Politics › Re: President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Approval Rating by PointB: 12:35pm On Jul 22, 2011 |
kITA TITA: I think he did well handling the Minimum Wage issue. He remained Presidential throughout. Quality of the FEC in core areas of the economy is also good; attracting Ngozi and Prof Nnaji and retaining Labaran Maku, who informs the citizenry about government programs without making a noise about it. He has also done well in foreign policy. Boko Haram; I'll say neither here nor there but that's an extension of the challenging security environment in the country. I will score him low on cost of governance and anti-corruption. Overall, I think he is not a noisy president and I respect him for that. I didn't vote for him but he has done more than I could ever give him credit for. I agree with this assessment. I however will like him to pay more attention to the power sector. They have to stop brandishing targeted kilowatts and megawatts, as this should be left for the private sector - like the GSM stuff. What he need do is to ensure that stumbling blocks in the privatisation of PHCN are eliminated/removed. They FG shld offer incentives or what have you to private companies who can generate substantial electricity in record time. Then again he need a very robust PR machine. His 'human' relations and connection with the people is on the low. He seems efficient though, and does not interfere unnecessarily with ongoing projects or policies. (speaking which I would have fired Sanusi (for over-heating the polity) and Waziri (for ineffectivness) if I were him; but would that be good or bad? I can't say) |

sheyguy: festac pple shld stick to their Local Govt. Area and agitate for better governance the right way. As for festac being dominated by Igbo Pple i totally agree with dat but festac was not created by Igbos neither was it developed by the Igbos. and by the way how will they sustain themselves? what will be their economic contribution/means as a state? Yahoo bois or Drug dealers? in the worst case, federal allocation like everyone else. why is that hard to comprehend? |
Politics › Re: Movement For The Creation Of FESTAC STATE by PointB: 9:34pm On Jul 21, 2011 |
Onlytruth: I really think that we should pursue this Festac State with vigor. I have wondered how we pay all those taxes in Lagos state without adequate voice. I say we team up with all non-Yoruba groups in Lagos and push for it. If Yoruba try nonsense, we show them pepper there.
Wetin sef. Ride on man; Yoruba can bark, but they cannot bite. Soon the son of Zik will be a governor in Lagos, and heaven will not fall. If anyone makes tries anything; there will be curfew, state of emergency, and shoot at sight. Who wan die? Yoruba man? i laff in olodowa odudowa |

Go ask your polygamous father what he underwent during his almajiri days, before he was able to make living through killing of guests and christians. Keep deluding ursef, thinking that alhaji that u're rearing cows for will change your pathetic life, chai! I dey am por sorry, I hear? I know u must be feeling accomplished to have had your tall dream of arguing with a southerner, cos most of your relationship with them is based on gateman-oga relationship. Politics › Re: Nigerian Militants Challenge Boko Haram ! For Real by PointB: 10:45am On Jul 21, 2011 |
otulak: This is going to be a war between the SOUTH SOUTH(MEND) and the NORTH EAST(BOKO HARAM). They should hold their peace because it is the SOUTH EASTERNERS residing in the north that will suffer it. When two Elephants are fighting, the grass suffers (When North and South fights, the East suffers). This is not very correct. I learnt most Easterner and SSners in the North have mastered the art of protecting themselves. It is the SWners who think they can blend in that normally pay the full price. SE lose materially, SW lose lives and material belongings. But because they refuse to speak and refuse to learn, it happens over and over again. |

@topic He planted grass by the roads and the real people are crying. Read this article: http://www.punchontheweb.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art201107211334979The Chairman, Ilupeju Community Development Association, Mr. Charles Agumuo, who spoke to PUNCH METRO on Saturday said the area lacked basic amenities.
He said, “Since we have been in this community, we have not felt the impact of the government. There has been no material impact through social amenities. We do not have either a school or health centre. We have nothing to fall on in an emergency situation.
“Our children still ask if we are part of Lagos and we tell them that we only exist on the map of Lagos State.” |
