Speaking on the rationale behind the debt, Fashola said: “I think it was the debt management office of the Federal Government that published the report that we have a debt of about N160billion. I don’t know the intent of the publication but if it was to inform the public, I think we have always kept the public informed anytime we borrow money. If there are other intentions behind that, only those who make the publication would know what the intentions are.Sounds to me like a man, trying to explain away the reason his hand was found in the cookie jar. Anyway, Mr Fashola, indeed anytime you want to borrow money, we know how you arm-twist, and rigmarole FG to sign-off, so we appreciate the transparency of the FG in this timely reminders of who borrowed what. Can you Mr. Fashola, kindly enlighten us on how you spent the money you borrowed. We want know for sake of transparency in governance. |
forgiveness: Pls tell me something. Is FERMA reconstructing or expanding ikorodu road?Let's say the answer is NO! Was the 160B spent on Ikorodu Road? #FasholaBringBackOur160Billion |
iwonbaoko: Why talk like an ignorant market woman if you don't know keep quiet rather than make a fool of yourself. This loan was negotiated and agreed in 2010 during Fashola's first term. There has been no secrecy and that information has always been public for real Lagosians. Is it that easy to borrow 160 billion from the World Bank? Loans that are given out at close to 0% interest. Find out before you start making noise. The loan was agreed before they ever broke ground on the rail project which has been under construction for years. It was Iweala who was MD when the World Bank approved the loan. The loan was agreed in tranches. The World Bank was ready to release the next tranche so that means they were happy. The Fg was playing politics that is allGuy just shut up if you don't know what's at stake! Who is talking about where the loan was borrow from or not? What difference does it make if it was from IMF or World Bank? The bigger questions I asked, if I must repeat for the sake of those like you who lacking in comprehension, are: 1. What is Fashola currently doing with over 40B monthly (29 from IGR + 11 from FG) 2. What is on ground to justify the 160B he has collected as loan? Those are the key issues, not which external bank he got the loan from or who approved it! #FasholaBringBackOur160Billion |
What sort of explanation is this? If the FG had refused to approve the loan, this same Fashola and his co-travelers will moan and grumble and accuse government of all sort of scheming, and what's not. Yet, he had the gut to blame FG for approving the loan! Who requested for it in the first place? Arrant nonsense! Now to more important matter of the defence. Pray, anyone, what did Fashola do with an Internal Generated Revenue (IGR) of close to 29 Billion monthly, plus generous Federal Allocation of over 11 billion (a princely sum of 40B monthly), let alone addition debt of 160B. How come in most part of the mainland, Lagosians could barely feel the impact of these humongous sum? Most flowers and grass in Lagos were planted prior to 2007. Did Fashola borrow 160B to water these flowers? Most projects touted to have done by Fashola administration post 2007 are projects that could have easily been executed with a fraction of the monthly IGR. Aside the mono-rail, and Lagos-Badagry road which have all stagnated, what exactly is Lagos State doing with over 40B monthly income? Shouldn't Lagos state be loaning other states funds? Why borrow addition 160 billion naira, when you barely did anything with 40 billion? #FasholaBringBackOur160Billion |
idupaul: Ever heard of FNN (Fake News Nigeria)Aww. Same guys thats broke the Visa ATM Card travel document news? It pays really to check the link. I was sold. Thanks |
See the way they bundled the idio.t away. ![]() I can only imagine what was going on in his mind when he thought everything was going on smoothly. By the way, did they also tell him the Ghana-Must-Go back will also be invisible during the operation? Did he test the ring before launching into a real operation. This one is a foolish thief. Fortunately for his, he won't be charged with armed robbery! |
princebergz: you sef don Fu*k, see as u just generalize... so because some parochial kinsmen are biased all Yorubas are now the same? oga o... you sef no better...Guy no vex jo. Na true you talk, not all yorubas are like that. The gallant soldier, the topic of this discourse, is an example, as well as you. Respect! |
MayorofLagos: ...you know!!Yorubas. Always first to inject tribalism into every thread. Shame @topic, Let me join balanced Nigerians to wish Adeboye Obasanjo speedy recovery. Respect to all Nigerian soldiers - the dead, the dying, the wounded, the living, the brave, and the gallant! God bless you all! |
donroxy: It is a lie , it is only kponmo that is not soaked in soup that will have no nutritional value ..... There is this kponmo tagged ''karibiti mumi ata yo'' roughly translated as ''curly-curled kponmo extremely nourished in nutritious soup'' .... That one has incomparable nutrients in which your brain, eyes and whole body system will clear ....You make salivate for pepper soup! hehehehe ![]() But it is not the pommo that bestowed those value but the pepper and soup. |
torkaka: And your next line will be . . . . . . .APC sponsored washington postWell, since you've already concluded it's APC sponsored, who am I to argue with you. All is want is for the boko bastards to #ReleaseOurGirls, and of course for Nigerians to #BringBackGoodluck2015 |
Every publicity is good publicity. Washington Post can wash my ar/se! ![]() #BringBackGoodluck2015 Sounds cool! |
Great idea. Pommo have little or no nutritional value. Harnessing it's income potential is a right course. I also agree that cattle farmers will be better for it. I see more people becoming cattle farmer. Perhaps it's time to become a ranch owner! |
Krak: Sometimes death is better than what most of those girls are currently passing through. That's you. I prefer my child back alive, I would never gladly accept the death of my child, let alone an only child. "A living dog is better than a dead lion." But of course I recognize we all place different premium on life! |
Krak: Guy, the Chairman is being practical. This is what is called the Devil's Alternative. What if your (only) child is among the abducted? Would you still go for Devil's Alternative? |
This is easier said than done. If there is any shred of hope of bringing this girls back, the Chibok Chairman, and indeed FG should not play God with their lives. The military need to mount a sustain campaign to push the terrorist back, and at the same time use the cover of such campaign to located the various camps the girls are kept, secure and rescue them. YES our military CAN rescue the girls! |
The potential is there, and so is the drive. Surely he will, it just a matter of time! I already like the Innoson SUV design: https://i.imgur.com/XMR2LLy.jpg They looks as solid as KIA! |
Meanwhile kindly add no 25: 25. He installed Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as Emir of Kano, to provide him some sort of immunity from prosecution as FG corruption and terror financing microscope hovered over him! ![]() |
24. His rural work and development proved great as hundreds of villages were supply with electricity.Did he build a State IPP, or simply claimed GEJ power improvement initiative as his own? Some of these politicians are very interesting. |
In summary: 1. Stephen Davis was a freelancer, 2. He was not engaged by anyone (make this X 2) 3. He has no scoop on Ihejirika, other than knowing his name 4. His information on Sherrif is more or less what we all know, he said nothing new about Sherrif and Boko Haram formative years 5. His opinion on opposition support for boko haram is same as what 'we' have been saying - gaining presidency through terror- nothing new here. 6. Sponsors of Boko Haram cannot control them if they win election. Sherrif is a living witness of that 7. Boko Haram have several commanders (who doesn't know that?) 8. Boko Haram commanders told him everything he's saying (and he never verified) 9. These commander names were not mentioned (but their sponsors name are easy to say) 10. Some Boko Haram commanders will surrender, and release the girls, and give us the names of their other sponsor, if the mentioned sponsors are arrested (I fitn't laugh) My opinion is simple, Mr. Stephen Davis is an attention seeker, who probably is looking for job! |
If the boko boy will be sensible enough to repent, drop their weapons, and surrender, then the soldiers will stop killing them. Until then, any terrorist found holding a gun should be summarily shot! No mercy for the terrorists! |
nduchucks: The generals are NOT being investigated. They have been convicted!! What other investigation do you want to be concluded? The names of the generals should be revealed now!!And of what benefit will their names be in the larger scheme of thing? Or is just to satisfy your bigoted theory? |
nduchucks: You are a fool for attempting to derail this thread.I think the foolish one is you. Why didn't you wait for the investigation to be concluded before insinuating that 2-3 of the men are from this or that tribe? If you weren't bigoted, of what importance is the tribe in comparison to the crime? If you weren't foolish, wouldn't you have noticed that 2-3 three from one tribe is a fair representation of the geographic trend of the criminality if another 2-3 tribes complete the remaining 10. In your haste to brandish your card as a well known Igbo hater, you fail to see the follies of your case. Now if indeed, Igbos are part of the soldiers found culpable of supplying weapons to Boko Haram, no one need to tell you they are not working for Ndi Igbo, and should be held accountable for their crimes. But it is very bigoted for you to insinuate such even without any evidence. |
nduchucks: I wonder o, my brother. Our Commander-In-Chief should order the naming of these moles and thieves. I, however, will not hold my breadth since we've been waiting for him to name the BH sponsors in his government, as he promised, for over 3 years now.I'm no brother to a tribal bigot and Igbo hater like you, please desist from calling me such. I know deep down in your heart you wish that Igbos will be found culpable in the misfortune that have befallen Borno. But if you do a critical self assessment, you'll be shocked to see that hatred for Igbos/Christians/Infidels that have for so long occupied the mind of folks like you is what is manifesting itself in form of destruction of your cities. What started as effort to rid yourself of Igbo/Christians has been escalated to include moderate muslims, and christian sympathizers. You can chose to continue in your wicked, evil and devilish imagination, and see it soon enough metamorphose into bombs, and bullets and destruction of your abode, or you can choose to see Igbos/Christians in your communities as fellow Nigerians who are simply trying to make ends meet the way they know best! Whichever way you choose, one thing should be clear Igbos, as and ethnic group, remain for now a solid pillar in the Nigeria tripod, and we shall continue to assert ourselves as such. |
nduchucks: These treasonable attrocities were taking place during Ihejirika's tenure but not a single general was accused let alone convicted. Thankfully the current Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Minimah led investigations and conviction of the generals. And the other 8-7 are from which tribe, Mr Tribal Warlord? |
edogho: just dey let u know say U dey fall APC hand. we know theives don't change, they only improviseI no fall APC hand, na dem fall my hand. Abi you no dey see the way dem they accept every pdp Tom, di.ck, and harry? |
edogho: see ya mumu signature sef. so na thieves full APCGuy, no vex if you no like my signature. But monkey no fine, im mama like am! ![]() |
Gargantuan |
Just passing by, no comment! |
Jakpon: Flooded Enugu international airport. This is the landmark achievement of Gej to the igbosYou assume that proper drainage will not be constructed now that this issue has come to fore? How much/long will it cost to do this little adjustment? Anyway, we rather a flooded airport than none! |
aljharem: Hahaha, I am actually awori of the Yoruba ethnic group from Lagos island isale ganganhehehehe, Okay oo. Please don't change your ethnic group again oo, else the little credibility you still have will be completely eroded! Anyway, welcome to the good side. |
aljharem: @ Point B. I do not support political parties as well which I made clear. I support individuals and hate hypocrites. All clear and all correct, At least we can agree on this point you've raised, and of course reserve our right to disagree on other things! ![]() By the way, which ethnic groups do you claim these days - Half Igbo-Kanuri, Hausa, or Yoruba, or Itshekiri? Funny guy |
Your apology is accepted Aljharem, But I will still burst your bubble, I don't support party, I rather prefer to support individuals with good hearts, and good intention; and those who show genuine efforts, rather than that those who play politics of power and money. The major problem with PDP was Obj and Anenih, as Tinubu is the albatross of APC. Today, PDP have been able to cage Obj, and limited the role of Anenih, to the point that he's hardly heard. In PDP today, party members are given free reigns to select their flag bearer, in gubernatorial elections, among others. And general elections are allowed to run, relatively freer and fairer. PDP is becoming the party Nigeria wanted them to be, perhaps thanks to GEJ leadership style! On the other hand, in APC every route leads to Tinubu. He say-so is ultimate. APC Politicians are seen jostling left and right to be in his good books, and get his nods. While this is good for party cohesion, it creates a cult followership (of a godfather figure) which, in the medium to long term, is not good for the electorate! Tinubu has effectively consolidate his iron grip on power, essentially setting up an empire (political and financial) that if successful, will remove the power to elect Nigeria leaders, from the electorate, and vest such on himself, with his rigging machine. Ultimately, what Tinubu intend to achieve, is a system where he install his loyalists both within the states and federal system, and control such from Burdillion. How many people are unable to see this, is utterly shocking! Fair to say, some of us have seen what Tinubu is and capable of, especially during Fashola reelection saga! Today, see what Fashola has become - a man who get so much from Lagos, yet transforms the state the most indebted, with little or no improvement since 2011! The lesson learnt then was that Tinubu (in whatever form he comes) cannot and should not be trusted with power. APC is not the opposition party Nigeria longed for, hopefully the right one will come, sooner rather than later! So for now, it's GEJ till 2019! |
