PoliticsRe: Why The South West Should Not Vote For Jonathan by PointB: 7:43am On Sep 05, 2014
PaulJohn1:
The SEners or the Igbos have their choice to make for reasons best known to them which I have no issues with.
You comparism of Obj's performance with that of Gej's made it obvious you're towing that line I'm not interested in. I assume your expectation was for one to defend Obj, but u got it wrong.
Fair enough, vote who would, and we will do as well.
PoliticsRe: Why The South West Should Not Vote For Jonathan by PointB:
PaulJohn1: Way better than Obj, but still performs far below expectation.
I assume you're viewing this with tribal lens. Voting against Jonathan in the SW is nothing related to his tribe or religion but his poor performance in the region. The same diplomatic reasons 5 of the 6 SW States voted for him in 2011, is the same diplomatic reasons majority of us 'll to vote him out in 2015.
The man Obj has never been good to his region, you wonder why his best options for us were the likes of Gbenga Daniel, Akala, Fayoshe. People of no reputation.
Tinibu is not a good fella, but those he presented to us through his party are technocrats of admirable records. You wanna compare Fashola, Amosun, Aregbe, Fayemi to those Obj had?!

All I'm saying is that GEJ'll be voted against in the region, not because of tribe but because of the his little or no performance in the region.
It's funny the way you on one hand claim that I am 'viewing this from tribal lens' while you arrogate 'diplomatic reason' to yourself. This condescending attitude is one follies of many of you acclaimed Yoruba folks.

Have you bothered to compare how the SE fared (in many ramifications) under GEJ, in comparison with other past presidents? If you do this analysis objectively, would you say SE shouldn't vote for GEJ again for a second term? If you did this analysis, and still continue to think, let alone say that people from SE who support him are doing so from tribal reason, then I'll say you and any other people with this view, are very bigoted!

For the avoidance of doubt, till date, GEJ presidency has given many people from SE, and indeed many Nigerians, a level playing ground. That is why we support him. We don't support him for ethnic reason, as this is illogical - GEJ is not ethnically Igbo!

Anikulhapo: The South West Has Been Heavily Marginalized By The Jonathan Led Fg,since 2010,Jonathan Has Transform Next To Nothing In The South West,Maybe because Of How Pdp Fared In The Last General Election Where They Got Only One Senator, zero Governor Nd A Few House Of Representatives.List Of Projects Abandoned Or Has Not Been Attended To By Jonathan Include The Following; the Ibadan/ilorin Expressway, Ibadan/akure Expressway(which Stopped At Osun State), Failure To Complete Oyo/ogbomoso Section Of The Ibadan/ilorin Expressway Which Has Claimed Lives, the 132 KVA Project In Ogbomoso Nd Lastly, The Failure Of The Federal Government To Complete The National Stadium Here In Ogbomoso Which Was Abandoned When The Current Apc Led State Took Over(maybe He Abandoned It Because The Apc Candidate Defeated The Pdp Candidate) Nd Other Federal Projects In South West, Instead His TAN Came To Ibadan To Campaign For His Second Term,my Dear South Westerners, should We Still Vote For Him, Never!
Compare his effort with Obj, and you will see the difference!

Good one.

I hope cement price continues to go down. It'll lessen the burden of those who are building houses, and encourage those yet to start.

Nice combo. Should bring in the SE voters.

SE will switch over to APC if they win the APC Presidency ticket. Don't worry, will remember to vote Rochas, not APC!
SE will not vote for VP!
PoliticsRe: Jonathan’s Hostage Negotiator Puts Him In A Tight Corner. by PointB:
nduchucks: Oga, you are an ungrateful thickheaded biafran. smiley

At least Dr. Davis named a couple of names. Your outrage and disdain should have been directed at GEJ who promised Nigerians that he would name Boko Haram sponsors several years ago - we are still waiting for him.
You've always been an olodo, my Arewa friend. So I'm not surprise you were rattled by that simple question. Next time try harder or keep quiet, at least that would have still masked your lack of capacity! cheesy grin

At least one individual who dealt mortal blows at boko haram is named boko haram sponsor, and you are dancing around. Bros, you na wa for you!

Caseless2: i'm sure u wld hav gone to church for a thanksgiving ceremony if buhari/ tinubu were the ones indicted in this revelation. You,
Frugal Coy!!!
Buhari doesn't have to be named terror sponsor for Nigerians to know he is a terror sympathizer, and possible financier. The blood of our youth corpers who died through his (in)action after the last presidential election still cry for vengeance, and I believe they will get it in this life or in afterlife. And his threat of soaking the baboons and dog in blood should he lose another election is very documented, as well his role killing unarmed soldiers during the July 66 counter coup. So your buhari is a man soaked in innocent bloods, he is no saint! He place of despise is cemented in the anal of Nigeria history, and no one can dispute it! He will continually fail in his attempt to lead this country again!

But we are not discussing him here, we are trying to unravel the motive behind Dr Davis allegations, which to every discerning mind, stood logic in it's head. Now why don't say what you think about this topic, rather than gloating over thief..nubu, and Buhari!

IgboMonk: Good one slave
Check out the smile. That's one happy slave, hoping against hope to sustain the status quo!

I've got news for him, Nigeria must bend of break! It's must fairly serve all the citizens of the country, or be served quit notice by the citizen! The people are more important than Nigeria, not the other way round! And if the death of Nigeria will grant better living condition to the people of the defunct Nigeria, then by all means, let Nigeria die!
PoliticsRe: No, Northerners Are Not Parasites. by PointB: 8:09am On Sep 04, 2014
oduastates: This is another kunbaaya "there is no problem with the idea of Nigeria " article.
People can choose to bury their heads in the sand .
We are not the same and Nigerians live their lives that way.
Lagos gets her tomato from the north but also gets her bad governance from Abuja ,bombs from the north .Lagos makes her star lager beer but that beer is banned in the north .
Tomatoes which can be grown in a plant pot anywhere in the SW.
Let them take their tomatoes ,oil and onions.
We choose our sovereignty over crap anytime.
Despite all the evidence around ;the rot ,the crime ,the lawlessness, the infrastructural decay, the difference in aspiration /world view /attitudes to modernity.
I guess the writer is invested in the one Nigeria project because he directly benefits from it.
Even foreigners are wondering why haven't broken up something that is obviously not working.
We all know the answer,
OIL

it is difficult to let go the easy money which benefits only a few.
Useless article.
Makes sense!

Still waiting to read a strong rebuttal to "Yorubas are the problem of Nigeria" - By Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, former Governor of CBN, and present Emir of Kano.

Some people are just very good at chasing shadows, and avoiding substance!
PoliticsRe: Jonathan’s Hostage Negotiator Puts Him In A Tight Corner. by PointB:
This whole idea of Boko Haram commanders, naming their sponsors, through Davis, is simply a smokescreen. It's main objective is to create further suspicions, and with it, division in the fight against terror.

If Boko Haram 'commanders' (these nameless ones Davis want us to believe in), wished to reveal the identity of their sponsors, what prevented them from naming the bank official who launders and transfer the blood money? And while at it, how about the 'bag man' in Egypt who is directly responsible for dishing out the funds? Surely those two - the 'sender', and 'distributor', would have been closer to their circle than indeed those who source for the funds, and should resonate often in the daily discussion of these faceless 'commanders' (whom Davis appears to be protecting).

It very clear to discerning minds that what Dr. Davis bought from these murderers is, indeed, a very obvious lie - a smokescreen! It is not worth the distraction it's creating in the war effort!

egift: Story for the gods. So the President of Nigeria is telling us an Australian came to Nigeria and executed such a High-Profile Operation with anyone in the Presidency knowing shocked shocked shocked

Were they all drunk and asleep? I thought it is only one man that is drunk in Aso Rock?
It's one thing to know, and it another thing to support/give approval.

If he had succeeded in rescuing the girls, perhaps we could have taken him serious. Apart from the plenty fairy tale he's spurn, what else did he achieve?

Dr Davis failed in his mission, therefore he is an orphan! He will walk alone!

PoliticsRe: Pix:with Such Weapons With BH, Why Won't Soldiers Run? by PointB: 6:42pm On Sep 01, 2014
Mcbussy: See dis 1...does d 2nd pix look like an assault weapon to you. Tell me how u'll defend urself when you are shooting a fixed artillery weapon. undecided

To be honest, our soldiers are out gunned because they're not using the right weapons.

Just look at that Armored personnel carrier with tyres...a Lt. Colonel was burnt alive in sumthn like that last year.instead of using a proper, fully metal tank, they're patrolling in an armored vehicle that can easily catch fire....hmm,not funny
But those are part of, and are by no means, the complete arsenal of the Nigeria Army. And there is nothing wrong with having armored vehicles with tires, as different operation demands different tool. A right mix is very necessary for the kindly of urban guerrilla tactics the terrorists are using. Going through the link in my initial post, you will realize that our soldiers appear to have different kinds of weapon, which I believe is specific to their nature operations, and specific task!
PoliticsRe: Why The Efforts To Suppress Rev. Stephen Davis Findings On Boko Haram? by PointB:
egift: Why are these my good friends cold as water when have been told the Sponsors of the dreaded Boko Haram that has been killing 1000s of Nigerians. shizzlestar, M0gidi,pvtparts,bishopmagic,chino24,chy101,firefire,c0llynzo14,jmaine,buddahmonk,decibel,descartes,opiaoku,pointb,chukwudi44,idumuose,gramci,jmoore,tomakint,jman06,rudedough,truckpusher,omenxonomy,99100,gentlemimi,sunnybobo3 and others. We did like to see your out rage.
My position on the matter is very clear, and for the avoidance of doubt let me reiterate with these posers.

1. Boko Haram 'commanders' will not just give up the names of their sponsors just like that. In other words, they or Stephen Davis is lying
2. What by the way are the identities of these commanders? Didn't they tell Davis their names, or is he protecting them (terrorists) too ?
3. Isn't it convenient for Boko Haram to mention the man (Ihejierika) who fought them to standstill, killing several of them, as sponsor as a means of revenge and distraction?
4. Now why would Boko Haram 'commanders' fail to mention the 'bag man' who directly pass the money to them as sponsor, but mention (a) the man who has stopped giving them money and (b) the man who killed several of their members?
5. Who is the CBN Official who facilitated these transfers to their 'bag man' in Egypt?
7. How are Sheriff and Ihejierika 'sponsoring' these lying murderers?

You see there are too many loose ends which makes these whole 'sponsors' naming campaign a smokescreen; and big fog to distract the war effort. Unfortunately, a highly divided and polarized electorates are wont to buy this figment of terrorist propaganda and imagination, even without any shred evidence, beyond - terrorists told me tales of Mr. Davis.

The most unfortunate part is the attempt to tarnish the name and legacy of a war hero and boko haram tormentor in the person of Gen. A. Ihejirika. That's my friend is one thing Nigerians should close rank and reject!

Boko Haram are only pissed that Sherrif withdrew his support for them, and Ihejirika commanded offensive that decimated them in Sambissa and beyond! I can imagine their pain, and urge to revenge. But this 'sponsors' storyline involving these two persons is too far-fetched for a Ghallywood plot! Another try perhaps!

PoliticsRe: Boko Haram: Australian Investigator's Allegations Against Sheriff And Ihejirika by PointB: 2:37pm On Sep 01, 2014
So Boko Haram commanders told Mr. Davis their sponsors, but could not mentions the name of their bag-man in Egypt? While at it, what are the identities (real not made up ones) of these Boko Haram commanders that Mr. Davis had encounter with? Surely, they would have told him their names as part of the ice breakers during his interaction with them. He could have even overheard them calling themselves.

And who is this unnamed CBN Official who mentioning his name will jeopardize investigation, but the others whose name he mentioned will not jeopardize investigation?

Personally, I think Mr. Davis is just being mischievous, with his attention seeking co/ck and bu/ll story!

If it were I wouldn't have asked, dear lady.

As an APC supporter, do you think Rochas is not qualified to run for the presidency, or is there any other reason you don't what him to run?
