After fasola, it's fair game who gets to be the governor of Lagos state.
The no-man's land status of Lagos will be tested again. That's the time the real Nigerians and Lagosian will put any end to the Tinubu dangerous experiment.

SW, nay, Lagos is too strategic to be left in the hands of 'rascals!'

and @Gbawe

No body said he should not fight for development or against anti-people cabals and what haveyou. But leading the charge with gun-toting brigands is a whole new level altogether. Suppose some trigger-happy mobster opted to play Russian roulette with a shot gun? Imagine what could have happened to an executive of a state. Theere are much better way he could have handled it - rule of law (not jungle justice). We might not be like US or UK, but nevertheless, we are not Somalia, and Ogun state is certainly not a jungle.  Well if it is a Governor should still show decorum.  Or could it be a case of leopard being incapable of changing its spots?

I don't know why people are surprised about the character of Amosun. I blame the Nigerian media for not shinning light properly on the character of this man. Amosun was a cultist when he was in Ojere i.e. Ogun State Polytechnic now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic. In the days preceding the 2007 governorship election in Ogun State in which Amosun contestd against OGD under the umbrella of ANPP, Amosun was shown on Gateway TV in the midst of youths raising machets and cutlasses and chanting "O n f'iku sere o, o n f'iku sere, OGD o n f'iku sere" meaning "he is toying with death, he is toying with death, OGD he is toying with death". The point I am making is that, this guy is not different from OGD in terms of malevolence and all. They are birds of like feathers only seperated by ambition.
He who come to equity must come with open arm. This governor is on the spotlight, let's see how he dances!

The thread was not intended to disparage Ekiti state, having hailed from the South west myself.Amazingly, some saw this as an opportunity to put the state down. For crying out loud, she is just unlucky to receive one of the lowest statutory allocation, which depends on the population, land mass etc, from Abuja.
Well at least let the Ekiti peps do the right thing. SW shld not be on the bottom 5 in terms of poverty. Translate your education to wealth, just like the SE/SS have done so well!

Yes Ekiti is a small state with no major mineral resources n industries,bt yet there r so many positive things there,
Some other states too fall in same cateogory
*D people r nice,friendly and hospitable.
Most people (well, with exception to some Northern states, that derive sadist pleasure in murdering themselves and their guest. I hope they are thought good lesson by JTF and maybe Apkot (or whatever their name is)

*little or no crime rate(infact while i was there during my nysc,i heard of a single robbery incident n d people started closing shops in far away  n driving goats inside.Even banks @ Ikole didnt work 4 3days.Infact i was amazingly amazed cos its no deal ova here.
Paranoia is not a positive

*Agricultural viability.
Which state isn't?

*Good climatic condition.
Crap.

*Tourism potentials
Have you ever heard of 'slum tourism"

*Good topography.Etc
Whatever that means!

All dis cud b annexed 4 maximum dev.Long live Ekiti.
This is the most important you have said so far. Question is: What are you waiting for? Immigrants?  grin grin grin grin

Ekiti is not a poor state.  The leaders are rather not exposed or lack transformational ability. With such vast lands, yet one calls the state poor.  How about turning the state into a mechanized agriculture state focusing on cash crops? Banana is a bonafide cash crop capable of generating tons of foreign exchange for the state, yet the leaders prefer cap in hand waiting for allocations.
Spot on! This exposes yet again the lies about so call Ekiti State having above average number of educated people. Any education that cannot lift you out of poverty is a waste. A people cannot rise above their quality of education! Ekiti state should improve the quality of their education and also put such education to good use!

Gbawe:
No word on how Amosun, barely two months in office, is repairing a strategic section of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway that 419 Bi-Courntey and "performing" OGD failed to do anything about for so long even as that particular section was causing abject misery to the people of Ogun State? I did not think you will have any comment on that same as I did not expect you to comment on how it is now revealed that 419 Bi-Courtney does not have an Asphalt plant on site as claimed. You are just so transparent it is laughable. You will side with the devil , and ignore his misdeeds, so long as that devil is taking on a Yoruba person. Shameful.
Hmmmn,
repairing a strategic section of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway
I dey laff ooo. Why dont you come back and tell me when he has finished repairing a paltry 500 meter section of a road. Perhaps, this time around leading bigger band of brigands. grin grin grin grin grin

By the way the same 419 B-Courtney are the operators of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2.  So much for 419 company, especially if they are being battled by an ex-cultist clueless ACN governor.  grin grin grin grin grin

Oga, this tread is not about Yoruba, stop seeing yourself as an ethnic champion, you are doing a pathetic job at that.

So you call this damage control 'debunked'?

I dey laff ooo.

If the story is truely 'debunked' where is the rebuttal by Guardian News to this story:
http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=55694:ogun-firm-feud-may-stall-lagos-ibadan-road-project&catid=1:national&Itemid=559
Yet still, the 234next news still maintained
Ironically, the state government has been engaged in a battle of wits with Bi-Courtney, the company that won the federal government's concession to manage and repair the largely failed road about four years ago.
Yet, Nairaland ACN/Amosun a$$ lickers will have us believe the story has been 'debunked'

And how about ex-cultist story? Has it been 'debunked' too?

I dey laff ooooo grin grin grin grin grin
