The funny thing is that this declaration hold no water.
Clueless as they are, the SE politicians will be smart enough not to sign up. Signing up means signing up to Military occupation by a sectional army in the name of terrorist fighting.
Dead on arrival. |

The most important question is "what does the law say?" Are we beholden to failed political leadership, so-called elites, and useless moguls? Are we obliged to listen when they speak? Can't we arrive at our logical conclusion? Or what's the point of education if another must tell you what to do or say? |

There are several more people waiting in line to take Kanu's place, and they are more radical and perhaps more tactical than him. |

DoTheNeedful: Any group that gain followership through hate speeches is potentially violent. Besides, there is a video tape of Kanu talking about buying arms. There are lots of video evidences to nail Kanu. That's true. I also made a video where I asked for arms to fight Nigeria. That's a motive, not an act. You can't sue me for intent, you need to catch me in the act - i.e with my weapons deployed! |

Akinaukwa: The most painful aspect is that the so called IPOB members never considered the consequences of their actions on Northerners residing in the South East and South South forgetting that the have brothers and sisters residing in the Northern part of Nigeria. Must they use violence to pursue their cause? The only group using violence so far is the Nigeria Military - commanded by the cattle herder - Buhari. That's indisputable. |

MrKong: Shekau to the North,Kanu to the East, Bado to the West, Militants to the South...enemies everywhere but wherever they are, The Python will find them and Dance So you will watch someone (say Boko Haram or IPOB) planting IED at some bus-stop (or corner, market, office, public buildings etc) in Lagos, PH, Kano, Kaduna. Owerri, Abuja in the dead of the night? And while you are doing that, you are chasing militants, and badoo upanddan with same security force? While at the same time doing massive arrest and profiling of suspicious looking Igbos, Hausas Fulanis, Kanuri, and Yorubas? Is that the sort of insecurity you wish for? Again careful what you wish for, cos you might get it. |

kingxsamz: actually Ipob miscreants are terrorists That won't be a bad idea. They have the spread and network to organise nationwide smart sabotage, and organised terror attacks. There are litany of soft targets across the country. Nigeria security agencies will simply be overwhelmed by the quantum of fear, civil disorder and mutual suspicion a 'terrorist' IPOB can wrought. Careful what you wish for, clueless ones! |

At Bakassi Bus Stop on the expressway, policemen threw tear-gas canisters at some youths who gathered at a nearby street. One tear gas cannister will cost at least N10,000 (that's if not inflated). They should keep firing, I'm sure they'll run out of them pretty soon. The stupid government think wasting money and terrorizing protesters is much better a tactics than dealing with fundamental issue. #brainless. |

Politics › Re: Why I Don't Believe In Biafra by PointB: 3:33pm On Sep 15, 2017 |
[s] Emmanuelbruno: In every endeavour in life there is a limit. A red line that when you reach it you pause and reflect. You think about the outcome because a step further will not only redefine your future but also for the future of those around you. Nnamdi Kanu was approaching that line when he called Nigeria a zoo and threatened to unleash terror. He reached the line when he violated bail conditions and insulted the president and commander in chief of arm forces. He crossed the line when he declared no election in Anambra state and created his Biafra Secret Services (BSS). Now it does not matter what I think or who I stand with. But any man who is not willing to suffer or die for the course he created and believed in is a scam. If Kano is as half dedicated to his course as his IPOB followers he would have surrendered to the Nigeria army. But no Kanu loves his freedom, he loves his life so he is hiding under his bed while the Nigerian army uses his followers for target practice. No man worth my tears let alone my blood. In 1970, even before the war end, Ojukwu handed over to his deputy and ran away to Ivory coast after sending millions of Igbos to early grave because of his course. He came back few years after only to contest for a senator in a country he went to war with, a war that claim the lives of more than 3 million Igbos. That action alone is a betrayal to his course and an insult to the souls of those who lost their lives in the Biafra war. He lost the election to an unpopular candidate. After that he started again the Biafra agitation. In 1999 at the arrival of democracy, he abandoned Biafra agitation and contested for president. Of course he lost and resumes Biafra agitation. The same thing happened in 2003. That is selfishness. By and large, any Igbo man who believes that a change of territorial name, [ a region with no enough fertile land for agriculture and depend on food from other region for survival; a landlocked territory and an enclave inside Nigeria] will make his life better is delusional. Let’s demand a better life from our local government chairmen, our state house of representative members, our governors, our federal house of rep members and our senator. They are the ones closer to us. It is through our demand from these people for accountability that our region will be the way we want it. [/s] Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. Shallow mind. |

Tyche: After this unnecessary waste of life, the least you could was call for caution and change of strategy by IPOB.
when I joined NL newly, I use to respect your post as a true blooded Igbo man, but you are beginning to loose it. So because the sectional Nigeria soldiers acted like the barbarians they are, legitimate calls for referendum should cease? And the dead would have been for nothing? How about honoring the dead by the staying the course? How about calling for justice against those who butchered them in cold blood? What change of strategy do you suggest? Cower in fear or call to arm? |
