguments which seems to suggest that Nigeria should all buy her weapons from Russia This suggestion is simplistic in the sense that Russia companies may not have the every kind of weapon needed by the military, and that is beside making Russia a monopoly in weapon supply to Nigeria. In the end, Nigeria may have to take her destiny in her own hands and consider investing in more in the defense industry, and also encourage private investors to explore such. We shouldn't be buying weapons from South Africa or any African country for that matter. |
egift: The impact of a Buhari/Fashola 2015 is breaking the heart of every PDP memberMuslim-Muslim ticket is a NO-NO! |
Power is not given, it is taken!! Thanks Oyegun, but we prefer to take our chances! ![]() |
helpee: Why are Nigerians so quick to criticise every move this government makes to secure their lives. Intelligence world knows that such practice is commonplace the world over with everybody involved from FBI, KGB and everybody. To an average Nigerian, the money is either being laundered or FG is sponsoring book haram. Rubbish! There are two possibilities..... One is that Nigeria security need those military hardware so fast and so urgent that they can't wait to follow normal diplomatic channels. It happens world over. If book haram is about to attack Maiduguri and you know it will happen in a few days and diplomatic means of getting hardware takes weeks you go through the backdoor and use cash! Second scenario is that you want to buy wares that the International community are not willing to sell. In that case you go through private negotiators to get d arms through the backdoor. Nigeria is in war! You defend your territory first before u start talking about due process . Another reason for the transaction maybe to beat d Mole! It is obvious that book haram has infiltrated the military so much they will know what Fg is buying and when it will arrive if you use normal channels. With cash nobody knows what you are buying and when. I can bet my life the deal was done because of one or all d above reasons but FG can never come to say so cos such information require maximum classification. Be informed Nigerians. The international community will not defend Nigeria..... Only FG will and in War all is fair. Nigerians should realise that d FG is not dumb to quickly admit the money is theirs if something unheard of has happened. Only intelligent comments plsMake perfect sense! Thanks for the insight! |
Instead of killing them, arm them to the teeth, drop them behind enemy line, and task them to capture or kill Shekau, with freedom as their reward. |
Collynzo17: The ones in universities were invented by Soyinka.Bros no mind those people. If Soyinka wasn't a Yoruba man, you would have seen them singing a different tune. Shameless tribalists and bigots they are. |
Awoofawo: Uncle Wole started with good intention but his brain-child was hijacked by some bad elements from across the niger"The road to hell is paved with good intentions." |
Sahara reporters are known for their numerous lies. This is most likely one them. Waiting for more reputable news outlets to break the story. |
@topic, By all means do! |
EbolaParasite: THREE GBOSA for you. Excellent post! Thanks man, Some people will never admit the fact that Wole Soyinka also live in glass house, and should avoid throwing stone; they won't admit because of ethnicism. Unfortunately these days, tribalism has been intellectualized in an attempt to disguise it from the uninitiated. Until we begin to call a spade a spade, we'll continue to languish in the vicious cycle! |
goodslayer: the fvcktard is a waste of time, so in his village thought process, peeps that murder people that don't agree with there phoolish ideologies including great scholar of there own faith, can be compared to a pressure group used in resisting white supremacy in a university. pray, tell me why pointb should not be cut to pieces and fed with his own flesh.I can assure you are not the only one who desire a pound of PointB's flesh. But I must remind you yet again, while you wait in the long and growing queue, that "the lion's liver is a vain wish for dogs!" Perish the thought or perish with it! |
shymexx: You can feign ignorance all you want, and postulate whatever hypothesis, to find a link where there's none. However, that doesn't negate the fact that there's absolutely no correlation between the two.1. It's a big lie. What Wole Soyinka started in our higher institution is what is now known as a secret cult. It still bears the name Pyrate Confraternity, but the ideals are now brutish and bloody! Boko Haram was never the name of the group Yusuf started, and it wasn't bloody extremist group, until something snapped! Same a Pyrate Confraternity! 2. Refer to no 1. No point repeating myself simply because you did! Respecting someone doesn't translate to blind hero worship in my own book. Whatever it is Wole Soyinka has achieved in his lifetime, it does not erase the fact that the Confraternity he founded when he was young and naive, is what has become a monster in our institution. On that note, the learned Soyinka and the ignorant Yusuf converged! Deal with it, hero worshiper! |
barcanista: he built state iPP. Stop mentioning Jonathan when serious leaders are discussed. Kwankwaso is the Best Governor in this era and one of the Best in History. Its either Buhari or Sai KwankwasoWhere is the IPP and what's the capacity? |
shymexx: So, basically in your obtuse mind - an illiterate retort is a wicked retort', no? Just because the word "fraternity" has been bastardised by Nigeriasn and made intertwined with cultism, that doesn't necessarily mean they're the same thing. We can make similar argument for Sherrif in his sponsorship of Boko Haram: We all know that Boko Haram is the nickname in the Hausa language for the group officially known in Arabic as "Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati Wal-Jihad" (the People Committed to the Propagation of the Prophet's Teachings and Jihad). It is has also been suggested severally that "the reason Mohammed Yusuf founded Boko Haram appears to be that he saw an opportunity to exploit public outrage at government corruption." The corruption, greed, and other malaise in governance was responsible for the formation of Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati Wal-Jihad (boko haram), as a tool to confront these problems and perhaps bring people closer to allah through the doctrine. By every standard, these are lofty ideals, until something went wrong! What went wrong with the ideal behind the formation of Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati Wal-Jihad (a Confraternity) sponsored by Sherrif, could not be entirely different from the reason for the metamorphosis of the Pirate Confraternity founded by Wole Soyinka. If we can hold Sheriff accountable for sponsoring Boko Haram, Wole Soyinka should not be measured differently! |
lol, this is a wicked retort! While the white bearded one founded the deadly Pirate Confraternity raving our higher institutions, the other was instrumental in formative era of Boko Haram, ravaging the NE of the country. In founding these two terror groups, both men have one thing in common - lack of foresight! |
